Frenchy's Sip and Shop

Frenchy's Sip and Shop is a cute, must-visit neighborhood wine and beer bar with a fantastic, laid-back atmosphere. It's truly a great spot to relax and "sip and shop" their unique selection. They don't have a kitchen, but they've curated a perfect menu of snacks: think crusty breads, nice cheeses, and chocolates—all perfect for grazing while enjoying a drink. The Best Features • Dog-Friendly (A huge plus!): Since they don't serve food, dogs are more than welcome inside. This is their most important feature and creates a wonderful, community feel. • Inclusive Drinks: They had an entire cooler section dedicated to non-alcoholic beers, which is a high-value offering for those who don't drink but still want to enjoy the atmosphere. • Attention to Detail: They even have bike hooks mounted right by the front door—a really nice touch for the neighborhood. Overall, I give Frenchy's a high, heavy recommendation. Stop by and see the boys (and bring your dog!) for a chill, friendly experience.

Should’ve written this months ago but Jamie, Oscar, and Craig are the absolute BEST staff ever. I’ve learned so much about wine from each of them. I’m so lucky to have stumbled into this bar. Craig comes up with the most amazing selections of wines each time I visit to add to my collection. Each recommendation is a gem! Jamie will make you feel at home almost instantly with a smile that says you’ve been besties forever. Oscar is the coolest and secretly funniest people I’ve encountered in my time in Charlotte. If you’re ever considering a wine night this is the place to be!

I absolutely loved Frenchy’s Sip and Shop in Charlotte, North Carolina! I walked by it a few times and finally got to try it. We only had wine there because we were going out for dinner after but will definitely go back for a charcuterie board. I absolutely loved their selection. Everything was labeled by type. They had tons of wine and beer. They also had a really good bar list as well! I had the HASEN SPRUNG GRUNER VELTLINER and loved it! The service was fabulous too. Our server was very attentive and friendly! Can’t wait to go back!

Been to Frenchy’s a couple times. Best bartenders and inventory specialist ever. Owners are amazing people and are genuinely passionate about offering customers sustainable and organic wines and have excellent beer options. The prices are very reasonable, great ambiance and vibe, and will be my first stop when visiting Charlotte.

Fantastic wine bar & bottle shop. They have a huge selection of wines including the largest selection of naturals I’ve seen. Whether you’re looking for a bottle or glass (half glasses also available if you’re feeling experimental or just don’t need a full pour), Frenchy’s has you covered. If wine isn’t your thing, grab a local beer or a craft selection from the non alcoholic offerings (NA negroni? cold brew? whatever floats your boat!). Be sure to order an espresso to wake up before you head out - the presentation is not to be missed. The owners and employees will bring a smile to your face, lightening & brightening your day. Everything here is intentional and curated, from the libations to the vibes. This is definitely the new hot spot in Southend.

Love this place. Everyone is beyond amazing and so knowledgeable! Vibe is also excellent - I love that they opened in south end! My favorite wine bar in Charlotte.

Such a great addition to South End! They've been in the neighborhood for little over a year. I'm so happy they are here! We love Frenchys! Chris and Jamie are always so kind and super knowledgeable. If you're looking to split a bottle with your friends, have one glass or take a bottle home with you; YOU CAN DO THAT. If you haven't finished your bottle, they will cap it for you and place it in a paper bag for you to enjoy later. Check this out though: ONE, they have a 'build your own charcuterie board' bar. TWO, Tuesday's they do not charge a corkage fee which is normally $10. THREE, take your ass to Frenchys. PERIOD.

Love this wine bar! The decor and open layout feel airy, inviting, and just the right amount of cozy. Whether you're stopping in for a quick sip or settling in for a longer evening, this is the place to be They have an impressive wine selection and a fun variety of canned spirits that make it easy to find something you'll love. I haven't tried the food yet, but I can't wait to come back and sip my way through more of the menu!

Chris and Mikey do a truly phenomenal job! The staff is knowledgable and helpful in finding great wines. They also have various meats, cheeses and other items to make your own charcuterie board available for purchase. There is a paid parking lot nearby too so parking is not a problem. Their by the glass list is always changing and has something for everyone! The vibe is laid back, no crazy bar vibes, no TVs, just wine and relaxation.

They have the best selection of wines in Charlotte. I challenge you to find a better selection. For the price point and the selection, they even beat Barcelona. $10 corkage fee except on Tuesday, there's no corkage fee that day so go then. They have a decent selection of beer as well. Very boutique but I'm sure the owner is amenable to suggestions. Ambiance is clean and crisp. They can probably fit a few more tables in the upper level, and definitely need some patio tables during the summer. They should be busier...

Stopped by on Sunday afternoon for a lil glass of wine with my mom and sister. This place is so cute inside. We sat at the bar to enjoy our wine. My mom and I both ordered "the light white" wine which was fabulous! My sister did not order a beverage but they had plenty of non alcoholic choices in the coolers as well as water. They offer charcuterie as a build your own which is unique. You can grab a board a items from the market side to make it yourself but the items are a la carte. The bartenders were all super friendly and made sure we were welcoming and happy with our choices which I always appreciate. I will definitely come back soon!

Adorable wine and charcuterie bar in South End. Great selection of wine with a variety of domestic and international wines. Friendly staff! Such a cute place to catch up with friends or date night! Highly recommend!

Wine selection was great, I got a half pour of the Berger ($6) and it was delectable. They had an amazing list of wines to choose from. The lighting was intimate, was great for a GNO or would be a cute date spot. We came 30 mins to close and the staff was still helpful and friendly which I highly appreciated.

Had a wine tasting with 12 friends and was blown away by the hospitality of the owners. Wine was excellent. Price points are affordable. Great ambiance. Music was on point. Highly recommend!
