Yelp
OVERALL:
-Chicken parm sandwich really hit the spot.
-I'm giving three stars because the sandwich was only ok and I'm pretty sure I was overcharged.
-I might go back to try the pizza sometime since that's what it seems they're known for, but it's only because this is one of the few places near my work where you can get a cheap lunch.
ARRIVAL:
-Found this place on yelp while looking for cheap places to eat near where I work.
-I went by myself on a Saturday around 4pm. There was no line and only a couple other people stopped by while I was there.
-It is between several other restaurants on this block. It is partially underground so you have to go down several steps to enter the restaurant and order. I don't think there was any way of entering for people in wheelchairs or with mobility issues.
FOOD:
-Chicken parm tasted good. The sauce was good and the bread was good. The chicken tasted rather low quality and a little rubbery. I didn't go very long between getting the sandwich and eating it. By the time I did eat it, the cheese, sauce, and breading of the chicken had all combined into a mush with pieces of unbreaded chicken floating in it. Like I said, all the flavor was still good. The texture was just not ideal.
SERVICE:
-The website says a chicken parm sandwich costs $11, but I was charged $15. To be fair, I cannot be sure if they charge a lot extra for credit cards, if the website is not up to date, or if the staff member just overcharged me. Either way it was really disappointing because I went there looking for a cheap lunch.
-I ordered and got my food pretty quickly (about 10 minutes). The staff members I talked to did not speak perfect English, but were very efficient.
ATMOSPHERE/LAYOUT:
-It's clearly only meant to be a place to take your food to-go or get delivery from.
-There are maybe one or two tables where you could sit and eat and a counter you could stand and eat at.
-There is room for people to stand in line and wait for their food, but otherwise it's a little cramped. In the same area as the tables were several large refrigerators/freezers. Staff members would occasionally retrieve things from them before returning to the kitchen/food-service area.
