Franco's Taqueria

We did a takeout tonight. As always, everything was delicious. I've never had a single complaint about Franco's. At a time when resteraunt food quality and service is declining everywhere, Franco's consistently gets it right. I feel better about spending our hard earned paycheck here.

This is my first time here and WOW!!!! this is amazing food. If you haven’t eaten here it’s a must try. You can eat in and they serve a lot of food. We were pleased with the food and the service. Very friendly and kind. The place is very clean also.

Authentic and delicious! Many options on the menu, great vegetarian options, kids menu had several options- appeased my picky eaters! We ordered takeout, our order was accurate, food looked yummy, portions were more then expected. Staff was friendly and helpful- would venture here anytime. My only suggestion would be putting the nacho cheese on the sideto avoid soggy chips, but I also should have asked for that. We had: Veg tostadas, Veg nachos, carne plate, plantains, black beans & rice, guacamole side, kids nachos, kids steak taco, kids cheese quesadilla and chicken tender kids meal.

Went in to order to go. Restaurant was clean, employees were friendly! We ordered chicken empanadas, chicken tacos (soft), steak tacos (hard shell), plantains, and chicken chalupas. The empanadas were large and worth the money but for me, a little bland, my boyfriend really liked them dip in their hot sauce. The chicken tacos were great, they gave a side of lettuce/ tomato/ sour cream, layered nicely to put on your tacos. Steaks tacos were great, shells were crispy. Plantains were “fire”, very good. The chicken chalupas were very soggy and the flavor was okay. 4/5 because most things were good and we’d definitely go back and try other options. Overall pretty good!

Excellent food at good prices. This meal today was take out but we have eaten here in the past and the service was good.

Excellent salsa sauce and warm tacos. The place is clean and the staff is very courteous. Large portion size and tasty well cooked food. We ordered a vegetarian bourito and vegetarian engelada. Both of them were super yummy.

Franco's has the best food in town. My partner and I eat here, both dine in or take out, very often and we have yet to find something that disappoints. Since eating here for the first time in 2021, I have yet to find another that tops this place. The seafood tacos are my favorite, and their churros are to die for :)

Next level flavor!!! My family love Mexican food, but we've never experienced anything like Franco's Taqueria! We saw the menu and thought it looked a little pricey, but there's no question, WORTH IT!! First time I entered the restaurant it was very clean and comfy, welcoming. Young lady behind the counter was very polite and friendly. Offered and suggested things to compliment the meal I choose. Now the food. We've been in the area a little over a month now and I can say that we have ordered from Franco's more than we have ordered pizza! We go up and down the menu trying different things and of course grabbing a thing or 2 from our already tried favorites. Not a single disappointment to date! To anyone thinking about trying them, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? To the entire staff at Franco's, please never ever change!

Service was great and super accommodating we first thought we were going to be a party of 6 but ended up with 2, our waiter was so nice about all the changes and treated us great . The menu is extensive got the enchiladas, la Mexicana phenomenal rice and beans. Perfect. Had a great time. Highly recommended.

Yum Yum! Food was delicious. Waitress was very kind. The hot sauces were quite good too!

Ordered food. Received text that food was ready. Walked into store to find a private event. They weren't serving food.

Bait and switch menu. Do not order as the business is unethical. Placed an order at 11:40 AM, and was charged 33% more than lunch menu stated. Proprietor tried to convince us that we were in the wrong, and was then very rude and called the police when we called them out on their unethical service and cancelled the order!! Absolutely mind-boggling to us!

The food here is TOP Notch! I order here at least twice a week I recommend the Enchiladas mixt and the sampler for the appetizer.

The taco salad used to be so good here, but I stopped ordering it because the bottom of the salad taco shell was wet and soggy. After 5 times of requesting a change, I gave up and went elsewhere. A shame, because all the ingredients were good! My husband always likes what he gets there, but he doesn't crave taco salad.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. I don't know why I keep giving other Mexican spots a try. They are NEVER as good. I always get fish tacos from here and they are ALWAYS perfect. We top it off with rice and beans, plantains a tres leches cake and fresh juices.

No pretensions, just real good Mexican food. Not Telmex, not SoCal. Chicken fajitas and steak fajitas were excellent on the small puffy tortillas. Enchiladas were also excellent. We will be back.

This little spot is a neighborhood gem. It's a small, quaint, clean restaurant on Scott street in Riverside. Parking is limited in front of the store. It's best to park on one of the side streets, near the restaurant. Well within short walking distance. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The seating area in the dining room is small, but you have good space between each table. Beef, chicken, and shrimp, are the main players in the menu selections here. My wife had 3 Ground Beef, hard shell tacos with Spanish and beans. She also got a fresh squeezed lime-ade. She enjoyed it. I had the 3 Ground Beef Enchiladas with Spanish Rice and beans. I had a warm cup of tea. We liked the quality and presentation of our food! This little spot will be seeing us again! We both enjoyed our experience. There is another Francos in Palmyra, both owned by the same owners. Credit/Debit cards, Apple Pay or cash are accepted here. We both enjoyed our meals.

Their food is so good! I absolutely love their fresh Limeade and Chicken Soup the most. Everything I've ever gotten has been so fresh and flavorful. Hands down one of the best restaurants!

They messed up the order and then admitted that she messed up the order and then she wanted us to give her back the Chalupa's after she gave us the wrong order. Why would you want the Chalupa's back? Should've just corrected the issue and that would of been it.

Not happy at all with the order received! Not only was it half spilled into the bag but the food inside the trays was all mixed up or mushed to one side. The food tasted old and left much to be desired.

Man I love Franco's taqueria, and it's not to be confused with other similar named restaurants because the taste isn't the same. The dish I mostly get is the steak taco salad and I put a lot of red sauce on top. Man that taco salad is just amazing. That red sauce is super spicy but good af. Finally when they say it's spicy it's actually spicy! Not no liars! not for the weak lol. That real Red! Mind you I drive from Burlington just to go here, but it's worth it every time. I've had tacos, burritos, and chillequilles all were good but that taco salad man. Other taco salads or burrito bowls just don't compare I don't know what it is. Francos I love you, y'all the only restaurant I get hype about locally. Also it's byob! I might have to pull up with a bottle and act out for a special occasion.

It's a little Mexican joint in town with authentic food. I have never had a bad dish there. Try it, you'll like it.

Outstanding food. The flavors are rich. Can taste the history of these recipes passed down through the generations. Don't hesitate to come try this gem.

Have not been here in about 3-4 since I moved out of town. Never reviewed before since I wasn't on yelp at the time. Anyway, just like I remember it. Quality, authentic, delicious Mexican food. We used to stop on a lot for taco platters. The menu looks like it has grown, which is always good to have options. I went with the Franco's trio platter...it was huge and excellent...I guess that's why it's on the menu cover! Waitress recommendation between that and the Big Boy tacos (which i will definitely try next time). The burrito was very good, orange sauce was addicting. Chicken enchiladas were pretty good, I feel like chicken can be dry easy, but the addition of the sauce and avocado slices added great flavor here. The chili relleno was awesome, pepper melted in your mouth, had a nice batter on it, covered with some cheese and soir cream! Mmm. Platters have rice and beans with them, rice was solid, I just prefer my beans a little less liquid/creamy...but they did taste great. Very clean, friendly staff, no real complaints other then the beans ( and they tasted good). As far as a close Mexican spot with good food at an affordable price this place does an excellent job! Well definitely return next time I'm in the area!

They make delicious food! I live right up the street from Franco's, and it's one of my go-to spots. They're incredibly kind too. I go all the time, and I haven't had anything less than an awesome experience! If you're looking for recommendations, definitely try the enchiladas!

They have the best Mexican food within a 20-mile radius! It's a byob and not fancy but the food makes up for it. Their chips and salsa are homemade as is their tortillas for our steak burrito supreme and soft steak tacos. The refried beans is soooo creamy. And the rice is buttery and cooked perfectly. The portions are huge too.

Food is so yummy! I am so glad to have delicious Mexican food so close! I have ordered from here and been in person. Always good!

Im a big fan of Francos. My wife is from San Diego and really misses the Mexican food. She loves Francos and places it as one of the best Mexican restaurants she has had on the east coast. Very clean. It is a little pricy but the ingredients make it worth while.

Great food, I do takeout and have never been disappointed. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

The food tastes good but they do not listen! This is my second Taco salad and both times I've asked no jalapeños on the salad and not only are they on the salad but buried underneath the layers unfortunately. It's sad because we would probably patronize them more if they cared enough to get the order right.

I'm not from the area but was at a friends house and googled Mexican and this place came up.... I'm glad I ordered from here food was delicious!! What I love was the food was very flavorful and they didn't skimp on the shrimp!!! You know how you order something and they put the minimum in to keep you satisfied well they went above a beyond!!! I couldn't even finish it.... On top of the food being good when I went to pick up the atmosphere was lively and Jackie was so fantastic at making suggestions I ended up ordering a few more things. If I'm ever in the area again I'll definitely be back I know I'm going to crave their burrito and guac!

What are you doing reading reviews? Go place your order lol My sister and I *stumbled* upon this place a few Saturdays ago after a walk in the park. Best stop ever! Will certainly be back.

I have to give this place 5 stars. The rice and beans were really good. I ordered a chicken chimichanga of which was definitely tasty but the guy walked up to the table and asked if we like spice before bringing out a homemade sauce that took it over the top. Excellent customer service, good food and not too busy around lunch time during the workweek. Really enjoyed and recommend this place.

Food was delicious! With great flavor and friendly staff. I would definitely stop by again and yes it was my first time eating there. Services could have been quicker but overall a good experience!

Called and placed an order. Waiting to give them card number while they helped another customer and phone call got disconnected. We've been trying to call back for the last 40 minutes and it goes straight to voicemail. What a fucking joke of an establishment Update: they called back over after over an hour and they were extremely apologetic.

Meh. That's all I'll say. Nice people working there, but just not very good food. As a small, independent business, I wish I could give it more stars, but I'd be lying.

I am so happy right now! My son and I just had dinner at Franco's and it was SOooo good! Everything was fresh, very tasty! They were a little busy with take-out orders when we arrived, but our waitress (possibly co-owner?) brought us menus and chips with salsa while we waited. I got the orchata, which was made to order. Creamy, refreshing, and just the right amount of cinnamon and sweetness. We shared a, "Franco's Appetizer". It's a sampler platter of cheese quesadilla, chicken fluatas, fried plantains, and tostones that were so yum! He ordered the (3) ground beef soft tacos, with option #2 (lettuce, tomato & cheese). I ordered the (3) beef tongue soft tacos, with option #4 (cilantro, onion, lemon, lettuce, tomato, pico). They even put a couple of jalapeños and a drizzle of crema on top of each. The tacos were filled to maximum capacity, delicious, just perfect! I also ordered a small side of guacamole. We had no room for it in our tacos, but we figured it out. So good! We were both pretty full at this point, but we HAD to try some dessert. He ordered the flan, I ordered the tres leche cake. So. Freaking. Good! His flan was rich and dense, almost the consistency of a cheesecake. My cake was sweet, subtly flavored and the lovely taste of condensed milk (which was pooled around the bottom of the cake) was so wonderful! Franco himself greeted all of the customers, was genuinely warm and interested in how you were enjoying your experience. Local folks picking up take-out were recognized and treated like old friends. We felt very welcome and at home by the staff and atmosphere. Understated, but comfortable. One of my new favorite places! We will definitely be back!

I was brought here by friend and fellow Yelp!er "Pamela K." who has done nothing but rave about this place for months now. I finally acquiesced and I couldn't be happier that I did. The food is fresh, the restaurant is clean and the service is outstanding. First key to eating on the cheap -- BYOB! Score. Franco runs the show here. He cooks, serves, and plays gracious host with ease. He treats you like family - lets you know what goodness he has just concocted today (house-made Chipotle sauce on the day I went) and is super-accommodating. I don't eat meat and although there are not a ton of veggie options on the menu Franco will whip you something up to suit your tastes in a heartbeat. I requested the fried plantains as someone here suggested. They were excellent, thick-cut. I typically like mine a little thinner but these were AWESOME. Also, I split an order of fried plantains and had a burrito with beans and rice on the side. Total bill? 9.58. Yep, you read that right. Rachel Ray... bring your "$40/day" -- and walk out with change! After eating lots of delicious real Mexican down in Hammonton (migrant workers are particular about their Mexican :) and even some in Philly, I can say that this is one of the best spots around.

After living in the area for so long, I decided to try this place. I am a die hard Mexican food lover and this food was amazing. The tacos, burritos, tostadas, the nachos EVERYTHING !!! Delicious. I didn't even get to take a picture, it smelt so good I dug in immediately. I will forever go here.

Super tasty, home made Mexican food, and friendly service. Really love the mixt enchiladas and enjoyed every bite. A man, who I believe is the owner, came out to chat with us to see if everything was ok. We told him we really savoured our dinner. Would absolutely return if in the area again!

Where to begin? The food was marvelous!. It's a family operation and they actually care what you think. The jalapeño poppers were homemade goodness (and I don't normally like poppers.). Be sure to try the sauce. Our entrees left us with the impression that everything on the menu is good. It was our first time there but we will be back!

This was just what I've been looking for! Someplace local that makes quality great tasting fresh food. I placed an order after seeing multiple reviews on Delanco's FB page and figured why not. Upon arrival I thought perhaps I was misled because of the appearance. I have no idea how long Franco's has been around or what was there before but it looks like a Chinese restaurant with pictures of combos on the wall... Really who cares because I was there for takeout anyway. The lady at the register was super nice and my order was ready 13 minutes after I placed it and it was delicious! Never having eaten there before and worried about the food being spicy we ordered my son the quesadilla as backup to the tacos... he ate both. I cleaned my plate of carne Asada. I'll be back again!

Definitely my go to spot ! Their chorizo tostones are incredible and so is there chicken soup ! Tacos are pretty damn good too ! Definitely repeat customers here !

We are from California and we love good Mexican food. For 2 years the only good Mexican we could find was a friend cooking (he's from Mexico and California) or cook it our selves (we are not Mexican). Then we were referred to this place (after trying so many others). This is the closest place we could find to authentic and it is not that far off what we are used to. If you are looking for a real Mexican feel, this is it.

Hmmm. I went here for two reasons. One is a double 5 star review by Christopher R, the other is because it's near where I work and I've ridden by there a number of times on bicycle rides through Riverton and Delanco. It was obviously not one of the usual lousy Spanish /Mexican chain restaurants. Looked interesting. Well, first of all, the menu is pretty big, has some vegetarian and lots of seafood choices (I don't eat meat) and the decor is very nice for a small inexpensive place. The service (provided by Franko?) was very friendly and helpful. I had the shrimp Tacos, and they were absolutely perfect. They came with home made sauces which were fantastic. I also had fresh squeezed lemonade, which was perfect - not too sweet like you usually get. Everything was quite nice, fresh and perfectly seasoned.

I've never had Mexican quite like this! My fiancé and I were in the mood for some Mexican food and as always, I turned to Yelp! We parked on a side street and walked over to Franco's small storefront. We were eagerly greeted by a server who went over what they had to drink. My fiancé decided on a Coke and I got a Hibiscus soda which was awesome! The server brought over fresh tortilla chips with salsa, guacamole and green hot sauce. The salsa was fresh and ok. The green hot sauce was good and the guacamole was great! I usually like chunky guacamole that is thick. Franco's guacamole is nothing like I've ever had. It is thin, more like a sauce and has a strong cilantro flavor. It is fresh, well seasoned and slightly spicy. We ordered the 3 cheese quesadillas as an appetizer. The dough is freshly made. And is like nothing I've ever had before. The shape and flavor is closer to what I've had as an Empanada. But these were far better than anything I've had before. They were fresh, crisp and well seasoned. Their delicious cheesiness oozed out of the crisp shell. I will return for these alone. My fiancé ordered the chorizo enchiladas and enjoyed them a great deal. I am a vegetarian and found many options. I did not ask if chicken stock is used to cook the rice or beans, but I tried to steer clear of them just in case. All in all this is a small place to stop in for take out or to eat in some awesome Mexican food. I am not a Mexican food expert but I feel that Franco's offered items I have not heard of and items prepared in very different (and delicious!!!) ways. I definitely recommend stopping in to try their food!

Seems to be a family business (read: friendly, fresh food, service can be a little slow). Has been open for a little over a year (~13 months?). Excellent food. My party had nachos (homemade chips, which are not soggy with oil or burnt - like some of the other places I've eaten at), one set of regular tacos, one set of marinated tacos and a quesadilla. Standard basic fare. We were pleased with the basics and will probably try the whole fried fish next time and branch out a little into some of the less basic dishes. Drink orders were the sangria soda and homemade lemonade, which was not too strong, definitely fresh, and had subtle hints of some other flavors. Wasn't quite sure what it was. But it's not standard lemonade. I love steak tacos, but few places do them well, so I usually opt for carnitas. --- will definitely go fully steak next time I'm here. Delicious. Took a menu. If you call in advance, they'll have stuff ready for you to pick up.

Great food and accommodated my vegetarian diet and a vegan friend. The atmosphere is simple, but the service is friendly. BYOB.

This is definitely the best Mexican food in South Jersey. I actually met Franco for the first time at the Willingboro farmer's market and he told me to come check out his restaurant in Riverside. The restaurant is spotless and is in a lively location near the Riverline station, which is great if you want to BYOB. Franco treats every customer like they are family and the menu has an extensive collection of Mexican along with some Ecuadorian and Brazilian offerings. The service is a little slow but it is definitely worth the little bit of a wait. I've ordered everything from shrimp fajita to churrasco ecuatoriano and they've all been outstanding. I can't wait to go back.

Awesome! Very friendly, and the food is very fresh and exceptionally good. I got the chicken enchilada, and it was everything I wanted and more. Super FRESH!!! Other people in our party got beef enchilada, carnita tacos, and carnita burrito. Everyone was happy with their meal, and it was very affordable. Forget taco bell, and don pablos, this place is real, clean, and awesome! Highly Recommended!!!
