An absolute gem of a place that deserves every praise it can get.
I had seen the rave reviews of this place, and a friend of ours insisted we have to check this place out. It's difficult to get in, so definitely make a reservation before coming. A more upscale place, but still reasonably priced for the quality and portions you get. Almost everything here is vegan and there is a lot of choice.
Our party of four started by sharing a couple rounds of cauliflower wings ($8 plus tax); one maple garlic and one Thai lemongrass. Both were awesome -- I slightly preferred the latter, as it wasn't as sweet. The cauliflower wasn't too battered like so many cauli wing dishes, but was cooked to perfection and spiced decadently. 5/5
My wife and I shared a small broccoli caesar salad ($10 plus tax). This came with lots of fresh romaine, chickpeas, and sublime adzuki tempeh that was somewhat smoky, quite umami and softly textured (some of the best tempeh I've had). We were really happy with this caesar salad. 5/5
For my main, I ordered the grilled artichoke tubettone ($18.75 plus tax), which comes with a massive portion of perfectly cooked pasta. The garnishes were sublime -- the grilled artichokes were probably the best artichokes I've had in a meal, the pesto was creamy, the zucchini added a nice crunchier texture, the vegan feta added more creaminess, and the antipasto added a tangier, subtley tomato-y character. Absolutely brilliant, creative, and filling pasta dish. As someone who doesn't usually order pasta dishes in restaurants, this was damn impressive. 5/5
My wife was extremely happy with her chorizo ranchero bowl ($19 plus tax), and from my tastes, I occur. This dish came with an assortment of different items, the highlights for me being the potatoes (especially the decadent creamy sauce it came with), the salty vegan chorizo, and the grilled corn, but everything was really nicely curated. I would've been really happy with this dish. 5/5
As if we weren't full enough by this point, we ordered a cheesecake ($10 plus tax) to split for the table. The "cheese" was constructed with smores, marshmallows, and cashews, and the crust was an almond one. You get little bits of strawberry as a garnish, and chocolate-covered corn flakes. I don't have a huge sweet tooth, but this was tasty in small amounts. 4.5/5
The service was absolutely top-notch: attentive, informative, and friendly. Can't recommend this place enough. If you're in Kelowna, you must absolutely go out of your way to eat here.
