Austin Beer Garden Koko’s Bavarian Is Closed and Will Move to New Place | Eater Austin

"A new restaurant that opened on January 13 in the Pearl District space formerly occupied by a food stall, focused on fried chicken and led by the same restaurateur; the owner also operates an acclaimed Jamaican restaurant elsewhere." - Nadia Chaudhury

Google
I tried this restaurant for the first time and I was very pleased. My mom and I split a 3 piece chicken strip meal with loaded potato salad. It was very tasty and pretty filling. The chicken was seasoned nicely and crispy. The potato salad was very good and flavorful. Yum! 😋

Google
Didn't get to try the chicken because we had just eaten and my son wanted the Mac and cheese. It was great!!! You can tell they make their own cheese sauce and not just some store bought cheese. I'm gonna go back and give the chicken a try!

Jodie B.

Google
Nice fresh chicken joint in the heart of the pearl. Meal was really tasty but be prepared for a bit of a wait due to location and they could fresh. Once you have your meal, you can sit back and let them jump start your tastebuds.

Google
Yet again this is another win for me!! Double thumbs up if not triple thumbs up! Everything we ordered was just cooked to perfection & the flavors were completely spot on you won’t be disappointed!! And oh my don’t get me started on the proportion size ! Definitely wasn’t expecting the tenders to be that BIG! But hey I’m not complaining lol. The I will definitely be going back! Of course I went during memorial weekend so yes it was quite packed and a bit loud, but it was an awesome atmosphere all around. Everyone was so friendly there was plenty of seating whether you sat inside or outside. So if you’re ever in the area, definitely stop for a bite to eat at the food hall over in the pearl District

Google
Gluten friendly fried chicken? Huge W. It was delicious, juicy, and filling. So glad I can eat it even though I avoid gluten! They do gf chicken great in MN where I’m from, so I was glad to find it here too. I’d say a touch on the expensive side for anyone that’s wondering, but it was a good meal. Coleslaw was good too. Atmosphere is loud & busy in the food hall, but fun if you have the energy for it.

Google
Juiciest fried chicken in the area! Hi Ken was Fried to perfection. More than generous portions!! The sides were all very delicious. The creamy Mac and cheese was our favorite the fries were homemade and the potato salad was awesome. We will definitely be back!

Google
I visited Freight Fried Chicken with my family over Memorial Day weekend - this review is long overdue!! I had ordered a salad from Henbit, but wanted to try Freight’s mac ‘n cheese! It was literally amazing. My mother-in-law ordered the 3 Tender Basket with fried corn. My sister-in-law ordered the 3 Piece Fried Chicken Basket with the Loaded Potato Salad and a biscuit. I had a bite of a chicken tender and it was so good. It had a great crispy flavor on the outside and it was nice and moist on the inside. Not dry at all! I had a bite of the potato salad too and oh my gosh… it was the best potato salad I’ve ever had. The fried corn was good, I tried a bite of it too, but I think it was my least favorite side personally. Great atmosphere! We sat outside and it was wonderful!! I highly recommend Freight Fried Chicken and the Food Hall in general! Oh yeah… and the biscuit was the best I’ve EVER had. Totally homemade…

Google
The line was very long, so I thought was going to be great. Overall, I was less than impressed. I ordered the tenders and fries. The fries, while fresh, were VERY heavily seasoned and tasted sweet, like it had brown sugar and cinnamon on it. The tenders also had an odd flavor that I didn't love. I will try the fried chicken next time and see if that is better. Overall I'd give this meal a C+. Update: I went during a much less busy time and had the fried chicken and it was really good! Definitely a better choice.

Yelp
I really enjoy the chicken and fries from this place. The food is very consistent and the service is very kind. This place is located within the food court at the Pearl and you can expect it to be busy but there is a lot of seating inside and out. The Pearl gives off a great ambiance, very chill and family friendly.

Yelp
Service was very fast and it was during noon lunch hour on a weekday. Chicken was crispy and actually a bit juicy. Only got a side of the slaw, but was nothing special. Main thing that brings it down was that I asked for spicy and it had no heat at all! Otherwise, the flavor of the chicken itself was fine
google avatar

Nelly L.

Yelp
Disappointed. Awesome service and very patient. But their chicken was just not it. We were craving fried chicken and for the price point bush's or Popeyes would've filled the craving. However they're situated in a superb location so that helps. Wish I would have loved :(
google avatar

Jenna T.

Yelp
I came here on a Movie Monday night at the Pearl, we got the chicken tenders with fries and I added a side of mac and cheese because it is so good! Everything is well seasoned, and the cashier was very nice as well. We got ours to go and ate it outside while watching a movie! It was wonderful.
google avatar

Teresa P.

Yelp
Mac n cheese was great, service fast, but the chicken was not great. I got the three piece and they gave me sad tony pieces of chicken. Definitely not worth $18... at least they gave me an extra tiny thigh.
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Fast-food spot located in the food hall in the Pearl District. It is a small food hall with a few options. The chicken tenders were super tender, nicely breaded and seasoned. Mac and cheese had a ton of cheese sauce and was kid approved.
google avatar

Todd H.

Yelp
Its good in the Pearl. Another place rescued from industrial transport and horse stables complete with an old refurbished Ice House. The inside is one of those modern food carts but with counters and kitchens where they can handle multiple orders and not get swamped. This place does chicken right. There are multiple sauces you can have it tossed with or just take it crispy. They offer fries Mac and cheese as sides. Wings were also available but it was a little hot and messy for that. Really good size portions and delicious food. Its inside an airconditione d building with long table community seating. Usually where you will find the families with small children. If you don't mind the heat in the shade outside is a little less hectic. We are here for the food and it does not disappoint

Yelp
On the go chicken! Total wait time was only 5 minutes. Delicious! I love a good seasoning that is not overpowering. Also I think that it's important to not reply on your dropping sauce. Though that aioli is magic! The loaded potato salad is wonderful too! Excellent job!

Yelp
THE BEST HALAL FRIED CHICKEN OPTION IN SAN ANTONIO This place opened its doors earlier this year and San Antonio is loving it! Located at the Pearl's Bottling Department, it's the only known eatery there serving a HALAL bone-in chicken option for guests! Chef Nicola Blaque, the creator of the concept & James Beard nominated chef, has done it again! Staff even mentioned that the fried chicken concept was also recently nominated for a James Beard Award Like all the other spots in the bottling department, the eatery is walk-up style, so you order at the window and wait for your food. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating at the bottling department, and all of it is constantly being cleaned so it's a pretty great place to be! Chef Nicola made her newest concept as inclusive as possible. The bone-in chicken options are HALAL & all of the chicken offered (both bone-in & boneless) is gluten-friendly too! They even serve up a vegetarian tofu "chicken" option! It's all so good and so many people are calling it the best fried chicken in town! Of course, the menu isn't complete without sides! Grab some mac 'n' cheese, seasoned fries, potato salad (ask for without bacon bits if you eat halal) & more! For historical context, Freight Chicken was inspired by black women who sold fried chicken in post Civil War America to rail passengers traveling through Gordonsville, VA. These women, dubbed "Waiter Carriers", had chicken recipes so famous that travelers would go out of their way just to try it! The fried chicken sales helped formerly enslaved women in terms of financial independence & racial progression! **ONLY bone-in chicken is halal, boneless chicken is not halal. Menu has clearly labeled it's halal & vegetarian options for your convenience **

Yelp
I love freight fried chicken. Not only is their chicken delicious, their fries are unmatched with flavor and consistency! I have tried their tenders as well as the Chicken sandwich. Lines are usually long because it's that good. Worth the wait!
google avatar

Darlene R.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! Get the bone in chicken for a taste sensation. It may take 20-25 minutes but it's a completely different experience than the tenders. Let me say the first time I tried Freight I didn't leave a review because I was so disappointed. After waiting in a long line on a busy Saturday I ordered and figured out I had ordered tenders instead of bone in chicken. For me the tenders were dry and bland. I wasn't ready to trash the restaurant on Yelp because I loved the brand history & concept and the fact it's woman owned. So I held off for a second try. Today I went for a midweek lunch. No one was in line and I ordered the 3 piece fried chicken, mac n cheese and a biscuit. It came out after 25 minutes hot and fresh. So hot, I had to let it cool down. So I dug into the Mac n cheese. Normally I turn my nose up and M&C that isn't baked, but this was so flavorful. The pasta was firm and the sauce was rich and delish. The biscuit was buttery and I just wanted to goggle it up! Finally the chicken was seasoned to perfection, meaty and flavorful. I give it #1 Fried Chicken in SATX. This is all cooked from scratch so pack your patience and you will soon be eating deliciousness.

Yelp
This is in the main food hall at Pearl. Of course when visiting the south, fried chicken is necessary. It was good so it hit the spot. I purchased the meal where it comes with three pieces of chicken, a piece of bread, some pickles, a side and a fountain drink. For the side I ordered the potato salad. They have individual packets of hot honey and hot sauce as their condiments by the plastic utensils. Also, for the fountain drinks you would need to get it from the side entrance / exit where the public restrooms are located.

Yelp
I was SO impressed with this chicken!! My hubby and I took a detour after visiting a friends grand opening and wanted to grab a bit to eat before heading home. The food court at The Pearl never disappoints. This chicken is gluten free, super crispy, fresh, hot, amazing! I love the pickles they serve with it and the dipping sauce. It was not dry at all. Keep in mind that this is a food court so you may have limited indoor seating and might have to do outdoors. The service was great they were very kind and informative. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Was at the Pearl Food Hall for dinner and tried Freight Fried Chicken. The person behind the counter was very friendly when I ordered a d I received a text when my order was ready to be picked up at the counter. The fried chicken was very moist and flavorful. I had ordered the 3 piece basket which came with 3 thighs, a side (I ordered Mac N Cheese) and a fountain soda. The Food Hall was a very fun place to dine. It gave food court vibes but without the typical fast food restaurants.

Yelp
Had a great experience at Freight! Always on the hunt for gluten free options, it was surprising to find a place that was offering up fried chicken. Not only that, but delicious too! The chicken was perfectly juicy and the crust had a good flavor. The fries really threw me for a loop! Unique to any fry I've seen before, the shape was just as fun as it was flavorful. While visiting on a Friday night, our wait time was much shorter than expected, and everything came out great. The only unusual thing is while they pride themselves on gluten free chicken...not all items on the menu are gluten free so there is a really easy potential for cross contact or to mistakenly order a gluten item. Not the biggest deal if you are only dealing with an intolerance, but in the case of a gluten allergy I'd definitely look into the menu a bit before ordering!
google avatar

Tabitha C.

Yelp
Great customer service with OK food. If I decide to eat here again, I'm definitely going to request that food and side dishes are not garnished with green onions and chives. It was too much and unnecessary. My child wasn't a fan. I ordered the tender basket and the chicken needed the side sauce. Tip: if the line is long, order online and save time. They'll call your name at the pickup window.

Katie C.

Yelp
10/10 good chicken. My wife loved the fries! Clean area nice spot. Food came out really quick!

Yelp
We've been wanting to try this place since it opened, but just never got to up until 2 wknds ago. It was a busy day (so many people) so we waited in line just to find out that they were out of chicken! It was only 6:30pm which I thought was early. Ended up getting tenders and mac and cheese. The cook on the chicken was good, but I felt like the breading was bland. So many people raving about the chicken here, but I was left underwhelmed. Also, everyone behind us got their food first and we got ours last.
google avatar

Mark E.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time, and I was disappointed. I ordered the 3 piece chicken and 1 side. The chicken tasted like it had been sitting for a while. I asked the manager about the chicken and he said they needed to make more but it would take 18 minutes. I asked him why wait until you are out of chicken to start making fresh chicken and he just ignored my question. The chicken was a little cold and lacked flavor. The best thing I ate were the fries. I don't recommend this place
google avatar

Sierra S.

Yelp
Wow just wow. I love chicken tenders and these were flavorful and WELL seasoned. Loved every bite! The Mac was creamy and delicious. Corn was crisp and yummy. The biscuit is TO DIE FOR. Buttery flaky, and yet moist at the same time! The staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the packaging and the way they take care of their plating of even their to-go orders.
google avatar

Efftee B.

Yelp
Service was great, the man who took my order was extremely polite. It's unfortunate that you can only leave a cash tip, I don't normally carry cash and you can't tip using a card. The fries were pretty good and my friend ordered a side of rice and it was sooo good, the rice is the way to go. My sandwich was just okay. The pickles were good and the chicken was well seasoned but it was very dry. I went back to ask for mayo but there was none available. I had gotten a side of bleu cheese dressing for my fries but I didn't want to change the taste of the sandwich by adding it on. I'd give them another shot and order bone in chicken in hopes that it wouldn't be dry.
google avatar

Sarah N.

Yelp
So I saw a post on instagram and decided to try it for myself... First of all, it's located inside the food hall at the Pearl. I ordered the three finger combo with mac & cheese. The food was delicious and I would definitely return, but if I'm being honest, I wouldn't go out of my way.
google avatar

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came to Freight Fried Chicken on a Sunday around 7pm and there was no line. The guy taking our order had good customer service and was funny! We got our food within 20 ish minutes since it's made to order. My bf and I both got the chicken strips and they were really good! They had a nice breading to chicken ratio and a really solid crunch! The ranch wasn't my favorite but that's mostly personal preference. The fries weren't bad either, but the biscuits and honey were sooo good! Really we loved the overall experience and are excited to go back soon!

Yelp
Saw this from a local foodies TikTok and I had to try. This is located in the Pearl so you have to find and pay for parking. It's located right in front of the splash pad for the kids. The menu is very simple and you need to stand in line. Once you place your order, it does say it can take up to 25 minutes to get your food. I'm sure that's because they offer bone in fried chicken and you can order family meals. I ordered the 3 piece tenders basket, spice with a side of Mac and cheese and blue cheese to dip. It didn't take us long to get our food. It was piping HOT, like fresh out of the fryer hot and the mac too. Had to eat with a fork and knife because it was getting under my nails and the spice was oily, like hot oil. It was absolutely delicious. The tenders tasted fresh, not frozen or prebattered. Loved the spicy seasoning, it was more of a blackened with a little heat, not overly spicy or burning hot. The macaroni and cheese was deluxe but not creamy creamy, no velveeta cheese, real cheese only. The blue cheese dipping sauce was okay but to be honest, I didn't need it. The tenders were delicious by themselves. The place shares a common sitting area, cafeteria style, with the other restaurants and bars in there so you just need to find a seat inside or outside. Good for strollers and a bit noisy. Definitely coming back again.
google avatar

Darren S.

Yelp
The fried chicken, fries, coleslaw and spicy ranch dipping sauce were all excellent. Everything was well-seasoned, and the chicken was ultra-tender.
google avatar

Eddy R.

Yelp
So this place used to have lines which left me waiting this long to try it. I finally did on a day with no lines. This made this place okay for me. The price was a problem for how small the chicken pieces are. I got the 3 peace with mac and cheese as the side. I Also got biscuits to try. I was sad about the size of the chicken pieces and thought maybe they should have a 4 or 5 piece option but that quickly changed because of how good the mac and cheese and biscuits were. The sides are the star here. I did add the oil to the chicken and it tastes like Spicy Boys in Austin Tx but dial down in flavor. To be honest I think this place is worth it to just buy the sides on their own and enjoy the best biscuit you will have in San Antonio. Lightly sweet and perfectly buttered. I know I will just buy mac and cheese and biscuits the next time I go. I would give this place a 3.5 but going down to 3 because of price and chicken size. Really Skip the chicken and just get the mac and cheese and biscuits. Or get the 2 peace with the understanding that the sides is what you really want. You will be happy you did.
google avatar

Nayelis C.

Yelp
This is the best fried chicken sandwich I have ever had. So good. I would eat there again anytime I'm at the Pearl. Side note, I added the slaw to my chicken sand-which.
google avatar

Caroline J.

Yelp
For someone who has a gluten allergy, fried chicken like this is truly a treat. First, everyone we spoke to was very friendly and met us with a smile! It was a busy Saturday, so I ordered ahead using Toast, and I'm so glad I did because that line was long! For good reason too! I flipping loved this chicken. Loved it. Need it. Almost came back the next day to get it again. MONSTER pieces of chicken for the tenders. MONSTER. Chunky, plumpy, crispy seasoned flour on the outside, but not heavily breaded. I loved, loved, loved the seasoning. While I ate, I felt like I was sitting at the kitchen table at home with a glass of lemonade on a hot summer day, eating fried chicken and laughing with the fam. Dip that clucker in some spicy ranch and call it a day! We also got the 3 pieces fired chicken meal, and y'all. Y'ALL. I just wanted to gnaw on that chicken thigh like a cavewoman. I could have. Maybe I did at one point. No sauce needed, but I did dip into that spicy ranch again. I just loved how the seasoning got into all those nooks and crannies, and I could feel the love in it. For sides, my kiddo and hubby got the Mac and Cheese and fries. I loved the shape of the fries, but I wish they weren't as thick so they could get a little more crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. Hubby wished the Mac and Cheese had a thicker cheese sauce, but kiddo really enjoyed it! Hubby also said that, while he doesn't have a gluten allergy, he can see how this chicken would be special for someone with a gluten allergy. Even not having a gluten allergy, he thought the chicken was great too! Put it all together, and we will definitely be back! Thank you, Freight Chicken!
google avatar

George L.

Yelp
Tasty fried chicken for a decent price. Would return if back in San Antonio. Crunchy in the outside, juicy on the inside! The way fried chicken is supposed to be.
google avatar

Sierra T.

Yelp
The chicken was perfectly cooked! Crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside, and generously seasoned. The potato salad had just the right kick to it! Customer service was on point, the gentlemen that work here are polite and helpful! The ambiance was chill and relaxing, perfect for a late lunch with friends.
google avatar

Nick M.

Yelp
Delicious! Was a fan of Mi Roti... Love the Jerk Shack. Chef Black does a great job. Chicken is gluten free and full of flavor. Biscuits are amazing. The loaded potato salad was good too. Give it a shot!
google avatar

Autum R.

Yelp
The food was served fresh to order and the wait time was not long. The food is just okay... That might be because the menu is gluten free, but also the chicken needed longer to cook and the mac n cheese was VERY liquidy. The flavor was also very flat and all of the menu items tasted similar. The plate is also served quite empty, so you do not feel full afterwards. Due to it being in a food court, that might be the idea of the meal--to not feel full so that you can sample another vendor in the plaza. The biscuits were the best part of the meal. It is not bad, it is just... Okay.
google avatar

Bill S.

Yelp
On the level of gas station fried chicken. Two of the four pieces were room temperature. Not recommended.
google avatar

Courtney T.

Yelp
We really wanted this to be a 5-star review...I mean, we really did, but it honestly didn't live up to the hype! -Fried chicken was just meh!!! They only serve dark meat (my fav) however, I was served 1 thigh & 2 legs...come on, man! So, I went back to swap a leg for a thigh & he just gave me another thigh-which was a pleasant surprise. -The potato wedges were the hit for me-seasoned well & the batter was very light, but crispy -Tenders was just alright...not really rememberable. -The Mac & Cheese was a letdown, because if you call yourself a "Southern" restaurant, I feel like it should be baked. Also, be advised that the way is lengthy plus VERY limited seating inside...we were forced to eat outside.
google avatar

Yelp
Dining at the pearl in any capacity is going to be expensive, so it didn't shock me that the total was $50 for me and one other person. And yes, the portion of chicken was not that big, but to me that's a clear sign of non genetically modified chicken (I'm assuming), so I'm not mad at that either! The flavor was great! I got the three piece (two legs and a thigh) and the mac, and my partner got the spicy chicken strips and fries. The dark meat was tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. The mac was made with REAL cheese and the fries had something yummy on them, vinegar maybe? Not sure but it was so delicious. We also shared sweet teas which I can't be sure, but tasted exactly like gold peak, which was a bit of a let down but not a deal breaker. I will definitely return to this place when the budget allows it since the food was delicious and prepared quickly.
google avatar

Ivana P.

Yelp
I bought the 3 piece ($16) added fries ($5) added 1 biscuit ($2) No drink or tip and I was charged $29?? The math is not mathing at all but it's at the pearl so I guess what else can I expect. Was it good?? yes, the chicken was well seasoned light and crispy and I loved the potato salad it was full of flavor but overall this one plate definitely not worth $29 in my opinion. It is still worth a try flavor wise and it's gluten free fried chicken which is hard to find in San Antonio, just pricey.

Leonila G.

Yelp
We went for a late lunch on a Friday and decided to try Freight! The chicken tenders are delicious...crispy, tender, and just the right spices! Their French fries are just as delicious! Their service was quick, friendly, and courteous! We'll definitely come back.
google avatar

Brandie B.

Yelp
I had the chicken strips; they were very plain; tasted watery, and had no flavor. The seasoned fries, no popping flavor, again plain. If it wasn't for the side sauce, I wouldn't have eaten any of my order. I threw 60% of it away; it wasn't tasty enough to eat later. Sad! Especially since 4 chicken strips cost $12.00, "Texas Eats" on ksat always seems to over exaggerate their reviews. I gave this place a 2 star because the food was served hot, and the fries were large portioned; it's a 1 star on taste. I'll never eat here again. I love chicken, but this place ain't it! It was the worst chicken I've ever had, ever! As you can see, I am pissed for the amount of money spent plus tip. They will not survive!
google avatar

Gary S.

Yelp
Pros Moist, hot, and crispy chicken Reasonably priced chicken Offer bone-in and boneless chicken Fries are good Food Hall style atmosphere Cons Batter lacked flavor Biscuits were dry. Mac and Cheese was runny and lacked seasoning Long wait times Pictures are overrated Biscuits and sides overpriced
google avatar

Sarah V.

Yelp
Great food and yummy. Everything taste good and big portions of chicken tender and Mac and cheese.
google avatar

Emily H.

Yelp
For the price I wouldn't recommend. The chicken strips were bland and over cooked. Only thing I enjoyed were the fries.
google avatar

Marc H.

Yelp
Was visiting from out of town, wandering around the Pearl area, and stopped in the food hall where I saw Freight. Went up to the counter and ordered sliders. I tried to pay cash and they let me know they only accepted card, so I walked away. About 5 minutes later one of the chefs approached us, his name was Rich. He let us know he heard that we couldn't get the sliders we wanted, and gave us a box of two sliders on the house for the inconvenience. So not only is the fried chicken SPOT ON, but the customer service is fantastic as well. Will definitely be back our next visit to San Antonio. Thank you Rich.
google avatar

Jose S.

Yelp
Great chicken and biscuits. Service was on point 2. Joe and Rich are good guys and they know their stuff.
google avatar

Bri F.

Yelp
Service was awesome, he gave us recommendations on what to order and told us to try the spicy ranch. The fried chicken and chicken tenders breading was crispy and flavorful, and the chicken juicy on the inside! You can get it spicy for an extra $1 but we ordered buffalo sauce and that gave it the extra kick! It's located at the bottling dept at the pearl, we picked a seat outside in the patio and this place always has the good vibes. This is must try and was shocked to see the ratings weren't 5 stars.

Yelp
The long awaited Freight Chicken has opened up at the Pearl Food Hall! Visited on a nice Sunday evening with my wife and to our surprise there was a small line about two parties ahead of us. Upon ordering we noticed the biscuit is not included so I ordered one add $1 with my 3 piece Fried Chicken Meal and my wife ordered the chicken sandwich with fries made it spicy for $1 more. We notice that there is a sign posted to allow for 25 minutes for meals to be ready so I imagine the food is cooked to order. After about 2 meals and 2 drinks with a biscuit will run you about $46 and that's including the service fee! Yup you got that right the service fee, percentage added to the total of your ticket just to have your meal prepped, cooked and ordered. About 30 minutes later our order is ready for pick up. Let's rate the food, I've been seeing the local foodies rave all about the chicken and sides here so here it goes. The fried chicken is crispy, moist and breaded very well however the taste isn't unique reminded me of KFC back in the day (I'm talking about the late 1990s early 2000s)! The biscuit was ok nothing exciting fluffy however Bo has better biscuits! My wife's chicken sandwich wasn't spicy just a hint of it, ultimately 3 tenders in between sandwich bread. The tenders were ok dry rather and needed dipping sauce or hot sauce stat which a dipping sauce is included with each meal I chose honey mustard and my wife ranch, both tasted like it came out of a container, so not home made!?! The French fries were amazing and my Mac and cheese was rather dry unappealing not like the foodies around San Antonio presented it at all. Overall, was worth the try for myself and my wife however was very overly hyped, dry Mac and cheese and overall average chicken was not worthy of the price!

Marco G.

Yelp
Chicken was ok no big deal, Mac and cheese had no taste expect for the green onions on top. Sorry definitely not worth 18.00 and it doesn't even come with a biscuit. It's crazy over priced. Try Gus's famous fried chicken that's defiantly worth it. Won't be coming here anymore. Also just I wouldn't have paid if I knew what the prices were their menu that they were showing had no prices on it and a lot of the menu was scratched out with permanent marker. Food Looks pretty though lol
google avatar

Angel M.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to give this place a try to see what it was about. It was not as good as we thought. And definitely not worth $50 for chicken. The fries were good. Food really didn't have any seasoning.

Yelp
This place recently opened and I found it on TikTok. It is located at the Pearl in the food hall. So there is public parking. Now it is a Saturday and a new food place, so the line was out the door. Because it is a dining hall and there are other places you can choose to eat inside or outside. We chose to eat inside and even though it was packed we didn't have any trouble finding a table. We ordered the 3 piece chicken w/ loaded potato salad. The chicken was very juicy and seasoned good. Potato salad was scrumptious! I also ordered the 3 piece tenders which in my option was delicious and juicy. They were also pretty big pieces compared to the 3 piece. The Mac and cheese was good, however I was a little disappointed because sure it didn't quite look like the TikTok, but it was a busy day. But it was good, I'm just wasn't a fan of the chives on it. The biscuits were fluffy and delicious. I also ordered the slaw, which it is usually hard for me to find a place that makes slaw the way I like and I must say this slaw did not disappoint. It was very good! In the end the food was delicious and if you're in the mood for some fried chicken I do recommend this place. It's good, a little pricey, but good!

Yelp
Excellent Gluten Free fried chicken and the best potato salad and slaw. Chicken is perfectly cooked with sauces 35 cents each. The Chamay pickles are so good with the chicken. Most of sides are GF. Check with management for details on sides and sauces. An excellent dining area for quick dining or take out.
