As a first-time buyer, I was looking for a mortgage professional to discuss my home buying options. Had I had known then what I know now, we would've saved myself a world of headaches by going straight to Franklin Loan Center. I tried a few banks, but never got anyone to sit down and really discuss all my options. Finally, a colleague referred me to Jason at FLC. This place was night and day compared to the banks I previously contacted. I initially had so many questions, as any home buyer would, and Jason answered every question, addressed any concern, and assured me he would be available through every step. He wasn't kidding, as every call, email, and text was met with a prompt reply. I'd gladly refer Jason to anyone looking for a mortgage professional. Thank you, FLC!

The most unethical place I have ever done business with. They kept promising me they could do better then my previous broker and kept telling me to wait that rates would come down. Well they didn't and they did not lock in my rate until 5 days before closing on a 45 day escrow. Why they didn't lock in 3 days after opening escrow like they're supposed to is beyond me. I should've listen to my gut and gone with my broker. In the end I ended up having to buy down the rate and I still got screwed with a higher rate. I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

I highly recommend Scott Shimamoto as a lender! I had the privilege of working with him on my last transaction. He is one of the hardest working guys I know. He was able to pre approve my clients and get my loan funded on time. He was very professional and has a great personality that puts you at ease, at such a stressful time for some clients. He kept me in the loop the entire way, let me know about the progress of the loan and more importantly, gave me a heads up on some issues that needed to be addressed early in the process so that they would not become big issues at the end. I've known Scott for several years and Scott's reputation in the business was a big part of my confidence in the credibility of the preapproval letter that the buyers presented to the sellers of the house. I highly recommend him because he doesn't tell you what you want to hear to try to get business, he tells you the truth so that you can make a more educated decision about your financing situation.

I've never seen someone work so hard to get the job done like Scott Shimamoto. I felt bad calling him late after I was off work, but he didn't care. He just wanted to make sure my paperwork was taken care of for the next day. He worked so fast and guided me through the whole process. Scott explained terms and procedures that I didn't understand and helped me know where I was during the entire process of getting my mortgage. He is a great guy and I enjoyed talking with him just in general. I am looking forward to working with him to get my next home/investment property. I have recommended him to my friends and family.

I have dealt with FLC more than once now. First was a refinance a few years ago and most recently was the purchase of our latest home. Both experiences were handled with professionalism. Not the usual "used car" salesman attitude you get with a lot of people in this industry. My agent even helped get a much better rate on my home insurance. Thanks guys!!!

Scott helped me with researching some rates for a home purchase. He responded very promptly and did a thorough job in carefully explaining our options. I've known Scott for over 10 years and he is as honest and professional as they come in the mortgage business.

Completely dissatisfied with our experience with Scott Shimamoto at Franklin Loan Center. My biggest complaints are regarding his unprofessional behavior, failure to adhere to the escrow schedule, and his credibility. Scott got our loan approved later than our closing escrow date. For a company with a website that boasts, "We close home loans in 30 days," they did not live up to their name. Scott caused a delay in our loan approval process and we had to extend our loan contingency period because Scott could not get to our case in time. Scott was extremely unprofessional and told us to risk eviction if worse came to worse if our loan was not approved in time. It is extremely unprofessional for a senior loan officer to advise a client to continue living in a place pending eviction. This is absurd because it would affect our credit score and have a negative effect on our finances. Clearly his communication with us was highly unprofessional, especially in trying to reassure us that we could buy some time as our landlords were writing their eviction notice. I wanted to give Franklin Loan Center a chance to alleviate the added stress to already being in escrow, so I filed a letter of complaint with the company. After filing a long letter of complaint of the unprofessionalism, inefficiency, and poor customer service, nothing was done to alleviate our dissatisfaction. I received a call from the regional manager, Marc Burns. I returned his call and left two messages, but he never returned any of my calls. I finally called a third time and spoke with Marc Burns.The only thing that Marc Burns did for us was waste our time and write an apology letter. I reached out to Julie K. Ortega, the Chief Compliance Officer and Walter Neil the CEO of the company, but still received only an apology letter from the CCO mostly stating that relationships can be good and bad and thanking me for the feedback without any response from the CEO. Throughout the loan process, Scott has been extremely unprofessional and did not adhere to the terms of our escrow schedule. It was difficult to trust his word because of the multiple times he did not follow through or delayed the finalization of our loan. In addition, no one in the company really took the time to address our concerns, but brushed them under the rug as if we were not worth their time. I am deeply dissatisfied with the under par service that I received. Franklin Loan's name is tainted by the work of Scott Shimamoto, and the poor customer service continued with the regional manager, Chief Compliance Officer, and CEO. I would never recommend this company based on our experience.

extremely knowledgeable staff with outstanding service. although had issues at the "big banks", franklin managed to close my loan and meet purchase deadlines while maintaining excellent communication throughout the process.

I just purchased my first home thanks to Franklin Loan Center. They were able to close my loan quickly and even gave me a much lower interest rate than anticipated. They walked me through the entire process and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
