Frankie's Sausage

Frankie's has quickly become a neighborhood staple. They did a great job remodeling the storefront. Is super clean, bright and welcoming. It would be nice to see them figure out a way to be slightly more accessible, there is a step up to get in, but with that being said the customer service is so great that I am confident they can help anyone even if that is a barrier. Plus they most likely aren't able to alter the building. Most weekends they have been having a day where they sell sandwiches outside. In a neighborhood where there are not many quick or prepared food options this is a great addition. I did overhear quite a few people being confused how the ordering/line process works, but I am confident they will work it out. There were people ordering 10 at a time which should give you confidence in your orders! Their grill master is also super personable. They have also been having some great deals, specifically around produce, on the weekends as well. The product all seems fresh and that everything is handled safely. Customer service has also been great. You can tell most of the people working are family members, but that the employees are also just as invested. Will be excited to see them grow and with all their wholesale business you probably have now tried Frankie's without even knowing. Certainly check them out and follow along with their social media to know when they are grilling, have special products or great deals.

Stopped in for the 1st time today. I had a taste for sausage and peppers and wanted to give it a try. Service was super friendly and informative. I got the regular hot sausage. Let me say, this place did not disappoint. The sausage was absolutely delicious. I had a great lunch today. Will definitely be back.

They have every thing you need from fresh Mancini’s rolls to local peppers and onions to get you set up to grill their incredible house meats. Perfect to stop in before a camping trip. I’m looking forward to trying the smoked kielbasa next time.

Really good flavors. Definitely Italian sausage, but still different from other kinds. Grills up so well! I’ve been recommending it to friends and they are all glad I did.

This is the first commercial Italian sausage that uses fennel like our homemade sausage. I will definitely buy more.

I have eaten hot sausage all around the United States.And I hate to tell you Store Purchased or homemaid this is the best hot sausage around very great tasting. Try all of them mild hot sweet. Extra hot. Best hot Sausage in the burg Locally made made with pride and love .

I just tried this place today as I’m A sausage lover. Never being there before I tried just a few of the sweet sausages and a couple of their hot Sausage. I cooked up a few of there sweet and two hot sausages tonight. I have had some sausage from most of what’s consider the best in the area. I have to say the sausage here at Frankie’s was really really good it was as good as any I have had in the area. The hot sausage was super not to hot but just right. If you want they have extra hot. This is quality sausage and well worth the price which was reasonable. Do yourself a favor try this place you won’t be disappointed. I will definitely. Be back for much more in the future. These guys an girls are friendly and they are definitely selling some of the very best sausage in the are.

Today was my first time at Frankie’s. The shop itself is clean and welcoming. They have a great variety of Italian staples and of course great quality sausage! I got sweet sausage, spicy sausage, kielbasa, and stuffed peppers- everything exceeded expectations and are bursting with flavor. This is a dinner one stop shop- you can buy a basket of peppers and onions for $2 and fresh Mancini bread to pair with your sausage. A family run operation with 100 year old sausage recipes make Frankie’s a Pittsburgh gem!!! Run don’t walk!

Without a doubt THE best locally made sausage, bar NONE! We've been making our own sausage for years around the holidays and Frankie's is every bit as good (maybe better!) than ours. Sweet has the slightest twang to it; mild just the right amount of heat; and, the hot is (as it should be) hot. Great family owned / operated business and always so friendly and glad to see you. PS: Made 5# of sweet medallions with peppers & onions for a community picnic recently and everybody LOVED it - no left overs!

I just called in my order for sausages for Christmas Eve. I discovered Frankie's when it first opened and right after the sad news that everyone's go-to for Italian sausage, Grasso's closed. The young folks who own and manage Frankie's are helpful and pleasant, just the way you want a small local business to be. I've ordered from there 3-4 times now and I can report that everyone who has eaten them from my kitchen has raved about the flavor and freshness. Disclaimer, I don't personally know the folks there and have no connection to the store other than being a happy customer.

Heard of Frankie's through word of mouth. Stopped in this past Saturday, and glad that i did! Purchased both the sweet and hot Italian sausage! My family enjoyed, and i will not purchase sausage from anywhere but Frankie's from now on!! The store was cute, clean, and more importantly ~the people working ~ the kindest!!! Highly recommend!

By far the best Italian sausage I've had!Visited Frankie's @the end of January got some hot&sweet made it for Sunday dinner with peppers onions tomato sauce and it was absolutely delicious!!! Definitely will be going back when I can!!!

Bought the jalapeño cheddar sausage and they were fantastic. Can't wait to try the other options!
