Freebirds World Burrito

I love freebirds. However, I just ordered delivery and it was 15 minutes past said delivery time. Also, I ordered a Monster Burrito, and received my whole order in side of bowl with no tortilla. HOW YOU GUNNA CALL THAT A BURRITO WHEN THERE IS NO TORTILLA. Also, I called on three different phones and every time they answered, they acted like they couldn't hear me. I literally even used a landline to call.

Excellent options to build your own unique burrito bowl. The staff is somewhat friendly but not the most courteous to everyone/ every color. After being told a few times, they will serve the exact items you asked for, and they are usually relieved if you tell them that you would tip them as you are checking out. It's a great place otherwise, lighting could be improved in the dining areas.

It may be an unpopular opinion but Freebirds is way better than Chipotle. They are close by, almost in the same parking lot. I always prefer Freebirds. Their meat and veggies are always fresher. Got a bowl and burrito (not all for me) and they were made so perfectly. The lady working took her time to make it just right, didn’t rush me like places usually do. My only regret is not getting the monster size.

Went in on Sunday at 7:00pm to get 3 tacos to go. We were professionally greeted by both members and Jordan assisted me with my order. He was courteous and efficient. Give the man a raise!

I asked the employee if he could cut my burrito in half and he said yea let me walk all the way over there pointing to the drink station and get a knife. When I said don’t worry about it he ignored me. When I said you don’t have to cut it I can do it he said I already walked all the way over there and got a knife. The food was good. The burrito was made half ass. The other employees were very pleasant.

If I could rate this location a zero I would. I walked in Sunday 7pm the store was empty and dark I thought it was closed at first. About to order when I noticed all the food looked like old dried scraps. I asked the male worker are you going to replenish anything he stated no everything is good with an attitude. I left the store immediately. I don't know how this store has a 4 rating. This is the worst location I've ever been to. The food and customer is horrible.

This place is fire 🔥. Great choices. Amazing and delicious, great portion sizes, for little more $ way better than Chipotle. Highly recommend Monster burrito and hot sauce known as a Death Sauce. Will be coming back here again

Food was cold and they skimped on the chicken. Very disappointed! The guy rushed me through the line and I forgot to add sauce. So it was also dry, so dry. The meat looks like it's been sitting there for a while.

I have to say this place was much better than I expected. Happened to stop by while passing through can't wait to come back to town and try some other items

This was my first time to Freebirds and it was great! The steak quesadillas was fresh, tasty, and very tender! The nacho's were spectacular! The ingredients weren't all in clumps, they were scattered out so that every bite was full of goodness. I've never had chopped jalapeños like these. They give a great flavor without burning your mouth. This is definitely my new go to for nachos, tacos and burritos! If Madisyn is working you're really in for a treat! I've had a stroke, and it takes me a little extra time. She's a sweetheart and was very patient with me.

We used to go to the location on MacArthur Blvd Irving TX. Sadly the food station was all dirty. Food between the containers. It looked sloppy. Not a very good look. At that time it's not like they were terribly busy. They were just Standing around waiting for the next customer to serve. Not going back. Sorry. There is absolutely no excuse for that. Restaurants suffer due to the lack of work required by the employee. Despite reviews and managers find out - this still continues. Adios

It was really good! More expensive than Chipotle, but you get a lot more food than Chipotle gives you. The staff was courteous and quick. Chairs are sort of uncomfortable but overall a good lunch spot.

I've never been in a burrito-specific situation before, but standing over the great void of uncharted southwestern Texas-Mex territory, I decided to jump. Drama aside, Freeb!rds (yes with an exclamation mark) , is genuinely impressive. Equipped with a motley panoply of diesel-punk artefacts dangling from the ceiling, Freeb!rds cultivates a distinctive style that I find both humorous and attractive. The comestibles are thoroughly customisable, meaning that a meal can conform to any flavour/dietary/allergy stipulations one might have. The employees are genial and helpful, assisting the customers with their selections.

walked in at 5pm, every employee was sitting at a table. heard one of them audibly sigh when we walked in. every ingredient was low, asked if there would be any fresh chicken because it looked very very gross and old. was told "nope this is what we got" so we walked out and will never be back after coming countless times over the years :)

$15 for an ok burrito? Prolly not, but maybe on a good day when I feel like splurging.

Volatile food poisoning. Ordered it last night. It had the ranch hand steak in it. Be weary of ordering from this specific freebirds location. I ordered through Uber eats.

I'm giving this a 3.5 to 4 star review I suppose. Ok, I've been wanting to either try a burrito here or Chipotle. I opted for here to try for my first time. I thought using their website or app in this particular case for lunch may be easier then standing in line for a custom made meal and I was going to take it back with me and not dine in. App was easy to use, signed up an paid etc. Gave me an exact time when it was ready also. What I was confused about when I entered the restaurant is "where" to pick it up. Now I saw some bags with receipts on them kind of what looks like a to go area but I sure as hell wasn't going to go nosing around and just pick my order up. Well eventually I went to the regular line and said I had a to go order, then told me where it was and a lady working at the main register asked me if mine was over there can pick it up. Well ok, now I got it. Anyways I got a monster burrito with steak, spanish rice, cilantro and pico with habanero. I was hungry and the portion size looked perfect. It better for near 15 dollars with a drink. A little pricy to say the least. I could get 2 Torchy's tacos, chips and queso and a drink for that price. I was concerned if they would be stingy on the steak. Would not be cool spending this much and not much steak but there was steak consistently in the burrito. I couldn't believe the extras you can pay for like extra steak for example...not necessary. I love habanero and it was in there but not a lot of it. I didn't want it drenched in it but could have used a little more. Also the rice was a little much. I will try again just next time will try something different, maybe a small burrito with a side. Sounded good again 4/21 tried the monster again this time with chicken, lettuce, pico, sour cream (didn't think any was in there) and cilantro rice (very good) Tried Death sauce and again like the steak one with habanero hardly any inside. Again, still good however despite some flaws.

Have not had freebird in years and the last time I remembered it, the burrito was good. This time it was a big disappointment. I ordered a chicken burrito and there was barely any meat, it was as more of a veggie burrito...really if I wanted a veggie burrito I could've gotten a salad instead. I do give them a good point for being quick with the order and having everything I asked. This did not fulfill my cravings for a fat burrito.

This is so random but we're on the Keto Diet and then having the build your own salad or bowl option worked out so well! & I know I can't believe I'm about to say this but my food from here was better than Chipotle. So T H A T was a thing. While I was eating I was already looking forward to going back and recreating another masterpiece. Haha. This is 'minor' to some but MAJOR to me - they have such a clean drink station packed with plenty of lemons and i'm a lemon addict so these things matter to little old me. I'll see you soon to recreate this moment! Xo.

I'd rather eat a burrito from Taco Bell than whatever this crap was. $55 for 2 burritos and 4 tacos. The burritos were all RICE. A few pieces of meat. Absolutely disgusting and way over priced. The second burrito was mainly black beans instead of double steak. Whoever made these needs to get their eyes checked. All around crap food.

So disappointed. I love Freebirds, but I will never come back to this location. This is the second time I suspect they served me old or spoiled food. Last time the queso had a funky smell. After I tried it, I didn't even finish it. I had a horrible stomach ache for a couple days after. This time I went with the beyond meat crumbles, which were obviously old and inedible. I'm not sure how long they must've been sitting there because I placed a pickup order. Unfortunately, I didn't discover the issues until I made it home! I didn't even finish this bowl because I was concerned about getting sick. The pinto beans are burnt! I included a picture showing a comparison of the burnt beans next to some that were prepared properly. This happens to be the closest location to me but next time I will drive further to the Arlington Highlands or the location in Hurst. I've never had any issues there. What a complete waste of money!

When we came in I was impressed by the quality of ingredients on the line, but as I had My burrito made they just plopped the scoops of what I asked for in one place instead of spreading them out evenly throughout the burrito. I think if they made the burritos better it would definitely be 5 stars. Also the burrito was literally dripping. It made a puddle. I was so grateful I hadn't taken it to go because if I had it would have been all over me.

Great food here. I like they have vegan option with beyond meat. Their food is always fresh and if it's not then they'll cook it fresh for you and it won't take long. They have a variety of toppings and price very reasonable. My favorite person here is Liezel she does everything to make sure you enjoy the food here. She will give you samples of their newest meats and sauces to make sure your bowl or burrito taste great Thanks!

I love Freebirds. Never had a bad meal there. I am a rewards member there, but I can't remember my password. I have clicked the reset password but it doesn't go to my inbox or spam. I have requested customer service inquiries and sent DMs on twitter. I haven't heard anything. I'm hoping this review will get to the right people to assist me. PS: Bring Back the prime rib.

Very disappointing experience with this location. It had been a while since we visited this location and I was reminded today that I probably should never return. The employee starts off with probably no more than a tablespoon (yes tablespoon) amount of beans on a kid's burrito that I had already explained will only have beans and cheese on it. After my 3rd time of asking the girl to put more beans on it, she tells me she won't be able to wrap it. Well, I'll let you judge if she had more room or not by looking at this pathetic bite size burrito. I am done with this location.

We went to Freebirds store in Lewisville at Vista Ridge Village with a team of 16 people. They did an awesome job of getting us through the line. They were efficient, quick, smooth, and the food was terrific! Job well done and thank you for such wonderful service!

The only reason for 4 star review is for the young lady behind the counter. I arrived and there was no one in sight to facilitate an order. I saw and heard an employee on the phone screaming and cursing on the phone... in the restaurant seating area mind you... she came from the back and asked to help me. She looked for her coworker and I told her "he's probably over there" and we both heard him yelling. Nevertheless she was very professional and helpful even though her coworker clearly let her down. I wasn't able to catch her name but she had 2 lip rings. This was Wednesday around 6 pm. Please acknowledge this above and beyond service. Exceptional customer service on her behalf, not his.

I have passed this and other freebirds over and over and never thought to try it out given I'm not a huge fan of burritos. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the food. It was very tasty and fresh and I liked the way they had the menu options setup for how to order what you want. Not a crazy extensive menu but good food including plant based options.

This is my second experience dinning. The staff is wonderful! The flavor of the food explodes in you mouth. Caleb is a wonderful employee. Thank you for Ensuring a great experience again.

Had to get out of the office on lunch and had intentions on going to Firehouse, when I saw this spot right down the walk way.. so I decided to give it go... pretty decent spot... not really busy for lunch... you get to choose your burrito size.. the flavor of the wrap and choose if you want a bowl or salad. Choose your meats or veggies for my peeps not eating meat... the staff was very friendly and welcoming.. the tomatillo sauce was surprisingly good.. I say that b/c I don't usually get it.. the hot sauce.. meh.. but overall.. good.. will go back again..

I haven't been to Freebirds in a while but glad I did last week. Steak burrito was pretty good. I got queso and chips on the side. More calories than I needed, I'll say. Service was fast and friendly. Establishment clean and tidy.

Ordered a "monster burrito" with extra meat and ended up getting a tiny burrito with barely any chicken. instead of extra chicken I got extra rice the 90% of that small burrito was rice. also ordered a burrito bowl that barely had any meat or beans in it. ordered a side of cheese and never received it. so for that I'm giving y'all 1 star, trash!!!!!

Horrible experience ever my first time ordering curbside and specifically added extra steak meat and yet I received a rice burrito. Frustrating so for everyone don't trust curbside orders just walk in to make sure they make the order correctly as asked. Now I lost my appetite .....

Driving around town and I was so hungry and I found a place that wasn't breakfast that opened at 1030. SCORE! I love the idea of Freebirds but I've always went with Chipotle because of one item...cilantro and lime rice. Freebirds' is really good, but it doesn't compare with the one from Chipotle for me. And since my body is made up of probably 85% rice, it's pretty damn important. My burrito bowl had the cilantro rice, steak, mixed cheese, every hot sauce they had and all of the tomato/pico/salsas available, but no lettuce. I don't like lettuce. The food was very tasty but they committed a huge no-no for me, which as any Lily F. follower knows, is my biggest pet peeve. That's right, kids, when food is not hot. My entire bowl was room temperature. The steak was cold as well as the rice. And yes, I'm talking about the spots that didn't touch any of the cool salsa and yes, I ate it at the restaurant. And they just opened! Also, all of the hot sauces were low at the self-service area with one completely empty. Also, it seems like they are bit more conservative with their ingredients. Nothing breaks my heart more than an employee filling up a spoon full of meat or rice and then doing that food tease where they don't even give you all of it.

This was my first visit to this location and I must say I think I line them better than Chipotle. I ordered a kids burrito meal which was feeling for me and it was awesome. The options are similar to Chipotle but they don't charge for every additional thing which is a plus! Definitely will be going back to try other menu items. The staff was polite and helpful. The one thing that I didn't line was I didn't feel my food was hot at all. I felt like I needed to heat it up which was not cool at all

I LOVEE THIS PLACE! The workers here are so kind and hard working (SUPER FUNNY TOO ) I recommend going here (much better than chipotle and I love how you can use the burrito wrap to make little figurines it so cute! 10/10 +brownies are so good

I took several of my colleagues to lunch Friday , I was bragging on how good Freebirds was. we got in line and got are food and when it was time to pay we was informed that they didn't have any soda today. we noticed that some construction was going on. we couldn't understand why anyone would schedule something like this during regular business hours, especially during lunch.

Spacious and friendly staff, the foil origami decor along the wall was neat to. My first time here I tried the vegetarian burrito bowl, they have a large array of veggies to choose from, pintos, black beans, tomato or lime rice (I had both:)) my bowl was packed full of flavor. As an appetizer I shared with my significant other a queso dip and dessert a brownie. The prices were decent not bad and there was a large selection of other things to make as well such as tacos, burritos,nachos, or bowls. Come check it out, I'll def will be returning.

Soooo.... Is this place better than chipotle? It's really up to the person I like that they have so many tiles of tortillas and they have two different types of chicken and a unique amount of toppings Go for happy hour 2-6 The burritos are 5 bucks and very filling

My son and I had dinner there last night. Not the first time we have been here. We both love it. I love the many choices we get. Always good and tasty and good customer service. Clean as well. I'm always observing, love seeing employees taking it upon themselves to straighten the place up. I will return. The hot sauces are indeed HOT. Lol keep it up guys. I had ordered the smallest size, even then I couldn't finish it. My son order the giant one. That is huge!!! Bit again damn good flavors. Thank you. I shall return.

I love Freebirds. I always order for lunch. The customer service is great. Ordering though the app is easy and efficient.

Two words-sophisticated chipotle! Choices galore for toppings, and flavors of tortillas (3 or 4 picks). Great Spices and seasonings. It was a bit overwhelming with all the choices, but the burrito turned out amazing :) 11 year olds thoughts - "I think this is my new favorite burrito spot"

Always seems clean inside. Employees are friendly and quick. Food is always tasty. This place has good customer service, an art seemingly forgotten by many restaurants these days. Keep up the good work y'all!!

First time and would not come again. Going through the line was insanely slow at 11:50a on a Thursday. It took us at least 15 minutes to get all the way though. The line was not efficient and employees were sluggish. They would let people jump in line just because the person in front was taking a minute longer and employees were all over the place trying to take online and in store orders. When I finally got my nachos they were subpar and all napkin dispensers were empty. AT 11:50A! Why is a lunch spot not prepared for the lunch rush!? Had to wait another 2 or 3 minutes for someone to bring napkins out. With Chipotle just down the street I'd much rather go there.

Food was great but I have to say the immaturity of the manager ruined the experience. Something happened with another gentleman there and the manager asked him to leave. He refused and was told that the police would be called. After a few minutes of standing around the guy decides to leave. Instead of letting the situation pass off and be done the manager chased after him, using explicit language (directly in front of my 2 and 9 year old) call him names and being ugly. The situation was over and that was completely unnecessary. Not good behavior for a manager. Won't return.

I arrived at 10pm right when they closed and the manager took the time and opened the door to take my order. He went above and beyond to make sure i got the order i wanted and did not hesitate. It's really rare for any restaurants to do this right when they close. On top of that the food was delicious. I love Freebirds regardless what i order. Chicken had good taste the beans were cooked just right!!

Pre-COVID, this place was my go to for lunch. Last visit had me wishing I went else where. The beyond meat was beyond overcooked, it was like rubber bits mixed with potatoes. Maybe it's a one off but our dinner definitely was ruined.

Look how much food you get for a burrito bowl!!! The cost goes up but the portion gets smaller. This is absolutely ridiculous to pay $12 for a burrito that has hardly anything in it. This is pitiful of place to get food for lunch. Waste of money

I usually go to the free birds in grapevine, and I love the food. However I can't say the same for this location. The burrito was 90% rice, the chicken in my grandmothers bowl was cold, the steak was chewy, the tomatos where old,and the food was overall bland and cold. Not to mention the loud staff talking about nonsense over my meal. Fix your food, hire new staff!!

I went to the Freebirds in Irving off of MacArthur today. I always get the steak nachos. This is my second time visiting this year. Things must have really changed over time because the queso was so salty that I couldn't even finish the meal. It was salty last time also. Freebirds needs to go back to their previous recipe because this isn't good at all.

In the world of large burritos, there is one burrito that reigns supreme from a tower of rice, beans, meat and cheese. There is one burrito that laughs in the faces of those people who claim "size doesn't matter". And if you find yourself at Freebirds not ordering a super monster, then what on earth are you doing there? Freebirds is actually the original large burrito chain. It predates the more well known Chipotle and is home to a variety of different sizes (unlike its competitor). Many people disagree on which they prefer, but if there's anything to be said about Freebirds, it's that there's nothing quite like a super monster. A hulking mass of burrito, it takes not one but two tortillas to wrap and provides great value that frightens even the bravest of Chipotle locations. While I choose not to comment on which tastes better (they're both great but people have different tastes. Even I have both Freebirds and Chipotle moods), the Super Monster is hands down the best value for your buck and will bring you lots of delicious food for a reasonable price. Best part is, sour cream, guac and queso (normally $1 each) are all free!

My experience was AWESOME but awkward ...why awkward? I was only customer when I first walked in at 7:30pm on a Saturday night. Freebirds offers more choices from tortillas to sides than Chipotle, this is a ++. But what I like more than anything ... I'm a nacho kind of girl and you build you get to build your own through the line. All the ingredients look fresh and taste fresh. There's a personal touch point of service to have one person create your meal from start to finish as you move through the line and most cases check you out. I enjoyed my visit, the service was great, the place is clean, the music is at the perfect sound level ... I'm definitely going back.

Freebirds is a happy place. I always anticipate with great eagerness a visit or several to Freebirds anytime I'm in Dallas (or Houston), but this particular Dallas-area location not far from the airport is my favorite. Obviously, if you're familiar with the Chipotle-style of burrito-dom, Freebirds is kind of the next level, in terms of choice and quality. It's a nice change from Chipotle, and the atmosphere is a lot of fun. Choose from 4 different sizes of tortilla, from the Hybird to the Super Monster, and choose from at least 3 different flavors of tortilla. Or, you can just opt for your burrito filling in a bowl, and go tortilla-free. Among the meats, there's both light meat AND dark meat chicken, pork, and beef. Great grilled veggies as well, for vegetarians and leafy carnivores. Move on down the line and choose your rice from brown or white, choose from pinto, black, or refried beans, and of course the standard cheese/sour cream/guacamole. Lots to choose from also in terms of jalapenos, cilantro, peppers, hot sauces, salsas, etc., as the counter employees load up your burrito or bowl. As for desserts, Freebirds makes their signature "Pot Brownies" (haha) and they are magically delicious as well as large enough for sharing - go for it, I won't tell. Fountain drinks, fair prices, huge portions, t-shirts for sale, lively employees, customer-made art all over the walls. A really cool place - just wish we had them out east!
