Their IPA’s and stouts remind me of a couple breweries back in NY, and I haven’t left disappointed once. Vibes here are pretty good, they have outdoor seating with warmers and fire pits at night, and plenty of space inside and out to have a good time with friends.

A good laid back atmosphere with a variety of good beers to try. Lady working there was super cool, too. A flight is my favorite way to go. A Mexican food truck was outside when I went, which was 10/10 tacos.

Absolutely loved this new spot in Fremont! 🍻 They have an impressive selection of beers, including a fantastic cask ale that’s hard to find around here. The cozy, welcoming vibe makes it perfect for a chill night out. They’ve thought of everything: a pool table for some friendly competition, big TVs for catching the game, and a variety of board games for a laid-back evening with friends. The outdoor lounge seating with heaters is a huge plus—perfect for enjoying your brew even on cooler nights. Food options are on point too, thanks to food truck offering delicious bites to pair with your drinks. Whether you’re here for the beer, the games, or just the atmosphere, this place is a gem. Can’t wait to come back!

Glad this one is opened up again! Used to be Das Brew before, but looks like a new management took over. A refreshed interior with a good selection of beers! There is an accompanying taco truck to get sides and food! They even have a good collection of games + a pool table now, to keep folks entertained. Looking forward to grabbing good beers (again)!!

Dec 3 2024 This tasting room is the same one that Das Brew used until they closed. Their beer is not brewed on site. They have a fair selection of beers. No Porters. I enjoy beers, ales, porters, and stouts with more body and flavor. Their stout was weak with not much malt flavor. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Great location to grab a drink and bite (taco truck). I tried their Amber and it was refreshing. They had an NFL game on the big screen and heaters to keep you warm when it's thick jacket weather.

Great beer, decent atmosphere. Loved our services hats off to our absolutely personable host and server. Just really needs food or paring substance and chocies for this location. The lacking snack wall needs more.

The Vibe Low-key neighborhood brewery with a genuine local following - the kind of place that just feels right any day of the week. Mostly outdoor seating with plenty of space heaters and fire pits to keep things cozy. Gets chilly on cooler days, but tables are usually available. - The Drinks Decent beer selection, hard cider, and non-alcoholic options. Something for everyone without overthinking it. - The Food Situation BYOF (bring your own food) or DoorDash straight to your table - totally encouraged. Pro tip: Pack your own utensils because they don't provide any. Taco truck shows up some days, though service there can be hit or miss. - The Staff Friendly crew that makes the whole experience easy and welcoming.

Different pours for different folks ! Can get crowded on Fridays and finding a parking is gonna be tough.

Been a while since I've been over here. Location was previously Das Brew but after trying what Freewheel has to offer, I'm thrilled that they're here... and as an added bonus, tacos in the parking lot in the evenings! Speaking of tacos, I ordered food and obviously had to wait... but what's a better way to wait than having a cold beer? Forgot the guys name behind the counter, asian guy, super helpful and patient while allowing me to sample some of the different offerings until I landed on Laika Space Dog! I'm also happy to report that they have non alcoholic beer options (in a can) if you're looking for that. Great atmosphere inside, people drinking and eating tacos outside, seen people shootin pool... this is definitely going to be my go-to beer drinking destination.

Service was good. We came on a Tuesday after work so it wasn't too busy. The place is small but there's actually a good amount of seating. They also set up some patio chairs outside. I had the guns of brixton which is a west coast ipa. It was good and tasted a bit lighter on the hops than what you would expect from an IPA. Easy to drink. I tried the hazy IPA.. I wasn't really a fan.. i couldn't put my finger on why.. but I ended going with the double IPA. I really enjoyed this one. Would probably go straight for the DIPA next time lol

Great beer and IPA's . I had the Guns of Brixton and I loved it!! Quality service !!! Good spot to hang and socialize!! Definitely recommend it!!

Today was the *soft opening* of Freewheel Brewing (former location of Das Brew) and it was a success! We visited just before 6pm and it was a packed house. They have a limited menu right now but will be expanding once they're fully open. The set-up inside is pretty much the same as the former establishment but the furniture and tv are new. There is also a pool table in the front room. There's currently no food menu but there is a Mexican food truck outside if you want a bite to eat. Not sure yet if they will be bringing food to this location. We're super excited to have a new local brewery and will definitely be visiting often!

Just found this hidden gem. Great vibe and most importantly great drink collection. The service is awesome. I was not sure of which drink to get they were great with their recommendations.

Freewheel is at the Old Das Brew location. Layout is basically the same... I've drank 6 of their Beers.. They are "ok". The IPAs are kinda of Light for my Taste.. Worth a visit. Staff are friendly. Plenty of sitting inside or out. Restroom is clean

Triple IPA is my favorite! Great place to hang out and play some board games with friends and family. Next to it there's Ahumadera tacos so it is the perfect combo after a few beers.

I had a fantastic time at this brewery! The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between relaxed and lively--great for catching up with friends or just unwinding after a long day. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, happy to walk me through the beer list and make recommendations. The selection was impressive, with something for every palate: crisp lagers, hop-forward IPAs, smooth stouts, and a few creative seasonal brews that really stood out. Everything tasted fresh and well-crafted, showing real care and consistency in the brewing process. They have a nice mexican taco place right outside. Food is very much demand and people coming over just to takeout food. Must try

I would give a 5 star review, but it's not kid friendly. We were probably there about 2 hours. We sat inside I noticed one people smoking outside, which I thought ok it's one person maybe it was an accident. Then we changed tables to go outside maybe after 1 hour everything was fine , then there was about 3 people that started smoking in the table next to us. I know it's outside but to me this area is considered part of the brewery. To me the outdoor breweries area should be banned from smoking which includes the area where breweries have the their tables where you could enjoy a beer with your family with kids.

Great spot. Plenty of food options, plenty of drink options too. Guava seltzer and Tahitian moon were fun drinks. Flights were perfect to get a taste of 6 different options. Staff was super friendly too!

This brewery has so much potential! All they need is a weekly trivia night or a set food truck schedule. Beer is good, not the best. Free pool table is awesome. People were friendly. Dogs are allowed on the patio. Happy hour all day Monday is $6 pints.

Cool place. It small but nice to have a place to got to in Fremont. The beers were okay. It's not the best by my palate but it might be good for yours. Go give this location a try !! Cheers !!

This brewery is at the former Das Brew location. Great place to be with friends and enjoy the selection of beers. This place mimics an English style pub with its color and decorations throughout. They also have a game room with a pool table that you and your friends can use for free. They even provide board games if pool is not your thing. The place is casual and the staff is first rate. Great service and helpful with any questions you may have with any of the bets they sell. On Mondays that have a $6/pint special and a $19 flight of six beers of your chosing. They are adding to the additional nightlife needed in Fremont. The owner is a Fremont resident so let's all support local business owners. Highly recommended.

Love the original #freewheel in Redwood City and in some ways this spot is better. Great beer, great staff, different vibe. Sadly doesn't have the kitchen the RC loathes but the do have a solid taco truck outside in their lot. Bonuses: pool table, tons of room outside, great beer! RIP: DasBrew

Updated hours - supposed be be open at 4:30pm M-F.... its 5pm and they are still closed with 2 groups waiting for an employee to come open up the place... :-/

Very friendly staff, and the place is clean. Billiards room was closed when we stopped by, but I love how they have board games available. Food service closes before 8 so keep that in mind! Luckily the patrons are so nice and we were able to get a recommendation for food nearby. Another group even brought in their own pizza, so everyone seems super chill. Place is well lit, and the drinks are solid. Wife really likes her stouts, and she swears by the Kranked. I like my sours, so the Paradise Pucker was right up my alley. Definitely will be coming back to try their food options, and this might end up being my go-to spot when friends drop by the house.

Solid soft opening! We've been waiting for this to open up and it didn't disappoint. Excited to see how they use the space over time.

Dropped by on a Monday night after official opening and Thanksgiving holiday. Understandingly pretty empty. But the beer and conversation with bartender was great. The birria quesadilla from the local food truck was amazing. This place has the potential to be the place to go in Fremont just next to the Tesla factory. Formerly the location of Das Brew.

Good beer as expected. I am very familiar with the Redwood city site. This was my first time here. THEY DONT HAVE A KITCHEN like RWC does. They do have a food truck featuring mexican food outside. The space is small and if it's cold bring a jacket. The roll up door is always open. Board games available and very friendly service as expected. Great beer place but be aware about the heating and food situation.

Place is f-ing solid. Place good size. Ambience cool. Manager knowledgeable willing to teach about beer. They got variety and beers on cask. Drink Freewheel.

I had been wanting to visit the Fremont location for several months. Finally stopped in and was highly disappointed. Beer was flat (no head/foam at all). Food menu was already limited. The main thing that can be considered entrée was the wings. However, they were all out. The other bar food we orders took forever and was soggy. I will not go back o his place.

Excellent revival of the old Das Brew location. Great beer variety and new refreshed but laid back ambiance. Couple of things - the food choice from Wah ji Wah was unique and on point. Would be good to see it more often. Also please publish the food truck/kiosk schedule on the website!
