A daytime Italian‑leaning cafe overlooking the gardens—panini, salads, and soups from a Project Green Fork–certified kitchen. A peaceful lunch between plant explorations and a favorite of locals in the know.

Loved this restaurant. I had the spicy tomato soup and it was delicious. Our waiter was very good. I would return here!

I love this place! The food was amazing, the staff was spectacular and friendly, I get very warm and inviting vibes from the atmosphere in this place. I had the white bean chicken chili, and a Niçoise salad both came out in a timely manner and where delicious. I high recommend you try them. Over all this is my go to place to get a great meal at an affordable price.

Stopped here for lunch while traveling through Memphis. This place was fabulous! My husband had a wonderful panini sandwich with a cup of soup and I enjoyed a delicious chicken salad sandwich with some amazing orzo pasta salad! Yum! Highly recommend this place! Great food! Great Service! Friendly Staff! You will not be disappointed!

I had the portabello sandwich. It was way too vinegary and that was all you could taste. Also, had orzo pasta in a cup the size of a 50 cent piece. Where’d Sabine go?

I thought the flavor of the food was good and I don’t ever go out of my way to write less than great reviews or don’t ever review restaurants at all actually but I was shocked at how stingy the Greek salad was for a 12$ price tag. It was literally a few pieces of greens on a plate and a couple olives, tomatoes etc, not even in a small mound like you’d think but just literally flat against the pate it was such a tiny portion. Also with the side of Potato salad which comes with the sandwiches, it looked to be a heaping teaspoon. It very much seemed like they are aggressively wanting to cut their costs without caring how it looks to diners and I was surprised enough to write this

If you like the smallest, stingiest portions for the highest prices, you will love this place. My husband ordered the roasted veggie panini with potato salad, and when it came to the table, I had to do a double take. There , literally, was only one tiny little teaspoon of potato salad on his plate, and the sandwich had such little filling, it looked like two pieces of bread stuck together with nothing in between. I ordered the Greek salad with tomato soup, and the portion of salad was so small with this itty bitty cup of soup that after we left the restaurant, I asked my husband to stop somewhere to get some fries, since I was still hungry. I only weigh 105 pounds, so it's pretty sad when there is not enough food on your plate to fill up someone who is so little. Huge disappoint. Never again.

The food was great. I went with my daughter's 2nd grade class on a field trip. The kids all had a salad and spaghetti. The salad was fresh and the spaghetti was good. I ordered a chicken pasta dish which was delicious. The staff was friendly and the owner even came over to check on us. I will definitely visit here again.

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for dinner. The appetizers were great and we should have stopped there. The dinner was tasteless and the steak cut was subpar, just wasn’t what I would expect for the price.

Yelp
My mom and I enjoyed delicious soups and salads at this cute little garden cafe. The staff were as very nice and the food came out relatively quickly. It was the perfect spot for lunch before a walk in the gardens. I would recommend dressing on the side. The creamy dressing are REALLY strong. I loved mine; my mom did not and she ended up not eating her salad.

Yelp
Beautiful. Delicious. Very adaptable setting. Very attentive staff. Great for small groups. Seasonal menu changes.

Yelp
So far so good! I had had their Avacado soup for the summer which is served cold like a Spanish Gazpacho Soup and it was delicious. NOT too expensive on the menu but it was a hot day at the Memphis Botanical Garden. Also had their Homemade Lemonade as well. 4 out of 5 stars because not sure if the other dishes such as the salads and sandwiches would be delicious as well. Until next time if I come back to Memphis I shall have to write a full review but this is also another good Cafe. It was recently opened since from what I understood from the waitress or staff member they have rendezvous for businesses held here in the quaint casual cafe.

Yelp
Food did not measure up to an interesting menu. Service was terrible. My granddaughter ordered a sandwich with pesto aioli. Thirty minutes (!) later, she was informed they were out of pesto aioli. Her side arrived, a bland pesto(!) potato salad, not the fruit salad she ordered. My son ordered the Cobb salad, with NO tomatoes, please. Tomatoes were in abundance. At least we received a 20% discount on the meal.

Yelp
A Little Trivia:: Fratelli's open its 1st location Downtown on S Front St. beside The Corkscrew around 2000. The 2 were forerunners in the S Front / S Main resurgence, just as old buildings were being converted into lofts, art studios, & retail. After a while, Fratelli's moved to the Memphis Botanic Garden & has been a perfect fit. One of a handful of "Ladies Tearoom" type places. All that to say that I may be their "oldest" customer. I love all their soups, salads, sandwiches, desserts. When I walk in the MBG's front door, I can always smell Paninis toasting. So I counted the Paninis on the Menu:: 19. & I have a feeling that the Chef could put together just about any combo that you could dream up. Lunch with friends is always a delight, starting with their famous Raspberry & Peach Tea. I ordered a 1/2 Cubana Panini served with a side of Pasta, & Tomato Soup (my fave). Everyone was happy with their choices, service, & the ambiance. When my Aunt Dixie Nan comes to town, guess where she wants to Lunch? Long Live Fratelli's!

Yelp
I've been visiting a lot of places that are the hangouts of the ladies who lunch lately...but there is an obvious reason they lunch here at Fratelli's In the Garden - it is lovely!! Located in the Memphis Botanic Gardens, this is an escape from the city. There are salads, paninis, cheese plates, sweet tea...recipe for the perfect southern lunch. And when the table of grandmothers pulled out their cards after lunch, I tried my best not to just stare. It was so cute!! There is a patio outside for pretty days overlooking the gardens and inside is right by the entrance of the building (great for people watching). Definitely take a walk in the gardens before or after your meal to get some fresh air. It is just so pretty and serene! Definitely a nice break from the hustle and bustle of city life...but still at the heart of the city!

Yelp
Amazing Experience! I had to go back and get the sandwich again a week after my first visit. Raspberry and Peach Tea was perfect! Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat! My mom and I have been coming here for years. The soups are so fresh, and the sandwiches are always amazing!

Yelp
I truly have fallen in love with this place. Fratelli's is so low key that my boyfriend and I have decided to name this our special place. The food is immaculate. I usually get the Cobb salad and Fratelli's Tea and my boyfriend loves the chicken parm panini. The service is top notch and make sure you save room for desert because that strawberry ice cream gets us every time

Yelp
The setting could not be lovelier and the food could not be better. Fratelli's is located just inside the lobby of the Memphis Botanical Gardens, against a backdrop of a peaceful water garden. I simply love the sandwiches here. My favorites are the Tuscan Chicken Panini (served hot with sun dried tomatoes and provolone with pesto mayonnaise) and the Balkan Focaccia (turkey, goat cheese and fig compot). But honestly, all the sandwiches are incredibly good. And all are served with your choice of pasta salad or potato salad. Fratelli's is just open for lunch, except for Wednesday and Thursday evenings when they offer a Tapas menu with items such as Seared salmon in pureed red pepper sauce, Meatballs in saffron sauce, mini greek salad and marinated crimini. A dessert selection is also offered as well as matching wines. Additionally, Fratelli's does catering. From small events to large, and picnic lunches for the Live in the Garden music venue in the summer.

Yelp
The group I was with planned an outing to the Memphis Botanic Gardens today and we decided to eat at Fratelli's for convenience sake. Well, that turned out to be a wonderful decision. I chose the Siena Chicken Panni with Potato Salad. Some in our group had Chicken Corden Bleu and other choices. Regardless, everyone enjoyed the dish they chose. My Siena Chicken was well seasoned and the fresh baked bread enhanced the taste of the sandwich. Each bite seemed to burst with flavor. Although some of the potatoes were crunchy, the dish itself was very good. Oh, and the Fratelli Tea with Raspberry and Peach flavoring was a compliment to the meal. There were so many intriguing choices that I was hard pressed - but extremely pleased - to choose the Siena Chicken Panni. In fact, I will likely go back again simply to try my other choices - Chicken Cordon Bleu, Cubana, Porcheria and more, including their fresh salads. The fact that they are also part of Project Green Fork was not only encouraging to see, but it also explained why the food was so fresh and delicious. Seriously, if you have not been to this "hidden treasure" of culinary delight you need to go and check them out. You might need to make a reservation due to the small seating availability, but they do offer outdoor seating with a view of the Rose Garden. Check it out - and enjoy your meal.

Yelp
I thought this place was really cute. It was great that the botanic garden had a restaurant to eat in. I would have never thought it would be good. I was pleasantly surprised how great the panini's were. Me and my friend sat outside on the patio and enjoyed our lunch. It was definitely a great start to our day before exploring the garden.

Yelp
I LOVE Fratellis! Everything I've eaten there has been fresh and delicious. Since I teach at the Botanic Gardens where the restaurant is I eat there quite often . Their avacado soup is amazing and the chicken salad , sandwiches and pasta are all great too. Wonderful

Yelp
This is always my go to especially in the spring with friends and clients....especially if you have a vegetarian you want to eat with. Their sandwiches/panini are so good and I love the potato salad. But you must try the fruit tea. I love it and always ask for a to-go cup to make it last a little longer. The grounds of the botanic gardens are beautiful and that us why I think it is a great "client" stop, to show off a little.

Maggie F.

Yelp
The "restaurant" is not so much a restaurant as it is a room in the building where some tables and chairs are set up. It seemed like a temporary, rather than permanent, setup. It also seemed like the waitresses were volunteers, not professional servers. Instead of focusing on the folks in the "restaurant," the staff instead made the decision to focus on a to-go order for 15 at the height of the lunch rush. Consequently, we waited for well over an hour for our food. It was good when it finally arrived, which was a small consolation. When the check arrived, the server finally apologized for our long wait. A memorable experience, but not in a good way. We will not go back for dining.

Yelp
Really lovely little cafe inside the entrance to the botanical gardens. You don't have to pay the entrance fee to eat at that cafe. Large selection of panini's. I had roasted veg with feta and was really delicious.

Yelp
What a great place to have lunch when the weather is pretty! We sat on the patio which I wish was a little bigger. I had a delicious turkey sandwich and salad. The portions are very good. And there are plenty of options for such a small restaurant.

Yelp
This is a little Memphis gem. It's got a great ambiance/atmosphere and a simple elegant menu. It's only open for lunch and provides simple, tasty, and light fare. Everything I've had has been delicious. I ate and felt full, but it wasn't typical southern lead belly heavy can't walk around the gardens afterwards. ... though they have a cold avocado/cilantro soup that would fit into the slap your mother category. This is one of those idealistic first date places that you would expect to see on a cheesy chic flick. You couldn't find a more beautiful setting anywhere in Memphis (let's be honest). It's like being transported to some European cafe on the edge of a lordly garden. It's posh, doesn't break the bank, delicious, and beautiful. Tucked away right inside the Memphis Botanical Gardens. Even if you don't make it to the gardens you should stop and check this place out.

Yelp
There wasn't anything I didn't like about this place. All the food was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere is perfect for a Saturday afternoon. I can't believe I've lived in Memphis for 4 years and no one has ever recommended this place to me! The dishes were very filling but not too much. I can't wait to go back here!

Yelp
After reading all the reviews, I thought I'd found the perfect place to bring our son and his new girlfriend, whom we were meeting for the first time. As far as the location is concerned, it's in the corner of the lobby. There was no "view". The food: I spent over $70 for lunch for 6 people and we all left there hungry. The foccacio sandwiches are half sandwiches and if you choose mixed greens, that's what you get - a few baby mixed greens. The potato salad was very bland. The fruited iced tea that was supposed to be lightly sweetened looked and tasted like Kool-Aid. We only saw 1 employee. She sat us, waited on us, filled our water glasses and checked us out at the register. The food took so long to come out, I wondered if she's made the sandwiches, too. I alsoI wonder if the people who left the other reviews were related to the owners or something. Not worth the money by any stretch of the imagination. I'll eat elsewhere the next time I go to the Botanic Gardens.
