Franziska Restaurant

As my friend said, the food here at Franziska is ok, but the view is good. And it's true, the food here is just ok. Claimed to be "Progressive German Vintage Cuisine", Franziska tries very hard to cook traditional German food in modern fusion, but I would appreciate more if they can be more open to new ingredients and varieties. As the 7-dish course I had, 3 comes with tartare sauce though in different formats, and both the main courses, redfish and chicken were both deep-fried, which is too heavy as a combination. Last but not the least, the black forest dessert can offered with more cherries 🍒.

Overpriced good food with great views. We made a reservation for a Monday evening, as it was the birthday of my girlfriend. There is a clear strategy to basically have a minimum charge per person, and that comes in the form of menus. You can choose between €100 or a €150 menu per person, which does not include the beverages. So the two stars for the average food are taking into account the prices charged. The service was mixed: generally good however we asked to be seated at a table with nicer views, but we’re not given the possibility. Further, I asked for a green chartreuse and was served a yellow instead. When I pointed this out instead of apologizing and bringing me the correct beverage, which I have ordered, I was invited to engage in a discussion involving bringing the bottle and showing me the content. as I didn’t want to spoil the atmosphere (my gf’s birthday), I just stopped this bizarre discussion. I have been drinking Chartreuse for years and you can really not mistake the green for the yellow one (neither in terms of color nor taste). Very, very bad handling of their mistake. The views were very good and that’s basically also the only thing which is worth it at this place. We ended up paying approximately €150 per person without the tip. For that money there are much better alternatives. Only recommended if you don’t care about the prices nor have high expectations from the service. Very nice observation deck, to which you have access and it was really worth going.

The view is amazing at night. The food is good and the staff is really friendly.

We ordered wagyu beef for our main course, but due to a mix-up, something else was served. However, the staff handled it so graciously. Not only did they apologize sincerely, but they also brought over the chef and offered to prepare an extra portion of wagyu for each of us for free！

Amazing. This made the last night of our euro trip extra special. We had the pleasure of sitting at the "chef's table" which allowed us to watch these masterpiece dishes come together and alowed us to enjoy the amazing view. The service was outstanding and the food was not only beautiful but delicious as well. If we ever make it back to Frankfurt, we will definitely be back.

Great experience, went with my Wife to celebrate our 1 year anniversary! The staff, food and atmosphere was amazing. Price was not toooo horrible, definitely worth it.

Visited for drinks and dinner on a rainy and windy winter's night and it was still totally fabulous. The views were fantastically wonderful, food and cocktails was great and the very accommodating and friendly service deserves more than a mention. They are certainly on the pricey side but very worth the money especially for a lovely romantic night out. Hugely reconmended and will return if I ever visit Frankfurt again.

Fancy spot and with a view! On my last night in Frankfurt, I treated myself to a solo date night at Franziska, and it was an experience worth savoring. The ambiance was elegant, with the best view in the city. The dinner began with bread and a welcome bite. The I had the Organic Egg served with Caviar, Mustard Dill Cream, and Crisps. The combination of the caviar's saltiness with the tangy mustard dill cream was amazing. Next came the Udon Noodles with Truffle Foam. I opted to skip the ham chip. The dish was the perfect amount and noodles were perfect. The truffle foam was yummy and not too over strong. The main course was the Redfish baked in Beer Batter was accompanied by a Potato Salad Cream, Caper Remoulade, and Garden Cucumber Salad. The fish was tender and amazing. The cucumber salad was a refreshing counterpart that I absolutely loved. A night well spent!

Came by for dinner the other night and it was a rather mediocre experience. Franziska seems to be located at the top of a condo building on the 39th floor with a terrace for smoking? and drinking on the 38th with a view of Frankfurt. They also sell cigarettes at the vending machine on the 38th where the toilets are... Upon arrival, there is a host on the street level that checks one's reservation before teaching one how to use the elevator to the 39th floor along with the terrace on the 38th. The view from the 39th is fantastic, overlooking Frankfurt. There is a chef table along with a bar seating and seating overlooking Frankfurt. Service encounters were a touch odd with the waiter requesting me to show him my face while others were coughing in the restaurant?!? Opted for the 7 course tasting menu, while watching the show from the Chef's table and the view was fantastic. The food itself was rather lackluster. The Spherizied Curdled Milk Cheese Chip was unique. The Organic Egg, Imperial Caviar, Mustard Dill Cream, Crisps felt a little pedestrian. I was somewhat confused with the liverwurst creme brulee and ice cream for course 3 out of 7?!? The sweetbread course felt more like a fried vs a grilled sweetbread. The black cod was tasty although I didn't quite understand the bacon bits.. The pork cheeks came out way too salty...perhaps it's a German thing? The black forest mochi was a tasty way to end the meal. ~160 Euro/head after tax, gratuity, and beverages for dinner.

Miro is the best server we had on our entire trip. The food experience here is incredible. Book the chefs table if you can, because you get to interact with the chefs and it's so much fun. The view is incredible and the restaurant is top notch.

What a fantastic view of Frankfurt! I had the cauliflower soup to start which was very good. The main course was cod and very good. The atmosphere was beautiful and comfortable. Overall it was a very nice dining experience.
