Franklin Mills Riveredge Park

I’d have to say that in 2024, the best NE Ohio day-trip would be to Kent for breakfast, lunch, dinner or all of them. A long, exhaustive window-shopping or real shopping trip downtown. Then, campus tours (self-guided) museums, and the day must include a few hours at Franklin Park. I’ve added different pictures than others because there’s unbelievable history here too.

Well maintained, historical Park. Perfect place to take a walk, sit by the river, fish and or just relax.

What a beautiful fall day to go hiking with the grandkids! Truly a wonderful walk. Path was well maintained, many walking dogs, a few families.

Riveredge Park is located in downtown Kent. Easy access from the bridge. Beautiful scenic trails alongside the Cuyahoga River. Water fountains were working. But the overall place wasn’t super clean. Seems it neglected by either city administration or locals. People need to own it and stop throwing trash in the fountain area.

Beautiful river side park with historic signs! Unfortunately the waterfalls off at this time! Will back in spring! Great views and parking space!

Truly a hidden gem in downtown Kent. Just a few steps past the bridge and you are immersed in surreal get away from the hustle and bustle. Listen to the rushing water, appreciate the warm historic architecture, take a walk along the river.

This park was a great place to relax and take in the nice weather. The River seems to be gentle and a nice place to kayak or fish further down.

Nice little park in the middle of Kent. I never knew this was here. We enjoyed a 30 minute walk along the river.
