It's definitely a fun shopping experience here. The store has a wide range of goods across many spectrums. I really liked that they carry a local clothier that makes their stuff by hand. I can also always find really cool off the wall stuff here, knick nack wise. That being said of you're looking for something 2X or larger. Remember that this is Weho, and they don't have it! 🫣

Google
A modern and fresh interpretation of the iconic Fred Segal brand that we all know and love. You can't find another place in Los Angeles that has it all - the best of clothing, lifestyle, beauty + Tartine from SF!

Walked in and fell in love. Gorgeous store! Everyone there was super nice and helpful as well. Very cool!

Google
Such a unique & beautiful store! Loved being able to shop so many cool brands all in one place. Everyone I spoke to was super friendly and helpful - would definitely recommend as a great place to purchase gifts or just something special for yourself!

Google
My favorite place in L.A. for having breakfast and shop extraordinary clothing. For breakfast Melrose Ave. and for shopping just have a look at Sunset Blvd., too. It‘s bit pricey, but very nice. Sometimes they just have pop-up stores for a couple of months with really special stuff.

Google
I am so excited Fred Segal has opened their new flagship! The CAP Beauty Shop is amazing. New favorite shopping spot.

Google
Quinoa Avo chicken salad. Good portions, great taste, selective menu, and not too bad of procing for being on Melrose. Free parking! Good tables inside or outside.

Google
Our visit was made special by Cameron- he was warm, knowledgable, and incredibly helpful. Probably the best service I've received in a shopping setting,. I will return again just to buy something from Cameron! Thank you!

Yelp
Fit my style, lot's of pretty things and women, too bad it's closed? Miss the coffee shop.

Yelp
Top notch, designer shopping experience from this legendary store. Attached to the aka hotel, this place is the epitome of cool. Everything stands out. They also have a section of designer vintage, with amazing finds. Shoes, gifts, an entire sunglasses section, and an attached coffee shop make this the place to get your cool designer clothes.

Yelp
Had a great experience with a wonderful saleswoman, Maria. She helped me pick out a cute little gift. My 15 minute shopping experience cost me four dollars in parking with a validation Doesn't look like we would be coming back Unfortunately, the landlord doesn't want business for their tenants

Yelp
It definitely WAS an iconic shopping location back in the day. The last time I was in a Fred Segal was 2010... regardless, this location did not provide the wonderful experience that I remembered. It's run by employees aged between 18-25 are appear tired and unhelpful. Asked a Bella Hadid looking girl if she could check there are more sizes available for specific shoe, she goes: "are you sure you really want them? Cuz the storage unit is far." Note to management: maybe tell your employees to turn that frown upside down because it's really uninspiring to shop at a place with the walking dead cast as store associates.

Yelp
I love shopping here! Employees are so friendly and they have the best selection of clothing around! Easy parking right underneath the store in their own parking garage. I love that they rotate their selection all the time and the set up and presentation is just gorgeous! Highly recommended!

Yelp
Amazing designer selection and fantastic salespeople. Always love the unique selection of beauty, shoes and clothes. Can always find a piece that stands out here.

Yelp
I can't help but feel like I'm missing something here. If you've watched Clueless or had any remote interest in fashion in LA, you know Fred Segal. Until I visited, I had an idea in mind but was sorely disappointed. The staff is young and not very attentive, it seems like a cliche at this point. I would imagine if I was a regular client or dropped a heap of cash this go-around, then maybe I'd have a different experience. I overheard someone, who may have been a manager, speak about how Saudi princesses stay in the hotel next door and love to shop there. I guess! The clothing offering seems like a bygone era and serves those who haven't evolved out of that era. Like a facsimile of punk or prep for people too boring to actually make a choice. Somewhat bittersweet for me, especially considering how (slightly) ahead of the curve their partner Kith both looks and feels.

Chiara M.

Yelp
I've wanted to shop here forever, as I knew Fred Segal is a must visit in LA! The store is really great, with a variety of cool brands. The staff was friendly and well prepared, and helped me finding some pieces I just love! I will definitely shop in Fred Segal again the next time I am in town :)

Yelp
What's up LA? Fred Segal has moved from its long-held outpost on Melrose to Sunset Boulevard? Yes. But parking is below, and they validate, so head over to see how it all shakes out. A rabbit warren of shops under the Fred Segal umbrella, it's fun to see cutting-edge stuff you won't find in department stores. There's always one rotating couture space upstairs that's worth a look. Men's, women's, kids clothing, a great eyeglass shop, home goods and a cafe when your AmexBlack card needs a break. Downstairs, tenant Kith has an entire floor of kicks and plenty of Japan-inspired retro stuff to wear. High end to be sure. A hit!

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Fred Segal at this location - I remembered visiting the Melrose one years ago and was sad to see it lose its iconic spot. It's located on the hill of Sunset Boulevard and has a lot underneath the store - park there and make sure to get validation inside. There are plenty of spots. The store is pretty well laid out and they have a variety of clothes and brands to offer. Some of the rooms have very artsy or unique displays, which fit with the items displayed. (Ex. One room has red lights with mannequins posed in various poses and one on the floor, while the room houses rock or band style merchandise.) Staff were friendly and offered to help us if we had questions or wanted to see things. I wish I had gotten the name of the gentleman who helped me look at some of the vintage designer bags on one of the displays - he checked prices and let me take a closer look. Also he was happy to help with validation when we asked. The views are stunning if you look out the windows - you can really see most of downtown Los Angeles from their vantage point. (Not ideal if you get vertigo or hate heights though - as they have a lot of windows showing how high up you are.) Prices do vary on items - you can find some home decor/consumables for a couple of dollars, then some of the clothes can be quite pricey. The vintage designer bags varied in price, but they were in the thousands, despite being vintage.

Yelp
Crystal and Brooke at the FS flagship store at 8500 Sunset are absolutely the best Both offered tremendous customer service, professionalism, and fantastic purchase recommendations!

Yelp
One of my fav select shop in Los Angeles. They do a great job on curating the fashion and lifestyle merchandise by the local designers, brands, and of course really nice clothes. Fred Segal evolved a few times from the early 2000 till now. I love the sunset location specially because it's got a lot of the inspirations influenced by the music culture. Of course the Kith store downstairs never disappoint. If you are visiting LA from the overseas, this is the spot you should visit. It's $$$ and full of hype. You just gotta experience it.

Joan C.

Yelp
I had heard about Fred Segal and had some free time in LA so decided to pass by. I was amazed by the great product range that was available and how nice the staff was. Will definitely go back when I am next in town. Strongly recommend, best store in LA.

Shannon R.

Yelp
I have visited this location many times and had zero issue but today was different. I was extremely uncomfortable and felt targeted by how much the staff followed me around. I was browsing and enjoying myself up until I felt like I was being stalked. I will not be returning.

Yelp
There is something everyone needs to know. This Fred Segal is an actual IMPOSTER of the Original Fred Segal location that is still on Melrose. That is the store you know and love. This company purchased the rights to the name "Fred Segal" and opened this store on Sunset, while advertising that they moved out of the location on Melrose in 2017. This is a lie. The Sunset Fred Segal was NEVER inside the Melrose location. Ever. The Sunset Fred Segal is a new concept based off of the name they purchased. They've assumed the rights to the history as well, none of which is authentically theirs to begin with! The store you know and love is still inside the original Melrose location! I've been shopping there for years and find the best designers that aren't the mainstream designers Fred Segal Sunset carries. The famous Mauros cafe is at The Melrose location too and where all the celebs eat. Awesome vibes, better clothes, free parking, and you never know what celeb you are going to bump into!

Yelp
This is a pretty creative Fred Segal. I love the vines of tennis shoes over the stairs. And the cereal shake bar in the lower level. I do wish there was a better selection of clothing. That aside it's a gorgeous store.

Yelp
love love love The overall aesthetic of the Fred Segal flagship on Sunset is outstanding. Each area of the shop puts forth a unique vibe - each beautiful in its own right. I especially love the health & wellness area towards the front (including Goop products!). But the highlight of the store, for me, is the large and tastefully curated optical section. They sell Jacques Marie Mage frames, which I discovered at Fred Segal and am. obsessed. with. Add in exceptional customer service, a lovely cafe, and A+ events, and you've got one of the best places to shop in Los Angeles.

Yelp
I guess it is my fault that I did not dress in my designer outfit or bag that's why I was not helped and they were not friendly with us. We drove almost 3hrs to shop here, I asked if the boys can pee, they said their restroom is closed. I tried to plead if they can pee, they said no. Not a disabled friendly store. They were busy helping 5 customers and ignore us, but among all of us, I was the only one who bought pricey shirts there. The other customers they have been helping left the store empty handed. No order, nothing. They are not even friendly.

Marshall G.

Yelp
My first time in a Fred Segal store and everyone was so helpful and low pressure. Highly recommended.

Yelp
If I could get you less than one star, I would. My friends and I were profiled and security was following around the entire store. Three black men looking at book must've set off a red flag ‍. We were to pick up a couple of books and then decided not to. We'll order from Amazon. Y'all need to work on this.

Yelp
Checked this place out yesterday after work. Their clothes was extremely cute !! Absolutely love the style! Best part is all the fun themes / props they have going on in the store !! So many cool things to take videos and pictures of!
google avatar

Elle L.

Yelp
Cuuuute space! If you go all the way back there's an adorable swinging chair to nap on. Just kidding, you should be checking out the florals and decor section. Or grabbing a tea in their cafe? Is this space even for shopping? It's too cute I can't decide! The only downer is the parking structure downstairs but the cafe validates.

Yelp
Presentation: A+ Friendliness of staff: A+ Cafe menu and decor: A+ It's only too bad I came here after seeing they accepted Apply Pay in the Yelp description only to learn (sans wallet) that they don't accept Apple Pay. Thus, I was unable to buy anything at the cafe. Change that one little thing, Fred Segal.

Yelp
Love this new store located on the corner of sunset and la cienega. I popped in this weekend and was so impressed by all that is on offer. They have denim, children's clothing, a clean beauty counter, a chic floral stand, home section, a coffee shop and much more. It seems like stores are trending more towards experienced based shopping and that is definitely the feel here. Views are beautiful, all the way to downtown and the space itself feels part showroom part store.

Yelp
LOVE JOE!!!! He took GREAT care if me on Xmas eve.... However, When we returned on 12/26--to exchange a few things (told EVERYTHING was exchangeable) a gal named Shannon shouted "those are Not returnable "!!! Luckily. Joe handled immediately! She then told me, "please move so we can discuss this"!!!! BEYOND terrible to a new customer who spent quite a bit and was eyeing a few more very expensive items! I was in retail for years---would have FIRED ANY employee that talked that way to a customer!!!!! Would have given 5 IF not for her nasty and abusive attitude!!!!!!

Yelp
Loved the Novogratz pop up. Went specifically to see it. This store is colorful, fun and inspiring. Very nice staff.

Yelp
Really nice store layout. Great selection of stuff. Eclectic mix of different designers (really fun Libertine section in the back) and partnerships with New Era for a line of grey baseball hats. There's a coffee shop in the front which is awesome for grabbing a nice brew and walking around the place with it. Great ambience and friendly staff!

Yelp
Come here sometimes to their Cafe for a coffee or snack break. Obsessed with their chia seed pudding with fruit. The fruit is so sweet and the rice crispies are a perfect compliment. They rarely have a line when I go and they have a nice patio to enjoy your food outside. Lots of seats and never too crowded.

Yelp
** Please note that this review is for the Fred Segal Cafe only.** 1) Ordered a smoked salmon sandwich from the counter person. Wasn't sure how it all worked so noted I would be just outside the door on their patio which is within view of the counter. She acknowledged my statement. 2) Thirty minutes passes which, as an executive at Food Network, strikes me odd for a sandwich that doesn't require any cooking or even toasting. 3) I politely walk in to check on my sandwich to which she queries what kind was it. I noted it was a smoked salmon sandwich and then I spy a strangely similar smoked salmon sandwich in the front display case and ask if that might possibly be it? She confirmed definitively that it was NOT my sandwich and told me she would check on it. She then resumed brushing the counter with some sort of enormous paint brush. 4) FIfteen more minutes pass... 5) I throw in the towel -- ready to leave -- but figure I'll give it one last shot since I did pay AND tip and all... 6) I walk in to check on it again and this time the polite and talented prep chefs overhear me and note that my sandwich was indeed the one in the case and had been there for about forty minutes. 7) The counterperson then clarified, "Oh...we couldn't find you." (Please note that there are probably three people here...total...as far as the eye can see...) 8) No apologies but plenty of attitude, blank stares and forty-five minutes of my life I'm not getting back from this work trip. So thanks for that, Fred Segal Cafe fueled by Tartine on Sunset. Appreciated! Mark Levine Food Network

Yelp
Setting: A brown skin girl wearing crocs slides a mauve leotard with a matching mauve knee length ballerina skirt walking out of Fred Segal (browsing the store) but 1stops to ask directions to KITH to the 3 employees talking in the doorway of the store. At 1st they ignore me but then one girl decides to address me. I asked "hey do you know where Kith is?" She gives me directions to KIT but as I walk out the store I over hear her rude comment "that was so weird, I thought we were about to get robbed or something" I walked out of the store thinking what is so intimidating about me ...is it simply my brown skin tone that frightens them so bad that a customer can't simply as questions ? ?? I always wonder why ppl with this type of thinking are even hired in customer services/ relate settings where they are allowed to interact with ppl. If ppl don't have good customer service skills are are culturally incompetent please don't hire them. 0 star rating

Yelp
I have a Fred Segal gift certificate from the Santa Monica location and this place would not accept it even though the Santa Monica yelp listing states that it moved to the Sunset location. Now I'm stuck with a $200 gift card that I'm unable to use. Such a bummer.

Yelp
Cute clothing store! SO HAPPY THAT THEY HAVE A CAP BEAUTY POP UP IN THEIR STORE. I went crazy this past weekend and had a treat yourself moment (very worth the splurge). Amazing selection of beauty + wellness products and a highly recommend checking out to anyone who is interested in specialty and organic products. This stuff is worth the hype.

Yelp
It's Fred Segal an experience like no other. Always great to see what's new and who they have collaborated with.

Yelp
My bf had a meeting with Kith so I decided to hang out at the cafe at Fred Segal. I liked the Matcha Iced Green tea and the vibe there was chill! I would go again and try something else!

Yelp
A beautiful Los Angeles staple. Over the years it has evolved into such a great place. It has always been an awesome store and it is a great atmosphere to be in. I shop here a few times a year and I am always satisfied with the clothing I get to go home with.

Yelp
A few months back me and my husband attended their Sunset location it was a great and wonderful experience. We were helped by several Young urban individuals, with great leadership and hospitality, we currently got back in town from Texas and wanted to stop by to see and do some shopping. we took notice that they had totally eliminated their Urban demographic out their store. Now once you walk into Fred Segal it's just the same old vintage Mayberry Store, with overpriced items and a bunch of ignorant attitudes, for years the store was about bringing the community and great people together of all nationalities it seems as though Fred Segal is taking a page out of the Trump catalog.

Brian M.

Yelp
Garet has the best men's style. Got me lots of amazing pieces and in and out in under :30 minutes. Best jeans collection.

Wyatt A.

Yelp
Today was my first time in to Fred Segal, I loved the variety of merchandise available. I was assisted by Rachel in the skin care area. She is so sweet, and is very knowledgeable on all the product. I can't wait to come back and shop with her again!!!! The best customer service ever!!!!!!!

S M.

Yelp
Ashley and Hugo (tailor) are AMAZING. I hate shopping and went to the store to just get some quickly. Ashley knew my fit from just looking at me and then totally styled me and offered so many good suggestions. She was honest - said some outfits looked better than others - and made the whole process personable and efficient at the same time. I purchased my engagement photo shoot outfit so quickly and HAPPILY because of Ashley - who also has a great eye for how things should fit. And of course, Hugo - his tailoring skills are impeccable. I'm so happy I went here!

Recycle2 R.

Yelp
Love this shop, it's so sweet and fun! Good customer service. Also love the company Atelier&Repairs, they are a fantastic brand in FS!

Greg B.

Yelp
The chicken and egg plant sandwich was outstanding! The only issue but it is not that big of a deal was the noise. It was so loud inside, I felt like I was yelling across the table to talk. But that is a minor issue.

Ash C.

Yelp
Love this store! Best place to shop in LA for new designers and ideas. There are so many great speciality stores to shop from, you can get lost in here all day.

Zac R.

Yelp
Always something new. Super cool LA institution. Don't forget to check out Kith downstairs and grab a coffee at the cool cafe

Jaime R.

Yelp
Fred Segal has made a serious comeback. The new store is amazing. I used to shop there years ago and hadn't been in awhile. I'm glad I stopped by after their grand re-opening. Hands down this is the best place to shop in LA now.
