Fratelli's Pastry Shop (Quincy)

Despite working nearby, it took me a long time to stop by Fratellis. It's admittedly in a strange spot off the main road; Southern Artery is a nightmare and having to turn on or off it is annoying. However, it is worth it to visit this family owned bakery. The front staff were very sweet and friendly. There's so many options to pick from. I visited right before close on Mother's Day and wasn't rushed to make a selection, and there was still plenty to pick from! They have Italian cookies and decorated sugar cookies, all sorts of cupcakes, cake slices, cheesecakes, and more. They also had sodas, prepackaged breads, and pizzelle cookies. They make sandwiches too! I really enjoyed the "creamy dreamy" Hostess copycat cupcake and their strawberry shortcake slice. My roommate loved the lobster tail and said she would eat an entire bucket of the filling.

I recently celebrated my 70th birthday with fratellis's doing my cake What an excellent, beautiful job that was done by the great cake designer. I ordered a custom birthday cake for my best friend and it came out perfect! It was exactly as described and for a fair price. The cake was soft, fresh, and not too sweet. I ordered red velvet and would happily order the same flavor again. I was getting asked where I ordered the cake from so that’s a good sign that it was delicious! The mobile ordering process to request and pay for the cake was easy and convenient. Also, the young ladies at the front desk gave stellar customer service. I would happily order again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everything is great! Definitely try the strawberry bear claw or figure 8. Customer service is top notch! Everyone behind the counter is kind and welcoming especially Kim. I would 100% trust them with special orders for birthdays and other events. The food tastes great and the vibe is fun what’s not to love?

Lemon meringue cake slice is so refreshing, not too sweet but perfect. The half moon is delish! Moist cake and whip frosting is so soft. The staff was super friendly and helpful!

I ordered my sons birthday cake here and man oh man let me tell you, my son absolutely enjoyed his cake. The cake was just right not too sweet. How the cake came out was absolutely amazing. When I picked up the cake I wanted to cry of pure happiness, the creator of this cake did an absolutely amazing job. The customer service was beyond top notch, from placing my order, going over details with Marie to the very end where I picked it up was absolutely phenomenal. I will be ordering more custom cakes from here. THANK YOU FOR BEING AMAZINGLY AMAZING!!!

Best cakes and cupcakes around. They were wonderful to deal with and very responsive. I will order from them again and again. (the lemon cupcakes wet so fast I didn't even get to try one!) Thank you so much for making our kids grad party even better!

Truly vast bakery. They have everything from fresh breads and muffins to frozen ziti and eggplant parm to fancy cheeses and sauces to cookies and cannolis. I really enjoyed the Shangri-La tea. I got a few muffins and tried a little of the Boston cream and a little of the cream cheese. The muffins are not “all natural” and you can taste the lack of butter and use of oil instead and such, but that’s most industrial bakeries. My only complaint is that, after the top of the muffin, the muffin is just muffin. There’s no chocolate chips or anything to make them unique. Service was quick and friendly, and there’s four tables to eat inside. There is a ramp so it is fully accessible. Plenty of drinks, including their own soda brand, fresh teas and coffees (even lattes) and more

I went later in the day and got a lobster tail. The price was okay at $4.99 given the size, but the pastry was stale. I recommend going closer to opening if you want something fresh. I did appreciate how smooth and plentiful the filling was, though.

Pretty good value - chocolate cake serving ~12-16 people cost $28. Cheaper than most other places except maybe generic supermarket cakes. I always love the chocolate/strawberry/raspberry combo so this cake was a big hit for me!

fratelli's pastry was a huge hit at 1000 southern artery for the final meet and greet candidate richard ash for ward 2 councilman tomorrow election day. coffee was served fratelli's pastry went fast, free t- shirts handed out along with information for free rides at voting locations. so, while the seniors enjoyed the tasty treats, they got to hear richard ash again talking about why he is running. thank you fratellis.

Waited a long time while the cashier talked about her weekend plans with a customer that was ready to leave. Left without ordering because I couldn't wait any longer.

Good cakes. We always try and get our birthday cakes from here. Strawberry shortcake used to be great now it's just average Checker board cake is still great

Beautiful, delicious, and reasonably priced cake. 12in, feeds 30-35 but is very generous. This is the 3rd time we've used Fratellis for a family event, and we will keep coming back!

Got a banana split cake here for a birthday. This is a chocolate cake with strawberries, peaches, bananas and whipped cream. The cake looks good and presents well. Texture and moistness is good. As far as taste goes, it is very sweet. For me it is slightly above the acceptable sweetness range. The icing sweetness need to be toned down, in my opinion. The chocolate part was good but it is nothing specially unique to this store. It is like average brownie. The use of fruits are in the insides of the cake only. I thought the fruits were kind of confusing. This is named a banana split cake but there are other extra fruits in there. The banana characteristics and flavor were overpowered by the strong sweetness of the icing and the other fruits and chocolate. They should call this the 'chocolate cake with random fruits and sweet icing'. The cream in the cake is okay. Not out of the ordinary. Not comparable to the Tous le Jour sweet cream cakes. Overall, this cake is not bad but confusing and a bit too sweet. It seems like they are trying to do too much with what they called a "banana split cake". Definitely better than your standard stop & shop cakes, but I don't think it can hold up to cakes in Whole Foods or Tous le Jour. I would go back and try a different cake though. Hope that helps.

For a baptism we served Fratellis frozen chicken parm. It was delicious. Big tender chicken breasts with plenty of delicious red sauce. Paired well with Fratellis homemade scali bread. They also made a beautiful cupcake cross cake with plenty of frosting. Would highly recommended Fratellis prepared frozen foods.

Old pastries. I've called ahead and asked if they had chocolate cake that served up to 9 people, so I wanted to pre-order a cake birthday cake.And asked if I can add extra strawberries on to the cake, they said they can . By the time I got there the cake wasn't done, I also saw fruit flies inside the cake stalls the hygiene was awful. Pay attention when u go in the bakery, look closely u can see a lot of fruit flies flying around inside the bakery stalls. And despite my own Judgment, I still place and order the cake. and the cake i had tasted sour and gone bad. I won't recommend, nor coming back here ever again. The strawberries fell off the cake and the service was awful. If u want to avoid food poison don't come here. I threw the cake what a waste. Never again ugh. P.S. several yelper's has mentioned that this bakery serves very old pastries, i didn't pay attention until now it made lots of Sense .I wished I did my research earlier instead of wasting money on a birthday cake went expired, the chocolate cake was very sour.Some cakes were sweating in the bakery stalls, signs to look for bad cake. I never knew cake can look wet, pay very close attention and caution .

Not good. Can only speak about the customer service and their Tiramisu slice. Tiramisu was outright disgusting; no flavor, no structure. Came in on Valentines Day to get a slice because that's what my boyfriend loves to eat and the girl grabbed the slice with he phist and threw it in a paper box haphazardly, which honestly left me pretty pissed. Not going back. Ever.

The product is good . . . the service is poor . . . they stare at you like dear in headlights . . .phone orders are more receptive than walk in . . .

Fratelli's Pastry Shop is amazing! I contacted them about cookies for a baby shower and shared an invitation with them. They matched the colors and everyone loved them! They were beautiful and delicious! We will definitely be back and getting more things from them. Everyone asked where they were from and when I told them Fratelli's they all agreed they are amazing.

Fratelli's Pastry Shop offers a great selection served by a friendly and gracious team. This is a winner on so many levels. I definitely recommend a visit here.

The BEST bakery on the south shore. They support the community, hire local staff and best of all, their baked goods taste amazing. I recommend the cupcakes, birthday cakes (white with traditional icing) and the half moon cookies. Take home foods are good too. I'm not a big fan of their bread, but otherwise amazong.

I had heard good things about this place before and so I have been wanting to check it out myself for a long time. I was not at all disappointed when I visited last week! There is limited parking in front of the shop but there are lots of parking spots in the vicinity so that's not an issue. As soon as you enter the shop, a wonderful smell hits you and if I didn't have good self-control, I would probably have bought everything in the shop. There is also a modest seating area if you would like to sit and eat there. So, I ended up getting the lemon delight cake, cannolis (pistachio and chocolate) and Boston cream muffins. Service was quick and I didn't have to wait at all before someone was available to help me. Regarding the taste, I honestly loved everything and it's hard for me to pick a favorite, but I really liked the lemon cake because it was really moist and just the right amount of sweet. I'm hoping to try some of the other stuff at the bakery when I visit next time (which I definitely will be!)

I'm a Quincy resident, and I love neighborhood bakeries. I much rather prefer a local bakery to a giant chain establishment for baked goods. I have purchased cupcakes, muffins, breakfast sammiches, pastries and even an eggplant parm for dinner from Fratelli's, and each item DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Cakes are also super yummy and not too sweet either (this is preferred especially if the buttercream is sweet...makes for a nice balance!). I also work in Quincy, and my job was celebrating a huge milestone. On a whim, I called Fratelli's a day before our party, and they were able to make us a cake in less than a day turnaround time. Grabbed my boss's credit card and placed an order for a 1/2 sheet cake with chocolate and vanilla layers and iced with French buttercream. Cost was pretty decent, and they also delivered it to us for an extra charge. I also emailed our company logo so they could have this printed on the cake, and they did such an amazing job. So amazing that I called them the next day to thank them. THANK YOU!

Very nice bakery with plenty of sweet treats. I was in the mood for a muffin the other morning and I happened to be driving by this place so I decided to stop in and see what they had for muffins. I went in and looked in their display case and they had quite a variety of muffins to pick from including blueberry, pumpkin, chocolate chip and Boston cream just to name a few of them. I opted for the chocolate chip and it was definitely a good choice. It tasted very freshly baked and was loaded with chocolate chips and it also had a drizzle of icing on the top which was a very nice touch. I looked around at the other display cases while the bakery clerk was ringing in my purchase and I saw some very delicious cookies, cakes and other pastries but the thing that stood out most was some half moon cookies that were in one of the cases. So that will likely be my choice for next time. I noticed a couple of tables where you can enjoy your pastries or beverages and there is a small parking area out in front of the bakery so parking is not a problem. The counter help seemed very friendly and took care of me fast enough. I will certainly be back to try some more of their sweets!

My family loves Fratelli's. We frequently get bread and cupcakes from the bakery, which are wonderful, but this was my first time ordering a specialty cake. They did not disappoint! I was so pleased with the cake - it was beautiful and tasted great! ordering was east (without crazy lead times) and pickup was. breeze. We will definitely be ordering event cakes from them again.

Fantastic place to enjoy pastries, cakes, muffins, and bread! Friendly staff who attend to your sweet tooth! Consistent top notch quality that will satisfy everyone! Can't go wrong here.....unless you don't give them a shot!

Unless you are an extremely large party you cannot get anything delivered. I don't understand that, we have DoorDash in so many other services that could supply your product to the nearby community. Especially when we have a requirement for gluten-free. Hopefully someone else finds a better experience. Plus the delivery charge is $25!

Try not to go more thane once a week. I'd weigh 250 lbs. excellent and shouldn't be missed. We walk up so don't know about driving up.

Everything , and I mean, everything I have tasted there is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place especially for sweets and authentic Italian pastries! You pay for what you get but it's worth it! One criticism is the setup when you walk in, it's difficult to figure out where to order for what you want and everyone is so busy it's easy to get overlooked and spend a lot of time waiting .

My friend bought a dozen small pastries here on a whim and I must say, the chocolate nightmare was my favorite. However finding the name of this cake was a journey as I did not take a picture nor did my friend remembered the name. Thankfully, their website has in debt descriptions of the cake and I was able to pinpoint and order the chocolate nightmare for a party. When I went on store to pick up my cake, I was please to recognize the chocolate nightmare slice and saw the name I guess was correct. ( I live pretty far so I could not just go into store to see the slices prior to ordering) I would definitely be back for any future events or if I have a sweet tooth craving.

Iv been a fan of their blueberry loaf- not too sweet, soft and tasty and hopefully as i see use of quality ingredients in the list.. so thats what i always buy from them. As its decently priced for a good quantity. Last time i bought it , i consumed half the loaf and towards the end i got this really funny taste! I took the remaining lof in the pack and turned it upside down and behold! Green spores like food mould- totally unmissable! I gagged!!!! I honestly dint expect this and it scared me as i just ate half the loaf not realising what i had ingested .. personally im also breastfeeding my infant and falling sick wasnt an option and this annoyed me. Anyways when my husband returned it he was offered a new loaf or money back- we took another loaf yesterday .. now i cut a piece of it to have with my Morning coffee and i even dished it. however i jus decided to look at the sugar dusting ontop of the loaf and behold! Grey spore food mould! Now m very very disappointed and annoyed to some extent abt this. This mould is so missable as its closer in colour to the sugar dusting as its not green yet. This is crazy. -------------- Mr.John , how do i reply to you personally!!?? Or i could come in to the shop.

Update: forgot to mention, and now the business owner has commented, I realized I should update - Fratelli's did try to deliver a ribbon for me to add to my cake after the fact, which I guess was something. Unfortunately was not sure what to do with this ribbon - the business says this is how the cake is normally decorated which is totally fair except my parents explicitly asked for some sort of flowers or decoration and made sure to spell out my name carefully when ordering this cake on the phone (it's not an easy name to spell for most I guess). So I'm thinking the person on the phone who they ordered from just ignored them. Also if this is how the cake is normally decorated how do they add the personalized ribbon? Under the strawberry? Around the cake edge? That part still doesn't make sense to me. When they delivered this ribbon, I immediately realized the ribbon was too big for the cake and asked the delivery guy if they had any advice about adding this decor to the cake, especially given the cake was already decorated in the middle with a strawberry. He looked super confused and was like, sorry I just deliver, I can't help with that. Which is fine, but I pretty much took the ribbon, appreciated that maybe they did write down how to spell my name right, and then threw the ribbon away. It did not fit on the cake, it definitely was set up to hang off the sides such that you got half of the Happy on the cake or half of my name. Whatever. I'll go to Fratelli's again probably because I do like their pastries but not for cakes. Also my parents felt so bad they added an order of chicken parm calzone when they delivered the ribbon. I don't have the heart to tell my parents that the calzone is just ok, and kinda bland.

Best cakes! I have gotten my wedding cake and birthday cakes from Fratelli's for years. I personally like the funfetti. The staff is kind and responsive, it is the only place I'll go for cake!

My girlfriend is head over heels for their fruit flan cheesecake. I agree that it's a really great cheesecake, but we always have to buy an entire cake (since they don't sell by the slice). Make sure to call ahead and ask if they have it in the store before going, because it's not available everyday unless you put in an order.

Having been to the Fratelli's other location in Weymouth, we were staying closer to Quincy this time when visiting our family that lives up here. Staff here is friendly just like the other location and I always go for the chocolate covered cannoli and the lobster tail. I need my lobster tail pastry fix when up here. I always choose Fratelli's for this and the flavor and taste is there. They make a ton of great items and you have to try one of their locations.

DON'T EVER GET A KEY LIME PIE HERE I ordered one for $17 for a birthday and it was thrown out - It is nothing but dyed cool whip which the dye is really weird looking and it is topped with white cool whip At least it tasted like Cool Whip Very disappointing from a bakery I like

Great bakery with outstanding customer support. I asked if they had a cheesecake yesterday and they did not, but, offered to make me one. They made that beautiful cheesecake and it was delicious. This extra effort the baker snd staff made capped off a successful birthday for my family.

The BEST muffins!!! Also delicious eclairs and cupcakes. So glad they are on Uber Eats.

Ordered a cake that was made wrong. The owner contacted me a few days later, Apologized & offered me a credit to the store, not necessary but gracious.

They're terrible. We called ahead to check if they had cinnamon rolls. They said they did. We arrived 10 minutes later and they didn't have the cinnamon rolls. Straight up lied to us. They were super rude to boot. Ugh .

DO NOT BUY THEIR KEY LIME PIE. It's VERY VERY VERY BAD . Thought it wasn't gonna be good with it be green anyway but then after tasting it . If you want green colored cool whip pie then get this . If you want something decent go somewhere else. Totally dampened our easter dinner .

The chocolate cake we enjoyed had juicy bits of strawberry inside and chocolate dipped (not hardened) strawberries decorating the top of the cake. Moist, sweet, and chocolaty - yum! To Try: Apple Squares, Fruit Tart

The cheesecake texture was smooth but there was a slight taste of refrigeration. Same with mini Whoopi pies and mocha roll. Bread rolls were on the dry side. Disappointed. Drove a long way based on other recommendations.

This is among the best local pastries to go to. The cakes are the perfect size, the frosting is fresh and the filling is delicious! Today, I ordered a lemon mousse. The lemon mousse filling was delicious; however, the frosting was too sweet and tasted really hardened. The macaroons were far too sweet, as well, and tasted far too soft compared to the crunchy taste I was expecting. The best part was the chocolate covered cannoli; the shell was crunchy and above and beyond delicious! The filling was the perfect amount of sweet and the chocolate chips were like the cherry on top! Would definitely recommend it, when stopping by don't forget to grab it!

Fruit tart cheesecake is the most delicious dessert EVER! I order it for many occasions and luckily there's always one left for me. They have a wide variety of desserts that are all worth trying. The checkered cake is another gem in this pastry shop. Love this place to pieces, but I hate the Main Street. Depending on which direction you're going, it may be difficult getting in and out of the place.

Delicious Italian bakery. Highly recommend impressing your guests with a box of any of their delicious treats. Their assorted finger pastries are delicious, especially their mini pastries! The carrot cake, mini eclair and mini mocha rounds are on point! And if you're not convinced before you visit just check out their website: full of photos and prices of all their treats. You'll be just as impressed by this authentic, Italian bakery.

This place makes really good pastries. Everything has the right amount of sweetness and the cakes here are so fluffy. I get their pastries once in a while but i usually stop in the a raspberry lime rickey and pasta to go. They make red sauce, lasagna, chix broc ziti, etc. and they are super cheap and they taste amazing. Best bakery in town literally. I subtract one star only because im a huge coffee drinker and i wish their coffee itself could taste better and a little stronger.

Came here for the first time and got some dessert. For the size and the quality of the cakes, they are worth it. I got 6 slices of cake: 2 tiramisu, 1 chocolate, 1 carrot cake, 1 rum slice (I don't remember the name) and a slice of the strawberry cake. The tiramisu and the chocolate cake were my favorite. The whipped cream on the tiramisu was so good and you could taste the fresh cream taste where you could tell that it was made in house. The chocolate cake was so decadent and moist, it wasn't overly sweet. The carrot cake was good, nice and dense and moist but the frosting was very very sweet. The rum slice was not my cup of tea, I wasn't really a fan of it. The strawberry cake was good too. Definitely would recommend the tiramisu and chocolate cake here !

Best pasteries in Quincy! I Showed them a picture of a cake that I wanted for my sons birthday and they made it exactly as the picture and the cake was fantastic!!!! Highly recommend.

Yesterday at the beginning of the day I called Fratelli's with a super annoying request to see how many possible cookies they could have made for me by 4 pm that day. I expected them to say, you are annoying, we can give you a dozen. But instead, they end up making me 72 beautiful warm cookies. The girls at the front were super sweet and helpful and helped get me a coffee while I waited for the cookies to be boxed up. I manage an apartment community around the corner, so I recommended these to all my residents after they ate them :).

First of all I tried a bunch of their pastries and they were all pretty good. But the cake that they made for my friends law school graduation was awesome!!! They made a cake in the shape of took law books and it looked great, and tasted just as good. Not overly sweet or complicated with flavor, just a very good, well executed cake!
