"Iconic New Haven pizza destination Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana has continued its beyond-Connecticut expansion with a new location in Warwick (21 Universal Blvd.). It serves the usual assortment of pizzas, salads, and Foxon Park sodas, along with a small selection of beer and wine." - Dana Hatic

Google
Amazing pizza and service. There js a menu option to try multiple pizzas. Perfect for hungry teenagers who wanted everything on the menu. The server was very attentive, and always checked on us. We brought home a piece of cannoli pie, and it was delicious.

Had a great experience visiting Frank Pepe Napoletana at this location. Becky was a fabulous server, very friendly and helpful in explaining everything. The pizza definitely held up to its reputation. Would definitely recommend.

They are so kind at Frank Pepe’s in Warwick! Some veteran staff were training new hires and were being extremely patient with them and attentive to the customers. Pizza was delicious. We went with 3 generations of family and tried onion pizza, basil & garlic pizza, & pepperoni pizza. We went on a Friday afternoon & had salad & pizzas. We will definitely return.

Came in to celebrate a birthday, father's day, and anniversary. Had 11 people, and they set up a table with no problem. We ordered 5 different pizzas and 2 different salads. The waitress was on top of everything we needed. The pizza is a thin crust pizza. The pizzas were overdone for my liking, but honestly, I do like crispy crust. Bottom of pizzas burnt n left black residue on your hands and grease. But no complaints from anyone, not even all the kids. So for that it was a great time. Nice Atmosphere.

Google
I've never been to the original Frank Pepe's in New Haven, but the pizza was spectacular! We ordered an "authentic" original cheese pizza, and it was huge. Prices were surprisingly reasonable. In line with what you'd pay at your local pizza place. I watched my pizza being made, and the attention to detail was most impressive! It's worth the trip to cross this pizza off your culinary "bucket list."

Google
18" mozzarella pie , $25, $32+ after-tax and tip. Big interior, no wait, great service. While the pie was a bit wet coming out of the oven , it got less sloppy as it cooled off. Good crust and leopard spots.

Google
If you're a pizza enthusiast, Frank Pepe's Neapolitan Pizza is an absolute must-try. The moment you take a bite, you're greeted with a perfect balance of crispy, charred crust and a delightfully tangy tomato sauce. The fresh, high-quality mozzarella melts beautifully, offering a rich, creamy contrast to the vibrant, flavorful sauce. Every pizza is crafted with a dedication to traditional techniques and ingredients, making each slice an unforgettable experience. The consistency and quality are unparalleled, and it’s clear why this place has such a loyal following. Five stars for an extraordinary pizza experience that stands out as one of the best!

Google
First time eating Frank Pepe , it was great thin crunchy , pizza , store employee was nice , ambiance was great . I think little expensive to charge $30 for Margarita pizza . 🍕

Yelp
Great Pizzia expensive but worth it . Went no original in new haven I was hoping they would expand

Yelp
We were absolutely impressed with this place! My boyfriend and I found this place on google, and the website itself was put together so well. Loved the feature of "build your own pizza" being a photo of the plain dough, and being able to customize it as you want! Love the points system, and they gave us $10 for signing up and being first-time customers. We ordered the Margherita Pizza (delicious!!) and the Pepperoni and Hot Cherry Peppers Pizza (spicy!!). They send a nice text and email to confirm your order and remind you of the ready time. We ordered takeout, and when we entered, it smelled so good, and you could tell it was an authentic Italian pizza place. They use the coal fired oven and this seems like a great place to sit down and enjoy a pizza with friends. Staff was friendly and attentive. 10/10 We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Pepe's in Warwick is by far the best pizza in Rhode Island. It is not only the pizza, but the people who make going to Pepe's so enjoyable. The entire atmosphere is relaxed and family oriented. The service is second to none. These people are the best.

Tom S.

Yelp
I love New Haven pizza! Peppe's is one of the co-inventors (Sally's being the other). Their signature clam pizza is the best. This is a white pizza with lots of clams, thin crust, slightly charred, bubbly and delicious. Service is good and it's fun watching the kitchen make the pies in their massive oven with long wooden paddles.

Kim S.

Yelp
I was born and raised in CT so I was thrilled when Pepe's opened in Warwick. If you love a thin crust pizza, well done...give it a try! My go to favorite pizza here is the bacon pizza. It's also a must to get the birch beer with it! Family friendly atmosphere and you can easily order online for takeout.

Domenic D.

Yelp
Pizza was a little bit thicker than usual toppings were good. Pepe's salad wasn't as fresh as usual so I would order the Caesar. Not as good as when I'm first open as good as the original in New Haven, which I just went to two weeks ago.

Rj W.

Yelp
The food and the service were great. The restaurant looks spectacular. High ceilings and beautiful furnishings. Great artwork on the walls.

Thomas B.

Yelp
Braved Bald Hill Rd in Warwick today to finally try Frank Pepe's. Got two smalls; the Meatball & Ricotta and the Della Carne. Both were very good, although the bacon was barely cooked on the Carne. So points off for that. Plus, small pizzas don't hold up well to that many toppings. If you going to get something with alot of toppings go for a Medium or Large. I'll give them another shot down the road but I wont include Bacon the next time around. Our waitress Imani was wonderful and attentive. Interior is pretty sparse and basic, but you're not there for the ambiance.

Yelp
Sunday 5pm non holiday weekend. Had lunch a month ago and had such a great experience I came back with the wife tonight. Waiter came over and took our order, which was a Margharita pizza. He immediately tells me that a restaurant that makes pizza had run out of fresh mozzarella and could not accommodate my request. I am 61 years old born and bread in New York and have eaten pizza all my life. I have never been told a pizza place ran out of fresh cheese. So, after driving 30 minutes to get a pizza I can't order what I wanted. So, I said if he can put whatever form of mozzarella he has and just make it exactly like the margarita. The order went in a few minutes after 5pm. around 5:45 the medium pizza was brought out to our table. To say the pizza was far below standards was an understatement. Crust- too thick Sauce- DRY and had no flavor at all. barely could taste it or see it. Flop- Much too much. Do you have any adults over 21 managing this place? It has your name on the building you should put out a quality product every day. Oh- start with having product. Really disappointed folks, guess i might try again during a lunch hour where there are only 2 people other than my group eating. I do not do crappy reviews often, only when I am really annoyed. By the way-over $30,00 for the 16 inch pizza and 2 drinks.

Kim S.

Yelp
This has been a "want-to-go-back-to place since we tried the original one in New Haven. The pies are coal fired so they are a bit darker but so much tastier than traditional pies. We ordered the mushroom sausage pie. It was delicious. We ended up with extra but we wanted to get plenty Jeff did a great job serving us that day at lunch. The place was not busy at all the day we stopped.

Ralph B.

Yelp
I'm not sure why the reviews of these new Frank Pepe locations are all over the map. Maybe it's because I've never been to the original, but I think this pizza is fantastic! A great Connecticut style pie made in a huge coal-fired oven. What's not to like??? We got 3 pizzas and all were perfect. But Margherita reigns supreme. Clam, a close second.

Nicholas P.

Yelp
I've been craving good pizza and boy am I am happy to be here. Ever pizza we got just keep getting better in their own way my son and my self got the 5 pizza sampler and I am glade we did can't complain with good leftovers service we super nice and friendly . Can't wait to come back

Jonathan C.

Yelp
I've been to this particular location a couple of times. The service is always excellent. We had kids with us and the waitress asked us how charred we won our pizza. I thought this was excellent because we knew the kids wouldn't like the char. We ordered a couple of side salads before the meal. I had mine with chicken. It was a really excellent salad. They also have a nice selection of beer. They also have Birch beer if that interests you. We decided just to split a cheese pizza because the kids don't like toppings. This was our mistake. Cheese pizza lacked flavor and I found myself adding garlic salt to make it taste better. It does have excellent crust. I feel like the Frank Pepe's at Mohegan Sun is a better pizza. Then again, maybe I was just drunk at the casino. But lesson learned: I will definitely get toppings next time.

Yelp
First visit for both my school aged child and myself for lunch. Our waitress Brittany was awesome. Explained the menu options and answered my questions about the rewards program. I signed up and we enjoyed an excellent lunch. 2 pizza, sausage and chicken were excellent. Both the Caesar and Pepe salads where delicious. Boxed up some pizza so we could have some tiramisu which was excellent. The service by everyone from the greeter, server and food runners was excellent. We can't wait to return.

Scuba S.

Yelp
Great crust, great variety and the product is always fresh! We are at Frank's frequently. The restaurant is quiet, at least when we were there but it's very nice and clean inside.

Ray M.

Yelp
I absolutely love the pizza here! I had only been to the original location in Connecticut and haven't been there in at least three or four years. I was curious if the Warwick location could replicate the quality of the original location and I wasn't disappointed. I got my order to go And ordered The Special along with a 12 ounce bottle of root beer to wash it all down. It smelled so good in there that it worked my appetite up into a frenzy, and when I went out to my car with my pizza and root beer, it looked so good and made the car smell wonderful, so I attacked half of it in the parking lot in my car! the other half is coming home with me for dinner tonight and I am absolutely a happy camper.

Mike R.

Yelp
Best Pizza hands down anywhere in the world. I don't care if it's not the original Pepe's it's still the best pizza around. Nothing compares to it anywhere near or far.

Nate B.

Yelp
New Haven style pizza in Rhode Island from a big-hitter in the New Haven pizza scene. Their crust is fantastic and is the real star of the show. The kitchen is fun to watch with their long pizza paddle. It is inside a strip mall, so nothing crazy for decor or ambiance, but nice overall. Friendly and helpful service and reasonable prices. The pizza is quite good, but I will say the mozzarella and tomatoes are pretty standard, nothing special going on with those. The crust is great though. Recommended if you are in the area and want to try New Haven style pizza.

Andrew P.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time. I got the plain tomato size small and also a medium clam with bacon added to it. Both were spectacular in flavor!! Especially the clam pie! I will definitely order it again. Everybody who tried them enjoyed the pizza. Inside the building to pick it up is nice they have an open kitchen you can peer into and see the chefs working. The best part is the smell that permeates the air. I would definitely recommend you try it.

Michael E.

Yelp
I've been to the original Pepe's many times and obviously it's the best but Warwick does a great job of keeping it simple and authentic to New Haven style apizza. My family from Brazil loved the pizza and the service and decor!

Reinert A.

Yelp
Great location and friendly staff but painfully slow service. Over 90 minute wait for a salad and small pie.

Tim C.

Yelp
Good pizza with nice crust. The waitress is exceptional: warm, inviting & attentive. The restaurant is clean & open. The pizza is good.

Jen W.

Yelp
After checking out the original Frank Pepe's in CT, we decided to give this location another try. Maybe it's because the oven's have had time to 'age', or maybe the staff have learned to work better as a team, but whatever the reason, we definitely plan to return to this Frank Pepe's location when we are craving some thin crust pizza. On this visit, we waited to be seated just a minute. The first table the host took us to was not cleaned, so he diverted us to another and honestly, it was in a little corner that felt cozy, and I'm glad we diverted. Our waitress was very nice, personable and capable. We each ordered a different type of pizza. The one my SO wanted when we were at the New Haven, CT location was not available here, so he went with the cherry pepper and pepperoni pizza. He enjoyed it both hot, and cold as left overs. I went for the veggie special. There is a nice amount of cheese and toppings on this pizza. The crust was cooked well; firm, crispy, not over done. A nice balance of flavor and texture. They share a parking lot with two other restaurants and parking can be hard to find during the lunch or dinner rush. Restrooms are past the kitchen, opposite side of the building from the dining room. I like that you can look into the kitchen from the hallway where you wait to be seated. Entertainment while you wait for your table. To see their menu on-line, you have to go into their 'order take out' section after picking a location. I didn't realize they were located in CT, FL, NY, MD, RI, VA and MA. Their menu contains pizzas, salad, soda, dessert. In house they offer beer and wine.

Yelp
We have been to Frank Pepe's in Warwick a few times now. Twice for take out and twice to eat in and all four times have been perfect!! The staff is above and beyond friendly!! The wait staff is exceptional but the pizza cooks are just as great. With the exposed kitchen where you can watch them make the pizza they could be all business, but they are very friendly and answer any questions we have! The dining room is spacious with booths & tables. We have not been in during a super busy time but I would imagine I could get loud in there. The $15 lunch special with a pizza, salad and drink is perfect and the rewards program gets you free things right away! Can not recommend this place enough!!! Thank you Mike and the rest of the crew!!

Rob P.

Yelp
I've had Frank Pepe's in New Haven, the best, Mohegan Sun, second place & here in Warwick 3rd. That being said it still was very good. The biggest knock is the ambiance, sort of a wide open Applebees due to its strip mall location & square layout. The service was friendly , the pizza had a nice crisp, both myself & my lady left happy. Good pizza dinner stop if you're in the area.

Sev B.

Yelp
Just an absolutely phenomenal pizza pie every single time. Underrated dessert item is the cannoli pie. Get it and thank me later. Positive vibes. Friendly service. Plenty of tables. Good eats. What more could you ask for?

Kristen L.

Yelp
On our way into town, we stopped at the Warwick location as our late night dinner. We're so glad we did! Super friendly staff with great conversation, family friendly atmosphere and amazing pizza and salad. Our whole family was blown away! Definitely a must next time we're back in town.

Robert I.

Yelp
The pizza dough/crust was very hard and extremely chewy. The veggies we ordered, for toppings, were all dried out. There was hardly no tomato sauce on the pizza. We asked for more sauce, and as we were getting ready to leave. The waiter brought a small cup of cold tomato sauce. The waiter was no very attentive, at all. It was our first and Last visit to this restaurant. I do not, personally, recommend it. Maybe it was just a bad day for them, I hope.

Chris J.

Yelp
Nothing like the real New Haven! Burn crust .. floppy undercarriage .. not crisp .. way too much sauce. Minimal cheese. Wilted lettuce with lots of croutons. Domino's beats out c/t this particular location.

Vijay S.

Yelp
The pizza's good but 35$ (including taxes) for a medium size veggie pizza is a bit much. The crust was also bit burnt and the pizza wasn't warm. Aok experience.

Lisa N.

Yelp
I popped in on a whim and I really enjoyed my lunch special. It was delicious. Just the right amount of dressing on the salad, and the pizza was scrumptious and a good size. Brittany A. was an excellent server- gave me very helpful tips and then explained some of the history. Frank Pepe invented the pizza box! How cool is that? I'd definitely come back. My high school students would love the music. It's a good vibe. Cheerful and affordable.

Robert A.

Yelp
It's great pizza!!! Ordered the sampler for 6 people and got to try a little of everything. Staff was great, place was clean and food was good.

Louis G.

Yelp
This is our 5th Frank Pepe's Napolitana Pizzeria we have been to, this one in Warwick RI. Another great dining experience and they never disappoint!

Johnny M.

Yelp
We have had the pizza at New Haven which is my favorite however, this location didn't miss a beat. Great service, pizza crust crunchy and charred. Overall excellent experience & great pizza.

Cory M.

Yelp
Could definitely be considered the second most overrated pizza in Rhode Island behind Caserta's in Providence. Some will say that the most important ingredient in a good pizza is the crust, while others will say the cheese. Well, they're both wrong, it's the sauce. And here is where Frank Pepe's fails miserably. There is nothing worse on a piece of dough than a flavorless, crushed tomato sauce. If you're going to use authentic San Marzano tomatoes, then I'd do back flips to get to your shop. But using generic #10 cans of cheap crushed tomatoes with added Salt & Pepper, and maybe a pinch of Oregano, just doesn't cut it.For some reason that escapes me, a certain demographic of the pizza eating world likes overcooked pizza crust. So I guess for those people, this place is nirvana or valhalla. But let me tell you, the pizza is not ambrosia. I've never been to the New Haven location, but I have seen pictures of the shop. Everything that is amiable about the atmosphere is completely missing in the design and layout of this location. It's look and feel could best be described as a cold, sterile facsimile of an Applebee's. Granted, it's not nestled in the heart of a bustling city, but whoever designed this building is better suited to designing franchised corporate dining establishments. The one good thing I did find was the staff. My waitress was pleasant and attentive and the pizza came out in a reasonable amount of time. Would I give it another chance? Odds are ...no. It's too expensive for a pizza of this fair to middling quality. Just a few miles away is Napolitano's Brooklyn Pizza, which makes a far superior pie. And if you don't mind driving down to South Kingstown, try Pasquale's Pizzeria Napoletana. In Providence, check out Fellini Pizzeria on Wickendon street. All three of these establishments make a much tastier pizza pie.

J T.

Yelp
Awesome pizza. Our server was very friendly and checked on us frequently. We got the clam pizza and a red tomato pizza (half mozzarella and half just the tomato sauce). This is very fresh and tasty pizza. There was a line outside the door when we went, but they let us all in very quickly after we waited maybe 10-15 minutes. You can see the kitchen where they make the pizza, and it is very impressive, particularly the coal-powered oven they use to make the pizza in their MASSIVE pizza oven. The red tomato pizza is super good. The clam pizza was good, but I'm not the biggest fan of clam so it was just okay for me, but I thought I'd get it since it is one of the pizzas they're known for. Overall, I would highly recommend trying this place! The process they use to make their pizza is super cool, and the pizza itself tastes great! It reminds me of a New York style pizza since it is thin slices. A large pizza can satisfy a group of 3 people I'd say.

Peter L.

Yelp
really good. crust slightly thicker than in New Haven but still the best pizza in RI

Julie M.

Yelp
Great pizza, salad, and good service! Love the Pepe's salad, the dressing is great and I like the shredded cabbage. Be sure to join their rewards club, you get $10 off your first order!

Anthony A.

Yelp
If you haven't been here yet then you are truly missing out. Food, Service and Ambiance.....All around THE BEST!

Lisa W.

Yelp
Another perfectly cooked/charred pizza from Frank Pepe's tonight. It was simple, just cheese and pepperoni, but the crisp of the crust made it soooo good! We thought that maybe there was less pepperoni than last time, but it was still a good amount. You can't beat Frank Pepe's!

Colin K.

Yelp
Pizza was very good, lived up to the hype of someone who recommended it. The only issue was the delivery, Uber eats, so it wasn't hot. Not the restaurants fault, pizza was still great.

Caren J.

Yelp
This place is so fun! The pizzas are small so you can order a few to try their specialties! Definitely worth the trip!

Carol D.

Yelp
The service is beyond great & attentive. The salad is an excellent mixture of lettuce, cukes, tomatoes & olives. Dressing is very tasty. Our pizza was mouth drooling when we got our first smell. Taste.... Best pizza we have ever had. We had the summer special & and onions & mozz on the other. This location is above a 5 rating.

Steve O.

Yelp
I love the generational restaurants in New England that have been passed down in the same family with a classic recipe. They just don't exist in Florida. Frank Pepe is a great example. Thin crust pizza with a family sauce cooked in a wood fire oven. Exceptional! Throw in the the cannoli pie and I might have to consider moving. Brittany did a great job as our server and the price is right. I only wish I could bring my family here every week.

Joe L.

Yelp
Pizza, salad, and beverages. Everything is done well, and the service is great. The restaurant is clean and the staff always tries to make sure you get what you need

Merideth M.

Yelp
Was in Warwick and curious about this place and I found it to be pretty good! This place offers THIN-CRUST PIZZA. I say this in caps because as someone who's grown up in Rhode Island I know that the thick-crust bakery pizza or the "thin-crust" pizza that really tends to be on the thicker side is more popular here. That being said, you may not care for this pizza crust. It's thin and also baked in this ginormous oven (brick oven possibly? I just quickly ran in to pick up my to-go order) that requires these huge pizza peels to grab the pizzas. That being said, the crust does have some bits of charred parts that I think can add to the flavor, but I know that's not everyone's thing. The tomato sauce used was on the sweeter side, and I thought it was pretty good. I ordered the Original Tomato Pie with Mozzarella (aka a cheese pizza) and the White Clam Pizza. The white clam was pretty good but my favorite was the original with mozzarella because I really enjoyed the flavor of the tomato sauce. They are definitely a more expensive pizza but they're still worth trying if you are interested in trying some new pizza and are in the area. It's not a fancy place, but it's clean. I personally will be coming back when I'm in the area.

Adam W.

Yelp
Meatball and tomato pizza was top 2-3 pizza of my life. Service was direct but what you would expect from a busy place in New England. Ordered takeout so can't speak to ambiance but we're talking WORLD CLASS pizza. Go get it

Alfred A.

Yelp
Disappointing. Went here for the first time this week. There were quite a few things that could use looking into. Room comfort was good, booths were large enough for normal sized adults. However we're in December and they had 3 ceiling fans on making it feel drafty. The lighting was way too bright. No music playing? Thats kind of odd. The service was good. Our server was Alyssa and she was pleasant and attentive. They were short staffed. One wait person, 3 cooks, a hostess, a manager I assume. The wait time was a little lengthy due to the fact there was only one waitress. Totally not her fault. Ok now for the food. The Caesar salad was decent and large enough for two people to split but the lettuce in the salad wasn't that crunchy. We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni, onions and peppers. The sauce was lacking. Not enough flavor and not enough of it. I'm thinking it could have used more salt, basil and oregano. It was cooked well However. Decor was ok. A little plain inside. Restrooms were clean as was the restaurant. Not what I'm used to for pizza places. They need to step it up a little.

Jeffrey G.

Yelp
worst pizza I have ever had! this location is horrible nothing like the real Pepe! don't go! they don't even put red sauce on a cheese pizza ! disgusting! managers rude didn't refund me but threatened police if I kept calling for the refund
