Google
Amazing selection of outdoor plants. They absolutely know what they are doing. Some great houseplants too. Quality local produce as well. Prices are solid and staff was super nice. Will go back any time I need plants!

Danika R.

Google
I really love this place for flowers and plants of all kinds. Their produce is also very very good, and the employees are always very nice and helpful.

Gary M.

Google
Great nursery and market combo. Lots of plants in a big space with several greenhouses, sort of a Costco of plant nurseries.

Dan S.

Google
This place is great people are friendly. They know everything about plants and vegetables. There is to know and there’s something there for everybody.

Google
Amazing!!! I had such a great experience here being able to find such great things at good prices and the staff was friendly. I originally came for pumpkins and plants, but left with so much more. I tried a few apples that I had never heard of as well as a couple other items, the produce was all so fresh, and they also had some amazing pickles and they carry meat! beyond my expectations. I can’t wait to return! I’m so happy I found this place, if you haven’t been please check them out worth a trip.

Sofia M.

Google
Great flowers for the season but some greenhouse are FILLED with boxes.

Katie M.

Google
Hands down the best produce stand and greenhouse. They have SO MUCH. I believe they have 7 or 8 greenhouses full of everything you could imagine. Tons of veggie and herb plants. Tons of annual flowers. Their hanging baskets and potted plants are always really nice. Priced well. Inside, they sell south mountain creamery items, pickles, eggs, drinks. Their tomatoes are to die for. I have never had a bad experience here. Their plants are always very healthy looking. They have a bargain bin with reduced produce. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Lots of parking. Stop in, you won’t be disappointed!!

I love pranks all the fresh produce and flowers incredibly awesome place to shop!

Yelp
I've been coming here for years and I'm in shock that I never wrote a review. Coming here is most literally one of my favorite places. This is more my speed than Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. I'm a glam country girl and will forever be. Flowers, plants, fruit, vegetables, farm fresh meats, dairy, bakery items, etc, etc, etc. High quality, always fresh. Store is always clean. They just did an expansion of the store making more space for product placement & customers to roam. I love the open market feel. Staff...always friendly professional. I could have a bad day and coming here instantly cheers me up. Prices... health costs money but copays cost more. You choose. Parking... decent. The turnover is quick and I've never had to wait to park. People are usually in & out. Issues... the only herbs they sell is cilantro. I'm ok with that (mostly). But I really wish they had mint & basil. They are closed during winter. Makes sense but... Those are the longest 4 months for me.

Yelp
Great service and great products. They had the fresh fruit and local produce. Large assortment of apples, and also as an outdoor area where you can buy different things.

Yelp
Franks is always an adventure. They have fresh, local produce. On 5/4/25, the selection was watermelon, summer squashes, corn, and more. I love getting my seasonal produce from there because it is so fresh and flavorful. They also have locally sourced baked goods, jams, spices, and candies. The plant selection is also unreal. They have about 8 greenhouses all filled with different plants. Feels like walking through a local garden rather than a nursery. A plus is also that they usually have a food truck on the weekends. The day I went was Mikes Gelato.

Yelp
Frank's is a go to for our spring flower shopping. They have a large variety of plants and herbs to select from. The space is well laid out and you don't feel like you're on top of others. Prices are competitive with larger lawn and garden stores. This is a year round experience from spring plants to Xmas trees and decorations and locally grown produce. Parking is limited but usually a short wait or walk.

Yelp
Franks is our favorite place to get fresh produce, local meat, flowers, herbs, and pumpkins. We especially love this time of year getting our Christmas tree, hand-made wreath, and decorations for our home! They are the best family-owned and local business to support -- amazing people, products, and atmosphere. We could not recommend them more!

Yelp
The most fun place to shop! Home decor to farm fresh goods to the most gorgeous plants! The location is so convenient right behind costco, and I always make sure to stop by. They always have something for the season but make sure you go during the spring because the flowers are absolutely beautiful. There are 3 main greenhouses absolutely packed with color, and a couple more to the side. The prices are great and workers are super friendly. Cute cat as well ;)

Yelp
This is my husband's happy place. They have a big variety of all kinds of plants and flowers and I can see why it takes him forever to make up his mind. He is the one with the green thumb in the family and according to him the price is very similar to Lowes or Home Depot but the quality is way better... and you also help the local economy. The produce section is small and they also have a few garden decorations. Sometimes there is a food truck and that's a plus after spending so much time looking at plants.
google avatar

Victoria L.

Yelp
Good food and kind people. Some of the food items are cheap and others are more expensive. Grapes and cherries are cheap. While honey amd canned foods seems a bit expensive compare other vendors. I understand a lot food items are grown locally.
google avatar

Yelp
My friend told me she buys her fresh produce here but also annuals and herbs and veggies. So on her recommendation, I finally made it here today. So, so glad I did! I found almost every veg and herb I wanted. Tempted to buy corn shoots, but I really like growing my sweet corn from seed so I passed. Every plant I bought was so healthy and thriving, I just know they are going to do well. I don't plant annuals usually, but I might just be tempted next Spring :) They have such a huge variety! I actually walked around to all 8 greenhouses just to see everything. Workers were so helpful, too. I couldn't find jalapeño peppers and the staff person told me they were still on the cart they were unloading, but I could help myself. I felt that prices were just as good as big box stores, and the plants seem healthier. I'm sold!

Yelp
Located just down the street from the Elkridge Costco, I wish I had known about this place earlier! This was only my second time visiting, and I love how this place changes with the seasons. Last time I visited was around October, and I remember this place was just FILLED with piles of bright orange pumpkins that just shouted autumn. Now that it's mid April, the greenhouses and the outdoor shop are just bursting with flowers, some in full bloom and some just budding. Come with your friends, take some cute pics, and buy some gorgeous plants and fresh farm produce.

Yelp
Franks is great. My mother in law got me hooked a few years back, and I've been coming every spring since. They have everything and at reasonable prices too. Along with the large plant and mulch, dirt, and compost sections, they also have a farm stand and gardening decor for sale as well. There is a port a potty, but no bathroom, and the parking lot is pretty big. It's fun to browse all the different plants and varieties that they have. This year I got strawberries, lettuce, jalapeños, parsley, and tomato for my garden. I've been trying to get peonies from there for 4 years now, which they do sell, but they keep selling out before I can get some.

Emily P.

Yelp
I love franks. The produce is great and their plants are beautiful. I would recommend them to everyone

Yelp
Locally owned, you can be outside while shopping, and they even have a produce store. As a HUGE bonus, you get to skip the traffic mess going up that hill to get to the big box store nearby. This is our go-to place for mulch (they have just about every variety- reasonably priced, and will help you load your car), flowers, bushes and non chemically plastered grass seeds. You can also swing over to the produce stand for whatever is in season, some greenhouse grown things that are out of season - and local honey! The staff is always helpful and seem to actually want to be there. I accidentally bought the wrong type of mulch (shredded pine instead of hardwood) - which was going to look like a mess in my front garden. They took back all the bags. I tried to tell them they could just swap them, and didn't need to bother with the refund/purchase for the new ones, but at a $1 a bag less for the right type, they insisted on taking the extra steps. As a pandemic note: The sides of the produce market are open, the green houses are huge and most of the place you're walking outside on fairly wide paths. People are respectful enough, we even felt comfortable bringing kids with us out shopping - not something we do often.

Yelp
This is the best place in Ellicot City to go for all kinds of planting needs. They have all kinds of plants, trees, flowers, soil, mulch containers and gardening accessories. It is a beautiful, spacious, colorful, amazing place! They have 10 greenhouses stocked full with plants of every kind. I got some pretty pink, purple, perennials, annuals, a hydrangea, and some veggies such as lettuce, chard, tomatoes, broccoli, peppers to grow too. The workers are helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable! I even met their resident cool cat, whose been there for 12 years. It was truly a wonderful shopping experience!

Yelp
Huge, huge selection. Easy to get to and lots of parking. I wish they had a bigger selection of native plants, but you can definitely find some here. Lots of hanging baskets as well.
google avatar

Sharon R.

Yelp
Been visiting Frank's for30+ years. Love everything about them, flower plants, veggies plants, and canned good!
google avatar

Garvin C.

Yelp
There aren't a lot of local and fairly large greenhouse operations nearby, and this is one and it's filled with a lot of good stuff! They have produce, plants, flowers, local jams/jellies, meat and some baked goods. Some of the produce I believe is not really any different than what you would get from a Giant, but supporting local business is nice, and they do have you can't get at a normal chain grocery store (like the fruit jams and preserves!). Parking can sometimes be a little tough, but not usually.
google avatar

Yelp
What a great place buy garden and outdoor plants. I lived in Columbia for several years before discovering this place. (Thank you Yelp.) Always cheaper than the plants at the big home improvement stores. And they always have a few odd varieties of flowers . . . . Which makes me happy. In the store you can find fresh produce and dairy products. A must stop in the spring. Your yard will appreciate it.
google avatar

Wayne G.

Yelp
We've been here many times and their stuff is better than the groceries and many other outdoor markets in the area.
google avatar

Tim B.

Yelp
This is a great greenhouse operation. They have all the flowers, vegetables, and even cacti that a person could ask for. I found Cherokee Purple and Black Krim tomatoes here, which aren't the rarest, but also aren't the easiest to find.
google avatar

Vc C.

Yelp
It's true that the plants all looked beautiful and well cared for. But the big issue is that very few plants were labeled or priced. I had specific items in mind considering sun exposure, land type and wildlife. There was no way to find the plants I was looking for and personnel was no where to be found. If you're looking to wander about and choose pretty plants this is the place for you but if you have specific interests, go elsewhere
google avatar

Kathy T.

Yelp
Found this plant shop and was so happy to be able to buy my flowers for window boxes and pots. Organization's a little challenging--hard to find things--but with Covid I assume it's harder for them.
google avatar

Yelp
It really dose not get much better than this. 7 days a week during the spring, fall and summer months. Produce that is from local farms in the area, Eastern Shore and and some of the southern states. I like the fact that the folks who run the market will tell you where the produce is from. Of course when the season is right for a particular crop the local produce is nothing short of amazing. I have always thought that the prices are reasonable especially for the quality you get. I have been frequented the market now for over 30 yeas and watched it grow. Through all of that growth the quality of product and the friendliness of the staff have not changed. The market carries standard produce They also sell shrubs and plants. You will forever be a customer after your first visit.

Sharon C.

Yelp
In addition to having seasonal produce for sale at lower than supermarket prices, they have a wide range of garden plants available. They have a wide selection of native plants including many pollinator-friendly plants. The plants all looked to be in good health, too, and are doing well in my garden.

Yelp
WoW!! This place is an absolute explosion of colors. So many, too many greenhouses, jam-packed with flowers, plants - many I've neither heard of or have even seen. After awhile, I was just getting dizzy - with all the options of perennials, annuals, hanging plants, grasses, herbs, fruit trees, vegetable plants - plus, step inside the partially enclosed market and you'll find fresh fruit, veggies, pickled items and cookies for sale. There are also various types of potting soil, peat moss and gardening tools for sale. It's a virtual gardening field trip.

Britney H.

Yelp
I was tired of looking at Home Depot for new plants. I looked up plant nursery's near me and I found this place. When I started walking around I was literally shocked. My breath was taken away of how beautiful the green houses are. I could not recommend this place more.
google avatar

Oana D.

Yelp
Last fall :Best apple's I ever eat ! This fall I'm coming back for more ! Thank you for your business!
google avatar

Kevin C.

Yelp
There's plenty of selection here. The staff was a bit hard to get a hold of...not as bad as Home Depot though. When I did speak to them, they were pleasant and helpful. Prices seemed reasonable and I was able to get plenty of annuals and perrenials for my house. During busy times such as Saturday, parking is a bit tough as they just have an unmarked gravel lot. I will definitely come back here given the large variety and it's better to support local than one of the big box stores.
google avatar

Ayumi N.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Lots of greenhouses with full of plants, friendly and helpful people, fresh veggies, and some fun decorations for the yard :) Finding parking spot could be painful but it's worth it! I almost felt like I was at the botanical garden...!

Jim C.

Yelp
No masks!! The kids stocking plants right where all the customers are don't wear masks! I said something and 1 kid pulled a mask out of his pocket. Still didn't wear it. I said something at the register and the girl said they are wearing masks. Ok, well I left. Pretty sure they are going against the state mandate. Stay away people!!
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Loved coming here with my mother and daughter. Great selection of flowers, treats, etc.
google avatar

John P.

Yelp
Huge selection and great prices. My wife buys spring flowers from here every year. They offer 10% military discount.
google avatar

Caroline H.

Yelp
Great fresh produce, the tomatoes, squash and fruit are top notch tasty! Also wonderful flowers, pumpkins and Christmas trees! Owners are great!!!!
google avatar

Sondra j.

Yelp
I remember years back Franks was the place to. Go. Prices were more digestible than Home Depot, Lowe's and other nearby nurseries. Somehow over the years Frank's became cocky and lost their mind and sense of decency...they forgot that the customer is King. That said their prices exceed most nurseries by at least 25%. How do I know? They got me big time and do not accept returns. Not good selling practices Frank. Keep it up and you'll be close behind Sears.
google avatar

Tim V.

Yelp
Great selection! I was looking for some very specific perennials and the staff was very knowledgeable. Love this place!
google avatar

Karla H.

Yelp
Excellent nursery a month ago I was told about this place and so I went to get plants for my vegetables garden. Help was around to answer questions and wearing masks and signs were posted outside each green house on number of people that could enter. In addition they updated their website with information on limited numbers being allowed in at a time for social distancing. The plants have been planted and are flourishing. The only thing I couldn't find were some seeds.

Tee B.

Yelp
The customer service was great this morning. The 3 young ladies at the counter were very attentive and friendly. I was able to score the last 3 white sweet potatoes in the market-- they are so good and naturally sweet.
google avatar

Kristie L.

Yelp
This is a small little farmers market that sells from around the area. They have fruits, veggies, jams, cookies, and random little goodies. We love the apple assortment they have, although I believe the apples we get from the market are originally from PA, so everything sold at the market is not necessarily from MD. Everyone is very helpful and nice here. It's a nice shop for those looking for fresh groceries.
google avatar

Kimberly W.

Yelp
Best selection of plants I think I've ever seen. Very healthy and so many greenhouses, If they don't have what you are looking for ...it probably doesn't exist Prices are very reasonable as well
google avatar

Pooja T.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. It is a perfect local find! So close to my house and so convenient! The prices are very reasonable! I come here for my fruits and corn and some herbs to plant! They're great and sweet people, and never disappoints me! I absolutely love supporting local farmers and this is a perfect one to do so!
google avatar

Amanda W.

Yelp
We came here for pumpkins to carve for Halloween. They had a huge selection--all sorted by shape, size, and color. The price was super reasonable. I think we paid $4 for two pumpkins. We ended up looking around at the plants and all of the fruit and veggies, but only walked out with pumpkins because we were in a rush. I would happily come back and shop here. Plenty of parking and wide aisles.
google avatar

Sandi B.

Yelp
Love this place for fresh fruit and vegetables! They also have great pumpkins and Christmas trees.
google avatar

Valsa T.

Yelp
Omg! I totally love this place! Everything is so fresh, organic, reasonable prices and most of all the variety. It's sad that I don't live around here but we visit here quite a bit and am glad that they have my favorite caramel popcorn sold here! Thanks to my lovely sister in laws for introducing me to this awesome place.
google avatar

Crystal J.

Yelp
This is the only place to get your spring flowers!! These are the local guys. Their flowers and ferns are GORGEOUS!! Their prices are spot on. Why give Home Depot or Lowe's your business when this place has better stuff at a great price?!?

Andy B.

Yelp
Good selection of plants and they are in much better condition than some of the big box store options
google avatar

Ki P.

Yelp
What a fantastic find! Great prices! Unique varieties! Super friendly staff. I will be back!
google avatar

Joyce J.

Yelp
Great place to buy plants. I went to Frank's for every weekend almost the whole spring to buy plants to spruce up my both my flower and veggie gardens. Everyone I spoke with were very helpful and knowledgeable. All the plants I bought from them were very healthy and thriving.

Michael H.

Yelp
Exceptional variety in vegetables. All my tomato plants have been planted early spring, and most of them are still standing, producing fruit. Its the middle of August, and I can't believe how many tomatoes our family has gone through. Highly recommended for people who don't have time to sow seeds.
