I'm not sure if this was a good hot dog for the value... Especially when the hot dogs are already during $10 each. I understand that. I ordered the beef bulbolgi hot dog that tasted pretty solid. One of my favorite parts though, was the fries that was seasoned very well! I also like the handcrafted sodas they exclusively offer and is a nice break from the pepsis and the Dr. Peppers and Coca-Colas that were used to seeing. They also serve hamburgers and other items as well! Ordering this very straightforward by using the self serve kiosk. And a number was called out to you once your order was ready.

Google
The hot dogs have the snap when you bite it to them. Juicy and full of flavor. The toppings were fresh. You can make your own or order one of the menu options. Fries are bomb- nicely seasoned, you can also get smothered fries and the options all looked good. Finally, we ordered 2 milkshakes and they looked so inviting. Thick whipped cream - just the right amount. Dee-lish!

Took my family here today for lunch. The food was delicious. My wife tried the Chicago style hotdog, I tried the Texas one and the kids had the hamburger and fries from the kid’s meal. Dat was very nice and patient with us as we were ordering. Will definitely be back to try some of the other styles.

Frank's and Furter's Handcrafted Hot Dogs - A Must-Visit for Hot Dog Lovers If you're a fan of hot dogs, Frank's and Furter's Handcrafted Hot Dogs is an absolute must-visit. I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and I was blown away by both the quality of the food and the exceptional service. First off, the server David is amazing—attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about making sure every customer has a great experience. The menu is packed with creative and delicious options, and I couldn't resist trying a couple of their signature dogs. I started with the Bulgogi Sizzle, and let me tell you, it's unlike any hot dog I've ever had. The combination of Angus beef, marinated Korean beef, kimchi relish, gochujang sauce, teriyaki mayo, black and white sesame, and green onion is simply to die for. The flavors are perfectly balanced, with a kick of spice and a savory sweetness that left me craving more. Next up was the Texas Forever Dog, which takes a classic chili dog to the next level. Topped with B Frank's chili, barbecue sauce, cheddar cheese, jalapeños, bacon bits, and brown mustard, this dog is a flavor explosion. The spicy, smoky, and cheesy goodness is everything you could want in a hot dog. And let's not forget about the corn dogs—they're huge! Perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, they're a great addition to any order. If you've never been to Frank's and Furter's before, make it your next stop, especially if you're heading to the mall or catching a movie nearby. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. This is hands down the best hot dog place I've ever been to, and I can't wait to go back!

Google

They also have hamburgers, fries-garlic, truffle/ chilie,- cheese , sodas, milkshakes, chicken burgers And chicken nuggets, and chilie.) Round 3, tried coney dog w chkn sausage. The chile and chkn sausage has a spicy kick. Yummm

Google
Hot diggity dog! This place has some very tasty hot dogs! I had the spicy Italian sausage with the pretzel bun omg 😲 soo good and spicy 😋 the chili cheese fries were just ok not a huge fan. And the milk shake was sooo good 👍 I highly recommend. Only down side is the wait is ridiculously long but worth it for the flavors.

Google
If dog haus is a 5 then Umai is a solid 4.5. The dogs have a great snap and the fries are solid. There's a huge selection of dogs and seven different kinds of fries. That said it's not the best deal in the world, expect to spend about 15 dollars per person plus tip. Still pretty good for a mall

Google
Over priced, over cooked meal. 23.00 for a over cooked hot dog that they didn’t even bother to read the directions on the “custom” dog I over paid for. Pretty bad when the lemonade is the best part of the meal. I even asked for very light sauce, And I even use the word please because I really didn’t want to get messy while sitting in the mall trying to eat a hotdog. My first bite got all over the place and got on one of my favorite shirts. I was wearing. I was pissed so I paid a tip to probably ruin one of my favorite shirts.. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Save your money. Save your clothes eat somewhere else.

Yelp
Great and fast service (we were one of the first customers). Everything looked amazing. I wanted to love my chili cheese fries even with the added bacon (not as crispy) but I wanted a little more of the cheese sauce. We opted for a regular no topping angus beef hot-dog and it was big. My daughter got the burger and she liked it.

Yelp
Stopped by after watching a movie yesterday. Ordered the Sweet potato fries and a hotdog for me and and my wife . I appreciate the workers for still serving us even though they were already closed. (And got served a free drink)!

Yelp
This hot dog place is located in Oakridge mall but don't be fooled, this place has top notch gourmet dogs including a ton of different veggie dog options. I got a Korean style corn dog which I was able to customize with a veggie frankfurter. It was freshly fried and came with honey mustard and sriracha. Really delicious and made for a filling snack!

Yelp
Hot dogs and mall food courts are a classic combo reminiscent of peanut butter and jelly or popcorn and the movies. Who doesn't remember seeing the brightly-colored storefront of Hot Dog on a Stick during childhood visits to their local mall? Frank & Furter's takes that time-honored pairing and elevates it, bringing it into the interconnected 21st century with a plethora of flavor options from not only around the country, but around the globe. With sixteen unique and diverse topping & dog combinations there is bound to be something for every palette. Still not satisfied? There is a fully customizable build-your-own option for even the pickiest of eaters. I tried the Texas Forever and was more than satisfied as it was packed with flavor and had the perfect amount of heat. Don't sleep on the sides either as I was left thoroughly impressed by the mozzarella stick which was crispy and fresh, providing a perfect cheese-pull with every bite. My only complaint was that they don't offer the only correct dipping sauce option for mozzarella sticks, namely marinara sauce, so I had to settle for ranch. All told, Frank & Furter's is a welcome addition to the dining scene at the Oakridge Mall food court and I'll definitely be back here soon to try one of their other delectable options.

Yelp
Worst service ever, the kids working the counter could care less. The counter girl with the piercings and the short cook had no sense of urgency. They took 20 minutes to make a kids meal and ended burning the corn dog. We had to toss it. They thought it was funny. Never again.

Yelp
Frank & Furter's took over Umai, and I finally had the opportunity to try it out. Each dog was around $8. For a dollar more, you could check out their daily specials to get a dog with a good size amount of fries. Since I came on a Tuesday, I had ordered the special for day, which was the Soul of Memphis and a side fries. Service was kind of non-existent. You order from the automated screen. When your order is ready, your number will be called. The bacon wrapped dog was overcooked and drowned in BBQ sauce between the buns. You just get a big gulp of sauce in every bite. Fries were subpar. I'd be down to try other dogs, but I can't say I'm impressed.

Yelp
Frank & Furter's is a new hot dog joint located in the food court of Oakridge Mall. My friend and I decided to try it before watching our movie. Honestly, I never thought I'd be impressed by hot dogs but this place surprisingly changed my mind. It had a fun nostalgic vibe to it and seems group/family-friendly. Food: 5/5 We ordered a BBQ Bacon Burger, Smokin' Chipotle Dog, House Fries, and a caramel milkshake. The smoked sausage on the Chipotle Dog was sooo good and had a snap to it! The fries were also crispy, hand-cut, and fresh - you don't really see that too often at restaurants. All the flavors were great and I enjoyed the different fusions they offered. For milkshakes, they have a variety of flavors to choose from. One of the best shakes I've tried in SJ. Service: 5/5 The girls at the counter were friendly and helpful. They offered me a free sample when I couldn't decide which soft-serve flavor to choose.

Yelp
Passing by and saw a Chill Cheese Dog And I ate one while walking around. No long lines and nice customer service from the lady with the tattoo arm. It is hard to find a good hot dog and this place has a large selection.

Yelp
We tried this hot dog place for lunch, and the food was delicious! You can order at the 2 kiosks. There is a variety of hot dogs, burgers, fries, milk shakes, and kids menu. The hot dog bun was soft and fresh. The hotdog was cooked perfectly. The French fries was very good, too. I tried the pineapple soft serve ice cream, which tastes like dole whip! Overall, I highly recommend this place inside oakridge mall.

Yelp
https://eservices.sccgov.org/facilityinspection/Closure/Index?sortField=sortbyEDate Vermin are in the food. See this link. Do not eat here. I ate here once. I got violently sick. Now we know why. Kitchen is dirty They are claiming it is a mall. That does not mean that they cannot keep their food sanitary. Their response says it all. They do not care. This is a real profile with other postings. I was deathly ill.

Yelp
I liked their garlic fries... that's about it. I wasn't a fan of the bratwurst. I did the build you own, the toppings were good, the brat itself was not. It kinda had a foul taste, like it was too old. I also got the deep fried mozzarella, that was just ok too. Other than fries... not sure if I'll try them again. Maybe for a corn dog...

Yelp
I'm so annoyed. This place literally just pulled a fast one. I don't lie Umai hot dogs. Today I saw that there's a new hot dog joint and didn't think of anything. I ordered and when I opened the box I saw the BRIGHT GREEN relish. So I swept it off so annoyed and that's when I realize this is the same spot Umai was at before. I just got home and saw my transactions, what do you know, charge was for UMAI. They changed the name & menu to get new customers since they weren't doing well.

Yelp
Was excited to try this place out and was definitely disappointed, ordered a burger meal on there kiosk, the whole process from ordering to getting my food was 30 minutes too long, 2 ladies just standing there and my burger cooking on the grill forever, which was odd because when i bit into the burger it was all pink and cold in the middle ‍ got truffle fries and they were okay nothing to brag about, my total was almost $20 so theres that, cant recommend them at all, also cant speak on their dogs as Ive never tried them, good luck to you if you order here and hopefully you don't have a devastating experience like me.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for a while. I decided to "build my own" with a pretzel roll, chicken sausage and other condiments. Overall liked the taste, 3.5/5 stars. My kiddo wanted the mozzarella sticks, so we got 2 of them. He took a bite and decided he didn't like them. I tried a bite and didn't like it either. They were quite greasy and a tad undercooked maybe, 1/5 stars. Wait times are long ~15 minutes to 20 minutes.

Yelp
I got the Chicago dog and I would like to say Chicago got some competition for real. It's a solid dog with tons of pickled topping and fresh ingredients which I really like. And the mustard goes so well with everything. Also their fries are immaculate. It's hand cut and I can tell! Crispy, potatoey, and fresh. Doesn't have that artificial crust on the outside. Service is great if you talk to them but if you dont you can use the kiosk machines. They have pictures on there so it's easier to pick items. Ambiance is the mall so plenty seats and clean. Oakridge gives me outdated vibes. Overall solid place to eat at if your looking for a flavor bomb.

Yelp
Delicious Hot Dogs of all varieties. I really enjoyed it. Lat time I got the Saintt Louis hot dog I think... It was very good...
google avatar

Cynthia D.

Yelp
My son said the cheese burger and fries were so good! As for me, it was the best hotdog I've ever had. I saw someone's review complaining about green relish.. not sure what other color relish is suppose to be. The service was great. We highly recommend this place.

T. N.

Yelp
Just stopped by here for lunch with the fam. My wife had the Chicago and I tried the Texas. The kids wanted typical hamburgers and fries. The food and service is great. The little pieces of bacon are a nice touch for the Texas hotdog.. I highly recommend it. The man behind the counter was very attentive and friendly. Will swing by again next week time for lunch.

Yelp
First of all I hate those kiosk machine only stores. This is one of them. So now there is just one employee to do everything else. They prep, cook, assemble, package, and serve. So if there is a group of people. That will tie up the one and only employee. The other customers will have to wait. Oh, make sure you get everything you need when you pick up your food. Because once that employee leaves you, they tend to the next customer and now you are no longer important because your order is done. This restaurant is in a food court so keeping the dining area is not their responsibility. The only service animal law is not enforced. We ordered. 1. Twisted Shake Chocolate & Banana $ 6.49 tasted good but the cup is too small for they price. 2. Soul of Memphis Dog was ok but too small for the price of $8.99 3. Wurst Dog on pretzel bun, bun was dry, wurst was warm and sauerkraut good. $9.99 came with fries. Fries are ok but no salt. Well, I can say I gave them a try. the food is edible but not a goto restaurant.

Nick C.

Yelp
I was initially disappointed when Umai went away, but I'm happy that F&F has picked up the ball. Today I had a Texas Forever dog (#4), with chili, bacon bits, fresh-sliced jalapeño, brown mustard, and cheddar. The chili was very good and not at all soupy like some chili dogs. The brown mustard added a lot to the overall flavor. The grated cheddar seemed like it came out of a bag, though. For a gourmet dog, fresh-grated cheddar would kick it up one more notch. It feels crazy to pay $10 for a hot dog, but everything is crazy expensive now. I'll be back to try their other dogs.

Yelp
I was at Oakridge and was craving something fries. Saw this new place and gave the brisket fires a try. Omg, they were so good. The bbq is like home-made and went very well with the mozzarella. Will be back again to try other loaded fries. I ordered from the kiosk and didn't really speak to anyone but the system is convenient.

Lisa G.

Yelp
Oakridge Frankfurters was the worst ever. A "corndog" was NOT corny at all. In fact the batter was thin and tasteless and the dog was super greasy. I contacted the company 2 different ways, two different times and have had NO response at all. So along with crappy, greasy, tasteless overpriced food, the customer service sucks too. The crap dog cost $7.65. Don';t bother is my advise. They will be gone soon I am sure.

Jim S.

Yelp
I have been bombarded with ads for this place and finally decided to try it. Glad I did, as the food was quite good. We had a Chicago dog and a truffle dog, along with fries and sodas. Just over 30 dollars for a decent meal, tasty and totally not healthy. We will go again.
google avatar

Yelp
Really surprised that a hot dog chain was this good. Their self checkout kiosk gives you nice pictures of the food. Freshly made and a great price for the amount of food. 15 for a fully loaded dog with fries and a drink. 1st time and got the Memphis Dog . Will be back soon to try another one.

Jessica L.

Yelp
Staff very rude and inattentive. Just tossed the food and walks away. Couldn't even ask for napkins or the straws for drinks b/c they dump your food on the counter and walk away.

Yelp
Have the most random and amazing hot dog experience at the mall! Probably one of the best hand dogs I've had ever! I made a custom hot dog, and I had an Asian inspired bulgogi hot dog and it was fire! Made them both combos too You could choose your own fries! Garlic fries taste like how festiva fries should taste like and a chili cheese fry! The corn dogs taste like it's a homemade appetizer! Highly recommend both the corn dog and a cheese stick! Honey bee aesthetic

Estela E.

Yelp
Looked great and the service was great and everything was good until I tried my hotdog. I got the cheese fries and new Yorker hotdog and the cheese fries were amazing but the hotdog was less then good, it was way too salty and wayyy more filling than I thought. At the end I couldn't even finish the whole thing. All was great except the hot dog. Also shout-out to Mary for being a great employee, she helped us and was great!

Cristian P.

Yelp
Went to Frank and furters for the first time and the customer service I received from itsuki was amazing. First time and not the last time I would be eating here. The food is amazing

Yelp
Overall pretty good for a mall fast food type place. The previous chain was better....

Brenda B.

Yelp
I got a Chicago dog, fries and a banana shake. 17 dollars. The quality of the hot dog itself wasn't great. Salty, tasted like an cheap pork hot dog. The relish topping wasn't great. The bun wasn't a traditional hot dog bun. I expected better, I guess. The fries were good. The shake was just soft ice cream in a cup. Not drinkable through a straw. Needed a spoon. Disappointed.

Tim J.

Yelp
The service was friendly but immediately as I got home I got food poisoning. Food didn't smell bad or look bad to be honest but I'm not sure what type of meat they are using but I got sick :/
