attended my first drag show during their anime/cosplay night and had such a fun time!! love the people and the atmosphere 🩷

Not safe. All the bartenders were very lovely. I'm sorry I didn't get their names. I was there for the Chappell Roan single release party with my wife. We were there all night buying drinks and spending money. We were watching the drag show and "parted the sea" as directed for the performers. Some guy and his girl (at a gay bar) tried to intimidate us to move. They said they paid for their seats at the bar. I told them to get staff to talk to us. We were just standing like everyone else. The guy decided to get in my face to try and intimidate us. Fortunately, some other patrons interfered and kept it from escalating. I was directed by bar staff to tell the owner. She spent more time telling us that he's a Nice Guy, actually. She said she'd talk to him, but otherwise did nothing to address how we were treated in what's supposed to be a safe space. I don't care if a straight couple are at a gay bar celebrating the single release of a gay artist. But they should not be tolerated to intimidate a gay couple also trying to enjoy the show whatever their familiarity with the owner. At that point it stops being a safe space. Do not recommend. I do not feel safe returning to this bar for my nights out. Edit to add: Also I smell like smoke after which is something I could get over normally, but as a nonsmoker it's a pretty frustrating to experience on top of everything else. And whether you encounter a jerk or not you'll leave smelling like smoke which you may or may not be into.

honestly I saw some reviews on here about the smoke and thought to stay away cause of my asthma but being trans I don’t really feel comfy going out and sometimes I’d rather not but I came to the Star Trek show awhile ago and then the Chappell Roan dance night and each time I’ve had a really great experience. yeah the smoking isn’t my favorite thing but the owners being there make the space feel safe. Lesbian bars are like rare and awesome if you’re into that dive bar scene. Going to the anime show coming up next

Came in after seeing it while driving by. It happened to be a comedy drag night. The staff was friendly, the owner welcomed us personally, the audience was a mix of men and women, the acts were funny and well done. I wish it weren’t Smokey, but otherwise it was a lovely place full of lovely people. We played a game with the host and won handmade bouquets of candy. What an amazing spot. I’ll be back!

I have about 4 bars in town I feel comfortable going to solo. Frankie’s is always my number 1 choice. Friendly staff, the patrons are kind and if you get to catch a show be prepared to have some fun! The talent is worth the time to check out. It’s all inclusive. I highly recommend.

My friend and I came here for the first time for the chappell roan event and I was blown away at how nice the staff is. From the bartender to the owner to the bouncer. I had never been to a bar like this before and I felt very safe, and I will definitely come back soon

Love love love! Found this bar using a good search for a drag show in OKC. We messaged the bar on Facebook and received a fast response for our questions. The Saturday night Drag show was very entertaining and the queens were very talented. The owner was very nice and came over to say hi to our group. The bar drinks are reasonably priced and the bartenders are great. They do allow smoking inside, so can be hard for non-smokers.

It was a really fun experience. The staff was very friendly and the showcase awesome. I had a great time.

Bartender wasn't the friendliest. Also my drink had stuff floating in the bottom of it paid $9 for drink and couldn't drink it....

Found this watering hole from the 39th St Entertainment District. Prices were very cheap (3.00 per well cocktail) and bartender was very friendly but it is one of the last remaining bars to offer smoking indoors (from what I was told). Came out wreaking of smoke on our clothes, hair, etc..

Loved the place most of all entertainment the entertainers were well worth the trip from Texas I'll be back

As an avid queer traveler I'm always seeking safe spaces. Especially being trans and thankfully I stumbled across this bar not too far from the gay strip but just far enough to make you feel right at home with other folks just like you! The drinks are good, the bartender is kind of cute but my favorite part are definitely the drag shows! There's open talent nights that are fun but the bigger shows are usually on Saturday - where you're guaranteed to see something wild go down! It's definitely a fun time away from the troubles of whatever you have going on. Oh! And I have asthma so I go to the non smoking shows - check their pages if that's a concern too for ya. Overall, one of my favorite gay spots in OKC.

This is my favorite gay bar in OKC. They have amazing drag shows all the time and the bartenders are very friendly and creative. They really know their menu and make helpful suggestions. I really love the mo they specials. They like to do seasonal offerings that always have appeal to a variety of palettes. Right now they have $5 hurricanes for happy hour and fun holiday specials.

One of the stops on our trip to visit all 3 of the lesbian bars in Oklahoma! A fun dive that hosts drag and other performances on the weekends! It definitely looks like a strip mall from the outside with a big parking lot out front, but you can tell it's a bar when you can hear the music pulsing out to the street at midnight! Their social media posts encourage using Facebook Messenger to reserve a table, and I would definitely recommend - we did happen to wander in on the most packed night the regulars had seen in a while apparently (the owners were working hard to make sure that there were tables and chairs for everyone to sit at because it was so packed, and it was cool to see the owners interacting with everyone in the bar to make sure it was a good experience)! The interactions/service on Facebook Messenger was a little weird but I was glad my girlfriend and I got a table to sit at! They write your name on the table with a white pen so you know where to sit when you come in. I love alternative drag, so I really enjoyed the Locked & Loaded show! If you're coming from out of town -- my girlfriend and I were shocked at all of the smoking that was happening inside and outside of the bar! If you're sensitive to smoke, definitely be aware - I think we were the only table not making use of our ashtray. Cheap drinks and lots of fun! Super glad to be able to support a lesbian bar!

The nice Bartender asked me last weekend if I wanted to DJ. I'm not a DJ, but I am a Playlist Currator for Pandora. I would recommend playing Fletchers Station on Pandora or the Thumbsup Playlist. You can play my Avril Stacy Playlist also for a Chillout Lounge Atmosphere. A Country Music night would also be popular. Good Luck.

This is a welcoming and conveniently located bar in northwest Oklahoma City, and not far from my own home in historic Denniston Park. I'm not usually a big fan of bars in general, true. That said, this is an exception in that it's a fun, friendly place to meet friends and just hang out.

Coming from a "BIG" city, I can appreciate the talent they have here at this location. The performances are great!! When I attended this establishment, I witnessed an AMAZING tribute to Disney's "Beauty and the Beast", which is 1 of my favorites. I want to give a HUGE thank you for making me feel so welcomed as a visitor from out of town. My bartender was EXCELLENT to say the least, THANL YOU SO MUCH TO RACHAEL(I hope I spelled your name correctly).. she made sure I was good up until I left!!

I love this place and the people who go there. When you walk in you just feel like you are home and the people are amazing. Always something different going on and just a bit of everything so you want to stay a little longer and come on back. Ann, Tracey and the staff make you feel like family. Always remember what Ann says, if you don't have a home you do at Frankie's. Stop by sometime, I know you won't regret.

Friendly atmosphere where everyone can be themselves and have fun!!! Very relaxing. Great bar staff and the owners are amazing!! If your in Oklahoma City you should give it a try.
