After years of talking about it, my partner and I decided on a whim to make reservations and travel to Paducah solely to eat at Sarah’s restaurant. We are so glad we did. We made reservations for both Friday and Saturday because we wanted to try as many things as possible. The first night we ordered off the menu and the second night we had the curated tasting menu. Both meals were great, but the tasting menu was out of this world. If you’re traveling a long way, you’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t do the tasting menu. Everything we had was unique and absolutely delicious. My favorites were the sticky ribs and chocolate cake. I also want to give a huge shout out to our server Holly who we luckily had both nights. She was the right balance of attentive but not overbearing, knowledgeable and so much fun to talk to. We also had the pleasure of meeting Sarah Bradley and talking to her. She was just as funny and down to earth as she appears on TV. Thank you Sarah and the entire staff. We got everything we wanted out of the experience and so much more. We will remember it for the rest of our lives.

AMAZING!!! We enjoyed Chef Bradley's Valentines Day menu and the food was phenomenal. We were lucky enough to sit at the "chef's table" the end of the high top nearest the kitchen and got to witness Chef Bradley and her staff work their magic. Chef welcomed us when we first sat down and continued to interact through the evening. Duffy our server was awesome he did great explaining the dishes and keeping the courses coming. Overall an awesome experience. I can't wait to come back and try more of Chef's creative and beautiful dishes!

This restaurant is run by a well recognize chef, a James Beard de nominee. The food was superb, focused on southern cuisine. The flavors were balanced, subtle, and wonderful. Food was expertly prepared. served, and tasted amazing. The pork shoulder was an incredible homage to southern cooking with the best collard greens. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Would have happily tried every single dish on the menu. The mushroom soup was phenomenal and the sticky ribs are a must try as an appetizer.

An outstanding dining experience from start to finish. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared, with just the right portion size to leave us completely satisfied. The quality of the ingredients really stood out in every bite. The service was warm and welcoming, and everything arrived at just the right moment without ever feeling rushed. Truly a place that knows how to do both food and hospitality perfectly.

I had high expectations and they were exceeded! I love all the vegetarian options, the plates are perfectly sized so you can actually share a dessert and have an appetizer also. The Oister Mushroom was amazing and the banana tiramisu was the best I've ever had. Will come back for sure!

Delicious creatively prepared food! Being mindful of healthy eating, I was a bit apprehensive about it being dubbed as Southern cuisine. Our shared winter salad and a burrata appetizer to start won us over. But the grilled pork loin entree was the star attraction! Perfectly prepared with beautifully presented vegetables accompanying the meat, each juicy bite was sensational! Tip: the entree size is extremely generous - could easily split for 2 or plan to take home extra portion for the next night!

12/23/25 1st time dining here. Walked in 30 minutes before closing and still had Top Notch service, Delicious drinks and Superb food. Will most definitely return with family and friends.

I have talked about coming to this restaurant literally for years, because I wanted to try Chef Sara Bradley’s cuisine. We drove 1 1/2 hours when we were visiting Tennessee to try this restaurant. For our anniversary, my husband purchased a tasting menu experience for us. When you walk in, for the tasting experience, you are literally right next to the hostess table, near the kitchen staff at a long high table with tall chairs, the kind that you have to jump up to sit down. If you’re overlooking the restaurant like I was, you can see more relaxing booth/bench seating towards the other side of the restaurant with better more relaxed lighting. They looked more comfortable than we were. I expected a higher level of service and ambience since the tasting menu was significantly more expensive than regular dining. At the tasting menu table you also sit directly next to other tasting menu diners who are receiving the same courses. If the other diners at the table started earlier, they will be a course or two ahead of you so the fun of being surprised or delighted by a new dish coming out is lost. You know what they’re bringing out and the waiter responsible for serving the table parrots the same script to you that you just heard 30 minutes ago. So, sitting at one long table is not ideal because you and your partner have no privacy. You’re hearing your neighbor’s conversation and they’re hearing yours. We were literally shoulder to shoulder. Bunching all the tasting menu diners together, needs to be redesigned and reconsidered. The food was good, but not great. I was expecting a lot more. The tasting menu had coconut throughout the entire meal, and notes of sweetness when it didn’t need to be there. The cauliflower dish was delicious, but the PB&J rib was greasy, overly sweet overcooked rib with cornflakes and peanut butter was not good. It made no sense being on the tasting menu. Very disappointing. The experience ended with a chocolate mayonnaise cake with no real flare other than Marshmallow fluff that had been torched. It felt as though the menu selections were based upon the ease of the staff being able to get food out to the diner versus showcasing some of the best things the restaurant had to offer. The waiter dedicated to the tasting menu table, should be replaced. He is not representing the restaurant very well. In between courses we waited about 15 -20 minutes after dishes were cleared for the next course which made for a long dining experience with 6 courses. The couple near us also commented how slow the service was. In addition, you’re hearing the exact same course description again and again. It felt very transactional and felt disingenuous. There was minimal to no personal interaction with the waiter, as it was a drop and pick up process. All of us were looking for a higher quality experience since we were there to celebrate a special occasion. I think building a mandatory tip into the tasting menu fee, results in the wait staff not being motivated to provide good service because they were getting a good tip regardless. Our waiter was often fluttering throughout the restaurant and too busy to check back on the table. For instance, we wanted to order unique bourbon from their amazing list. Our waiter never came back, so I had to flag someone else down to place our order. They screwed it up and we had to order again. We waited 30 minutes just to get one bourbon order. All in all, the ambience and the food was ok, again not great. The tasting menu choices toggled from being artfully prepared (Cauliflower dish) to being slop on a plate (PB&J rib). I expected higher quality service/food for what we paid for since it was a Top Chef Finalist and James Beard Award Nominee restauranteur. Fun evening with my husband, but overall disappointing.

5 stars, that simple. I wouldn't call this place a "fancy" restaurant, but the food kind of resembles that. You walk in and there is a decent sized dining area with a bar and open kitchen. The service the whole night was great, which is rare these days. The best part though, was the food. I would recommend getting 2-3 appetizers for the table to share. You can't go wrong with any of the choices. The Caesar salad was probably the best salad I have ever had. No joke. The shrimp n grits were very good as well... Overall this is one of the better restaurants in Paducah. I will be back for sure.

Grandma always said, " my how you've grown " Momma never did. To grandma the changes were obvious, gaming had lengths of time between visits. Mother didn't see the day to day.... We patronize on our 1x yearly trek to visit Kentucky. Freight house has always been our first and last stop , it is the highlight. Private time to slow down and re-notice how much I love my wife. The food was the excellent. I especially appreciate earthy mix of flavors that aren't ruined by other less professionally secure chefs by fancy distracting spices. Thank you. It's my tied favorite thing about the house. I did miss getting the meatloaf. I was looking forward to it and you were out.... At least the menu said so.... The other thing I missed, was some personal warmth. Perhaps it was the Saturday. And the waitstaff was emotionally dug in to survive the night....? Previous years ( see previous review) I felt overwhelmingly welcome The servers engaged in a little personal, but not inappropriate chit chat and doorstep to be real happy with themselves and in their own skin. It was obviously less personable this visit. I felt like a number. The curse every owner must face with well earned popularity. We wanted to dine in a second time on the way out of town. Alas. Private event locked up the seats. I'll be back next year. I'm hoping the staff projects a warmth and happiness to be there....

We drove in for the day from Nashville with Freight House being our main attraction and it didn't disappoint. From first glance it's inviting and charming in this historic space with an open kitchen and covered patio. Our server was polite and provided more information when we asked for recommendations and such. We decided to select several plates to share, so we started with the deviled eggs with bacon onion jam that we were told were always on the rotating menu just with different twists. We wouldn't normally order deviled eggs, but these were very worth it! The smoked yolk filling was a great texture and a generous helping and the bacon onion jam gave it just a hit of sweet and savory that put it over the top. Next, the Brussels sprouts napoleon was a seasonal starter that wound up being one of my husband's favorites. Puff pastry with hot honey drizzled on top, sprouts in the middle with citrus ricotta... and the dried cherries gave it a little something extra. Tasty though it didn't make my top dishes of the night. For entrees we shared the braised pork shoulder and shrimp & grits. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, the pimento cheese grits were so tasty and surprisingly not heavy with the brothy sauce, and the pieces of pork in the dish made it extra satisfying. The braised pork shoulder was the star of the show for me. The meat fall apart tender, perfectly paired with sides to make a fantastic plate. The greens had a little sweetness and acidity to balance out the richness of the pork, the sauce and fennel aioli brought everything together, and the bacon fat cornbread was a staple on the menu for good reason. For dessert we asked for Chef Sarah's recommendations and she selected the mocha chai sundae and strawberry shortcake. The sundae came with table side poured chai Carmel sauce which was a fantastic addition to the coffee ice cream, and I liked the crunchiness of the chocolate meringue paired with the ice cream and caramel. The strawberry shortcake was another favorite for me -- the olive oil cake was tasty and even better paired with the sweetness of the strawberries and the tanginess of the goat cheese fluff -- which I couldn't help but finish despite being incredibly full. My only complaint is not enough strawberries, but each component was fantastic and the whole thing was gone.

Had a great visit to Freight House and will definitely return. We are Top Chef fans and we're very happily surprised to see Chef Sara so involved in the nightly operation and service. She and her family were present the entire duration of our visit. We arrived when they opened at 5 on a Thursday evening. The old brick building was bustling with happy customers and busy staff members. The kitchen is open and you can see the kitchen staff work. I had the shrimp and grits which was excellent and all in our party were very happy. Service, excellent, dining room, clean and modern, bathrooms, clean. Highly recommended.

Came here for dinner with coworkers and had a reservation. We ordered several appetizers, a main dish, and a dessert each. From my understanding, the menu offerings rotate a little and you may not always have the same options. I was also informed (by my table mates) that the owner is a renowned competitor and winner of chef shows. The dishes prove this. EVERYTHING was wonderfully plated and tasted so delicious that I would have no problem visiting any time I come through. I definitely want to try the chef's tasting plate at some point. Wide selection of bourbons as well, I just did not have any. Open concept dining area and very friendly waitstaff. You order appetizers and main dishes at the same time but it's brought out with good timing. If carrot cake is an option for dessert (and you like carrot cake), you HAVE to get it (pictured). EXCELLENT texture, flavor, and the cream cheese icing I could have just eaten by itself. Hands down the best carrot cake I've ever had. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening at Freight House!!

The food is always top notch at Freight House. Our server didn't seem to be in a good mood this time but everyone was nice and accommodating as usual!

Best meal I've ever had since becoming vegetarian! Longtime foodie (first 3-star Michelin experience in 1973 -- as an 18-year old backpacker walking into l'Auberge de l'Ill in Alsace). On a long grinding road trip from Minneapolis to Southeast Florida, about 30 miles away from Paducah, I fired up Yelp, found Freight House, and was lucky enough to snag a reservation online. Sublime, sublime food and cocktails, and really well-curated wine and beer cards. Unlike many reviewers here I'd never heard of the place (or its chef/founder). Who knew that deviled eggs could be ambrosial? I have no idea whether I'll ever be back -- I'm getting too old for marathon drives -- but I will if I'm near! Meanwhile, you kids enjoy!

Oh my goodness! If you haven't tried the Freight House yet you must! We had a reservation and we got there our table was ready so we had no wait. That started our night off wonderfully! The appetizers that we had were amazing! We had fried grits and dates stuffed with chorizo. So, so, so good! We devoured them before I could even take a picture! Our waitress was so sweet and her recommendations were top notch! The overall look and feel of the restaurant was so nice! The building was apparently an old train station hence the name of "The Freight House". Next time we come to Paducah we will definitely make sure we have a reservation here again!

Oh my goodness, we loved this restaurant! I'll admit we are foodies and we went because of seeing Chef Sara Bradley on Chopped and Top Chef. As soon as we walked in we recognized another celebrity chef having dinner. This may sound silly, but everything we had was outstanding. We shared two starters, the pecan pork ribs and a ricotta tart. He had risotto and I had shrimp and grits. We shared the English pea cake for dessert. As each item arrived at the table we exclaimed "Mmmm, taste this!" Service and ambiance were outstanding. We met Chef Sara and her mother. Other customers were friendly as well, asking what we were having as each item arrived at the table. The whole experience was warm and welcoming. We can't wait to return.

Visiting Paducah and seeing our two best friends perform at the Market House. Had dinner with two other couples and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had the gnocchi with pork belly and the pork loin. Started with a small wedge salad - omg so good! Cocktails were amazing, too. Wondered if Sara would be in the building and sure enough, she was out on the floor, talking with customers and serving. Great experience! Check it out!

Freight House 330 S 3rd St, Paducah KY 42003 July 5, 2023 Wednesday - 6:20 PM for Dinner 3 Adults Atmosphere - 5 stars Food - 5 stars Service - 5 stars Background - Business trip to the area and told to go to Paducah for a better restaurant choices and Yelp and Goggle lead me here. Atmosphere - The name of the restaurant tells the story. The place looks great. Love the old brick walls. We ended up at one of the few high top tables, it was near the bar. I enjoyed watching the bartenders. Food Drink - I love trying new beers, today it is Cliff Jumper IPA by Country Boy Brewing . Dinner - I saw the Parisian Gnocchi and had to have it. I can not even put words to this gnocchi. This was the best gnocchi I have ever had. So stop what you are doing an make a reservation for the Fright House. Then order this meal after your server arrives. Service - I was a little concerned when we walk and talked with the hostess. She asked if we had reservations, nope. Not an issue on Wednesday but it was busy. Our waitress interesting. Highlight of the night, foodie geek out, we watched Sara Bradley working the kitchen. If you do not know Sara Bradley is the chef and proprietor. She was the runner up in the TV series Top Chef season 16 and 20. Then she moved to expeditor, and then I had the courage to walk up to her. She was very polite. She indicated she would visit our table after a bit. She did and she was curious about us, I do not think I got to ask a question about her. I even got my foodie celebrity selfie. It will be a Yelp profile pic. Future - I hope so!! It was great talking with Sara.

We didn't eat anything that wasn't fabulous. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. We essentially ordered an unofficial tasting menu and were not disappointed. Please make a reservation. They were packed! It was fun seeing our fave Top Chef contestant running the joint. Huge parking lot. Casual yet refined atmosphere. Paducah needed a nice spot like this.

Started with craft beers and smoked fish dip for an app while we sat at the bar but the app came out with our main dishes so they were kind enough to take that off our bill. The dip was good. Wife got gnocchi while I got the ny strip. She liked hers and while the quality of my steak was excellent and tender, there was very little salt/pepper for seasoning and the char was over-powering, almost bitter tasting. All in all, I would probably go again but would order different.

Visited with my husband early last month (April 2024). We were visiting Clarksville & took the fairly easy drive to Paducah. Wanted to experience Sara's cooking in person. Everything was just meh. From the indifferent hostess to the blah food. Oh well. Check another one off my list.

Have you ever met someone that was famous and they let you down? I unfortunately have had a number of those situations in my life, but this time, it was different. Last week, my family and I had the opportunity to dine at the Freight House in Paducah, KY. For those not familiar, this is owned by Sara Bradley of Top Chef. My wife is a big fan. I am now too. Firstly, the food, OMG! But, more importantly, my daughter had an excellent vantage point and was super curious about the cooking line. We've been cooking a lot with her at home and Miss Sara noticed this, came over to our table and offered to show her the expediting line. My daughter then asks, "Can I see the back? I want to see where you make the cakes." This is where I became a huge fan. It's a dinner rush and she has stuff to do, but she took the time to show a young lady who is interested in what she does. She spent over 10 minutes, giving her a private tour of the back of the house, showed her where and how our entrees were being prepared, taste tested a few elements along the way and then even got to go back to the line. (Photo attached) Our daughter disclosed to Sara during her tour that "Mommy is a huge fan." Sara then took the time after our meal was completed to chat for another 10 minutes with us all about her experiences on Top Chef and her other travels. It's heartwarming how impactful this experience was to my daughter. Fast forward to this morning, "Daddy, I could own a restaurant and be a chef ‍ like her someday." To all of the folks looking to enact change. Be like Sara Bradley and be the change you want to see in the world. When someone wants to learn, lean in, offer to mentor them. You could just open their eyes into a whole new world of possibilities. Thanks to Sara Bradley for the wonderful meal, ambiance, conversation and memories. And thank you to being a wonderful ambassador of Kentucky!

We ordered takeout tonight because we are traveling through town with our dog and needed to eat in our hotel room. Ordered two meals: the catfish and the crab cakes. The food was absolutely amazing! The crab cakes are the best we have ever eaten! Not heavily breaded. Not greasy or fried. Not dry. They are served with a delicious red sauce and French fries/ seasoned Frits . Yummy! Definitely award winning crab cakes! The catfish was also delicious. Light and fluffy. Not deep fried or heavily breaded. The two corn bread pieces are very small, bite size. The white bean sauce was very tasty. Perfect match for the fish! Our only disappointed was the carry out containers and utensils. Very thin, tiny napkins. The plastic ware was flimsy and cheap. The paper boxes that the food came in were lined with aluminum foil. Difficult to eat out of without tearing the foil. Also not warm. (Thus the 4 star rating) Wish we could have dined in. It was good but it wasn't great. The two best dishes were the burrata and the ribs. There were three ribs. Womp. The burrata came with more bread then toppings. We got three peach slivers and two small pieces of prosciutto. It made me sad. The sweet pea cake was dry. The eggs were all smush and needed more texture. The pork shoulder was decent. Drinks were top notch otherwise this would be a three star reviee.

This place was #1 in Paducah and was close to the river and downtown area so I decided to give it a try. I started with a drink called a big fashion along with an app. of fish dip and crackers which was an interesting pate of fish with some sort of hot sauce on top with crackers that were like saltines with less salt. The fish had an interesting taste and after I mentioned to a colleague about the fish dip she said the restaurant uses Asian Carp on their menu. I cannot confirm that the fish dip was Asian Carp but I suspect that is the case. I ordered the highly recommend and favored braised pork shoulder with black eyed peas and collards with Truffle fries and cheese grits on the side. The pork shoulder was "fork tender" and went well with the black eyed peas and cheese grits. Needless to say I ordered plenty of food for my only meal of the day. It was a good meal. Thanks!

This place is amazing, and Sarah is great. When we are in town from North Carolina we drive an hour extra to come eat here. However tonight we showed up at 5:25 and were told no reservations till 8 available. Half the restaurant is empty. We went back at 613 and it is STILL half empty and they won't seat us, saying there are 7:30 reservations coming in so we can't eat. Husband asked the manager nicely and he was very snotty and rude. The hostesses were so sweet and wanted to help us but Zac insulted and as condescending to us. A very sad experience.

Delicious! Worth the drive from St. Louis. I would return again. Cocktails were great too.

Our favorite restaurant! The food is always amazing and cooked to perfection. We've never had bad service - the wait staff is always attentive. I love the atmosphere too - it's relaxed but nice. Highly recommend going hungry and getting the deviled eggs! The chef's tasting meal is always so so good, and we can't recommend the Out with the Old Fashioned enough!

Wow! Who knew Paducah, KY, offered such wonderful fine dining. We found this place because of great Yelp reviews and they were not wrong. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. I had the crab cakes -- best I've ever had-- and my husband had the crawfish pot pie--also excellent. We feel as if we need to make weekly visits just to we can try everything on the menu.

Great food and great service. Drove a long way to get there and it did not disappoint! Amazing service - we got seated even though we got to the restaurant about 30 minutes earlier than our reservation. The food and drinks did not miss. I got the pork loin and the polenta was to die for. The maple chess pie was just fantastic too! Can't wait to come back.

2nd visit to FH. I appreciate the innovation / creativity of the offerings, but I came away a bit disappointed on the whole. A dining companion's shrimp and grits looked lovely and it was reported to be complex and flavorful. The catfish entree I ordered was artfully presented, well prepared, and tasty, but the dish was too minimal for my tastes. The fillets were accompanied by a single grilled green onion that seemed more garnish than vegetable. For me, some sort of accompaniment to the fish (a well-chosen vegetable, perhaps?) would have augmented the experience. Service was excellent!

I can't believe I didn't snap any pictures! I was very excited with this being a top chef owned location. The restaurant is gorgeous - the plants and cookbooks, and the open kitchen make this location feel like home. We started with the smoked deviled eggs and they are a huge win! The bacon jam on top has so many layers of flavors. My husband had the pot roast lasagna and I went with the meatloaf and egg noodles. The meat loaf had GREAT flavor but the gravy was very salty and my hand cut egg noodles were cold. The lasagna was plated in a bowl that complicated getting a complete bite and seemed to have been heated inconsistently when plating. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and we would try it again. The couple we dined with are from the area and dine here regularly - the heirloom carrots were delicious!!!!!!

The pot roast lasagna was excellent. Enough for two people. It was cold in the middle, but they remedied that. Share with one other. The portions are large enough.

Beautiful spot for a nice date night, we were lucky enough to see both a proposal and a bride stop in for their celebrations. The restaurant treated them all to glasses of champagne! We decided to build our own coursed meal. 1) Beer Cheese 2) Broccolini Tart 3) Cabbage 4) Coco crusted spare ribs (his) 5) Butternut Squash 6) Lemon Pea Cake Amazingly, my fiancé said the veggie dishes far outranked the ribs. Delicious dinner and a great spot if you are in town or driving through.

We saw top chef and was staying close by and decided to check out Chef SB restaurant! We had a patio table. It was a laidback atmosphere. Quaint and homey which is not what I expected but it was cute My salad was delicious. I ordered what I thought was a chicken dish with polenta Not sure if I got a pork dish! I mean you would think I could tell the difference but it took a minute. It was a beautiful presentation but it was just ok. My cocktail I ordered at the recommendation of my server was awesome! I got the pea cake dessert it was dry. Seemed to be day old cake but it tasted ok ..... glad I went

This place is a tad too for school. Trying to hard to be too cool. Yep, the menu is different and unique but you do not have to act like some sophisticated upper crust snob to work here, which is sadly what I experienced. The spicy grit appetizer was amazing. I would highly recommend. The heirloom carrots were pretty much a mess of a mess. Not sure what they were going for with this one. The most troubling was the dude behind the corner bar standing there and texting and staring at his phone the entire time. This place has potential but I found it to be just meh.

Went here for dinner after a training program with a colleague. Got to say it was an awesome experience and the food was magnificent. The local cider was delicious and the appetizers very tasty. Mains were also fantastic and overall just right. Our server Celia, was fantastic and we really enjoyed our conversation with her.. if I'm back in Paducah, I will definitely be back for sure!

We went to celebrate being in Paducah to celebrate our granddaughters Baby Shower. There was 6 of us and we all really want to try this restaurant. We thought it was a special time so let's splurge. The cocktails and flights we got were wonderful but of course expensive. The apps were wonderful, the smoked bologna was why I gave 2 stars. AmazinG. On to the entrees. My husband and I split the $62 steak And did the $7.00 split fee. The steak came out cold, not cool or kinda warm, cold. I told the server and they took the steak off our plates to warm it? All that was left on my plate was a bit of creamed corn..... it came back the "scraped" it off a plate on to ours and that was it. Still cool not even warm. all in all wasn't that special.

I'm not sure what the whoo-hah for this highly-touted restaurant is about. Truly, one of the most disappointing meals I have ever had in a restaurant. I started off with the fried pork skins [sorry Dr.] which were excellent. Sighs of good things to come. What a bust. The grilled Caesar salad had a weird tasting dressing that I can't identify; but it certainly wasn't caesar. The grilled catfish entree featured a perfectly done filet and a second filet that was practically raw. The pureed sweet potato was good. I did like the sweet pea cake for dessert. The wine list is extensive, but the pricing is a bit heroic.

Went there last night and the experience, food and staff were top notch. I enjoyed watching chef Sara on Top Chef and Chopped and after last night, I know why she is a Top Chef. She was present and working the line. We were seated at the chef's table overlooking the cooking and everything was on point. You could tell that everyone knew exactly what to do and how to do it. Our server was able to answer all the questions we had concerning the menu and everyone was very friendly and looked like they really enjoyed their job. Chef Sara is running a well oiled machine and that can only be accomplished by being a great leader. Will definitely be back to enjoy more good food and hospitality!

We agree with the wonderful reviews of this very special restaurant! Such unusual versions of our old favorites like shrimp and grits and meatloaf done up Strogonoff style. From our drinks which were novel to the cornbread we added at the suggestion of our wonderful waitress Polly to the ultra rich bacon fat brownie, we loved everything about our dinner. Thank you to Chef Sara and to our server extraordinaire Polly for great food, great service and great memories.

So delicious!!! Every single thing we ordered was delicious. They have a way of balancing all the flavors so it hits all your tastebuds at once and makes them all happy! Highly recommend eating here if you have the chance. It's a little bit on the expensive side but if you're ready for eating out and treating yourself, you're going to love the food here.

I was really excited to see that a top chef from Bravo was here!!! Great service but I wasn't excited about my menu selection. Grits with hot sauce???? Nah... No Thanks. However the skins were warm and tasty as an appetizer. We also had a flatbread starter that was pretty tasty as well. One person in my party said the Caesar Salad was the best ever. So I'm giving 3 stars because I loved the excellent customer service although my food selection was disappointing. I'll try something different next time!

Wow. In from out of town. It's no secret that Sara (I'm such a top chef fan I feel like I can first name it haha) is a local celebrity, but food, like sports, is only as good as the next time you do it. You gotta deliver. I opted for the tasting menu. I've done it before in other places, so I sat back to see how it was gonna happen. Chef's choice on all. Elevated Deviled Egg. Pickled Beets. Some killer soup that had little pieces of grapefruit in it. Butternut squash- sweet, savory, spicy, crunchy and creamy. Some fantastic catfish. Steak was amazing with what thought was potatoes that turned out to be parsnips. Yums. Pea cake for dessert plus fudge to go and a pic with chef too. Excellent service. It takes some finesse from your server to present all the stuff I was shoveling in haha. #stretchypants Wish I knew her name cause she rocked. Paced just right. The atmosphere is super chill- casual dress with really good food. Kinda like eating on someone's house, but a really nice house, plus you have to keep your shoes on. Go on in and enjoy yourself. Highly recommend.

Wow! All the wow's! We sat at the chef's table and it was so fun to watch the masters at their craft, and visit just a bit with them while they were working. The food.....just amazing. The flavors are so spot on. We had smoked bologna, smoked olives, the grilled romaine salad, the pork loin, and a turkey/stuffing/cranberry pot pie. It was all so delicious (the smoke didn't come thru in the olives but they were still delicious). The chef was also gracious to chat a bit with us when I know she is busy. We planned our travel around a reservation at this restaurant and so glad we did!

Fantastic food. Been here 5 times on business and every bite was praise worthy. Always sit at he bar since I am by myself. Deducted a star solely because every time I sit at the bar, the bartender guy and woman completely ignore me. I need to flag them down for everything, ordering, water, check. They never greet me upon sitting down - so awkward. Most inattentive bar staff I've ever encountered but some of the best food I've ever had. Love the autumn salad, pork belly tostada, spicy shrimp and grits, grilled Caesar - yum. Worth the visit, but avoid the bar if you want attentive service.

My husband and I watched chef Sara Bradley on Top Chef World All Stars and, when we were visiting Nashville, drove 2 hours to Paducah, KY to try Sara's food (we had reservations, which I highly recommend as the restaurant was packed - even on a Tuesday night). It was well worth the drive! You don't have to be in a big city to get world-class food. The restaurant itself has a nice vibe. It's located in a historic brick railroad frieght depot that's been nicely updated to keep its historic charm but with a modern twist. Posted on the front door was the restaurant's inspection sticker which showed they received a 100% rating. Never have I seen a restaurant receive a perfect score before. Impressive! As far as the food itself, I honestly could've ordered everything off the menu. It was really, really hard to decide. It was almost as if the chef looked inside my mind and developed dishes that took into account everything I love. I highly recommend the ratatouille, the hot brown and the chocolate fudge cake. All are familiar dishes, but the unique way they were prepared made them extra special. The veggies for the ratatouille, for example, were sliced on a mandoline and stacked into small coin-like packages. The top was dotted with goat cheese and croutons and each bite was the perfect bite of savory, sweet, and salty. I couldn't stop eating it. The fudge cake was extremely chocolatey (which I loved) and the texture of the white chocolate frosting dome was perfect. As I glanced at the other diners, everyone was swooning over their food. The perfect ending to the perfect meal was when Chef Sara came over to speak with us as we were leaving the restaurant. I could tell she was extremely busy, but still made it a point to come over and say hello. She's super nice and even shared her recipe for ratatouille with me. We definitely will be back!

I had the pork shoulder. The chef brought it out herself and let me know the cornbread was made in her grandmother's iron skillet. So many welcoming features to this gathering spot in Paducah. But back to the food...WOW! My first bite was phenomenal, I was starving! But the last bite was just as amazing as the first. And I finished every bite! I will be back when I get back to Paducah! Outstanding!!!

Absolutely phenomenal. Was taken here for a business meal so no photos but wanted to leave a kind and supportive review. The starters were extremely unique and tasty. Could hold their own with big city dining spots. Really clever menu!

Delicious real food, excellent service, and the vibe ---all 5 stars. Each dish has its own nuance of flavor, the staff is professional and accommodating, the bar knows how to make delicious drinks or great recommendations, and the spotless kitchen show the cohesion of the entire team, working seamlessly to produce a true restaurant experience. The ingredients used are fresh but the portions are perfect. The is truely unfussy modern American cuisine founded in its upper south roots.

I had high expectations of this place and they were not only met, but exceeded. I loved it so much, I went back the next night. I can't stop thinking about that pea cake. Thank you, Chef Sara and team for such a memorable weekend.

Always fun, always great, it's one of my all time favorite places to eat. I don't get to Paducah often but when I do, they are on my short list of places to visit.

So good. Came in for dinner and we got lucky with no reservation. We asked to be seated on the screened in patio and got lucky to be the only ones out there. Especially for a Friday night at 730. It quickly started to fill up after our arrival. We started with drinks and they were both delicious. I ordered the revenge of the party mom. Mm I love a drink with jalapeño in it. It was both of our favorites We decided against appetizers and ordered our meals. He got the griddled burger with an egg and truffle fries and I got the eggplant parm. They were both delicious. I had never actually had eggplant parm and I was not disappointed. We thought about dessert, but decided to stroll by the river instead. I'm sure we will be back

First visit and EVERYTHING about this restaurant was superb. The menu was loaded with items with recipes that I had never seen before. The service was outstanding, even though our server was managing a table of 12 next to our table of 2. They make Old Fashions the CLASSIC WAY, with a Large Ice Cube, dark (not Maraschino!) cherries, and an orange (not a slice!) peel. Best of all, they had my favorite Bourbon, Buffalo Trace. The Catfish, with English peas, was excellent. The Sticky Ribs were loaded with meat and great tasting. You would be hard pressed to find a restaurant with such creative dishes and recipes. I was so impressed, I asked my server to point out the Chef, who is also the Proprietor, so I could share my thoughts. I even went to the bar to thank the Bartender on the Old Fashion. This place rivals restaurants in big cities, and the only reason we were there was because we were traveling. I can't wait to go back next time we go through Paducah.

In Paducah on business for one night and did not expect such a high quality restaurant. Everything was absolutely incredible. This was one of the best meals I have had in quite some time.

I have eaten all over Eastern half of America and the menu was mediocre at best and way overpriced, one time there was enough.
