Google
I just go go go, so I didn’t stop and check what time Freebirds open on Google. I just noticed their website lets you place an order for whatever time, earliest was 10am, so I placed it for then. I live 2 minutes away, I didn’t need to search up where it’s at and therefore wasn’t shown the hours until I walked up to pick up the order where it states 10:30 on the door. I felt bad, and an employee came in early just to do my order. I appreciate that a lot because I wouldn’t be able to pick up the order any later for my company. There’s even another order I placed for delivery because one is gluten free and that one had a limit as the earliest availability to deliver being 11:15am. I do suggest they fix the website on editing the times they allow pickup to be, but besides that - I am really grateful! Food was gooood 🙂‍↕️

Google
Got me and my boyfriend’s food doordashed and it was horrible. My burrito was missing items and was 90% rice. The bottom of the burrito was all guacamole and overcooked rice. I’ve genuinely never been so disappointed in my life with this place. I never leave reviews, but I shouldn’t be paying $20+ for a burrito for it to be sloppily made just because I wasn’t there to physically see it be made.

Google
as much hate as this place tends to receive they still treat you with the freebirds attitude that always keeps me hungry for a burrito and christina is always the sweetest when it comes to handling customers. While there's still a chipotle around the corner the staff there are usually too busy to seem to care unlike these guys.

Google
Sad looking taco. This was an order ahead placed for pickup. At first I thought this was a kids portion. This is the regular taco. Spoke with Jaden the manager and he confirmed they are cutting back on portion size

Google
This particular location is taking a page out of Chipotle’s cheat book—tiny scoops, big prices, and zero shame. I ordered the biggest burrito on the menu and got one lonely scoop of each ingredient. When I asked for more, I was told it would cost extra. Extra? For a burrito that’s already half tortilla and broken dreams? Nah. If I wanted to feel scammed, I’d go to Chipotle. I've always been a die hard a freebirds girl, but won’t be back to this location. Do better.

Google
I typically love freebirds. But this location is not it. The cleanliness, hygiene and service was sadly poor. The food bench was dirty. They couldn’t even bother to wipe up the dried beef and sauce that had clearly been there for a while. The dude that made my bowl asked me what I wanted while drinking from an open cup and only changed one glove, no hand washing before the one new glove either. The food was okay but was a bit stale. And my husbands burrito fell apart after two bites. Now if it was only one of these issues I wouldn’t make a review. But all of these makes this location bad

Google
This is hands down the most disgusting Freebirds location I've been to. I have given this location several chances and every time has been terrible. The food never seems to be fresh, the rice is under cooked and crunch, and is overly salty. If you live in the area and want Freebirds, take the time to drive into Austin.

Google
Ordered a monster burrito and that thing was the tiniest burrito I have ever seen. Guess it was my mistake not checking it before I left . And you'd think they'd let you make your own drinks when you pick it up but nope got me a watered down coke with my tiny ass burrito

Yelp
Food is meh as it was many years ago. Confirms why I hadn't been there in years. Young people serving were awesome.

Yelp
Lovely addition to the Hays County dining scene! Truth be told I ate at Freebirds years ago (various locations) and then never went back. Not for any specific reason; just new restaurants popped up and I went there instead? Perhaps it was a waistline thing; they make some big azz burritos! GF and I were doing some work over in Bee Cave and decided to use my phone to order lunch on the way back to the ranch. New restaurant in my parts; huge lines! We in fact showed up before our food was made. Ran in and out a few times; order finally ready. Took the grub back to the truck parked in the fire zone with a 20ft trailer attached and chowed down. Judgey Boston Terrier looking on I opened the foil laden Freebird size burrito. I'm eying the half bird for the next visit... Slow roasted pork, spicy cayenne tortilla, cilantro lime rice, refried beans, cheese, peppers/onions, guacamole, pico, cilantro, sour cream, and creamy jalapeno. Ate about 90 percent of it; even sampled some of my GF's sauces. She ordered a bowl with similar tasty results. Official review: perhaps a bit too much rice. Otherwise, it was friggin' awesome. Prices were decent; we rolled out of that fire zone with enough carbs in us to build an NFL stadium. Thanks Freebirds for taking a chance in a new market.

Yelp
Ate here a day or two ago, one man making food was nice and greeted us and smiled. Another girl making food didn't smile and acted very robotic and only smiled at the very end when she saw we gave her a tip. The food was good but outrageously expensive. We paid $65 after the $5 tip, for two bowls and a taco..... When we ordered the taco, she automatically made it a meal without even asking, causing it to suddenly be $9.00.... for a small taco with no sides and a juice.... Ridiculous.... We ended up sitting outside to eat and the outside patio was nice and the food had good flavor. Was it worth $60? No, could have made it at home for that price..... However, as it was still good food, I hear they have decently good ingredients and the man working there was nice, I'll keep it 4 stars.

Yelp
I was driving through and starving! We ate here and loved it. Thanks for the great meal. If you're trying to decide between this and chipotle (the way we were) then I recommend going with this option. The service is good too. Two of us had the prime rib monster bowl and recommend it

Yelp
Have mobile ordered from here many times... has never once been ready on time or even within 10 minutes of when it says it should be ready. They will ask you your name and then say "it will be a little bit" and then not even start on your order and help the walk instead.

Yelp
after eating a cold steak burrito with a tiny amount of meat for 14$ i realized I was eating little 4 inch strips of plastic mixed into the guacamole- macro plastics in food not good

Yelp
The food is pretty good. I had a steak burrito and my wife had a veggie bowl (with free guacamole). It's costing $10-12 now; so it's no longer the great deal it was. It's not as good as Cabo Bobs. But it's close and convenient and fast service. The place is pretty nice.

Yelp
Had 3 experiences with Freebirds in Kyle, all resulted in excellent food and a nap. 2 times i stopped by and picked up the monster burrito, which is truly a monster. You build your own, so you have to like it based on what you put in it. Same applies to the one delivery I rec'd from them. All were excellent, each burrito was huge and should have been 2 meals, but were not. all three resulted in naps. Careful with the peppers. Their idea of a green pepper in a burrito is bell pepper. I do not recommend. All else is to die for. Not cheap, but very satisfying.

Yelp
Freebirds locations in other states tend to be pretty good. When I moved to Austin, I expected the same, but the consistency simply isn't there. This location is one of the very worst. It's dirty. Poorly managed, and the service is absolutely terrible. When you go here, you were made to feel as if the team member is put out to help you make a burrito. I just went to this location to order a burrito, and when the young lady who put it together made somewhat of a mess, wrapping it, dropping some of the protein on the counter, she proceeded to scoop it up back into the burrito after it touched the dirty counter. I just spent $18 for a burrito that I'm not gonna eat. Pretty disgusting. The funny part is that if I had worked for the health department, and saw her scoop up the inside of my burrito off of the counter, and served it to me, this place will be shut down.

Yelp
So this was the first time we ever ate at a Freebirds world burrito. And let me tell you, it's pretty cool. The decor is very fresh and airy. It has a counter order style like a chipotle or a Jersey Mike's. You have your choice of steak, chicken, pork, or vegetarian meals. They serve burritos, bowls, nachos, salads, and tacos. The staff is extremely friendly, and you get to pick whatever you want to put in to make it a custom meal. I chose the fajita white chicken burrito with Spanish rice. Now let me tell you, the freebird burrito is humongous! My wife selected the fajita white chicken bowl which was also very tasty. You get to pick your sauces in order to make it taste the way you want it. We both chose their frozen margaritas, but be careful when you drink these things so that you don't get the ice cream headache. They were delicious. All in all I'd say this restaurant was a great option for lunch or dinner. So if you're ever up in Dripping Springs, Texas give this place a try. You won't be disappointed. We give it five stars.

Yelp
I love Freebirds. This is specific to this location - ordered via Doordash tonight. Got a burrito that was about 20% smaller than normal. It seemed to be missing the hot tomatillo sauce, the guacamole (which is extra $) and the sour cream - or there was so little on there I couldn't tell. Also ordered some bean and cheese tacos for the kids and they had the smallest amount of beans on them and zero cheese (see pictures). My older kid wouldn't eat hers. These tacos are $4+ each and were pathetic.

Yelp
Just tried the new freebirds in dripping springs. It was probably my last time going to this establishment at this location. Service was just horrendous, and the food handling was disgusting. After wiping his fave and head with his apron, he kept the didn't change gloves before making the person in front of us their food. They threw away about 10 tortillas due to an error in melting the cheese. There was zero teamwork with the workers it was more like a free for all. Soda machine was flat. Hopefully they get it together.

Yelp
Very solid service and food quality. My wife and I were passing through and decided to stop in (Sunday at 11:30am). Looking at the yelp reviews I was a bit hesistant. I used to go to Freebirds often in my college and younger days but don't live close to one now, so was fond of all my other food experiences there. But I can say the experience was great overall. Staff was friendly and the food was really good. Bit of sticker shock at the price but that's also relative to when I was 22 and only spent $8-10 on a meal. I suppose 2 people with drinks and sides can be $40 but just needed to recalibrate in 2023 . I would definitely recommend and will stop in next time I'm passing through again. Convenient location off of 290 so I'm glad I noticed it.

Yelp
we have been Freebirds fans for years! We were excited when we were getting one in Dripping Springs! we have given this location our last try! We've tried when they first opened and it was horrible! The service was poor and the quantity of food has drastically reduced. We chalked it up to being new but it hasn't gotten any better! Today we gave them another try and things have gotten worse! The food looks so overcooked and not fresh at all! The soda machine was out of several options and when we asked they just said they are out. We sat outside and our daughter wanted to play bean bags on the boards they have outside! When we asked for bean bags they said they didn't have any! Then why have bean bag boards? It's either a really poorly run location or the pandemic has really hit freebirds hard and they have made some poor decisions at the corporate office. We won't be back! We'll go just across the street to Chipotle's! We rarely leave comments but we are just so sad to see Freebirds go down hill! We hope this constructive criticism will not go unheard and the necessary changes can be made to make us a fan again!

Yelp
I've loved Freebirds for years and was pleased to see one in our area. We tried this location for the first time on Sunday evening. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, offering samples and taking care with making our food to order, and the place was nice and clean. The food was disappointing. There was only one customer there when we arrived, and the food didn't look fresh. Some of the meat looked dried out, the Spanish rice container was empty, and most everything looked like it had been sitting there all day. It was barely warm and didn't have much flavor, just didn't compare with what we've had from other Freebirds locations in the past. With so many other choices in the Belterra area, we probably won't be back. I'm giving 3 stars because the staff were so nice and professional, and the place was clean, so it seems like they're trying.

David V.

Yelp
Not sure what has gone wrong at this location. I have never been to another to compare. The staff seem miserable and the food isn't that great. Had a problem with my order last Monday We picked it up. Once again something was missing. Chips were not in the bag with my guacamole and chips that I ordered. The you lady acted like it was my fault and gave me attitude when I pointed it out. Then scraped the bin with the last of the chips. They were all broken with bits and pieces. I asked to you have any other chips besides these? She looked at me in disgust and went and retrieved more from the other side of the line. Then she forcefully stuffed them into the bag and slung them at me without a word. Never again bye bye freebird ! Corporate please don't bother offering me free chips and dip on my next visit.

Yelp
We were excited to get a Freebirds in the area. Sadly we tried twice, and both times were terrible. The first time we walked out after waiting for over 49 mins. We chalked it up that the restaurant was new, and came back a couple weeks later. This time I ordered a vegan salad, with pea protein & cauliflower rice. My bowl with no other additional add ons was $24. When I got up to pay I asked how it was so much money. No one, and I do mean no one could do math & explain it. After the third & final manager couldn't explain how a salad + pea protein + cauliflower rice = $24 I was done. Long line behind me, so I just paid & will never go back. I can make the drive to S. Austin for chipotle, or just go to Torchys. This was ridiculous. It sure as heck wasn't worth $24.

BloodLetter T.

Yelp
This Freebirds was pretty meh the first time I was here. I would've given 2 or 3 stars. Most items were out. They weren't currently cooking while I was there, proteins all looked picked over, no cooked veggies and nobody making more, but they were WAY better the last two times I went. They don't season anything, but that's all freebirds. I feel like it's mostly catered to super white bread bodunks, but this location is good for what it is. I'd give a 5 of 5 for freebirds. But a 3 of five for burritos in general. So solid 4. I'll keep picking up food here since there are no other burritoriums in the area.

Yelp
We visited the Dripping Springs location. The spotless facility impressed us. The staff interacted with us in a welcoming caring way. The Manager earned major respect for her exceptional skills - managing the staff and facility! The ambience and food locked-in a next visit. We'll definitely return!

Yelp
On Saturday afternoon, March 25th, shortly after placing my order, I heard two people both loudly say the N-word. It was absolutely appalling to hear this being a black man myself. One of them sounded like an older woman and the other sounded like a young man. Even worse, it sounded like the word came from behind the counter where I grabbed my order. This is beyond disappointing as my family and I frequently come to this location. I have never heard something so disgusting and vulgar from a restaurant that advertises itself as being family friendly. Considering that Dripping Springs is such a tight knit community, I will make sure my friends and family know of what happened and we will never ever step foot in or feel welcome in this establishment again.

R V.

Yelp
Burrito was cold. Not much flavor, just ok. Ordered a paleo bowl, no beans. It was very, very small. For $13.00, I expected a decent size portion.
