Small but nice airport. There are several flight here from Garuda, NAM, Transnusa, sushi air, and wings air. This is where you started to explore Maumere. The waiting room is also comfortable enough.

The airport is closed until the 31th of October 2024 due to the volcanic ash of the Lewotobi volcano. They don't give much information online about it. We went there and the lady at the office from Lion/Wingsair gave us this explanation and also gave us a declaration for insurance/ticket refunds. For getting out of Flores, Larantuka airport is an alternative or go all the way back to Labang Bajo, as Bajawa and Ende are closed as well.
