French Society

I went there for dinner on 2025-07-15 with friends, food was great 😋, I really enjoyed their fried layered potatoes! Also I was pretty impressed that the food arrived pretty quickly despite there was only one chef in the kitchen (you can see through a glass window). The tables are kind of close to each other but the general vibe was nice and cozy. I didn’t give them 5 ⭐️ because I thought some of the wine and water glasses could be cleaner but everything else was lovely. I’ll want to go there again for sure - slightly expensive though so probably going to be for an occasion.

Stunning is the best word to describe this little (but gigantic in flavour) restaurant. Environment was very cosy, even though it was almost full, it was quiet and the staff is definitely one of the restaurant best assets. Jasmine was an absolute star, welcomed us and explained the concept, the dishes and even gave us some tips with the truffle nuts! And the food... Outstanding... Please make sure to ordered the steak and the layered potatoes and don't skip the dessert! I have seen comments about the pricing and I would just comment that you it is fairly priced for the atmosphere, the quality of the service and the food full of flavours. Classic French Bistrot food focused on high quality yet reasonably priced dishes - the duck confit, sea bream, mousse and onglet avec pomme frites were highlights for us. Laid back neighbourhood atmosphere, great friendly service and very reminiscent of Parisian apéro culture. Loved it. Bravo.

Absolutely loved this meal. West Hampstead has been crying out for a high quality (low quantity) French spot for years and this is it. Perfect for a date night, or lunch/dinner with friends/fam. Love that it’s on Mill Lane, a road that deserves more attention, and this place will for sure bring that. Interiors are simple classic bistro style, love the window into the kitchen and the open bar. Staff are attentive and friendly. This is 100% going to get booked up in advance so get ahead. We had dinner here on Tue evening, as it was quite warm we were sitting outside. We had the mushroom pate with walnuts as a starter, the escargot, the asparagus, french beans, the croustillant with mushrooms and the potatoes. All was tasty although not a cheap place to have a meal as we knew 🇨🇵. The service was quick and efficient.

Lovely french food in the heart of West Hampstead! The interiors are beautiful and the staff are all so lovely! There’s outdoor seating as well so we decided to have a carafe of wine outside before dining inside (would definitely recommend a bottle > carafe for value though, the carafes are not as cheap as the carafes in France). Mains are a good size and their starters can be easily shared! Will definitely be back!

The perfect date night spot. Really cosy but social atmosphere, where you'll be chatting to the tables next to you by the end of the night. The food was so good we accidentally ended up having 6 courses lol! But you could easily go in for a small bite and a drink and leave just as happy. The creme brulee was so good we ordered a second one as soon as we finished the first! Will definitely be back again and again. A really lovely addition to the area. Run by an absolutely tremendous team, so friendly. Just happened to find the place because I work nearby - but so glad I did, what a gem!

Happy to see such a nice restaurant open in the area - cozy ambiance with tasteful decor, good food, friendly people. Located on the quiet Mill Lane, it’s a great spot for a relaxed meal P.S.
