Check out the recently renovated Fremont! I definitely recommend this Boyd property for a mid-priced option downtown. I was pleasantly surprised by the remodeled rooms. Nothing fancy, but a solid base to explore downtown. The casino is decent sized, with all the current slot and table games. The location is literally at the center of the Fremont Street Experience canopy. There are (relatively) quiet rooms available. The new food court offers casual and lower priced options. The atmosphere throughout the property is bright and fun.

The rooms are decent sized (bathrooms are small), beds are very comfortable, nice view, safe and dorm sized refrigerators in the rooms. The rooms have been remodeled since our last stay there. Staff is very friendly. Also with their remodeling, they've added a food hall on the first floor by the casino . Good food choices with a variety. Marion, one of the servers, is awesome. We've been going there for many, many years and she's by far the best server you guys have. The younger servers have no clue on what's happening. Please treat your senior servers the respect they deserve! Please share this with Marion and others who can make a difference

My friends and I stopped by here because they wanted to visit the historic casino. We parked at a parking garage nearby and walked here. There are tons of street performance that you'll see outside. When we walked into the casino, you can tell the demographic here is very different from downtown Las Vegas with the popular casino. The tables here are cheaper to play in but there also not a lot of tables. You'll see security around just to help make you feel safe.

Fremont is fun for almost everyone! Binions has the Million dollar display back free to text photo OR Million Dollar Dave can print a high quality photo out with paper frame for $10!! Go say hello to him. Plaza has Pink's Donuts and Brian Christopher Area plus the Carousel 🎠 Bar. Coney Island hot dogs at the D. There's so much more go to Fremont you won't be disappointed

What the hell is the resort fee of around $35/day. You did not give me anything extra for that neither did you tell me anything. Was it for the extra loud noise that kept me waking up in the middle of the night. The rooms were okay but remember you get no free breakfast and parking. Since it is in the middle of everything, the area looks filled with unfriendly people trying to make money in every way possible. Definitely not a good place to stay except if you only intend to sleep and gamble.

For my first time staying in the Downtown area I was very impressed with this hotel and would certainly stay again. Checking in was the fastest and most seamless process I’ve ever had in the city and there were never any queues at the reception throughout my stay. There’s plenty of lifts serving each of the floors and again I never had a wait. Although my standard room was small it was modern and spotlessly clean, clearly having recently been refitted. The lighting throughout was good, with reading lights, plenty of lamps and a ‘mood light’, plus the TV was a great size for the room. There was an ironing board in the reasonably sized wardrobe as well as a coffee machine, but the mini bar remained empty. The air-conditioning worked really well without being too noisy and sleep quality was wonderful. The only issue some people might have is noise from the street experience outside was loud, so if that’s likely to be bothersome try asking for a room furthest away. The bathroom was equally as clean and modern as the main bedroom area with a fantastic shower and wonderful soft towels. Overall it was a great value stay and I’ll certainly be considering it again next time I’m in the city.

The front desk staff were very friendly and offered assistance on multiple occasions! The lobby is the casino and there are plenty of machines to play and waitresses offering drinks. I found I won more in the late night (12-3am). The rooms are newly renovated so everything was clean and nice. The bathroom is tiny, but it works! The room had a fridge and a safe, and everything worked with no issues. There was never more than 1 elevator working at a time (they have 3), so sometimes there was a bit of a wait. It was a little loud at night, and we were on the 14th floor, but it didn't keep us awake. There are a few restaurants in the casino (including a Dunkin Donuts), and the entrance is dead smack in the middle of the Fremont Experience. There are plenty of stores within walking distance (including ABC Store and Walgreens).

Comfortable beds and walk in shower is a bonus. It’s not a quiet location - you’re in the heart of Fremont Street, so if you’re looking for a quiet sleep this is not the place! But it has a lot of options to eat (food hall plus a couple other options), as well you have the casino there and a small shop for necessities. Staff were friendly, and helpful. Location was the best part for me - it was a 4 min walk from a festival I attended and the area is heavily policed so you feel safe.

Yelp
Fremont has decently priced rooms located in the center of all the action that the Fremont Street Experience has to offer. Valet, Bell and Housekeeping staff were all kind and helpful. Front desk staff was swift and efficient. The level of cleanliness in the room itself wasn't up to my standards, but most places rarely are. There were a few stray hairs on the bed sheets, but judging by their location, it was likely from when the Housekeeping staff made the bed and not left from a previous guest. There was also hair on the floor in the bathroom and in the shower. I used my travel cleaning kit to clean and sanitize for our short, overnight stay.

Yelp
I stopped in briefly to check out the casino offerings. There was a variety of slot games, but not many of my favorites.

Yelp
Our favorite spot to chill downtown. Friendliest bartenders, cheap eats, low key and it's quiet enough to have a conversation while watching a game in the sportsbook. A+

Yelp
My family and I usually love staying here. We appreciate the friendly staff, reliable restaurants, budget friendly accommodations, and convenience within downtown Vegas. The recent renovations are also great. That said, this stay was less than subpar. Our room was not cleaned thoroughly upon arrival. There were strange stains on our bathroom ceiling, frosting stains on our walls, and cake pieces left on the carpet in the corner behind the curtains (didn't see the cake crumbs until the last night). I didn't make a big deal about the little things as the bed and general area were still acceptable. I wiped off the frosting. I couldn't reach the weird stains on the bathroom ceiling but eh, I figured staff would see it eventually. Please know we're pretty easy to please. We throw out our trash in the bins. We wipe up any messes we've made. We're not terrible guests who trash hotel rooms or make unreasonable demands. Our room was NEVER serviced during our 4 night, 3 day stay. We only had the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on Saturday morning to sleep as we arrived around 2 am. But we took off the sign for the rest of our stay expecting BASIC service. Taking out the trash. Some new towels. To make matters worse, I believe my earrings were stolen. We were expecting the room to be cleaned at least Sun or Mon, but nothing. I didn't realize my earrings were missing until I started packing Mon night (we were set to leave Tues morning). The last time I wore those earrings was Sun night. I took them off and placed them on the night stand next to the bed. Yes, I left them out. No, they aren't valuable. We put the valuables in the safe. But it's the principle. If you stole my earrings, you could have at least did some small things for the room, maybe provided a fresh set the towels, something. If there was a shortage of staff and if that was communicated to us, I would be a lot more understanding but a big part of customer satisfaction is communication and managing expectations. Yes, I am disappointed. I'm really hoping my earrings weren't stolen but after turning the whole room around, our luggages, etc. it's the only logical option I have left that makes sense.

Yelp
I usually don't want to write review with complaints but I'm writing this so other people don't have to go through bad experience like me. My main 2 reasons are room is not clean, cleanliness is low standard, and some staff is not helpful. Hotel is recently renovated so looks fine. I like the casino floor. I like it better because it looks brighter. The problem I had was hotel room and housekeeping service. We weren't told that if housekeeping sees the "do not disturb" sign, they will not clean your room at all. They will not go back and check. If you want to sleep in little longer, but you want your room to get cleaned, make sure you tell the front desk. There were helpful staff but there were also staff who will give you bad experience, giving out wrong information. We had our "do not disturb" sign up until we left our room little before 10 am. We took it off before we left and saw a housekeeping on one end of our floor. So we thought our room will get cleaned. When we came back around 3:30, nothing happened in our room. Bed is not made and no new towels, etc. We called the front desk and we were told that our room wasn't clean because the housekeeping probably hasn't gotten to our room yet. Housekeeping never came. We called the front desk and told them, but no explanation. The next day, I think we took of the "do not disturb" sign around 9:30. We didn't know that housekeeping already passed by our room. We went out came back late afternoon, room is not made. We were just told by the front desk that housekeeping saw the "do not disturb" sign so our room didn't get cleaned. Next morning was check out day. My husband talked to the manager because we weren't informed of the important information that one housekeeping sees the "do not disturb" sign, our room will not get cleaned unless we tell someone (before housekeeping service finishes). The reply and the manager's unapologetic attitude made me never wanted to stay in Fremont again. He said, there's not enough housekeeping. He also said it's every where in Vegas, they don't have enough housekeeping. He also said because of that reason, they are banking on the guests to put the "do not disturb" sign. So giving guests good or comfortable service is not on the list. Why are you making more guests stay if you can't give them service. Also the first room we stayed was dirty. Crumbs on the chair, dirty clock, bathroom sink had stuff stuck on the side. Also a/c was locked so the room was cold, who would lock the temp. At 68 degrees!? We arrived at midnight so too tired to change the room. I had bad night but only other room available that night didn't sound good. We were told that we had to go up few steps to go into the room. Go up the stairs with suitcase when we are tired? The worst thing is that the next day after we told the front desk about all the problem (where it wasn't cleaned) and when we came back to the room afternoon, the bed was made and there was a new towels but crumbs was still there and the sink weren't cleaned. So, you can guess what kind of standards they have. If it looks ok, it's ok. Doesn't have to clean. Also they don't seems to check stuff, the mini lotion bottle in the second room we stayed was partially used. We threw it away.

Yelp
Cheap The Fremont is a very old, and historic casino that has nothing spectacular. There really is not much to write about here, but I have always been impressed with ALL of the departments great customer service skills. They have a really great restaurant called Tony Romas and the worst Chinese food imaginable called, the lanai express. There are many locals that come here for the cheap drinks, to play video poker at the bars, and many have stated that the slot machines are looser here, as well. The Fremont has a really good sportsbook! Best deal in Old Vegas and it isn't a dead dump like. Works Thanks

Yelp
I stayed from Sunday night until Thursday morning. Check-in was easy. If you have a players card, use it when you book your room because it's cheaper. Everyone was helpful. Dunkin doughnuts is in the food court, so I used my app to order my coffee in the morning. Walking distance to White Castle and Pinkbox doughnuts. If you want reasonably priced snacks and drinks, go to the ABC store. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Racism has no place in American public service industry. Cocktail waitress literally wouldn't bring me drink cause I wasn't pushing my buttons fast enough, but she served Hispanic man who was only sitting next to his wife, not playing at all, when I confronted her, she said she will bring me drinks, I just cashed out and left, idk about folks being racist, but I won't spend my money with them

Yelp
This review speaks only to the Food Hall. We walked in to take a look. We noticed Dunkin Donuts relocated here, and there were some new eateries: including Dunkin, there's Craft Kitchen, Steak n Shake, huey Magoos, Roli Roti, and Tomo Noodles. We wanted to redeem our Aloha coupon at Craft Kitchen but we missed the window. It's opened 7am-3pm. We decided we'll come back Thursday before leaving town. We got lazy and didn't. Next time. The food hall is tucked in the back if you come in from Fremont St. Experience. We walked past Tony Roma's around 4:30pm, and there must have been 50+ people waiting to eat there. There are many tables and plenty of lighting. So different from the rest of the hotel casino.

Yelp
Fremont Casino is one of the original casinos of the beginning of Las Vegas. So keeping this in mind as I write my review... LOCATION: With the renovation and upgrades to this hotel, as well as many others on downtown Fremont Street, it's a fun, more casual happenin spot of Vegas for tourists. There's a Walgreens, gift shops, plenty of updated bars, live entertainment (formal and informal- with fremont street live experience groups and street performers), zip line and the very cool electronic tv screen rooftop where there's live jam sessions combined with colorful video graphics every hour in the evenings. You truly can just stay on fremont street and be entertained, gamble hopping over to the various casinos, and it's all covered if it rains no problem, and the casinos are just a few steps from each other (not like main Vegas strip where you sometimes have to walk over bridges to the next casino). CASINO: They definitely updated this casino. They extended and added a food court with some great selections including Dunkin Donuts, Craft Kitchen, Steaks & Shakes, and so on. There's a small but intimate sports bar area, and the updates also are reflected with the nice bathrooms. They truly did a great job updating this casino. It's a cool vibe here, and you can see where it all started for Vegas with the history. SMOKING: It's an old casino y'all. No matter how hard they try or have a non smoking casino area, it's not going to work. There is a smoke odor period. If you get a non smoking room, the smoke smell is subtle, but it's there. These original vegas casinos were built back in the day and they can do their best, but it's just not going to remove the smoke odor all together. ROOM: Pros- I was impressed by the updates. It truly looks like what it does in the pictures on the website. You can check out the photos as pictures are worth a thousand words. The bed was COMFORTABLE, sheets and blanket were also comfy. I slept WELL. The bathroom has a nightlight built in so if you use the restroom in the middle of the night you won't be blind in the dark. Decor is nice, very modern. Bathroom was spectacular, but it is a tad small but still great. Hot water comes out immediately. Plenty of towels ready for you. Cons- Not as clean as I like it to be honest. I pay attention to the small things so these may not bother you, but there was a couple of dried nuts left on the ground under the work desk, and a piece of a candy wrapper on the floor by the bed which makes me question the vacuuming. Also dust in crevices (not obvious places) and in the closet. The obvious thing for me was the hand prints on the window. They obviously don't clean the room thoroughly, but it's surface level cleaning where again, it's not obvious until you get settled in and notice these little, but important things. TV cable has 25 channels or so only but I guess who is in Vegas to watch tv? Depending on where your room is, you can hear the fremont street experience when the music and digital music show goes on every hour but it ends at midnight.

Yelp
Love the freemont hotel! I come here to play the blazing 7 machines and after that I head on over to Lanai Express and have oxtail soup! Workers are very friendly and the hotel has everything I need to enjoy my night!

Regina C.

Yelp
I really liked Fremont Hotel due to their security. There was one night my friend and I felt unsafe as one male seemed like he was following us to our room. And so, we went sown to the first floor and asked the police to escort us which he gladly did and waited for a bit before leaving to make sure we were safe and that no one was hiding. It could have been nothing but we were really thankful for such security. Great hotel and it's right in the middle of downtown! All the food places and bars are walking distance.

Yelp
Heart of Fremont- the room we had was not loud so you could sleep- clean rooms plus food court

Yelp
Staying, playing, and dining in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada... Every other month or so, I receive flyers in the mail for comp rooms for the Boyd properties. I needed an earlier night in Las Vegas - because I wanted to take advantage of a less expensive flight - so, I looked through my pile of mail and found my flyer for October. I called to reserve my four-night stay, but Main Street and The California Hotels were sold out. The reservationist on the phone was so knowledgeable and helpful... She got me into a room at The Fremont! I haven't stayed at the Fremont in a VERY long time because I don't have many happy memories there. I just remember that the room and bathroom was small. The casino downstairs seemed crowded and smokey. Oh, well... It's a free room and I needed it, so... Okay! Another thing I don't like about the Fremont is the valet parking. The reservationist on the phone said that I did not need to tip the valet! (I still did.) On the other hand the valet turned out to be all right because I didn't have to circle around and around the parking structure looking for a space! Waiting for my car in the morning (in the chilly air) wasn't that bad either! Dining options: there's no buffet anymore. I ate at Lanai Express for the first time and had the 99 cent shrimp cocktail. I saw Tony Roma's and Dunkin Donuts, but didn't patronize. The room and shower were ok. The lobby was great - I used it every morning to have some quiet time to work on a couple of reviews... LOL! It was kind of weird to not have any security near the elevators, but I guess the receptionists are watching everyone going into the elevators. Thanks for the four free nights, Fremont Hotel! I enjoyed the beautiful renovations, clean room, and the Spin from the $5 Wheel of Fortune machine! Note: another good thing about staying at this hotel was that I was able to walk to St Joan of Arc Church!

Nichole R.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay. It was easy to get around inside. Everything conveniently located. Food court was a nice change to see in a hotel and many foods to choose from. Our room was great!!!! No complaints about this hotel. If you're going to Vegas and want to be on Fremont street for the party but like to have a chill atmosphere inside the hotel then choose Fremont Hotel. We will be back k and already looking at dates.

John D.

Yelp
Pretty subpar experience if I'm being honest. The fun started when I arrived, and since the reservation was under my boss's name as she got the rooms, they were going to make me wait multiple hours until she got there, because the system was down (no fault of my own) despite the fact that I had the email with confirmation and with my name listed. This was after a three hour airport delay, so I wasn't happy. Once they went through their many papers and finally found one with my name on it, I was finally allowed up. That was my first impression of the place. Then I get up to the room, which was small but nice enough, but the music was blasting all night which makes it very tough to sleep. Luckily I'm a pretty heavy sleeper and it was a short trip but longer than two nights would've sucked. It's also nearly impossible to figure out Ubers/Lyfts because you're either in the thick of Vegas on the one side with people everywhere or you're illegally hailing a car from by the food hall. We got yelled at because we weren't supposed to get picked up there. It was just a mess. Oh and it's under construction so you get to wake up (in Vegas no less when everyone has probably had a few the night before) with a cacophony of construction and slot machine noise. I will give it an extra star for the nice bell guy and the old school charm. Normally I stay at either one of the MGMs, Sahara, or somewhere to that effect. Price is pretty comparable. Will make sure to do that next time.

Yelp
I came to Las Vegas for a conference I was speaking at. Most of our events took place on Fremont Street and at the Las Vegas Blind Center, so attendees were staying downtown. I booked my room through Hotel Tonight, which had a great deal. I have been using Hotel Tonight for over a decade and I've never had this issue: My name is spelled slightly different on Facebook than my actual last name because I am a therapist and I want to keep my account private from my counseling clients. Hotel Tonight uses the spelling of my FB name because I use my FB to log-in. All this to say that when I attempted to check into the hotel, the woman at the front desk stopped me. Again, I have never had anyone give me pause over the slightly different spelling of my last name on Hotel Tonight. I showed her my Facebook and my government-issued ID and explained the reason for the different spelling. She told me that I was going to have to get in contact with Hotel Tonight and have them change my name on the reservation. As this was a tech issue, it was not going to be solved immediately. I told her that I had just been traveling for another conference in San Diego and that my phone was dying. I asked where I might charge my phone while I was waiting for Hotel Tonight to call me back with an update. She told me that the slot machines had USB ports. I dragged my suitcase all over the casino, looking for a working USB port before I asked a waitress, who explained that they had shut these down to prevent unhoused people from using the USB ports to charge their devices. I ended up finding a working outlet, however, it was right above the cigarette butler, just on the other side of the registration counter. I am not a smoker, and I had to stand with my suitcase and the disgusting cigarettes smell while I charged my phone and waited for Hotel Tonight to return my call. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that the staff member that denied my check-in could see me standing right over the cigarette butler/trash can. Not the way I wanted to feel arriving in Las Vas as a single woman, while hauling around a heavy suitcase for 9 days of travel. I called a friend who was staying at the D Hotel, and he came and took my suitcase to his room for safekeeping, so that I could go to the introduction event. By the time I got back to the hotel, there was a manager there, who solved the problem by simply adding the correct spelling of my name as another guest on the room. I couldn't believe how easily she solved it after the first woman made it seem impossible. I do not like feeling unsafe when I am traveling alone, and not being able to check into my hotel room for four hours did just that. It was absolutely infuriating. I would give this hotel only one star had it not been for the kindness of the manager and the convenience of the location.

Joshua M.

Yelp
They're lucky no zero star available. Coz that's what they deserve. Was here and playing BJ and started winning some money and the ahole floor supervisor reshuffled the shoe. So we asked why, she said because I want to and I can do it every hand if I want. This place doesn't belong here in Vegas. So if they are losing a little money shuffle? If they're beating players keep going? Gaming should look into that and make a rule out of it coz it's not fair to players. I'm not a counter or anything just a player who wants to play. But yeah worst Boyd property in Vegas. Only this one. The rest of them I love going to all the time. Players card number LC306731753

Sarah V.

Yelp
The worst experience I've ever had in Las Vegas, a lot of the slot machines were broken and I went to pull a chair out and there was a loose nail or staple that cut my finger open and it was bleeding & I asked for a napkin for the blood and they sent a security guard DUSTIN over who was completely rude to me and threw a few alcohol wipes, and Band-Aids at me and said "here take another fucking one Miss Karen" and when I asked to speak to his supervisor, he said they wouldn't talk to me & that he was employee of the month, and he was going to law enforcement, I pray Las Vegas PD doesn't hire on that horrible jerk, he would be the type that would give police officers a bad name

Leah Anh N.

Yelp
This casino has an older feel to it upon entering. There were some slots here that you cannot find on the strips at any of the other casinos. Drinks here were great. The people that worked here were nice and friendly and provided great services. This place has less people which was nice. We came here at night time and it was great.

Emily M.

Yelp
Lorenzo gave us the full experience! He was awesome! He was our dealer, so personable and friendly, kept us to keep going! Love him and can't wait to come back!

Shania W.

Yelp
I use to come downtown all the time to play at Fremont but recently they have changed out alot of good games that were popular and replaced them with less entertaining and nongood slots. Im also disappointed to see they still only have 3 oh the Quickhit $2 machines. Before their remodel, they had several and were so fun to sit there for hours playing so now its hard to even get to play it due to them only bringing back 3 of them. In all, it seems they are trying to move out the older clientele and their Hawaiian guest to the California Casino and draw in the newer generation in Fremont with their games now. California is okay, workers arent very friendly with assistance when needed but I loved playing in the Fremont with their wonderful staff that was very attentive to any needs even when very busy at times. Had one issue there but i didnt pay no mind to it due to how positive everyone else was besides this short casino boss. Great place but missing all the great games that were changed for crappy ones

MarkPooh H.

Yelp
The Fremont Casino is a fun place to visit. I had fun at the slots. It was easy to get their players club card. Everyone was friendly They have a food court, I enjoyed that too

Rae A.

Yelp
Manny is a good bartender 10/10 would recommend the service! Very friendly and great service. I always come back.

Brad J.

Yelp
In a nutshell: Great location, great place with great and friendly staff in all areas of the property. LUV playing here!

Le D.

Yelp
Room is clean. And nice people. Great service. I like eat at Tony Roma's.. nice the Fremont

Joe W.

Yelp
Great place to stay very fun .. super clean and fun !!! You got to love the old Vegas ... that's where all the fun is I love coming here to watch the free bands and drunk people dancing a must try if you haven't done old town and down the street there is hoggs and heifers great place to stop in and give up your bra's for the ceiling !!!!

Arturo T.

Yelp
I went in I began playing $50 dollars into slots in front of the slots machine while my friends went into the restroom I told the waitress for vodka cranberry she said she never saw me I told the bartender if he heard about my order he said no his name was Eduardo he said she never went up to him about my order so I'm just saying if you want to play this is not the place they would not respect there policy about free drinks and David he was cool but also escorted me out of the casino for not having prove even thoe I have a voucher if I couldn no star I would

Tara M.

Yelp
Stayed here for the first time. The staff was super friendly, room was smaller than expected but very clean and recently updated, and the casino was nice and did not smell like smoke. Only downside was the noise from outside. We were on the 9th floor and could hear the honking and sirens from the road below all night. It was annoying but will not deter us from staying here again. Overall a good experience.

Ginger M.

Yelp
If cleanliness means anything to you, STAY AWAY from this hotel! We booked a 3 night stay and checked out after night one. It certainly is old and worn, which could have been tolerated, but very poorly maintained and cleaned. The room carpet had not been vacuumed, the mirrors were dirty and the lamp didn't work, and there were not adequate power outlets. I use a CPAP machine, and there was no outlet for that, lighting and mobile phone charging. Evan found a dirty tissue behind the dirty nightstand. The elevators were dirty, as well. Very dreary, dirty experience. On the positive, the food court had good offerings, was spacious and clean. This experience was most disappointing!

Bob W.

Yelp
I got robbed here and the casino didn't do anything...it's too bad because I really like this place but the bad experience ruined my entire trip....it's too bad that the security is so lax here because it's a nice place otherwise

Dar T.

Yelp
We had comp rooms here and what a disappointment! We always check the beds on hotel stays, we uncover the comforter and inspected the sheets. Day 1, we had pubic hair, brown stains (maybe from a spilled soda) and a dot of blood. Called to have them change, then we inspect again, this time there were 3 spots of blood, dime sized. Called housekeeping and they sent someone up with a new comforter. Soon after the Housekeeping Manager called and apologized profusely. I don't think I will ever stay here again. They tell me that the hotel is newly renovated, my guess is they using the same old bedding

Yelp
I've been coming to Vegas for over 30 years, yet this is the first time I ever stayed at the Fremont. Was meeting some friends from the East coast and it was the closest to them. First of all, bring ear plugs because it's noisy here! If you try to go to bed before 2 am, forget it. ha. The room looked recently remodeled though, so it's nice... but small. I had problems with a machine here too, and they had to reboot it. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture to show my balance in the machine, and they almost shortchanged me. I even said the amount to the service guy before he reset it, and he IMMEDIATELY FORGOT! Yes, ALWAYS take a picture of the machine when it fails so that you have a record of the balance. Or don't gamble here.. up to you.

Yelp
I visited Fremont Hotel & Casino twice while in Las Vegas. We stayed at a different hotel, so my review is about the casino. We went in around 11 PM on a Monday night and I signed up for a card. Membership included a free t-shirt & the current promotion was $5 of free play if you spent $10 on a machine. You had to do something online to redeem the credit on your casino card after spending the $10 (and I didn't end up remembering to do it before the 24 hours were up). The staff was friendly with servers walking around constantly to take drink orders. I played for about an hour on the penny slots, and ended up breaking even. I came back the next night and ended up losing my casino card in one of the machines moving around too fast. Luckily the staff was able to reprint a new one for me (after verifying my identification), so I could get back to playing. After moving around to find machines in my gambling budget, I felt like they should offer more machines that allow lower bets for the penny slots like in other casinos that I've been to. I don't go to gamble high because I do it for fun and most of their "penny slots" require 20ct - 50ct bets versus 1ct - 5ct bets. The cheaper bet options were deactivated on several machines. You will run out of cash quickly if you don't get lucky, but I guess that's the point. Overall, it was a cool experience.

Yelp
Boyd dining credit denied by restaurant and not any help from rewards services, terrible customer service.

Yelp
Fun spot in old town. This place reeks of history. The machines are pretty new and the tables are decent. The carpets are clean. It just feels old. The bar is not as expensive as the MGM ones but not cheap either. The staff is ok. The food selection is pretty lacking. This is adjacent to the fun pedestrian area so its worth a stop for a bit of vegas history. I have never seen the rooms here but I expect they are similar to the casino itself. A bit dated, definitely B rate, but good for what it is. We always spend one evening in this area when in vegas. Keep your eyes out for the .99 keychains lol.

Yelp
We were there in March of 2024 and had a great time. The beverage service was quick and we had much fun at the slot machines. We had some good food at the food court and of course our morning coffee and treats. Fun times.

Yelp
March 30th 2024 . I came to visit the Fremont Casino . My husband placed a $5 bill in the machine and the machine didn't activate. It just took the $5 bill. I pushed different buttons no response from the machine so I pressed the service button and waited for assistance. Long story short. I asked the attendant to go look at the video and they could see the machine never activated. In which it didn't. About 15 minutes later this lady come down with security and tell me what time we put the money in and she saw the machine activate. Which was a lie. I was so disappointed to have someone lie in my face like that. My husband just told me to walk off. It wasn't even about the $5. It was how they made me feel knowing that machine never worked for us. That was my first time visiting Vegas and my last time at the Fremont Casino. I went to cash in my voucher from another machine and the cashier was really rude . I don't understand how they take your money then turn on you. Again I wouldn't recommend this casino to anyone with a soul. The people there are savages . I'm only giving it a one star because the first security guard was really nice to us.

Yelp
We loved the friendly, efficient and accommodating service of the front desk at check-in. He was able to arrange a joining rooms with my kids. I was not upset about being charged a resort fee, but we were disappointed to find out that the pool was under construction. No accommodations were made for an alternative location or discounted resort fee. The rooms were clean and well furnished and appreciated daily cleaning.

Yelp
Although renovation had not completed since the last time I was there, the changes are very nice. I really like the new food court that replaced the buffet. I still enjoyed the Lanai Express. Lot more of new slots. Overall I enjoyed my visit at the Fremont.

Yelp
We booked a room for 2 nights for my sister's bday, through Priceline. But before the trip happened, my sis caught Covid. I called Priceline 4 days before the reservation to cancel and get a refund. Could have done it online, but strangely, the Priceline website was saying it would only refund me for the 2nd night, because it was already too late to cancel for the 1st night. Seriously? So I checked Priceline's cancellation policy and it says it requires a 3 day notice for cancellation. I was giving them 4 days notice. So I called them and they said they had to request an approval from the hotel and I would get an answer in a few days. That worried me, because in a few days my reservation would have come up and I wanted this resolved now. I get an email a week later saying no, they were not going to refund me my money, and because that email was so late, I didn't even get to cancel online and get a 50% refund. ........ did I seriously just get caught in some kind of scam? How is it possible that a person can cancel 4 days before a reservation, be forced to wait a week for a response, then be told, "sorry, you asked to cancel too late so you get nothing, not even the 50% refund that was initially offered to you." Or does the Fremont hotel just have a horrible policy of not refunding money to people who try to cancel a reservation with ample notice? Would love a response from management, because Priceline keeps telling me that it's all up to the "hotel's discretion" aka they can do whatever they want...

Yelp
Not a bad place. You get what you pay for... The smoke-free rooms smell like someone smoked in them, earlier that day. Give it a try.

Yelp
I stopped in here to hail a Lyft on my phone with a place to sit instead of outside standing after arriving on the shuttle from Sam's Town. I sat in the registration area in the front of the hotel. I saw the security guard was very nice greeting everyone entering the hotel. He or another greeted all entering when I took the shuttle here in October 2019. Very nice touch. Friendly and welcoming. I have never stayed here but it looked average. Downtown LV is much better than when I came back in 2007-2013. Renovating. Main Street and California hotels are improved. I did walk by a big splat of feces downtown walking from here over to the Downtown Grand entrance to catch my Lyft ride. Nasty but expected most likely due to a gang of homeless zombies making there way around the apocalypse. There are good dining deals and cheap beer and cocktails to entice gamblers here. I did not have time to explore the casino like last time but it is pretty much a smoky casino with slots, card tables, a few restaurants and buffet. This casino has some deals on all to check out. Worth a stop if you are downtown/Fremont Street Experience. It is not far from the mob museum which is around the corner by the Downtown Grand Casino and hotel.

Yelp
I went to the Fremont Hotel and Casino for my birthday this passed weekend and had a great time. my wife and I went to The Filament bar and met Tyler who was our bartender. Tyler was very nice. Made amazing affordable drinks (GodFather) in held great conversation. Tyler had told us about the upgrades that the Fremont hotel and casino had made. I was very impressed and I will go back again.

Yelp
Staff are all friendly and helpful! Construction going on! The elevators were all dirty, from rubbish to what appeared to be water on the floor.... The rooms are clean but small and a bit outdated. Staff came to check after day 2 of our do not disturb sign being up... which we weren't sure if this made us feel taken cared of or we should be concerned. We loved the new food court area!!! Super clean and we enjoyed each of the food vendors!!!

Yelp
First, parking is valet. It's free if you stay, but of course there's tipping. If you want to self park, it's 2 blocks away. Second, rooms are not clean. When looking through the bed sheets, EVERYTHING had a spot on them. Or a hole! Asked front desk for new sheets (only gave us 2) and even those had spots and holes. Their "comforters" are just matress pads sandwiched between 2 sheets. They definitely don't clean those. Bathroom is small and also not clean. You can see all the spots from them "cleaning" it. Found a cheez it in our air conditioner, chips in the corner by the bed. Speaking of the bed, it's hard. Good for those who like a firm mattress, same with pillows. Overall uncomfortable, dirty room. The valet staff was nice. I did like how easy it was to check in and out and to get your bill. That's why I'm giving 2 stars instead of one. All in all.. don't be fooled by the updated look.
