Good beer, ok indoor area but nice outdoor seating.

Having been here a few times I can confidently say it's one of the best breweries in the area, enough so that I drive 45 minutes to visit when I want a good beer. Great selection on tap and to take home and the brewery itself is actually really spacious. Food trucks have always been around when I've visited (no kitchen on site) and the staff is super friendly as well.

I went there for Sour Sunday in August. I like that the flights are only ten dollars, but cheap lager types may think that is a lot of money for a small amount of beer. I generally enjoyed all the sours I tried, but I would rate the best at about 7.5 out of 10. They had food trucks lined up in the street, and it was nice to have food to go along with the beer. Just make sure you put your own trash in the trash can. I got a dirty look from a waitress when she was collecting glasses and I put my trash on her tray. Oopsie. It was a nice day and it was nice that there was outdoor seating to enjoy it. The inside seemed nice enough. The bathroom was clean. I am looking forward to going back.

Google
My wife and I are from Cincinnati, where an unreal amount of micro breweries are being established, and we think this place is way ahead of the pace for a brewery only 5 years old. The beer has been refined to perfection and the atmosphere is very friendly. The only reason this didn't get a perfect review is because they need to have an oven that makes food. Then this place would be perfect. Something for everyone in a brewery that is well put together. Very nice!

I had a blast at Free Will Brewing Co. on Saturday with a group of friends. Right out of the gate, you’ll know the quality of their craft beers. It's not often that you find a brewery where every beer you try is a winner, but Free Will Brewing Co. nailed it. We tried a variety of their beers, and there wasn't a bad one in the bunch. Whether you're a fan of IPAs or lagers, you'll find something that you’ll like. My friends and I lucked out with perfect weather. We sat outside, sipping on our crafties, while listening to some music on an iPhone at our table. It felt like we had our own little beer garden outside. Adding to the vibe, there was a BBQ food truck out front that smelled great. (But we ate before we got there.) The crowd was a mix of young to middle-age, everyone seemed to be having a great time. Some people even brought their dogs along. Many people, like us, left with 4-packs of their favorite brews, a testament to the quality of their beer. The outdoor area out front had a variety of tables and seating and was topped off with fire pits, making it a cool spot to hang with friends when the sun goes down. We saw a few locals stopping by on foot, coming out of the side streets. This is definitely the local spot grab to grab a beer. Inside its plenty big for gatherings with friends or having a party. The walls featured the artwork of the beer cans, which gave the place a touch of artsy atmosphere, a little reminiscent of the Fillmore in San Francisco with its concert posters on the walls. Whether you're looking to hang out and drink a beer there or grab a 4-pack of crafties to enjoy at home, you won't be disappointed. All the craft beers we tried were great, it had a comfortable atmosphere, and cool crowd to make this brewery a must-visit place. Cheers to Free Will Brewing Co. for delivering a fun afternoon, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to craft beer and casual beer drinkers alike.

Google
Great atmosphere...I'm not an IPA girl and some of the samples were rough...loved the juice money though. Great service and food truck on premise for great German eats (the night we were there) not sure about other dates and times. Here's our sampler ..

Google
Great brewery with an excellent and diverse selection of house-brewed beers. Check the website for the food truck schedule. Try a flight in the taproom to find your favorite. All of the beers on tap and a few others are available as cans to go.

Google
Drinks are poor. They have food trucks. They get some good bands and there is a dance floor, no cover.

Yelp
Stopped in after a visit to a much less friendly tap room down the street and had a great time! The service was friendly and fast, the beer is tasty (Garcia's Forest is a really juicy IPA), and the venue was full of folks chatting, playing cards, and relaxing. Will be back!

Yelp
The beer is always high quality from Free Will and they have a style for everyone. Best to go here on a weeknight. It is packed on weekends, not busy, like 100% capacity. Good ambiance on the slower nights.

Heather M.

Yelp
Clean & spacious area! Plenty of parking. The girls working were very friendly, sweet, and accommodating. Their beers were amazing + it was nice that they offered a cocktail menu. They do have certain days where food trucks will come out. Great hang out space !!

Yelp
Free Will beers are undeniably stellar. Maybe best to be enjoyed at home or off premise. I was disappointed in my recent Friday night visit. I'm typically a fan of chill brewery scenes, and Free Will was wild. It was loud with country music, packed with babies and youngsters and actually smelled like diaper as well. That's great for those looking for a family friendly atmosphere, but I was looking for a place to enjoy adult beverages. I'll obviously still buy Free Will beers, but I'll pass on in person visits in the future.

Yelp
From a recommendation, my friend and I decided to try Free Will Brewing up in Perkasie. We both had never been here before but heard really good things about it!! I tried the Cosmic Friend, which was a triple IPA, and the midnight Garden, which was a nitro Porter. Both of these beers were super smooth! The cosmic friend was very strong at 10% and really bitter due to the hops, and the midnight garden wasn't super thick and went down really easily. My friend had the place of raspberries and the blueberry mash (not pictured) but both which were fantastic. The blueberry mash actually ended up being my favorite because it reminded me of a smoothie sour, which is a thicker sour! But both of them didn't taste like alcohol at all, and tasted more like a juice! The vibes here were amazing and I highly recommend coming here, even if it is a little of a drive

Yelp
Since the days of Mike with the Chucks down in the basement, been going here, and boy Dom, you and partners have been awesome since! Best brewery around, great food trucks and atmosphere, although I miss the rolling Bar and Dixie cups and walking down into the dungeon, show what passion you guys have ! Nice job on the stage Dom!

Yelp
I like Free Will. The Imperial Stout was a bit Viscous but i liked it.
google avatar

Katrina L.

Yelp
Free Will is a great spot to enjoy fantastic beers. Unfortunately, we came on a day without a food truck, but they did have a few small snacks to purchase. You can get a flight of four 5 oz pours for $10. We tried their four imperial stouts on draft (ranging from 10-12% ABV!) - I rarely find a brewery with one or two stouts I enjoy, let alone four! The caramel chocolate cookie was my absolute favorite, followed closely by the peanut butter chocolate (but honestly the peppermint chocolate and fun sized beers were great too!) For our full sized pours (the stouts are boozy - and we needed to pace ourselves!), we opted for the Kragle, an excellent West Coast IPA and the Winter Waltz (wheat with orange peel and cinnamon). I was happy with every beer we tried and brought home a four pack of the Kragle. Looking forward to returning!

Yelp
Free Will ranks among my top 3 favorite breweries - and that says a lot, as I basically spend every weekend trying new beers in new spots. The brews are unique, balanced, and flavorful. There is always an incredible selection of beers on draft, as well as great options in cans and bottles to-go. They don't have a kitchen, but I have been blessed with the presence of the incredible food truck G'Day Gourmet during both visits. I love the sours and IPAs, often mixed with obscure fruits or flowers (think paw-paw and chamomile). Free Will has many high ABV beers - drink responsibly! They offer plentiful parking in the back, with lots of space indoors to socially distance and enjoy your beers. They have wine, cider, and sodas for those not fond of hops, and they occasionally have live music, if you're into that sort of thing. It's never been too busy during our visits, and the bartenders are always masked up.

Yelp
It's a cool place! Mango wheat is the best to try. Customer service was pleasant. Lots of choices and varieties. Would definitely come back and try others next time
google avatar

Yelp
Bad service. Average beer. Very big scene for kids. Not anybody over 21. I've never actually had somebody serving me act so rudely and on multiple occasions.

Kim H.

Yelp
Beer choices are great. Line for drinks was long. Neat brewery. Friendly crowd, with lots of regulars. One food truck with very long lines and I thought slow service.
google avatar

Hannah K.

Yelp
We love free will! Awesome rotating selection of food trucks and a lot of variety in their beers. Awesome spot to hang for dinner or just stop in for some beers!
google avatar

Kristin N.

Yelp
This was on par with Troeg's. They have something for everyone and every beer we tried was awesome. Hubs is a hop head (that's a nice bit of alliteration, right there ) and enjoyed a tasty flight of IPAs. He followed that up with a delicious coffee infused stout and a very uniquely flavored beer that tasted like a cookie- I can never taste notes in beer, but make it taste like a cookie and boy, am I spot on. I really only like sours and was excited to have a flight of all sours. The cuvée was amazing- 2 years spent in an oaked Chardonnay barrel. Food is courtesy of Tre food truck. Their cheese plate was one of the best I've had; hubs liked his chicken salad sliders. They offered free tours but we passed. Staff were all very friendly. Look forward to going back!

Yelp
Went here the other night with friends and had a pretty good time. I'm not a huge fan of beer so my review is a little biased. I did like that they did offer wine from a local vineyard which is what I chose to drink while my friends got beer. The pour could have been a little more generous. I do also wish they had ciders. There was lots of seating but it was a little squishy and not the most comfortable - the cafeteria style seating I mean. The floors were also wet all over and my jacket got stained a really weird color after falling on the floor. I do like that they have food trucks and some snacks, but they could expand their snacks a little more or their non- beer options. They did have a water station which was nice. The staff was super friendly and very prompt when clearing glasses. It's a good place to go to if you like beer but I've been to other breweries that were a little bit nicer.

Yelp
Great place to relax and unwind. Come in for a pour out buy a flight. Sit at the bar or sofas in the back. Want a table? There are tables for you and your group too. Want to walk around with your cup as you peruse the Village, just ask for it to go and they're great at that too. Now for their stars, the beers... Solid beers. Defending on your preference, you can order whatever suits your taste. If you're in a quandary, just ask them and they'll give you solid advice.

Meg C.

Yelp
Tried 3 of their IPAs and liked them all. Service very friendly. Got sandwiches (one chicken and one burger) from food truck outside (Cast Iron Creations) which was AMAZING. Will be back. Wanna stop by when they have live music.
google avatar

Shauna D.

Yelp
I was there with my husband yesterday. Leah was so awesome! I'm pretty well versed in beer but she answered all questions I had. She was very personable and did a great job! Keep it up girl you're doing great:)
google avatar

Yelp
I moved literally down the street from this establishment, we stop in regularly for drinks. Service is mostly meh, especially when I go in on my own. I get treated like a nuisance or an underage college kid looking to get drunk. I know my voice is very childish and high pitched, but I'm 24, people! (Maybe I'll write a note for the male bartender that legit tells me they don't have a beer, then upon me persisting, says they just have it in a can. Thanks for bothering to specify that immediately, dude). Aside from the sub-par treatment, the beer is always incredible and so worth the gassy aftermath. Food trucks here are also crazy good. A Perkasie staple, and a customer service let down. Cheers!
google avatar

Erica W.

Yelp
I've been here twice now and have enjoyed both visits. We see their beer on tap once in a while on Long Island. The space and staff are super friendly! Beers are great. They know how to execute each style very well. And there's lots of try. Free will is perfect for those looking to try new things or who are looking to see the quality PA has to offer. Don't miss the sour bottles on your way out! There are always a few gems in there.

Yelp
We stopped here on the way to the Poconos and was impressed! The brewery was easy to find and we came on a Friday and they have Food Trucks every weekend. We came when Hai Street Sushi Burritos was there and it was delicious! It was clean here and plenty of seating. We got flights here, $10 each. You are able to write down the beers you want on a clip board and then you give the paper to someone working. My favorites were the Tencho IPA, Mango Wheat, and the Sour Ale. I tried the Irish Stout but didn't love it. Boyfriend tried all the same beers I did but he also got the Mango habanero beer which was very spicy. (we did ask someone there and they said it wasn't spicy at all, WHAT A LIAR). We'd come back here if we were in the area, it sucks living far away from good PA breweries!

Yelp
Hey had an IPA a couple of weeks ago at Sellersville Theater. And it was really effing good, no shit. So I called up to find out what beer it was that I was drinking, turned out to be Free Will Techno. So, tonight I drove over to the Free Will Pub in Lahaska, PA for a couple of tastes. I figured it out that I was drinking an IPA called Techno, and it was on tap in Lahaska. Definitely the same beer they were serving at Sellersville. Jeez, this Techno is really good. Slightly hoppy, but more of a balanced mouth feel with a bit of sweetness. This was good, and I'm gonna start taking it home. Clean place, really cool decor. Bartlender Nicholas good guy. Definitely going back again for more. Free Will is a brewer you have to take seriously. If you think life is too short to drink all the great beers, this is a pub you have to go to. Have fun, see you there.

Yelp
I feel like this place is one of the OG's of local micro breweries. When I first came here, around 2 years ago, it was great. Recently, I feel like it lost its special touch. I was not a fan of the beers I had. And they had a food truck outside that sold meat pies...one of the worst pies Ive ever had in my entire life. They were dry and the filling tasted like it came from a can. I understand that the truck isn't free wills fault BUT Im wondering if they taste the food prior to inviting the truck to their property. Also, the beer menu had no description of what kind of beer each one is. For example, it doesnt say if the beer is an IPA, a witbier, a wheat ale, etc. I dont want to have to hold up the long line at the counter by asking about each one. There are a lot more local breweries now. Free Will needs to up their game and fix a few minor details if they want to rise above their competition.
google avatar

Yelp
Located in Perkasie, this is craft brewery that from time to time, also has food trucks available to dine, while enjoying beer. A very clean establishment, that has tables inside and picnic tables outside. Amazing art, along the walls. A very family friendly place. Recently, they had their Annual Oktoberfest, with food trucks and their annual glass beer mug (for purchase). They have a good variety of their own beers. Parking is wrapped around the building and along the street. Their beer is also available to purchase, to take home. If you like beer, this is a must try place.

Sarah S.

Yelp
We were visiting the area and looking for a place to get a bite to eat: low and behold we saw a food truck on the street.. menu sounded good to us. Placed our order Then noticed it was parked outside this brewery. So popped inside and bought a couple glasses of their mango wheat beer. Smooth and yummy. Came back outside and drank and ate at the outdoor picnic tables and enjoyed our evening! Good vibes all around.

Yelp
Been meaning to check this place out for a while. At first it seemed like they did mostly sours but saw the Cara Cara DIPA (and I love the double IPAs, Dirt Wolf, I'm looking at you) and had to make the trip up. Almost 10% ABV but very drinkable. I did visit two weeks in a row to also pick up their Mango Wheat (~5% ABV, amazingly EASY to drink) so it definitely gets two thumbs up from me.
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
We finally got down here and I'm so glad we came. Free Will makes great beer and the brews at the brewery were all delicious. The flights are cheap and very generous and you can order as many as you'd like (great for our group who loves to try everything available). They have food outside via a food cart and it's just a great time coming here. I've heard it gets super busy at times, but we were lucky to be here during an off peak time. I highly recommend coming here!
google avatar

Amy A.

Yelp
I love this brewery. It's your typically cement floor, no frills brewery with the local food trucks on the weekends. But their beers are fabulous. I've gone to Sour Sundays and the most recent trip they were tapping some rare beers and I tried their Quad Ella. It was so good!! I think $10 per bottle is a bit steep, but I bought 2, and like a fine bottle of wine, I'm saving for a special occasion. This is a very family friendly place, especially in the summer. You can sit outside on the picnic tables, grab some food, and enjoy a beautiful day. They also have some games inside. I've seen families there on every visit.

Jay G.

Yelp
Hard to beat. I have yet to find a beer from these folks I don't like. They are truly masters of craft beer. Awesome place and tasty brews.
google avatar

Yelp
For a small brewery retail shop located in Peddlers Village, Bucks County PA this place is really not bad at all. There's a comfortable back room to just chill for friends and family with relaxed seating. A small bar for sampling and plenty of tables and chairs around. Most importantly their beer is surprisingly good and IMO ranks better than anything in Lambertville or New Hope, including Triumph and Great Barn. It's excellent, but just remember this is a place for beer not for drink and nosh. If you're in this area, stop in and try a pint. For non beer lovers there are plenty of shops and restaurants around to enjoy within walking distance, this is a win win - try Free Will I don't think you'll be disappointed. The actual brewery is in Perkasie PA - beer is good try it.

Lauren G.

Yelp
Came here for the first time with about 5 friends. We all ordered flights to sample as much of the menu as we could. Many of the beers were far better than others I've had at breweries. So many great selections. Highly recommend their tart & funky beers. All the strawberry ones were fantastic and easy to drink. The atmosphere is great and outdoor seating is nice. Great place to catch up with friends or hang out. Went on a Thursday from 7-9pm and the place was full.
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
Love what they do at Free Will. Great beer. Lots of cool options for drinkers of all different styles, including those looking for something unique, like habanero flavored beer with serious heat. I loved the M.A.C., Mango Wheat, Destiny's Wit, and When Doves Cry. I'm also a big fan of the family friendly environment. This weekend we took our son for the first time. I was a little hesitant about bringing him to a brewery as a newborn, but the place was literally packed with babies, toddlers, and children, and their parents enjoyed a relaxing drink in the afternoon. The picnic style seating and games promote this very well. Also loved that they sometimes have food trucks parked out front and you're welcome to bring food in to enjoy with your drink. My only knock would be the tasting price of $10. It's a larger tasting for sure, but it costs the same as a growler fill ($10 is an awesome, maybe the best, growler price going). Not a big problem at all, just a little bit of a head scratcher. With a few breweries in the area, I would definitely say this is my favorite in terms of beer, prices, and the location/facility. Worth a visit beer drinkers.
google avatar

Muke S.

Yelp
Can I offer no stars? We were never served. Wife and I sat at the little bar next to take-out, for fifteen minutes, the bartender with blonde hair and her partner were busy, so we were patient. At minute 16, the bartender checked her phone in front of us- never recognizing our presence, kinda hard to do..... but she skillfully avoided eye contact the full 16.5 minutes. Cheers...... off we go to somewhere we will be served.
google avatar

Michael T.

Yelp
Amazing brewery. They are very good at what they do. It's been fun watching them adapt over the past 7 years we have lived here. My favorite selections... Safe word. Ralphius. Chasing the dragon. Ride down the five. And did I mention Safe Word?!! Awesome vibe and great hangout.
google avatar

Ken H.

Yelp
Atmosphere is nice. Couches and high tops to sit at and hang out. TV yes. Beers are excellent. They also have some cider too. I tried a flight of four different offerings. Each one was excellent. They have snacks too. No food but you can bring in your own if you want to eat there while you drink your brew. Great location. Super cozy. Oh by the way you can get a plastic cup and you can walk around Peddlers Village with your beer. Now that makes shopping so much nicer!!!!

Dan Z.

Yelp
Hands down. Best beer and bartenders in bucks. Great atmosphere. Awesome brews. Good food trucks. Ample parking. They also seem to give a damn about their people, which is nice.
google avatar

Marc F.

Yelp
Came here with my lady friend and her family the day before Christmas Eve for a couple pints before dinner. I've heard great things about this brewery, and boy, did it live up to expectations. I ordered the Ralphius. Heavy stout. $6 for a 6oz pour. Well worth it to warm up your bones. Definitely coming back next time we're in town.
google avatar

Leah T.

Yelp
Cool establishment with lots of seating. This brewery felt like the spot for locals as many brought in their own snacks. I was told this place is similar to the weyerbacher brewery, but did not find the resemblance. Lots of sours and IPAs with limited darker beers.
google avatar

Neen P.

Yelp
Consistently awesome beer...very chill atmosphere. ..bartenders who know what they are pouring...this place is the bees knees! Fabulous IPAs and really reasonable growler fills, don't forget your growler. Make sure to get the flights, 4 generously poured samples for $10. It's a great way to taste them all and not commit to one! Be forwarned, I have found that many of their beers have pretty high abv's....bring a DD :)
google avatar

Ronald W.

Yelp
Had a great time visiting. My friend who lives near there tells me that their beer is great and they were spot on. It was great sitting on the picnic tables among the beer making equipment and the barrel aging racks. One down point; the Safeword was a bit too much. I found the habanero was a bit too distracting from the taste of this ale. However, the bar staff was kind enough to swap it out for a C. O. B., which was a much better selection for me. Took a Blood and Guts sour ale home with me and can't wait to take that for a spin. I would recommend The Kragle and Ralphius as they were my favorites of the visit.
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
Stopped in here today for the Sour Sunday event. So did EVERYONE else! The large space was very crowded and busy, but bartenders did a pretty good job of cranking out flights, and their fill-your-own-flight-sheet-while-you-wait-in-line system is pretty clever, especially on these busy days! We tried 8 beers, and about half were really terrific. The other half were alright, not bad, but nothing that stood out as exceptional. I'd like to try this spot again on a less-crowded day to really get a feel for their beers.
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
Beer is simply awesome, I highly recommend a visit to Perkasie and check these guys out. BTW! Sarah who worked behind the bar was friendly and help us with selecting the right beers to try.

Ruth R.

Yelp
Was excellent. Deserving of the score, great beer, service, and ambiance. Really liked the sour apple and Techno.
google avatar

Erin M.

Yelp
Huge fan of free will! Fun atmosphere, pleasant service and great beer! I enjoyed their Lemon Gose the best! They have indoor and outdoor seating, with a huge, well lit, inside brewing room that you are also allowed to sit in! They have about a half dozen Jenga sets, that are signed and illustrated by patrons free to play. They also have regular food truck visits! It is nestled right in the town of Perkasie. Highly recommend if you're nearby!
google avatar

Mia W.

Yelp
Yummy beer and accommodating, down to earth staff. Fam friendly and food truck frequent, love it here. Free Will does not disappoint. GO!!
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
I love, love, love Free Will. We live right down the street so it's easy to drop by to have a flight or a pint. They have tables outside so we can bring the kids and they love to play in the grass while we have a drink. They don't serve food so you can bring whatever you want, snacks or takeout from The Perk. They do have food trucks usually Thursday through Sunday so you can grab a bite there. They are really reasonably priced as well. Flights are $10 and you can usually fill a small growler for $5.
google avatar

Hong L.

Yelp
A pretty nice brewery, but I really wish the beers here were better. I have had a couple of their brews here in Brooklyn (look for the Cuvee Augre!) We ordered two flights, and unfortunately were very underwhelmed by 5 of the 8 beers we ordered. The highlights were the Kriek Lambic, Big Berliner, and the Grape sour. All were nice and tart and interesting takes on the style. A few of their beers were pretty big misses. The Gose was pretty awful. I am still convinced that they gave us the Grolsch, but the bartender actually said that the Gose did not meet their expectations, which probably means they should have just drained the batch. The other beers need some more body to them. I do hope that Free Will does well. There is some potential there.
google avatar

Jeremy W.

Yelp
The only thing that I would improve is to add a restaurant to the bar. Their beers are crafted with love and it shows. They have a wide variety that changes with the season and they are not afraid to try new and strange things. It is excellent.
google avatar

Robert P.

Yelp
Drove here from Philly to check out a local brewery. Not sure it was worth the drive. I appreciated that it was just a brewery and not a brew pub. Very loud space since it was all metal and concrete. Lots of sours and IPAs. Beers were above average for the most part but didn't find a beer I loved.
