My visit to Fresh Baguette in Washington, D.C. was a great breakfast experience that perfectly combined quality food with a relaxed atmosphere. The moment I entered, the aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries filled the air, giving the café an authentic and inviting feel. The space is bright, clean, and has a simple charm that makes it ideal for enjoying a quiet morning meal or a quick coffee before starting the day.
I ordered a sunny-side-up egg sandwich with avocado and homemade oregano aioli, asking for it without bacon or tomato, and it was served exactly as requested. The eggs were perfectly cooked with soft yolks, the avocado fresh, and the aioli added a subtle herby flavor that complemented every bite. I paired it with an Americano, smooth and well balanced. The highlight, however, was the CRO’GEL — a buttery, flaky croissant shaped like a bagel and topped with classic everything seasoning. The perfect blend of French finesse and New York boldness — a Fresh Baguette signature you won’t forget.
The staff were polite, attentive, and handled special requests easily. Fresh Baguette is a must-visit for anyone in D.C. looking for fresh, thoughtfully prepared breakfast in a cozy and welcoming setting.
