Francis Hall delivers New York City-level cocktails and atmosphere in the heart of Alexandria’s Old Town.
Do not let the fact that this intimate cocktail lounge is tucked inside a hotel hallway bias you against a visit. This is not your standard corporate copy and paste lobby bar.
The menu includes unique fare (like a cocktail involving fennel and mint, delicate and refreshing) with more familiar offerings (the classic French 75).
The aesthetic is dim and moody. With bar seating and booths for two around the perimeter, it is not the ideal venue for groups, but it makes perfect sense for dates or a cozy conversation over drinks with a friend.
At Francis Hall, quality and price are strongly correlated. That said, when even basic bars are charging $16-$18 for a standard cocktail, paying $18 for a premium drink at Francis Hall almost counts as a bargain these days.
