Francis Hall is an intimate spot, not very big but dim lighting and chill ambiance. Bar expertise Jabari was a big highlight and delight, along with the soulful saxophone of Terrell Ambrose! Jabari handles the bar with skill and finesse. I had the Smoke & Pearls and will get again! Delicious, fruity and perfect for summer sipping. With the easy conversation and intimate saxophone paired to the speakers, I will definitely come back soon!

Francis Hall delivers New York City-level cocktails and atmosphere in the heart of Alexandria’s Old Town. Do not let the fact that this intimate cocktail lounge is tucked inside a hotel hallway bias you against a visit. This is not your standard corporate copy and paste lobby bar. The menu includes unique fare (like a cocktail involving fennel and mint, delicate and refreshing) with more familiar offerings (the classic French 75). The aesthetic is dim and moody. With bar seating and booths for two around the perimeter, it is not the ideal venue for groups, but it makes perfect sense for dates or a cozy conversation over drinks with a friend. At Francis Hall, quality and price are strongly correlated. That said, when even basic bars are charging $16-$18 for a standard cocktail, paying $18 for a premium drink at Francis Hall almost counts as a bargain these days.

Our first visit to Francis Hall was outstanding! Niranjan was our bartender, and he went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Most of our cocktails we left up to him to decide on, and he blew us away every time, including a liquid nitrogen cocktail. We can’t wait to come back!

Great local spot that's a little tucked away. Speakeasy vibes, but easy to find. Niranjan was our bartender and he did an amazing job crafting two mocktails for me! Glad to have a spot that I can come for a crafted mocktail. Will definitely be back!

We came in as a group of 6 on a very busy Saturday night… The vibe is excellent and the staff was great! This place has a unique appeal, it’s cozy and intimate and beautifully decorated. The staff was great too! And they have most all the spirits and mixers needed for most of the popular craft cocktails. Highly recommend stopping in to give them a try!

I was in town visiting family and decided to check this place out. It’s inside one of the newer hotels in Old Town and it has a really nice vibe. The drinks were great and my bartender Jabari was phenomenal. I’ll be back again soon

After going to the Good Fortune rooftop bar (in the same hotel) on a date, we stumbled upon a sign for Francis Hall. Quite curious as to what it was, we walked down the back alley to find said location. I will say the directions were lacking and it took us about 10minutes to find exactly where it was at, but it sure was worth it. Quick side note:The bar is smaller and could only seat about 20-25 at any given time with tables really only made for 2, so don't plan to bring large parties here. But We absolutely loved it. It was decorated very lovely with fantastic cherry blossom accents! It had a very awesome menu that paid homage To its founding bar tender and the local area! It is definitely has a "sexy" night out on the town kind of vibe to it, which makes it great for a place to stop in after a nice dinner with friends and to keep the evening going! The bartender was very knowledgeable of all the drinks on the menu as well, as being very friendly and engaging with all the patrons in the bar! An overall great experience and look forward to making this my new go to spot whenever I'm in Old town Alexandria
