"Let's Be Frank 'Purveyors of artisan sausage' is an excellent description of this gourmet dog and beer spot in Austin 's Warehouse District (4th and Colorado ). The loft ceilings, large vintage murals, friendly neighborhood bar and funky table seating all create a cool, hipster spot to chow down. They're now serving coffee and breakfast and it's a great place to hit on a Friday or Saturday night, when they often have live music to kick off the weekend. Don't forget the waffle fries and the root beer float, to make your trip to Franks complete."
Hot Dog Joint Frank Reopens After Unpaid Taxes Shutdown - Eater Austin
"Frank is now reopened after the downtown hot dog restaurant and bar was shut down earlier this month on 407 Colorado Street. Because of unpaid taxes, the restaurant was seized by the Texas Comptroller’s Office on Thursday, February 1. It reopened its doors on Friday, February 16." - Nadia Chaudhury
This place was exactly what I needed to satisfy my craving and love for German sausage and Canadian poutine. The bratwurst platter was amazing. The waffle fries were tasty too. They also have a good selection of beer. Looking forward to returning here.

The food here is delicious. Parking can be a sore spot but this is downtown Austin so anything will be. The restaurant is spacious and has a nice vibe to it. Their coffee isn't the greatest. It was pretty expensive and didn't taste that great so a definite downside. Their main feature are their dogs though and they definitely stand out. Top notch taste and variety and you get a good amount of food for what you pay for.

This is a sit down place with a hostess and full bar. Some nights have comedy apparently. The food was tasty. The sausage dog was good along with the mac and cheese and reuben fries. I'd recommend it for a night of that sort of indulgence.

Awesome food! Our server was super nice and fun, the food was delicious and well priced for downtown Austin, and the restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. We had Chicago dogs, Dr. Doppelganger soda, and chocolate covered bacon, it was all absolutely delicious!

Cheese chilled waffle fries were good but not phenomenal the same for the chilli cheese dog, which was kinda small. Beer and cocktails menu is great! And the serve that attended us was really friendly. I'm rating as 3 due to the price and size of the food.

I had a hot dog. It was lovely.
Nikki had one. It was - it was phenomena-l
Steve had one. It was - as notorious as it’s name, to be frank.
Well worth a visit.
Or not.
See if we care.
Also. The poo bacon 🥓 is well tasty I reckon

So I had lunch up the Road at Sholz Biergarten & came here (randomly) for a late evening bite. After glancing at the menu I realized that they shared several menu items as Sholz. Sholz was amazing that afternoon & Frank turned out to be just as nice in the evening!!
Great selection of sausages and amazing Hot Dogs. I forgot to get the brand they used but was pleasantly surprised to bite into a nicely grilled, all beef hot dog.
The cocktails were amazing as well. The Cherry Limeade was especially refreshing after a whole weekend of walking.
Service was incredibly friendly while the decor was also warm, inviting & tastefully done.

Solid spot. Pretty good dogs. The Chicago is definitely the best bang for your buck. Real good drink selection. Bartenders are a little too hipster for me. One of the best pretzels in town. Probably the only place in town that has Poutine and it's pretty good too! Ruben fries are crazy good. Always have fun specials.
