15 Essential Brunch Spots in Philly

"This Old City restaurant has an impressive brunch menu that serve up notable sweet and savory dishes (such as their cajun style grits and fried French toast). Pro-tip: Try their lamb & eggs (sizzling lamb chops. fluffy eggs and seasoned breakfast potatoes that’s served with chimichurri sauce). ." - Ernest Owens

The Ultimate French Toast of Philly

"Frame’s French toast is simplicity done stellar: Two large buttery slices that’s topped with berries, creme fraiche, and a generous drizzle of cinnamon syrup. But for those who want to be extra — they have a fried French toast (topped with vanilla ice cream, fruit compote, cinnamon, and powered sugar)." - George Banks-Weston

I usually don’t give 5star ratings but if it’s credit worthy, it’s credit worthy. Frame, has a really nice atmosphere. It’s a small space but very chill vibes. They have photo space in the back which we really enjoyed. The food was really good. We got the salmon with mash and asparagus, and the Alfredo. Both dishes was really good. I asked the waiter to serve us their most popular drink which is “My happy hour” absolutely delicious. I wouldn’t complain about the prices. All drinks are $16 but they’re good drinks. And the food and environment is worth it. I would recommend this place and definitely adding it to one of my fav chill spots in Philly

Had an amazing experience overall. The food was good, service was great, and vibe was so fun! Came here with a small group and we were well taken care of. The floor upstairs was occupied so the owner personally took care of us. He made a note of our dietary preferences and modified a few dishes to be dairy-free for me. The serving size of the appetizers was pretty good, I filled up with one of the hummus dishes (split the octopus and grilled veggies with a friend). I’d recommend the octopus over the veggies. For the entrée I got the sautéed veggies which was presented really well. Since it was only squash noodles and veggies, it was relatively lighter. The veggies in the entrée were relatively bland but the sauce made up for it. We were there on a Friday night and a live DJ was performing on the ground floor. It was a tad on the louder side but it wasn’t hard for the 6 of us to have a conversation without yelling.

My friends surprised me at Frame Philly for my birthday and upon arrival the vibes were vibing. The DJ that night was playing all the right songs and had us feeling right. The food was also very flavorful and enjoyable. We ended up ordering a few plates to share family style: Mussels, calamari, the pasta of the week (that week it was a seafood pasta) and lamb chops. Our server was very kind and attentive. The only downside and the reason that my rating is a 4 and not a 5 is because they are very strict with the timing and how long you’re allowed to be dining for, which is not the best when you’re trying to have a night out. No one likes to feel rushed, especially on your birthday. The manager (or whoever was in charge that night) was frustrating and for all the money we were paying for food and drinks, let us eat and stay until we please. Other than that, Frame is a vibe, so I guess don’t go on a busy night when there’s a potential to be rushed out of your seat.

The fact that this place has 4.4 stars truly blows my mind. It just proves that people go where the vibe is and truly don’t know what great food tastes like. First off, when I went to the bathroom the floor was extremely sticky so it already gave dirty vibes but I was with a friend who wanted to try the place so I let it go. I had a lemon drop with tequila and it came out to $20 for ONE DRINK. And the drink was very underwhelming. We had calamari and scallops and shrimp as an appetizer. The shrimp were overcooked but the scallops and sauce it came in was good. The bread was greasy and slightly burnt. For dinner I had the teriyaki salmon. The salmon was pretty good but the mashed potatoes taste like instant mashed potatoes and the asparagus was too soft for my liking. My friend had the chicken and it was flavorful and not dry but she also did not like the mashed potatoes. This is an overpriced establishment with good vibes. Shoutout to the dj. I will definitely not be back but to each their own.

Went here for a birthday gathering. The service was great. The restaurant ambience is really nice, but the food was average. I think they focus more on the vibes than the food. but it was good time overall 4/5 stars.

Love it here ! I came here 4 times for brunch , date night and girls night out (2x). Food is 10/10, the bartender got me so lit 🤣 (get the lemon drop). I love the music such an enjoyable dining experience. The club upstairs is too small though everytime I go up there I leave early.
