"For those who don’t want to bother assembling or reheating multiple dishes, a cheese tray featuring a selection of best-selling cheeses, prosciutto di parma, fresh fruit, Valrhona chocolate, house-made crostini, and jam is yours for the taking. There is also an option to add some bubbles for $30 or cold-weather red wine for $20. France 44’s website says this tray is “for two”; we say it’s for two days. Order this and snack on it for a couple of days in a row. It’ll keep. Preorder for pickup Saturday, February 13, or Sunday, February 14." - Alicia Banaszewski

Google
An absolute foodie destination. There are two sides to the shop: a large liquor store with an emphasis on hard liquor, and the area I made purchases in, the cheese shop. Cheese is my thing, and I was delighted to find they had a vast assortment with many items that are difficult to find in the US. Many cheeses had informational cards. The monger was quite helpful and patient as I made my selections, custom cutting many of the blocks for me. The shop also had a large range of accompaniments--jams, honey, crackers, pickles, butter--and a deli menu complete with a small case of delectable-looking baked goods.

Love their sandwiches. We got the grinder and the prosciutto di parma. A bit pricey but quality ingredients.

France 44 is an amazing store filled with a great selection of meats, cheese, sausage and so much more. It's a food lover's paradise. If you are looking for cheese from all over the world, this is the place to shop. I love having sandwiches made fresh to order. The spicy tuna banh mi is to die for. The liquor store that's connected is also huge and has a vast array of wine and liquor. This is the perfect spot to pick up things for a holiday party or for a quick and tasty lunch!

Sandwiches were amazing but I ordered a to go side of beets and they seemed a little on the older side. I love beets. Disappointed. But again, sandwiches were great.

First time here. WOW. The employees were professional and and happy to help. There is the meat and cheese shop. Fresh meats, breads, etc. If your first time here, it will take a while to decide what you want to eat. The sandwiches are fabulous. Made before your eyes with real meat and cheese, etc. Not like other places that serve processed food. The other side is the Wine and Spirits store. An unbelievable selection of items available. The employees have excellent knowledge of the regions and areas where the wine comes from. There is no pressure to purchase.

Love the atmosphere, super friendly staff and great quality sandwiches (besides meat and cheese). A bit pricey but would recommend dining here at least once.

I'm giving a 4 vs 5 star only because I feel it's slightly overpriced. Other than that, this place is a food lovers dream. Variety is amazing, staff is educated and friendly. When food looks like art, you know you're in good hands.

Got the club sandwich and for sure was a bit surprised at the smallish size but every ingredient was such high quality that it is worth it. Some of the best tasting turkey I’ve ever had. Baguette is very crunchy and delicious. Yum, want to try them all!

Yelp
These sandwiches are bussin'. I got the chicken salad sandwich, and it was absolutely top-tier. Fantastic bread. We also got the kids' melt (which is just a grilled cheese and a little tomato soup), which my 3 year old enthusiastically ate, so much so that I was not even allowed a "mom tax" bite. Staff are super kind and were great with my kid, and the shop itself has so many fun groceries. A great spot to pick up some treats for the otherwise hard-to-shop-for. Can't recommend enough!

Yelp
I have been to the France 44 deli multiple times, and it is one of my favorite sandwich shops! (sister stores are St. Paul Cheese Shop and St. Paul Meat Shop). The cheese is superb, and today I tried the chicken salad for the first time (with added brie) and I will definitely be getting it again. The Spicymonger, Smurk, the Grinder and Sweet Chorizo are also favorites. It is so hard for me to pick whenever I go here. In the pre-made refrigerated section, the Pimento Cheese spread is second to none. France 44 also offers wine and beer on tap, so you can have a glass of something nice with your lunch at the tables in the back, or on the shaded front patio (you buss your own tables). Pro Tip: We take these sandwiches on the plane whenever we can. Pick them up the day before, put into a zip-lock in the fridge, and then you can enjoy a gourmet sandwich on the plane. Parking is usually no problem, as France 44 has their own lot, but the construction right now is making it a beast to drive on 50th and get anywhere in that area (as of Oct 2024).

Yelp
Loaded with specialty ingredients and cheeses, inviting atmosphere, and the staff were all very friendly. We stopped to grab gifts for a foodie father-in-law and decided to stay for lunch. Their tuna bahn mi was delicious, greatly exceeding my expectations. The bread was super crispy and the pickled vegetables were a perfect compliment to the Vietnamese inspired tuna salad. Overall excellent.

Yelp
Wow! What a number of sites and smells to be taken in in such a small space. We stopped in right before Christmas to check out the cheese counter but found ourselves distracted by so many other interesting things in the store. You could pick up so many great provisions here as gifts or just to treat yourself. There were a few cheese samples out as well, including a Comte that they only have for a few weeks of the year released by the French government. We couldn't miss out and grabbed some of that for Christmas dinner as well as some other small off cuts of cheese. Thinking we would make it out with only what we came it for, we were thwarted by the fabulous looking dessert case and snagged a spiced orange bar on the way out. A perfect place to get lost and find something tasty treats!
