Frame Coffee

I headed here on a beautiful Sunday to unwind and have a nice relaxing day with some friends before visiting the near by Flea Market ( the Grand bazaar, I’d definitely give it a visit) , and I remember that Frame was nearby with it’s astonishing frame themed cafe and beautifully designed coffee. I was quite stunned when i saw how dedicated they were to the imagery of frames throughout the whole of the cafe. Even though it was already quite late into the day, their waffles and drinks election were quite a good range and clearly had a lot to offer; from their beautifully crafted waffle sandwiches, to a beautiful crafted Belgian cinnamon waffle. to their range of drinks. Quite a nice classy selection of pastries and fine drinks that just make your day feel very fulfilled. After I finally was able to settle on making a decision being the Cardamom bun and a strong flat white. Originally we just planned to get our coffee and leave, but we had second thoughts because of the delightful ambiance. I’m so happy we decided to stay because I will have to tell you that their waffle sandwich and flat white were absolutely delightful. I haven’t had a flat white crafted so flawlessly in so long this cafe definitely meet my expectations and beyond it. The coffee beans were roasted to perfection and you could tell it with the amazing fusion of mixture between the milk and espresso. Absolutely rich and lightly strong to taste perfectly it’s job as a flat white. As for their bun it had a perfect consistency and balance of both sweet yet a slight bit savory kick with the cardamom which maxed it not heavy on the stomach. The atmosphere and ambiance of the interior design of rose was absolutely terrific ! Very relaxing and laid-back yet inviting, complimenting the cafe’s design with a minimalistic camera style, yet very elegant and detailed in design that really reflected and blended perfectly into the café. Lastly I’d like to highlight the friendliness of the staff that accommodated us so nicely although. I had originally ordered a shay latte, but I’m very picky when it comes to shay in general so I asked the barista quite a few questions about the mixture and all. She happily informed me about everything and even told that if I didn’t like it I could swap it, and that turned out to be the case funny enough. I do need to note that the portions/size for the sandwich and waffles in not what is displayed, it was quite much smaller when I was served so do put that into perspective before ordering. But overall J really cannot stress enough on how amazing my experience at Frane was: this must be a go to spot if you are near by and need some coffee to give you a refreshing start to your day All in all, I will have to say this is definitely one of my favorite cafes in upper west side that serves finely made flat whites, I’ve been to so many and rarely does anything hit the spot and felt like home yet a fine class roastery at the same time. Whole heartedly I really loved my experience at Frane, very palatable to the majority and packed with great flavor! All in all, a top rated experience, I invite you to pursue a visit and enjoy your coffee session here; I can assure you I’m definitely coming back again and again

Cute little coffee cafe on the second level. You have to walk up a small flight of stairs and it seems related to a Thai restaurant next door. We ordered the Es-yen (Thai style) latte with oat milk and it tastes like a regular oat milk latte that is already sweetened. It’s yummy. It is a pretty busy place.

My friend and I were wandering along Amsterdam looking for a coffee shop, when I spotted Frame and remembered adding it to my shortlist of cafes to try. It's in a cool building and pretty discreet - it's after a long set of stairs. Inside, we were so surprised by how cute and cool it was! A super clean, eclectic little shop with plenty of seating, it felt very warm and inviting. Our drinks: Butterscotch latte, iced ($6.25) - YUM! This was perfect. I did ask for it to be a little less sweet and that was absolutely the right move as it was super sweet. I loved this - 5/5 Hot mocha w oat milk and cappuccino foam ($6.25) - my friend said hers was just ok. Service was very friendly and accommodating and I would definitely return!

The best coffee in the neighborhood UWS!! Frame Coffee has been growing so fast since they opened. This place getting super busy everyday and don’t ask why? Cause coffee here is legit, one of the best coffee I’ve had. Also the staff is so nice and friendly, please come and get your favorite coffee at Frame.

Warm vibes, cozy seating, and solid coffee! This spot is a great one to read a book or have a chat with a friend. The aesthetic is all around cameras: walls have old film cameras, and you can even take a Polaroid with the machine in the corner. FYI large groups may not fit here. Drip coffee: balanced, highly drinkable medium roast. Additional amenities: water on tap, bathroom, natural lighting in big window at midday. Drip coffee score: 3.5/5. Everything else score: 4.5/5. Overall score: 4.4/5.

Finally made a stop into FRAME Coffee. What a gem of a place that also serves some excellent coffee. Just did a quick take out but would be an excellent place to meet friends for a coffee chat. Great vibe, quick service. Not a huge place but big enough. Definitely worth a stop in when you are up in the UWS.

Great place for quick bites breakfast and morning coffee. Recommend the egg & cheese one. Orange espresso (sour & bitter) is not for everyone though, still encourage you to try if you want something innovative

I absolutely love their coffee and staff is very friendly. But there should be a policy regarding laptops. The cafe is very small and its always crowded with people on their computers seating there for hours. I stopped going because there is never a place to seat 🥲

This coffee shop is an UWS gem. There are so many cute coffee shops to choose from, but this one is definitely one of my favorites. They not only have great coffee but really cute vibes. I love that they take the idea of "frame" coffee to fruition in how they have a mini photo-like booth. I say photo-like booth because it isn't a full photo booth, but it is a machine that does a little countdown and takes a photo. The photos aren't the best quality but its for the experience. You can take a photo and either take home or add it to the wall that has all the photos of other people who have come through. Across from the photo machine there is a wall that is covered with photos of customers. I think the front of the coffee shop is cuter than the back, but the front is better for a solo coffee or maybe with 1 or 2 other people. I haven't tried the food here, but I have heard that is it good! They have all sorts of waffle-like sandwiches and toast, not quite what other convention coffee shops have, which is also appreciate. It adds to the uniqueness and specialty of this shop in particular. They are also really considerate here. I ordered coffee online, and they waited until I got to the store to make it so my cappuccino wouldn't be cold by the time I picked it up. Which I thought was just so sweet!

My friend and I got a butterscotch latte with oat milk and the maple latte with oat milk. Both were pretty decent! You could taste the flavor in both but the espresso was definitely lacking. If you're not a sweet coffee drinker, I would avoid them. The price for each drink was $5.75 with a $0.90 milk substitution. Considering this is the UWS, the price isn't bad either. The inside has a few tables near the door but otherwise it's pretty narrow inside so I wouldn't recommend hanging out here. Overall, pretty good speciality lattes! I probably wouldn't come here otherwise though.

We got a butterscotch latte and a brown cinnamon latte! We had high hopes but unfortunately, the coffee lattes were both just average. I liked my butterscotch latte, but it wasn't strong enough? There was something off about the flavor for the brown cinnamon latte but could not quite put my finger on it. Overall, average coffee & did well to caffeinate me, but not a flavor that stood out/would entice me to come back :( Cute little shop (as in quite small) as most shops in NY are, but the vibes are amazing! There was a small photobooth which was such a nice touch! That being said, I would come back to try other drinks than the two I had!

Tried out their Thai style coffee (Es Yen) which was a double espresso with condensed milk. A little on the sweet side with the condensed milk but a pretty unique coffee! It was definitely on the pricier side though, after tip and tax it was over $7 for a coffee. A cute thing about this location is they have a cute little photo print out screen that allows you to get a black and white print out of a photo you take!

I had never had a croffle before visiting Frame, I have since tried them elsewhere as Frame got me hooked, but I can say theirs is the best one I've had so far! I got one plain and one with egg and cheese, both were divine. Also recommend the summer iced teas. Cute place for a coffee date or to get some work done!

Frame is a hidden pocket of quietness in the city. I loved the vibe--split level with the jointly owned restaurant next door. Both Thai establishments. Coffee was lovely. Lattes were prepared with simplistic graceful flavor. The ambiance was so warm and cozy. Go here with a lived one or good friend you can sit close to . (We were at Levain bakery and their espresso machine was down so they recommend Frame!) Another review giving it to you straight no chaser! Enjoy!

~ Brown Cinnamon Latte $7 ~ [Rating: 4/5] The latte is nice and smooth, but the espresso flavor doesn't come through strongly. Lightly sweetened with caramel, it's topped with decadent whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon powder. Overall, it was a really pleasant drink! ~ Shrimp Chilli Paste w/ Pork Floss Croffle $6 ~ [Rating: 4/5] The croffle is warm and comforting, but it was slightly denser than what I'm used to and could be crisper and flakier. The combination of sweet chili paste and pork floss is delightful, offering a great mix of sweet and savory flavors! - - - - - - - - Will I be back? Yes Want to visit the UES location to try other drinks and the croffle with gjetost cheese and ice cream!

Super cute Thai-inspired coffee shop in the UWS! It shares space with Sala Thai next door, so I think the seating situation is much more cramped on the weekend. The inside is so cute, and has a photo machine (was partially broken but still cute). The drinks are delicious, and baristas are friendly and helpful. The butterscotch and maple lattes are amazing! If you like fun flavored drinks this is a great spot.

Such unique Thai cafe! Wish I knew about this place sooner because I'm a fan of the orange espresso drink - I know it sounds odd but it's so refreshing. There's seating inside and it's connected to the Thai restaurant next door. Additionally there's a camera set up by the door you can take a pic at that will print a black/white photo on a small sheet of paper. Service was super fast too!

The UWS has been recently blessed with a flurry of new coffee shops and restaurants, and Frame Coffee is another great addition. It's cozily tucked in on top of Hummus Place, right above street level. Despite the deceptively small space, there's a decent amount of seating in the back (just enough for a couple people to read or do work). The layout makes for a cozy atmosphere. Interestingly, they share space (and possibly ownership?) with Sala Thai and have adjoining seating areas in the back. The cafe is neatly and thoughtfully decorated, but I was pleasantly surprised that Frame isn't all looks. They have some of the better coffee in the area. Their espresso drinks are smooth and not too milky, and their Thai-style coffee was appropriately strong and not too sweet when I asked for less condensed milk. Perhaps my favorite thing, though, was their "croffle" (a waffled croissant). I got mine with chili shrimp paste and pork floss and it was a delicious and totally different flavor. It also had a really satisfying texture: crisp on the outside but chewy on the inside.

OK, I love this chain of coffee, and when I used to live on the UES I went to that frame twice a week and once each weekend. Honestly....I like the one of the UWS (now that I live off it) so much more. I was on my way to trader joe's to buy some groceries and wanted to get a coffee and a snack before shopping so I wouldn't be starving while shopping. I looked up coffee shops and was so excited to find out that frame and open one on the upper west side. When you walk in, it feels like you're entering into someone's home, and the place is so quaint and warm. I literally was telling my boyfriend I need to take him there. When I went up to order my food. The staff was so pleasant and everything smelled amazing in the cafe. The music was not too loud it was very clean and the coffees came out fast. Now the best part was my breakfast sandwich which I had never had. They made the waffles fresh to order, the eggs were seasons and it had good old American cheese. I took the sauce off but literally felt like I could have eaten to. I may go next weekend just to have the sandwich again. It was fresh and amazing!

Came by for a quick caffeine fix after a long day. You pay at the counter but the seating area was extremely limited as the back half was blocked off for a different restaurant seating. The sign said that they do that on the weekends only. And the few tables they had in the front were all occupied. The baristas were super nice and efficient. I had an iced matcha americano, it was a little bitter and don't think I'll be back for it. 3/5 My friend had a vanilla latte with oat milk that they enjoyed. 5/5

Unfortunate first experience. They are not equipped to handle the morning rush or the rush of people wanting to welcome them in the neighborhood. From getting in line to getting my latte it took 30 minutes. I ordered a butterscotch latte. It's a good latte, not much butterscotch flavor. They have decaf espresso but it's $0.50 charge. Not sure if they also charge more if you get different type of milk rather than whole, ie oat milk. Next time I'll go back when I don't see much of line! I still would like to try a croffle. I think they were only making the plain ones because it was so busy!

This coffeeshop provides the best espresso and matcha in addition to Slate on the Upper West Side. Their speciality croffles and beverages are great options too. HOWEVER, the seating situation isn't the best and has taken away from the experience each time I've been. Seating and space to move in and out is very limited. There's free water, a points system, wifi, and bathroom available. But last time I used it, it wasn't maintained well.

Can't say enough great things at Frame. The decor, the service and my coffee!!! I got to talk to the one of the girls at the cashier register and she told me all about how the owner got all the cameras from Taiwan. For New York it was pretty spacious had a few tables, enough space to do study or do work for a few hours. I can't wait to come back, I only stayed for a little bit as I had an appt but it's totally a place to sit for a while.

This is one of the best coffee shops to study in NYC, especially the UWS! The menu is delicious and they have amazing croffles and coffee; the atmosphere is so vibrant inside and they have a good amount of seating with many outlets.

Walking into this cafe was a very positive experience. The welcome was warm, I really liked the traditional coffee offerings, and was surprised at the variance in menu. The Craffle (I tried the sesame) was excellent. The coffee was aromatic and delicious. Service is friendly and efficient. I'd describe the interior as Sleek and modern. Even the Bathroom nice and clean. I look forward to visiting Frame Coffee again and again.

Serving good coffee, service is also good. But the place is always packed, so it's a little uncomfortable as a working cafe or even as a sitting down cafe.

Pleasant, well lit place, with -- pleasantly -- not only young clientele. I had a maple latte, good. We sat with our two coffees for at least 1.5 hours and enjoyed conversation. Nice service.

Got the hot choloate with oat milk & it was yummy! You can get everything from a maple latte and the butterscotch latte to the classic espressos here. A few small tables in the back and in the front.

Frame coffee is the cutest and cleanest new coffee shop on the UWS! They've been open for three weeks and it was packed in there when I stopped in for a drink. Highly recommend their chai latte! Really friendly staff and lots of places to sit!

This will be my new spot. Plenty of tables, good coffee, tucked away on a busy street

The service was nice and friendly. This is one of the best bakery in nyc. Definitely come back again!!!!
