Frank's Grill

Franks has your classic diner style breakfast without the taste of old grease. We love coming here and highly recommend getting the breakfast combo. Everything is Texas sized of course. The mini waffles came with the combo and are easily my favorite. They’re an inch thick and about 3 inches wide EACH. My math says that’s a whole lot of waffle to classify as “mini” 😂

It is always an experience when you come back home. There were nearly 20 of us that ordered food. We did have to wait to accommodate the large number of us but it was an enjoyable experience. The food was brought out quickly and my omelet and grits were amazing.

Worse Breakfast in Texas. I’m not sure who’s writing the good reviews but somebody is lying. I was fooled by the reviews and decided to try this place and I regret it. They gave us our sandwich which just a slice of unmelted cheese sandwich was cold and dry and let’s not talk about the hash brown. Matter of fact I’ll show the hash browns. Would not recommend. Horrible

First time at this location! Finding parking was a bit of a mess, and the plaza could definitely use an update. It had a ‘mom-and-pop’ vibe but on a larger scale. It was a Saturday morning, fairly busy, but we were still seated quickly, even with our large group and the staff was very friendly. Zujey was our server, and she did a phenomenal job. We were a group of 11, and she handled everything efficiently. She was nice, patient, detailed, and attentive. Thank you, Zujey! I ordered the ‘Frank’s Grill Special,’ and it was okay. The food didn’t have much flavor, but I did enjoy the mini waffles and grits. I could appreciate the portion sizing, which was generous without being overwhelming. Overall, I’d rate it 7/10. Thank you, Frank’s Grill, for a good brunch experience!

This place is very straight forward, nothing fancy but still a solid breakfast spot. I got the Frank’s grill special. It comes with 1 sausage patty, 2 slices of bacon, 2 eggs, I got half grits and half hash brown, a the 2 mini waffles. The portion sizes were great. I enjoyed everything except for the grits, they weren’t as creamy as I like mine, but overall this place is good.

I'm from Oklahoma I was in the mood for a traditional breakfast and was recommended this place. Well let's get in to this from the beginning to start first table we sat at was very very loose like it was about to fall apart. The hash browns were more like mush browns from the looks of it looked more like they took mashed potatoes and grilled them. The omelette was over cooked. They gave me biscuits with no gravy even though I made sure when I ordered I asked to make sure they came with gravy. Never received the gravy. The biscuits were dry dry. The chicken fried steak is frozen. I'm use to the homemade chicken fried steaks. Very basic bland food below average. I would not recommend this place.

So, I was pretty excited about trying this place because of some of the reviews. The only thing, honestly, that was good was my pancakes. I couldn't even eat the biscuits or hash browns. The eggs were decent, and the sausage tasted like Walmart sausage that you make in the microwave. The service wasn't the best; I had to ask multiple times for something that should already be given when the drinks come (straws). Then, they were trying to charge me for three pancakes when I only got two. Luckily, I paid attention to that. They have signs everywhere about tipping, which honestly made me want to tip less than I normally do.

I ate here for breakfast. They are open early. The food was great. The service was great and fast. I had scrambled eggs, sausage and a Belgium waffle. It was all good. The waffle was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfection! The restroom was also clean!

If you like good diner food I think this is the place to go! I went for late breakfast on a Sunday around 12pm and there was no wait but still pretty crowded so it's a little on the louder side but no problem for me. The service is what you would expect at a diner in my opinion but nonetheless the food was good and it came out pretty fast. The portions being serviced here to me are huge I had an omelette that I had to take to go and my friend had the chicken tenders and waffles which by the way comes with an ENTIRE basket of tenders not just 2-3 served on top. I'd never seen that before! Will definitely be back to check out Franks again.

This place is a no frills breakfast place. It's cheap. Its packed. And the turnover is quick! Stopped by again on Sunday, after about a 10-15 minute wait, we were seated. After 5-10 minutes, our server came and took our drink order and food orders. I only saw her twice after that, to deliver the food and to deliver the check. Do not expect seasoned food. They just cook it ok? But they do have turkey bacon! And the pancakes are delicious! I don't expect any frills so I'll be back on the mornings I don't want to make my own breakfast!

It's open seating, so pick a table any table. I think people go there for breakfast, but it was 1... my brain and stomach was telling me I needed to order off lunch menu. Chicken royal but make it lettuce wrap with fries please. I should've just ordered it the way it came on the menu but I wanted to be special *smh*. The lettuce wasn't really wrapped around grilled chicken and fixins so it just slid. The mushrooms were canned mushrooms and sat on top of the melted cheese. I'm going to give them another whirl and try their breakfast-- it did smell good.

This is always my go to place for a good hearty breakfast. This time I ordered carry out. The food is always cooked exactly how I like it. Eggs are scrambled hard. Chicken wings are tasty and fried to perfection. Service is always fast even though they are quite busy. The restaurant is always clean. Definitely a place I recommend others to try.

This is one of my favorite breakfast orders and my go to anytime I don't want to cook breakfast. One order is easily split between two people. Comes with 2 large catfish filets, coated with a crispy corn meal and fried perfectly. Also two eggs made any way you like and two sides. Yum! Most of the time I get double grits, but this time I tried the hash browns. It's homestyle, more like a breakfast potato. I would have liked a little more seasoning on those potatoes.

Went here for breakfast it was a sunshine day after the gloomy. I actually passed this place up cause I thought it was at the old location. Now if you pass the family dollar that's across the street you passed it completely. Walked in and had to seat myself so I found a seat and music was enjoyable. Then comes my waitress she gives me a menu and I order my food. I got the wings and waffle with a side of eggs everything is so high now. Waited a while for my food to be done it took maybe 5-10 minutes. Ate my food waffle was tasty and eggs needed salt and pepper to my liking and could have been on the stove a little longer. Wings were crispy and fried hard the way I like it. Everything was good. Would definitely come back I remember when I was a kid I use to sit at the booths. Waffle 8/10 Wings 9/10 Eggs 7/10 Coffee 6/10

I think I'll have to scratch this off my list. The food is not as good as it used to be. Quality has gone down, down, down. The service is not that great either. There seems to be no structure as far as seating, at least on the weekends. This used to be the go to place but I'll start cooking breakfast at home. Bye Felicia

Place is really nice! Portions are a nice size as well! Hash browns and eggs had no seasoning but the steak was seasoned really well! The pancakes were a replacement for my toast/biscuits. They were so fluffy and good! Lala was my server and she did an excellent job!! They serve breakfast and lunch! Definitely will return to try something else from their lengthy menu!

You ain't coming for experience, you're coming for halfway decent quick service and a good homestyle meal. The catfish is my staple, big and fried hard. Highly recommend! The sides are the standard flair. Get in, get your belly filled, get out type of joint!

Food Cook to order, fresh. Parking Yes, they have a lot, but they are very busy. Sometimes you'll have to circle around. Inside: We arrived about 10:15. Am we sat ourselves. Waitress came over pretty quick. They have tables and booths Pricing. Fair. Some special priced items.

This used to be one my favorite spots for breakfast. Went there today and the food quality and taste has really gone down. The service is ok. I would rather you tell me that they don't have biscuits as oppose to bringing me overcooked. Asked for mini waffles. Didn't bring them until we finished all of our meal. And they were raw. I will no ok get be coming to franks grill. I can't even brag about how good they are anymore. Guess I go to Telwink cafe.

Big portions and always filling. Seat yourself policy and wait staff is friendly and part of the crew from the original location. My favorite is the grilled chicken meal and biscuits. Waffles and chicken is fire. Hashbrowns need some TLC Get there early because they stay busy. One of my go-to spots for breakfast

The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. I love being able to get hashbrowns and grits with my pork chop breakfast.

Big Beef Patty that's seasoned. Lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and mayonnaise. It came with bunch of fries and a Soda. Only $12.

Had a great experience for breakfast. Enjoyed the customer service and the host was extremely nice and attentive to our needs. The food was delicious. The waffles where made with so much love. The chicken strips are seasoned great. Served in large portions definitely shareable. Come check them out fam.

This is a place to go and get a nice breakfast for a little money. My go to dish here is pork chops and waffles. The waffle is nice and crispy and I've never had a bad waffle here. I think if this place as kinda like a diner. The service is decent, and the foot traffic is definitely present so you know something in there keeps people coming back. The two stars come from the expired Minute Maid Juice, the year was 2022! It was so rancid, not good at all. Lastly the restroom was awful; my companion went in and said the health department needs to go in there so it appears they pay very little attention to the restrooms. Come on Frank; you've gotta do better! Sorry guys no picture this time I really wanted that waffle!! Next time

The food was just okay. Nothing too spectacular here. The portion sizes were good but the food was just missing something. Maybe seasoning, maybe a secret ingredient but I didn't really feel moved by the food. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean but the food wasn't it. The pork chop was also a little tough. The Cajun fries was seemed to be made like onion rings but the seasoning wasn't there. I couldn't quite tell what I was eating but it didn't seem like fries . Mac & Cheese was tasty!

Absolutely ridiculous. First of all, who thought this was okay? Second, Bacon was stringy and undercooked. Hash browns were trash. Never would I Uber eats this again, lesson learned....oh and to top it off... phone doesn't work. It's like they left it off the hook in purpose. Typical.

No stars. This was horrible. They must have changed the chicken fried steak. It was thin and rubbery and the size of a small patty. The hash browns were like mashed potatoes. And the bread wasn't toasted

Terrible service . I was waiting for 30minutes seated for a server to approach me and take even a drink order. I had to ask a server not once but TWICE to take an order. I understand it's a Sunday but to not even come greet a table and have multiple waitresses pass by without any acknowledgement and self awareness is insane and embarrassing to the business to have such staff . On top of that I didn't receive my full order. With that being said hoping y'all can gather your staff to give better your service .

I'm never one to complain about anything however I wasn't please because I had asked for chicken fried chicken and gotten chicken fried steak instead so the left me waiting for it when my grits and eggs had gotten cold. I wasn't happy at all just know that.

I always stop by to get their bacon tacos. They're the best and they're huge. You'll be full until lunchtime. The staff is very friendly and professional.

I'm in town visiting a friend and we decide to pop in somewhere for brunch before I go back to the airport. We decide on Franks because it's close to the airport, the reviews were decent and everyone else has an insane wait time for brunch! First sign we see taped to the window is "Waitresses needed." Uh oh.. this may not be so good. After waiting about 10 minutes we were escorted to our table by one of the waitresses working. It's a large place and some of the area was closed for seating(probably not enough staff to accommodate seating in the area. Service was a tad bit slow and not as attentive as I'm used to but we braced ourselves for it. The table next to us left a mess of straws, food and napkins on the floor. It was a little distracting having to look at the mess(that the girl bussing the tables neglected to address this) but I got that they were understaffed. Our food comes out and listen all was forgiven. My friend ordered Chicken and waffles and I ordered Catfish and grits. Sorry But not sorry we couldn't grab more pictures. -Food was piping hot, seasoned to perfection and downright delicious. -My fish was super fresh and the chicken was cooked perfectly! -My friend said her waffle was so good and the biscuit I was served was so fluffy and light! However... -my grits were bland. Cook them with a touch of cream and add some salt to those suckers! -I asked for cheese eggs and I received a mound of cold shredded cheese on top of my hot eggs. Next time just fold the cheese into the eggs while scrambling before you take em off the grill. Franks is definitely a secret spot in Houston that deserves some shine. If they manage to beef up their wait staff, serve real maple syrup instead of pancake syrup and cook the cheese inside the eggs instead of slapping it on top I say should be considered one of the top brunches in the city.

The restaurant is larger than the one down the street (the original) and very clean. The pancakes were humongous. And good. I had to fold them over to keep them on the plate. The bacon was real good. I love bacon and know bacon. The eggs were scrambled perfectly. My server seemed to be mentally somewhere else. Not personable at all.

Food and service is always good. I always get the grilled pork-chop breakfast with half grit half hash browns or the fish. The ambiance is just a real joke style kitchen cafe

I'm a regular here. You can never go wrong with some old-fashioned diner food. When my best-friend is in town we always dine in. The service is very quick!

I'm giving 3 stars because of the food. This is my second time in around 4 months I have visited this location. While the food is good the Service is piss poor. The waiter all have attitudes and seems not to be able to take an order or seat you without the approval of another server. I've waited about 30 minutes before I even received a menu that I had to ask for. Then Another 10 minutes before a server acknowledged me and my kids before coming over to take my order. She said she didn't know and another server had just told her to wait on myself. Not to mention larger parties. Walked in after I arrived waited to be seated and order was taken and delivered before mines

Save your money and go down the street to Telwink. We waited 40 minutes for our food and never got it while everyone around us got theirs. The place wasn't even full for them to have an excuse!

I went to the new location and it's nice. Parking wasn't bad. The staff is friendly, but they maybe understaffed. It took a long time to order and to get the wait staff's attention because they are so busy. They only had two people serving the entire restaurant. That was a bit frustrating. As for the food, I ordered the chicken fried chicken and it was flavored just right! Delicious! The hash browns are mashed - just the way I like them. The biscuits were overcooked - but I asked for some gravy and that worked (with some tobacco sauce). I think would have preferred toast or a waffle. I only give them 3 stars because of the service. The food is good!

It says best breakfast in Texas. It was the Best breakfast I've had in a long time. My first breakfast in Houston so if it's an indicator of food here yum!! The hash browns and sausage and waffles all so good! Service super fast and friendly!

This place is an okay breakfast place. The bacon was slightly overcooked and the hash browns were a little undercooked. The pancake was HUGE and delicious. My boyfriend got the wings and waffles combo and the wings were super good. My only concern is the fact that the waitresses are not only passing out the food but also help prepare it? It was weird considering they were only wearing one glove on one hand while the other was bare. Also they charge for ice which is kind of weird

Well if you haven't been here then your missing out everything on the menu is pretty much good and reasonable there wasn't a long line because it was storming outside which didn't bother me I normally get the catfish is pretty large and eggs with cheese and somethings a waffle on the side more than enough food for breakfast if you haven't tired it you should.

Always BOMB when I come here.. yummy food and service is great.. so glad they opened up a second location.

Service was horrible asked for warm syrup waitress brought bottle of syrup with syrup running down the side of the bottle, I never received a coffee refill, waitresses were laughing and playing on their filthy phones and serving food. It stunk of bleach and purple fabuloso. Won't be back

This place is so good. Never been to FG's before just hear a ton of stuff about. Breakfast was authentic and so good. This is def the type of place to revisit on a basis w the fam a lam. Our waitress was sweet even w all the craziness.

Unsanitary and disgusting. Yesterday (5/14/19) at around 11am, I had brunch here with my friend and her son. There were not a lot of people there. We seated ourselves and when the waiter came to our table, she did not speak. She took her time coming to take our orders. After she put our orders in, she sat down on the bar stools and began eating. I noticed then that 3 other servers were standing in the kitchen service area eating between serving plates. The waiter for the table across from us was still chewing her food as she brought the people's plates to their table. Not one of them washed their hands and all of them went back to eating and talking while the plates were being prepared. After making a comment about it, our server put one plastic glove on her left hand to serve our plates. Our orders were incorrect as well. We will not be returning. That is just not acceptable.

Most Disorganized Frank's ever, been there twice and they made an announcement twice that they where short-staffed, horrible experience

Do not I repeat do not Uber eats from the staff is so stupid we wasted money not once but twice ordering chicken fried steak and clicking our choice of grave white gravy twice and two times we got no gravy we threw it away they didn't give us a refund or anything people there are slow

Horrible. The waitresses never came to ask what drinks we wanted. Several starred. We got up and left. Glad I did not give them one dollar.

People here dont care how well the food is and start to close up 45 minutes before close time. Good luck getting a table in the last hour. I wouldnt come back though the food wasnt really something to return for; all of the hashbrowns, bacon and sausage was already made before we ordered. Come on now...
