"This sliver of a wine bar and tapas joint is ideal for drinking solo or with a pal (larger groups will have a hard time finding a seat). Settle in at the wood bar or at one of the stools alongside the stone walls, and choose from the well-curated list of French wines. Charcuterie is sliced right in front of you at the bar; there is also a daily menu (on the chalkboard) with affordable, nicely turned-out small plates like grilled dorado, zucchini beignets, and lamb kebabs."

Amazing food. Amazing service. I came here with high expectations and with high expectations I left. If you like to eat good food come here. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a nice place to have dinner and share dishes.

Had heard very good things about Freddy and came for lunch. Friendly, attentive service and comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Ordered the oyster mushrooms, ceviche, sardines, beet salad, and pork loin, and the stars were definitely the salad and pork. The mushrooms would have benefited from some finishing salt, and I believe they used coconut milk for the ceviche, which may have overpowered the sauce. All in all, an enjoyable meal - but at the end, I was asked if I wanted to leave a suggested tip of 10, 15 or 20%. A bit surprising and awkward but I guess this is becoming more popular at restaurants?

This was my second visit. This time we shared the Gnocchi, Asparagus, Kebab, and Couteaux — each dish was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. A consistently impressive dining experience.

Google
Perfect place for friends gatherings. Tapas format makes fishes easy to share. Wine list is extensive and service is friendly. Make sure to book in advance (as always in Paris)

Google
Absolutely 100% worth a visit. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere, open kitchen in the center with a small charcoal grill. Chef Carlos is a great guy and creates amazing, rustic and tasty dishes every day with fresh and simple ingredients/flavors. Very fair prices, a great variety of foods to share (or not), different drinks and a huge selection of wines. For a more refined experience, you can cross over to Semilla, which is not necessarily "better", but a different, more "refined/classic" experience all together.

Google
An absolute gem in Paris! We were lucky to find this restaurant by accident and it was probably the best meal we had.. we sat in the counter right in front of the chefs, asked for three dishes that were cooked super fast and were absolutely delicious. The wine selection is insane and the staff super friendly. Be aware of the loud music, we loved it but if you appreciate calmer environments this might not be the best place. We’ll definitely come back!

Google
great ambience and service. love having small plates to try more things, and every dish was well crafted. interested to try the dessert next time!

Google
Perfect place to share tapas with people ! Even though the tables are quite small (only counters), the food makes up for this. Since the portion is smaller, you can try a lot of dishes in one sitting. It’s a no reservation restaurant so I would recommend to go early if you don’t want to wait for too long.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place wine bar and fresh French tapas extraordinaire. The Chef Carlos and his gang have created a high octane bar with a young and fun vibe. The tapas are well priced and you have plenty of local wines by the glass. This is a low key busy place where many Parisians love to hang out. So definitely a great spot in Paris

Yelp
Loved this pretty unassuming tapas spot. Really great flavors and unpretentious vibes. The staff definitely makes you feel super welcome! So damn good!

Loisaida S.

Yelp
The space is absurdly small and the staff will try to seat you just about anywhere they can. In my case, with my nose to a wall and exactly 3" of counter depth. I asked "where should I put the plate?", and they shrugged and agreed to move us. Upon being seated somewhere marginally more spacious, we began our meal. The food is very good, the wine is very good. At the end of the meal, they bring the credit card reader which was pre-coded to ask for 10, 15 or 20% tip, because they assumed we were American. Don't fall for this nonsense; restaurants in Europe don't tip staff in this way. It left a sour taste after an otherwise good experience.

Yelp
Definitely a must try if you are in the area. The staff was super friendly and went over the menu and answered any questions we had. The venue was busy but the food came out pretty fast and there wasn't a long wait. Everything was very clean and organized. We had a few shared plates and some wine. The food was delicious, I definitely recommend the razor clams. Will Visit every time I am in the area.

Yelp
This place was recommended by a good friend of mine who lives in Paris. We came around 630pm on a Thursday. Once you walk in, you swag yourself at an empty seat (if any). I would say that by 7, all seats were taken. We sat at the counter right next to the chef's station, so the whole time, we got to watch them cook. They have chalkboards throughout the restaurant that have the food menu written in them. We tried the salmon, cauliflower, ceviche, pork belly, and beef tartare. Everything was prepared well, but we especially enjoyed the ceviche. The raw fish was extremely tender and the sauce had hints of passion fruit. Definitely get this dish. The rest of the food we got was good too but didn't stand out the way the ceviche did.

Yelp
Wow, what can I say? We just finished the best food we've had in Paris. Amazing!! Drinks: G&T with elderberry. Not sweet, perfect freshness Food: Oyster mushrooms: these were amazing. Perfectly cooked with just enough soy. Razor clams: these were fairly gritty. Honestly I'm not sure if they were cleaned or not. But, the flavor profile and texture of the clam were stellar. I'd get them again. Salmon: this was half cooked as advertised with the most delicate texture. YUM! Strawberry Pavlova: just enough meringue, fresh whipped cream and ripe strawberries. Doesn't get any better for dessert. In fact if you look at my photo you will see that it was so good I forgot to take a pic. Ambiance: Quintessential Paris, very small but a great multicultural vibe. Mostly counter seating with barstools but looked like two high tops in the back. Service: super friendly and patient with our attempt to speak French. Staff graciously switched to English after we mangled our drink order. Overall, this was the best thing I've eaten in Paris. In fact it is so good we are going again. Kitchen opens at 6pm on Sunday so be there at 5:45 to get seats. When we left at 7pm the place was full.

Desiree S.

Yelp
Terrible food x expensive. Seriously so disappointed, They didn't have the razor clams too nor the confit canard.

Kimberly C.

Yelp
Freddy's gets packed as soon as they open so make sure you get there early. Their tapas make it easy to share and try a lot of dishes. We had the eggplant, the ceviche, hanger steak and the salmon, all of which were super tasty. It's a fun vibe here, I love coming here every time I'm in Paris.

Yelp
Freddy's was a great recommendation by my mother. I finally let her choose the place for dinner and she made a great choice. You could already tell it was going to be good by the line waiting outside the dinner before 7pm. The razor clams stole the show as they were doused in garlic herb butter yet not over cooked and chewy. The free bread they give you was the perfect vehicle to soak up the butter. We tried other tapas including beef tataki, pork belly, sweet potato, cauliflower, and duck hearts. The beef tataki was the best among them with the ponzu jelly helping it become a refreshing bite. Definitely come by Freddy's for some yummy eats.

Yelp
Really Great atmosphere. Was recommended this tapas bar by a friend. Everyone seemed like they were having fun. We got the sweet potatoes fritters (don't remember what they're called in french), the duck, lamb, and a few other yummy items. Recommend.

Yelp
Stumbled upon Freddy's on our first night in Paris and I have to say it was such a delicious first meal that still gets me salivating. The restaurant is very small and tight and during their busy hours, expect a wait. It's well worth it! My husband and I got here around 9 pm on a Wednesday and the place was bustling but we found a spot at the bar where we ordered a bottle of white wine and were able to wait for a spot to free up. We waited about 35-40 minutes and were seated at a bar top that overlooks the kitchen area in the middle of the restaurant. We perused the menu and ordered several tapas to share. -Miso salmon (€8): Salmon was cooked to perfection and had the perfect amount of miso flavor. If you're a fan of salmon, make sure you order this! (5/5) -Lamb kebab (€8): The lamb was shaved thinly and had great flavor. Almost felt like a deconstructed gyro without the pita bread. I liked this dish a lot but it wasn't my favorite. (4/5) -Pork loin (€9): Pork was cooked well and had great flavor. The mustard complemented the meat nicely. Also a tasty dish but preferred some of the others over this one. (4/5) -Beef tartare (€11): The beef was great quality and very fresh. The raw egg and sesame oil drizzled on top gave it a wonderful flavor. I enjoyed this dish a lot! (5/5) -Razor clams (€8): These were amazing! The garlic butter sauce on the clams were phenomenal and the clams were chewy and delicious. I could've definitely ordered a second round of these. (5/5) -Duck breast with honey (€10): Duck was cooked perfectly and the honey was a great complement. Sweet potato puree accompaniment was also very tasty with the duck breast. Highly recommend! (5/5) -Beef with chimichurri (€11): Steak was cooked perfectly and the chimichurri sauce on top was excellent! One of my favorites. (5/5) All in all, this was a hidden gem that has amazing tapas and wine. If you're searching for good bites, check out Freddy's!

Yelp
The food was good and the staff were very nice as our French stinks. It is a small place and a party of two will fit the best but we managed to gat a table for four persons. Lively place. The also did the mixed cheese plate which was good but small for the price- must have been expensive cheese.

Yelp
This place was recommended by a local, and was packed on the Tuesday night that my wife and I dined there (we were lucky to get seated without a reservation), so our expectations were high. We weren't disappointed. The food was inventive, perfectly-prepared, and uniformly delicious. Standouts from our meal include the "half-cooked" salmon (I'm attaching a pic of this), baked sweet potatoes with a green sauce, and "tempura" calamari. The only downside was that we felt a little cramped in our seats at the bar, but that only speaks to the success of the place, and was an inconvenience we happily put up with for a great meal.

Yelp
Found Freddy's searching online and what a delightful find. Great food, drink, service and music. All service staff that I interacted with spoke English and French. They also have an English menu to assist with selections. The place small but comfortable. Food was outstandingly delicious. It was fun watching the chefs prepare the dishes before our eyes.

Yelp
You have to come here! It is such an amazing little tapas Wine bar. It's very small and intimate. And you will be listening to your neighbors conversations. But it doesn't matter! That glass of wine, and the most amazing food ever! Yes, I know it's Paris France. But it's hard to find a place that legitimately, takes pride in the food they prepare and serve. Especially in such a touristy area. Of course most food here is going to be good. But like anywhere else, there is a hierarchy. And this spot is at the top! You order small plates. Each has 3 to 5 bites depending on how big your mouth is, LOL. And each bite is exquisite. From the razor clams, leaks, pork, mushrooms cut to look like fish, and three pieces of perfectly fried fish, you will want keep ordering. The tastes are sublime and delicious. Perfectly sized portions to share or eat alone. I look forward to going back and saving room for dessert.

Yelp
This place is always popping off! We walked by several times to crowds outside waiting to be seated so when we saw a couple open seats one night, we practically ran inside! We ordered a delicious dry white wine to start followed by the razor clams, salmon and then asked the waiter to pick one of his favorites. He brought out some type of ham wrapped in prosciutto that was absolutely mouthwatering. The salmon was seared and cooked slightly rare, but it was perfect! The clams were a little to fishy tasting for me, but the sauce on top was very complimentary. Freddy's is fun and worth the wait, I highly suggest taking the time to grab a couple plates from here when in Paris.

Yelp
Went here on a whim and it was a wise choice! Not only are the plates beautifully plated, but they are also delicious. Portions are on the smaller side in my opinion but that could be due to the difference in culture. Place is very cramped and noisy inside. So beware. It was a full house and there was even a line outside but we only waited around 30 minutes on a Saturday night. We got serviced relatively quickly once inside. The staff was on top of it! There was still a line even when we left. Menu here is all in French. They do have at least one staff member who speaks some English as our server translated the menu to a party near us! Speedy service and fantastic food. What more can one ask for?
google avatar

Caroline D.

Yelp
Even the locals love coming here. We got the carrot tagine, beet / tangerine salad, fish no chips, and miso saumon. Definitely get all of that and more, you will be so happy at the end of your experience. Each dish includes a good flavor profile, and you won't break the bank doing it. I also had a glass of the fronsac merlot and the noix de pays d'oc as an aperitif. Enjoyed every moment. Be prepared to wait for a seat, and it's a very small / busy place.

Yelp
Great informal French tapas-style bar. We loved it! Stand-out dishes for us were the mackerel escabeche (ceviche), a delightful and total comfort-food eggplant soup, and the Japanese mushrooms shaped like little fish. The waitress made a lovely wine recommendation, a delicious chardonnay, Vire-Clesse, Les Heritiers du Comte LAFON. It was interesting to me how the heavy metal music they were playing, rather than detracting, highlighted the soul of what they are providing, food that breaks out of easy pre-conceptions to delight you.

Scott S.

Yelp
I've lived in France, and this has surpassed every culinary experience I've ever had here or anywhere else for that matter. A 100% hidden gem!
google avatar

Yelp
What a great place! We stopped here for a drink before our dinner across the street, and liked it so much we came back twice! Tapas style small plates, excellent quality and they have a very good selection of wines from Burgundy. Try the grilled mushrooms!
google avatar

Heather A.

Yelp
Wanna snuggle up to someone while sharing an inexpensive bottle of wine and scrumptious small plates? Then DEFINITELY come here! Best Brussels I've ever had! The scallops were so amazing that we came back the next night expecting the same, only to enjoy them in a completely different sauce than before. Both were equally delicious. The staff is super friendly, attentive, funny, and kind. We ended up canceling several dinner reservations online because, c'mon, who can compare to Freddy's?
google avatar

Yelp
I would give Freddy's 10 stars if I could, as it is absolutely our favorite spot for dinner in Paris. We were there on our honeymoon earlier this month, and we would have gone there for dinner every night if we didn't have other reservations planned already. It's a trendy tapas/small plates place located in the St.Germaine area (6th arrondissement) which is foodies' heaven. We checked it out on our second night in Paris due to its proximity to our hotel upon a friend's recommendation. they don't take reservations and the space is tight with open air concept and no AC (or very minimal AC), so if it's a hot sweltering day I would recommend finding a seat away from the grill in the open kitchen in the back. There's only 1 or maybe 2 tables for larger parties of 4-6 people, with the rest being bar seats along the walls. The menu is in french only but most of the waitstaff speak English so just ask them to translate. The music by the way, is amazing if you like 90s music. First night we were there pretty late, we had probably the worst waitress they had, but luckily the other awesome waitstaff pitched in and kind of took over for her, so we immediately fell in love. But because of her terrible service at the beginning, by the time we realized they had razor clams on the menu, the couple that just came in and sat down next to us had ordered the last order! I was really disappointed, but then the other waiter came back and handed us a half "complimentary" order cause that's all they had left - I was ecstatic, as it was one of the best clams I've ever tasted, which is why when we went back the next night we ordered 2 orders of it! Next, we had steak with chimichurri sauce which was amazing, would have ordered it again the second time we went but they had changed the menu and made a wagyu steak instead. It was also delicious but we liked the one wth chimichurri sauce better. We also tried the ceviche which we didn't realize was made with watermelon and not seafood, but even though it was a little odd (had garlic and cilantro etc in it), we still thought all the flavors went together very well and devoured it. Grilled pork was next, and while it was good, the duck definitely was the best ever - and that means something when we have travelled all over china just a couple of months ago and had duck at every meal in every way possible. It was a piece of duck meat (probably around 4oz) grilled to perfection, we loved it so much we ordered 2 and almost a 3rd on our second visit! We also tried the mackerel the first night - it was excellent like everything else, but not something we would order again given all the other wonderful dishes we love more. Also tried the falafel - surprisingly good. It was on the appetizer menu along with cheese and meats etc which we didn't understand for the most part, but i understood the word "falafel"! Freddy's is a must if you ever visit Paris, especially if you want amazing food at reasonable prices. Every time we were there, we would share a bottle of wine and eat until our hearts' content, and it would only be $80-100. Quite honestly, the food is so fantastic that we would be willing to pay double that! But I'm glad they understand the true meaning of tapas, since for some reason, all the tapas places in the Buffalo area are charging exorbitant amounts for subpar food. FYI - Parisians eat late (after 8-8:30pm) so if you don't want to have to wait for a spot, try going early.
google avatar

Eileen C.

Yelp
Not sure what the hype here is about. The space is tiny and they really pack you in like sardines. At 9:00 pm on a Tuesday night, they were out of three of their five meat dishes. Uh what? How are you this poorly prepared. They only serve wine off an average wine list. The food is pricy for maybe three to four bites of food. 64€ later, my boyfriend and left hungry and not enthused....We also waited about 40 min to be seated so I want to know why we even waited when they barely had any food to serve us. I cannot emphasize this enough--The place is extremely small and cramped, even for Parisian standards. The servers were not the friendliest and not attentive at all. They lost track of the parties in line and it was somewhat stressful and chaotic. Our ribs was only one bone with some meat--a little too dry and too much fat. The vegetable dishes were fine but nothing to write home about. I would have loved to try their fried chicken because that could almost be the only decent thing the place has to offer. We had to ask for bread and water over and over again. The desserts were alright with bigger portion sizes. There are so many places to eat in Paris, especially in the area here, so why eat here when you can get so much more elsewhere? Two stars for the mirror ceilings which had potential for cool photos.

Yelp
What a wonderful find on Yelp. This is a tiny little place with the chefs on display in a bar like setting. The food is fantastic. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. The service was exceptional and the vibe was great. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
other than Willie's wine bar in Paris this is my next favorite. you have got to go. the chef is from japan so lots of interesting dishes that wouldn't expect that are very reasonable. great selection of less expensive wine, and they really know their stuff. gets crowded because it should be, but worth the wait to squeeze in.
google avatar

Yelp
This spot has been recommended by one of my best friend... glad I did. From outside... nothing fancy. But inside... great gastronomic tapas!!! Excellent!!! They do have a great selection of wines as well. I have been told that the menu changes in regular bases. When I was there the theme was Spain... and Japan! I really enjoyed it. Important: they do not take reservations and usually it is pretty crowded. So be ready be patient before you het your spot. Crew is awesome as well.

Sean H.

Yelp
Highly recommend the scallops. We had the veal, shiitake mushrooms and scallops. 3/3 across the board but the scallops were next level and the veal didn't trail far behind. Great atmosphere with a good wine selection as well. We had lunch, a bottle Of wine and you can walk right out into a great central location with shops, etc.
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
It was just delicious. The staff was courteous about my franglais casse and I had some incredible small plates, the best being a salades de tomatoes avec burrata. May return again this week!
google avatar

Joce H.

Yelp
The best food I had during my 2 week trip in France! I ordered the mushrooms with soy sauce, aubergine with peanut sauce, shishito peppers, and miso salmon! Soy sauce mushrooms were excellent and very well flavored, and cooked just right! Miso salmon wasn't dry at all, and very well seasoned as well! The shishito peppers tasted delicious as well! And the eggplant was cooked just right, not too chewy, but soft. And the peanut sauce on top was unbelievably delicious. It reminded me of Thai peanut sauce. And the waitress was very nice, as she helped translate the menu for us to English. I give my food and experience here a five stars. The food was definitely a five for me.
google avatar

W H.

Yelp
We went here twice in eight days, and almost went a third time. It's a bar, but it's a bar you definitely eat in. The food is Tapas style, and it is excellent. It seems that it is always crowded, but the wait seems to pass pretty quickly. Note that you won't be sitting at a table, you'll be at a bar. We found the employees congenial, and the service was good. The wine by the glass selections have something for everyone. The atmosphere is fun and loudish. If you are stuffy, a bit of a boor, and want a sit down, treat me like a king dinner, don't come here. If you want some really good food and drink in a cool Paris spot, don't miss it.
google avatar

Mark H.

Yelp
During a short visit in Paris, my friend brought me to this neat tapas styled wine bar for drinks before we went to dine elsewhere. It was the perfect space to sit at the bar and enjoy some lovely wines. My favorite wine was the Cabernet/Cabernet Franc blend. We did not try any of the food, but from what we could see people being served, presentation was beautiful and interesting. From the aromas, it certainly smelled good. Then, from the new friends we made just sitting at the bar, it seemed everyone was extremely happy with their choices. The staff was extremely friendly and for the American travelers like myself, English was available and without the annoyed French stereotype.
google avatar

Liz P.

Yelp
Great place to stop by to have some small bites and drinks. Vibe was on point, food was excellent and so was the service. I attempted to speak French to the server, she mentioned she spoke English and was kind enough to translate the menu.
google avatar

Rusty W.

Yelp
Great tapas! We had fromage plate, white asparagus, duck, wine and sparkling water! Excellent food, fantastic service.
google avatar

Noura Andréa A.

Yelp
Nothing I write will be able to describe how delicious this place is. Nothing. I didn't really know what to expect going in. I've had tapas before. But not like this. I've had nothing like this. Sit at the bar around the kitchen, and take a look at what the 2 chefs are doing. It's impressive. Intricate. Delicate. Fresh. It's beautiful. Each tapas is around 7-8 Euros. You would take about 2 or 3. I can't exactly tell you what I took, as their menu changes everyday and every season. But they are quite eccentric flavors. Seriously. Give it a go. Vegetarians, rejoice! There's plenty of food for us!
google avatar

Denise M.

Yelp
This was one of my favorite places in Paris. It is tiny but people seem are nice for being crammed in a small place. No issues with people moving when you need to get through. I went with a group of 6 and we had the tiny booth in the back which was a stroke of luck. It is a little pricy but I thought it was worth the money. I loved the "fish no chips with black mayo", the cheese platter (if you ask they will bring bread), the BBQ ribs and tempura broccoli. Our server also spoke English which was nice since our French is basically pointing and frantically looking in the French/English book. I'll be back for sure.

Cee B.

Yelp
Amazing food, and a very lively and fun atmosphere! So good that we went here twice in one day.

Mario D.

Yelp
Freddy's is always fun! Packed and lively!!!! After a short wait we were seated at the bar. A nice young gentleman took our wine and food order. Unfortunately, he left shortly after that and the service dropped precipitously the rest of the evening. The young woman behind the bar ignored us completely. I got her attention numerous times as she passed and she would say " one moment", only to continue ignoring us. I finally had enough, stood up and asked for the check....when she finally gave me a look. Too bad, as we were trying to order more wine, but I wasn't going to be ignored and put up with her "attitude".... The night went from 5 stars to 3 stars because of the lack of service.

Yelp
Loved this place - my favorite now in Paris. I was greeted by Hannah with warmth and kindness. The food was fantastic. Great people, great vibe. So thankful for the recommendation from Dianne on my flight from the Bay Area.

Charlene B.

Yelp
We stopped here for wine and small plates before dinner at Semilla which is next door. The wait staff were pleasant and helpful. The wine most enjoyable as was the olive tapenade we had as an appetizer. Crowded but accommodating. Will come back to Freddy's for sure!
google avatar

Phoebe L.

Yelp
Not a huge wine list but what's on it is good. The staff are pretty good at recommending something so don't be afraid to ask them. Lots of small tapas plates with super fresh ingredients- not just cheese and terrines. Think small grilled lamb skewers, green bean salads, croquets etc. A great place to order little bits as you go. You may end up perching against a small tabled wall but it makes the place more social and adds to the atmosphere. If you do get a seat it will be a stool around the edge of the bar or at the bar. And most of all: great staff. They really made our visit!
google avatar

Patricia H.

Yelp
Pretty good small shareable portions of good (not amazing) foods. We ordered 'fish no chips' where the fish was ver very good, the batter not so much, then a slab of sliced skirt steak that we liked; the hummus looked good next to us; keep in mind there are no tables just counter eating and drinking. We liked it here, very friendly staff but if you arrive after 7 you may not find a place to sit. Good luck!

Yelp
Fantastic and we found it by mistake because other places were closed in August. Now we will go there every time we are in Paris!

H. Stephen B.

Yelp
Some friends invited us out for drinks while we were in Paris. It sounded intriguing. The reviews were all great, so we went in with great expectations. Especially after a long day of touristing. We were not disappointed. There four of us. So we shared five tapas. And the tapas were ample enough to share. And, wow, what great flavors! We had a roasted pumpkin dish, sautéed, Korean mushrooms, a beet salad, fish-no-chips, and breast of duck. We also ordered a kalamata spread. And we ended it with a cheese selection. Tres magnifique! Everything was delicious and accompanied by excellent bread. The service was a little slow, but understandable as it was very crowded, despite being a slow night. Our waitress said that on busy nights it is standing room only, with a line out the door. And I believe her. It's just that good. The only fly in the ointment is that they have only one beer on tap. But it's a very small fly, because their beer is a good lager. Their wine selection is huge and excellent. Even more, the place is a bargain. The four of us had all that food, four glasses of wine, and six beers - all for 122 euros. If you find yourself in Paris, get over to Rue de Seine and wait in line for Freddy's. You will not be disappointed!

Colin M.

Yelp
Everything we ate here was excellent. Both the vegetarian and meat tapas were excellent. Busy atmosphere. Get there early but the wait is well worth it.
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
Just check out my photos, it looks great and taste even better. And for the vegetarians, there were 5 interesting options along with the standard olive, eggplant etc. That earns them the 5th star imho. Oh and deserts also amazing!

Yelp
the food here is so amazing that i want to put this review in all caps. but i won't. anyway. i could eat here everyday. five stars for sure.

Yelp
Food was amazing and atmosphere was just was we was looking for. Small tapas dishes all above expectation - def worth trying out! Small tapas place - small tables but perfect! No english menu but waiters happy to translate and explain

This is a review from the last time I was in Paris, which was also the first time I was in Paris. Two years ago. That's how good Freddy's is. I stumbled on it during a perfectly Parisian ramble through Saint Germain dés Prés. Perched at the bar, I asked to be surprised. The glass of Yves Leccia LÎle de Beauté Blanc "Biancu Gentile"that appeared before me was a revelation. (Yes, it's been two years and I still remember the wine.) The Corsican character was indelible. The wine tasted of sea breezes and caramel. It had legs for days.... This was a white wine with body and presence, unlike any other I had ever had. The wine was so good that when I returned to New York City, I posted a plea on Twitter for a connection to a wine seller that carried this bottle. You're in Paris. You'll have good wine. But at Freddy's, you'll drink wines that will have you saying "Oh yes... I discovered this wine when I was in Paris..."
