We were excited to try someplace new here in Murfreesboro. And who doesn't love some good Cuban food!?!?! Unfortunately, Fresh Bite left us with a bitter taste in our mouth. The good...Havana Mex burrito, with added chicken, was very good. Everything was hot and generous portions. The restaurant smells really good and was clean. -also, happy hour drinks until seven, Two dollars off menu price. Although we were never asked if we would like more than the one drink we split. The margarita did not taste like it had lime juice, but rather very sweet margarita mix, garnished with a slice of lemon (not lime.) I did request limes, and they brought me two wedges, at no additional charge. The bad...The Cuban sandwich was certainly hot and a large enough sandwich BUT, the pork was NOT fresh. To me, It had the unpleasant taste of being left over and reheated. I understand they probably don't want to waste the food but when you pay that much money for your food you want it to at least taste like it's fresh. *My real 'beef' with the Pork sandwich was it didn't cut the mustard (puns intended!) In fact, there was hardly any mustard on a sandwich. And I was counting on that mustard to help disguise the less than pleasant reheated pork flavor. (***see picture for the amount of mustard.***) Instead of complaining, we simply asked the waitress for some mustard. She brought us out a very small plastic ramekin with some mustard. The ugly...It wasn't until after we left that I noticed we were charged $ .99 for that mustard in addition to $.99 for a side of ranch (yes, for the fries.) One dollar is a little steep for a very small side of run-of-the-mill ranch. However, I can understand being charged for the ranch, but mustard? Especially when they had added hardly any on the sandwich. I did call to offer my thoughts on being charged for mustard...for the sandwich that was supposed to have mustard. The gentleman I spoke with, Daniel, did say he would offer me 15% off if I came back in for a future meal as compensation. He was very nice and seemed to understand being charged a dollar for mustard might have been a little much. I told him I appreciate the offer but really just wanted to let him know the waitress should really let the customer know before charging them for a basic condiment that should have been included in their meal. I'm not sure if they are usually as slow as they were tonight (we were one of three tables being utilized.) After our experience this evening, I don't think we will be back. $44 for two meals, and one happy hour drink... it wasn't the Fresh Bite we were hoping for😣

It was 8:45p and we had a 45 minute drive ahead of us…with two hungry toddlers. We hadn’t realized that the restaurant closed at 9p yet the owner welcomed us in. He was patient with us and encouraged us to order whatever we wanted. He could have been impatient and had an ugly attitude with us because of the time, but that was not the case. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals! The flavors were incredible and everything was cooked perfectly and nicely presented…again, we are past closing time at this point. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. As parents, we look for kid-friendliness and a family friendly environment. This had both. They also have a changing table in the bathroom, which is something we look for when dining with young ones. We would and have recommended this restaurant and look forward to our next visit!

Fresh Bite Cuban American Cuisine offers a uniquely delectable experience with their Latin Bowl, a flavorful combination of rice, beans, pico de gallo, & guacamole. Each ingredient is perfectly seasoned, creating a delicious blend of textures & tastes. The Ham Croquettes appetizer is amazing, with a crispy exterior and savory, melt-in-your-mouth filling. The top-notch service enhances the dining experience, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant visit. The fun atmosphere makes Fresh Bite a standout destination for those seeking authentic and delicious Cuban American cuisine. I’d highly recommend you stopping by ! ✨

Google
I love Cuban food. I was very excited to try this place out while visiting my mom in the hospital. I was a bit disappointed. It could have been an off day so give it a try and test it out for yourself. My food was delicious, I had the Cuban and some plantains. I was not overly impressed with the plantains but my Cuban was yummy. My husband had the nachos and said they were very good, and my kids loved their cheeseburgers and fries. I felt like the odd kids at a family reunion when I showed up though, like I was out of place. It was kinda slow but it took ages for someone to come check on us for our food or drinks. It was a place I am glad I tried out but not a place I must have and would drive the 45 minutes to again.

Google
First time trying Cuban food. I had the sampler and the Cuban. The Cuban sandwich was ok. To me the mustard was overbearing but this maybe how it is supposed to for this sandwich. The empanada was good and the croquet was too. The rice was hard and the black beans were more of a soup. I’m still glad I tried it but it’s just not for my pallet. The waitress was nice but her answers to my questions when ordering were short. She did not persuade me or sell it to me. Waitresses should know the menu and what dish is their signature dish.

Google
Lots of restaurants around this area but ended up with Cuban. We were 45 minutes from home and it’s hard to find Cuban. This place was amazing. Started of with cafe con leche. Food was great and came out quickly. We tried the ham croquettes and the garbanzo soup. Both delicious. Loved the sauce with the croquettes, and loved the flavor of the soup. Our entrees were ropa vieja and vaca frita. Both excellent. Had enough there to take half home and enjoy the next day. We also ordered a sandwich cubano and pan con bistec to go for later. Both excellent after a few minutes reheated in the oven. However I wished we ate them fresh. It’s a little far but if we’re ever in the area again, will definitely come back.

Google
Friendly service Ham croquettes were good. Maduros ( sweet plaintain fry) was very good. Less greasy and correct level of sweetness. White rice and black beans were good. Spicy bourbon glazed chicken was disappointing Flan was good

Google

Yelp
Fast friendly service. The food was delicious, my favorite item was the potato ball and sauce. The empanadas were good, the outside was really thick. Everything was good. The meat tasted a bit "stale". Overall great apps.

Yelp
My visit to Fresh Bite was my first time trying Cuban food, but it definitely wasn't my last! We ordered the Sandwich Cubano, Ham Croquettes, and the Sampler. Everything was delicious! The plantains were the main standout. For a weekend, we found the restaurant strangely empty, but the service was fast. I'll definitely be back to try more!

Yelp
If you're looking for a good sandwich, they have a couple good ones. They weren't blow my mind amazing, but they were nice to try.

Yelp
First time ever having Cuban food. Chose a good spot to try it. Food was excellent, service was excellent and the restaurant was clean and friendly. Will definitely be back again!!

Yelp
Growing up around authentic Cuban food makes me sad that fresh bite could not compete. Really wish I could like this place. We got Ropa vieja with arroz morro and not impressed at all. The rice was real bland and there was nothing special about the Ropa vieja. Will not be going back.

Yelp
Fresh Bite What a joy to write a review about a restaurant my wife and I enjoyed immensely during a recent lunch. We started with Garbanzo Soup which was a hit with both my wife and me. Hot, combo of tender beans with just a hint of "tooth," flavored with bits of tomato, green pepper, and loads of spices, the soup was comforting and satisfying: not quite thick enough to call it stew and thin enough to call it soup. This was a 5-star hit with both of us. Next up was the Sampler 305 with a variety of savory items along with slightly sweet fried plantain. Chicken Empanada - crisp and flaky fried shell pastry...but with a paucity of chicken filling. The bit of chicken inside was tasty but overwhelmed by the amount of wrapping (dough). Both were good, but lacked balance. Ham Croquette - crisply deep fried bite of delight. (My wife is not a big fan of ham...BUT...oh my! how she loved these delightful bites - similar in size to a fat breakfast sausage link or mozzarella stick.) Could have eaten more... Cuban Tamal - Having lived in South America for several years (and traveling extensively) I have enjoyed tamales from across Latin America and the Caribbean. Today's tamal was at the absolute top of the chart for flavor, texture, and simple enjoyment. It was visually similar to most others I've sampled - a corn masa "log' (apparently) steamed in corn husk. More often than not I've found these fairly dry and bland. BUT, today's differed significantly in moisture and taste. It had the common masa body, but was a bit less dense with a moist, creamy, savory interior. Bits of pork and onion graced the top - along with a splash of citrusy criollo sauce. Mojo Criollo Sauce (condiment for dipping): citrusy, garlicky marinade that has a tangy flavor with just a hint of sourness. OK The Papa Rellena on the sampler platter fell short of our expectations. To wit: a deep fried ball of unseasoned (at least I couldn't taste herbs or spices) mashed potatoes surrounding a core of rather flavorless ground meat. Crunchy and creamy combo but not much more. My Cuban Ropa Vieja sandwich was flavorful: stewed beef with peppers and stringy cheese (check my photo). Unfortunately, the bun was over pressed (OR dry) and did not have the flaky/crispy toasted exterior I expected. I would still order this again but ask for a slightly shorter press so as to not dry out the bread. Wrapping things up: Flan with delightful, traditional caramel sauce (but body a bit "firm" and not creamy. And a hot, rich Expresso. Fortunately the sugar was served on the side - this flavor bomb didn't need it...robust and rich. ¡Perfecto!

Yelp
We had Cuban sandwich, chicken sandwich, beef empenadas, potato ball, plantains, guava pastry, and French fries. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. It's difficult to find good restaurants these days. This is a winner. So good. Great service. The ambiance was uplifting but not loud. We will be back. I highly recommend Fresh Bite!

Yelp
Service was not there. The lady serving us got snappy with my Honduran boyfriend because he thought she said they had agua de Jamaica & after he asked for one instead of saying that they didn't have any she continued to lecture us on how "this is not a Mexican restaurant" which we knew upon selecting this place. I then asked if the Mate drink (on their menu) was hot or cold and she kept correcting me saying "Malta" so after going back and fourth for a while I pointed to the menu and said "Malta & Mate are different" she seemed to be argumentative from the beginning which unfortunately made our experience not so good. The papa fritas were delicious but the bistec sandwich was tough to bite into and dry. The entire piece of meat would come out each time I tried to take a bite so I ended up leaving hungry.

Yelp
what a delicious way to enjoy a wonderful meal together after volunteering in the community! Our Molly Maid of SE Davidson and Rutherford County Team loved every bite of this hidden gem Cuban restaurant!!!

Yelp
Excellent salmon skillet dish, also enjoyed the apps- tamales and chicken empanadas. My family ate the Cuban sandwich and the chicken sandwich. Everything was fresh, hot and tasty
google avatar

Larry B.

Yelp
The food was perfect. The salmon was grilled to perfection with a crispy caramelized crust and flaked with a fork. The rice and veggies were a great accompaniment. The chicken was also very nicely grilled with a wonderful Cuban roll. Newish server who performed well even while learning.

Yelp
I've always ordered on Uber eats, I haven't been in yet! The Ropa Vieja with Moro, the chicken empanadas and the round ball with meet inside I cnt remember the name lol are WOW SOOO DELICIOUS idk what red sauce the empanadas come with but man that's FIRE also sooo good!! I am so glad I found this spot. I am from Florida and Tennesse doesn't have a lot of choices when it comes to Spanish food. They are stuck with me

Yelp
I am so glad thatFresh Bite has come to Murfreesboro. I love their plantains and their Cuban tamales. I will say that I have had much better Cuban Sandwich, but I'm not going to complain because they have other items that are very good

Yelp
I've been on the search for good Cuban food ever since my favorite place in Nashville shut down. My boyfriend ordered the Pan con Bistec, which is steak sandwich. I ordered the Cuban Combo, which comes with Lechon Asada, Ropa Vieja, and 2 sides. The Lechon Asada, which is pulled pork seasoned with spices and vinegar, was much juicier than the other. The Ropa Vieja, which is shredded roast beef, wasn't as flavorful in my opinion. I decided to get arroz moro as a side, which is black beans mixed into rice. I felt it was really dry. My other side was fried green plantains, which were crisp and seasoned with mashed garlic rubbed onto the top. The food was okay, but $50 feels steep for a dinner for two of this level.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place. It was clean. Good service. The Cubano sandwich was smashed into a cracker. Most of the food was unseasoned. The croquettes sauce was delicious. My son ordered a grilled cheese, and they made it with two bottom hamburger buns. Very small portions of fries (which were actually the tastiest part.) Only gave 2 stars because service and drinks were good. Otherwise no stars. I wanted to go back to Key West when I walked in. Sadge.

Greg W.

Yelp
Local place with great Cuban food and great service? Never had a bad experience here.

Yelp
Came here for lunch today and it wasn't busy at all which was a bit of a surprise. Got seated right away and our drinks came out quickly. Ordered an appetizer which was really good it was like a ball of mash potatoes with meat mixture in the inside then deep fried. Then we each ordered a sandwich mine was the classic Cubano and my husband got the ham and cheese croquette sandwhich . Both had alot of good flavor and cheesy with tender meat. Price isn't bad for the portion sizes. Would definitely come back again to try more items.

Yelp
I was searching Yelp (as always) for a new place to eat in the Murfreesboro area. Fresh Bite had good reviews so in we went. The first thing that is super important to me is the level of service. Our server was on point throughout our meal. Twice during our meal, the manager or owner swung by the table to ask if everything was good with the meal and service. I have several pics that I have attached, but unfortunately, I have waited too long after my visit to remember what they all are. We did try several appetizers, there was salmon, and two carne sandwiches. I will return in the future after my circle of other restaurants in the area.

LiLian B.

Yelp
We've had our fair share of cuban food from living in Ft. Lauderdale for years. I'm most disappointed with the cuban sandwich here, the meat was very dry and tasted old. The meat that they out on top of tamales was also very very dry and old tasting. 3 stars for the tostones (pictured), ham croquettes and potato ball. I don't think we'll be back but it was worth a try/visit for sure.

Yelp
Stopped here for a driving vacation overnight stop. Go with the Authentic dishes. The vegetarian in our party loved the rustic veggie sandwich, carnivores loved nachos, speciality entrees & yuca sides and the variety of sandwiches too. Stop for a mojito or upper-scale Rum selections. Nice experience with familiar yet different flavors for a very tasty vacation. If you're in the area be sure to enjoy. Best, Sean J. Brady #BradyEats

Yelp
I had the beef empanadas, Moro rice and sweet plantains. All of it was delicious!!! A must try in my opinion. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes.

Yelp
Went to Fresh Bite Restaurant for the first time a week ago, and returned tonight. The food was excellent and service to match. We will definitely be returning.

Yelp
While not my first visit to Fresh Bite, I always realize it's been too long between visits. Tonight tried the "special" Cuban Combo of roasted pork and shredded beef that came with rice and black beans. I also noticed on the menu a dish called Carne con Papas which is the Cuban version of beef stew. They were kind enough to provide me a small sample of this dish...INCREDIBLE!!! Not your normal beef stew, more of a tomato base and so rich in flavor. The roasted pork was great and I love the marinated onions mixed in with the pork. The shredded beef...INCREDIBLE!!! The flavors of the beef that was marinated in a tomato based sauce was so good. The black beans served here are some of the best I've enjoyed, the "juice" mixed with the rice is soooooo good. Suffice to say...this place is a gem here in Murfreesboro serving up some incredible Cuban foods.
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
We tried this place based on the reviews. We were shocked to walk into a completely empty restaurant. Covid, maybe? We were greeted by a nice man who took our orders. There was 3 in our party and everyone ordered something different. Ordered among us was: Ham Croquettes Philly Cheesesteak Ropa Vieja Pechuga de pollo The specials came with rice and black beans, plus the BEST fried plantains I've ever had!! Great service and great food.

Yelp
They were good, but just failed to wow me. We wend there for lunch and I ordered the lunch special of the picadillo and it was a nice portion size. I also had the Cafe Cubano, Cafe con Leche and a mango and cheese pastry. Picadillo was good and nicely flavored, but as I ate into it more, it got salty. Served with black beans, I found them bland. Usually, they are seasoned more. The rice was well cooked and fluffy. Cafe Cubano is always great. Cafe con Leche was served nice and hot and was a good accompaniment to the pastry. While the pastry was good, it looked deflated and did not have enough of the filling that I would have liked to have seen. My wife got the Spinach Empanadas and really liked them. They were filled nicely with not air pockets, but she did say they were smaller than she expected. I tasted the sauce they came with and found it quite good. We did have some language issues with our server and had to make sure she got our order right. The place is very clean, airy and well decorated. Prices were just fine. Since it is across town, I don't think we will be visiting it often, but try it for yourself. I see my rating is not consistent with the overall ratings.

Yelp
This place was absolutely disgusting!!! Not only did it take a while for our food to come out but our order was completely wrong.. and we still had to pay for the meal.. My friend and I ordered 2 Chicken Empanadas, 2 potato balls, and the Havana Nachos. When our order finally arrived to our table everything was wrong. We first got our Empanadas. 1 was Chicken and 1 was beef. ( We asked for two chicken empanadas) Then the potato balls were dropped off and both plates had hair on them!! And they were stuffed with beef which was not displayed on the menu or we would not have ordered them. They were bland, unseasoned and was very very dry. Then the main course came... When it arrived we immediately noticed it was wrong! * The Havana Nachos came with tortilla chips, black beans, grilled peppers and onion with beef, melted cheese, guacamole and sour cream on top. - What we got: Tortilla chips drowned in black bean water, pulled pork, pepper and sour cream. NO GUACAMOLE- NO MELTED CHEESE- NO BEEF. We were also told the the dish was going to be made with pulled chicken.. When we told our waitress she looked at us like we were crazy and that she didn't understand. She then passed us off to her manager to take care of. He brought out another empanada that was chicken to correct the one that was wrong. * We asked him to not bring one out because we didn't want it. But he did anyways. After we mentioned the other things that were wrong with our order to our new waitress which was a Busser... and she told the manager that was staring at our table for the rest of out meal after our first interaction. He did nothing and still charged us $40 dollars for food that was incorrect and frankly absolutely disgusting!! If Gordon Ramsey walked into this place he'd shut it down asap! This was by far one of the worst restaurants I have eaten at in a long long time.. and it was so disappointing considering the other reviews on here. Honestly, If I could leave a less than one star review I would! Personally I think that if you want true Cuban food then you're better off going elsewhere. Enjoy the not so lovely pictures of the food that was given to us.

Yelp
I have to say this place is refreshing. The people work really hard to make sure you enjoy your experience. Super clean they were always wiping stuff down. The wings are one of the best I've had yet in the Boro. There full of flavor and crispy not under cooked or over cooked just perfect. The Cuban sand which is the best I've had in a long time. I can't wait to come back and try more menu items. Keep doing what you guys are doing and I'll be a lifetime eater here.

Yelp
We just moved to Murfreesboro from Miami Fl. We were extremely excited to find a "Cuban" restaurant. Both my husband and I are cuban and we really miss our comfort food. We really just wanted our basics, we ordered the croquetas, pan con mantequilla (toast with butter), a café con leche (coffee with milk), pastelito de guayaba (guava pastry), tamales, and a Cuban sandwich with a side of frijoles (black beans) !!THIS FOOD IS NOTHING LIKE REAL CUBAN FOOD!! It lacked in flavor and authenticity. The café con Leche tasted watered down, and both the pastelito de guayaba, and tamales tasted like the frozen ones you buy at Publix and stick in the oven. And as for the black beans.. im 100% sure they were a can of Goya beans freshly opened. And I'm not sure what kind of sandwich we ate but it was NOT A CUBAN SANDWICH. The only decent thing there was the croquetas but even at that they definitely didn't taste like what we are used to. As well as lacking in authenticity and flavor ... THEY ARE WAY OVER PRICED! And the portions are NOTHING like what you get at a real Cuban restaurant. But If you're not Cuban and or and have never tasted REAL Cuban food then maybe you don't care. But we were really sad and disappointed. I don't usually write reviews but I was so sad after eating there and frustrated being away from home that I felt I needed to. The owner says he's Cuban, I feel like he should work harder at making the food TRUE and AUTHENTIC for those here searching for it.

Yelp
Wow. Im really not even sure what to say. I crave restaurants like this that serve quality, authentic food. The service was great, the food was hot and extremely fresh. Folks, this is LEGIT cuban food in the BORO! We snagged the cubano and the pan con bistec with some platanos and both were excellent. Great juice selection, café cubano, and they serve a full bar. Thank you, FRESH BITE. You have a new customer that is very excited to return!

Natalie G.

Yelp
This place was horrible and not worth the trip nor the money. Born and raised in a Cuban family with Cuban food every Christmas, fresh bite is anything but. Ten minutes after leaving this restaurant my husband threw up his food and he has never done that before.

Ellen G.

Yelp
The sampler was amazing. It was cooked fresh and good to the last bit. The drinks were great as well. The waitress Diana was very good.
google avatar

Chan S.

Yelp
3.5 at the most. It wasn't bad. The place is nice and clean. There were no sticky floors nor sticky tables. They come short when it comes to seasoning on the roasted chicken. It was missing something. It hot and fresh, but it didn't seem like there were any basic seasoning like a little salt or pepper. There was salt and pepper on the table, and some habaneros hot sauce. Again, it was bad. Maybe, I should try other stuff. The prices were on the high side. Again, it wasn't bad. I really wanted to save a trip to Florida to get my Cuban fix, but I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up.

Tay T.

Yelp
I love their food but my problem is I called into place a to go meal. The lady answered the phone, when I told her what I wanted she just held the phone then hung up. Called back she didn't even say anything just held the phone. Kind of disappointed because I loved the place.
google avatar

Deb H.

Yelp
Service was fantastic. Food was very good but so expensive. We were a party of 4 (one was a child) and lunch was $80 including tip. We asked for shrimp and fries for our child's plate and they charged us $20 which I thought was unacceptable. Go there if you don't mind spending that much on a meal.

Steve E.

Yelp
Passing through, wanted to try something different. Food was very good. Unfortunately, the music was so loud you couldn't understand the server and it was almost impossible to carry on a conversation.
google avatar

Ana D.

Yelp
Food was delicious and service is outstanding. Being a Cuban from Miami, I can honestly say that it is worth the trip if you want authentic Cuban cuisine. Ropa Vieja, Yuca Frita, y Pan Con Bistec, oh my!!
google avatar

Jo S.

Yelp
Best Cuban restaurant EVER!!! The food is authentic and delicious, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the food was ready pretty quickly. We liked it so much we went back again the next evening even tho there are plenty of other places around there to choose from. The cranberry chicken salad was delicious! That was the most chicken I've ever seen on a salad! Hubby got the Cuban combo the first time, it was delicious, flavors were delightful and it was a good size portion. We also had the sampler platter and the salmon platter. All of it was amazing. If you appreciate good quality fresh tasting food and amazing service, you'll want to check this place out!
google avatar

Eileen L.

Yelp
The appetizers were good but I make a better Cuban and I'm French. Dry and flavorless. I feel like I would go back to try again.
google avatar

Yelp
I wish Yelp had half stars because I'd probably make this 3.5, but rounding up to 4! Our server was excellent! She was really nice and made great suggestions. We ordered pitchers of mojitos and outside of being a little light on lime, they were excellent! Plenty of fresh mint. For the rest, it was okay. We ordered the nachos and it was bagged shredded cheese that wasn't even sort of melted, and the tiniest amount of sour cream and guac. The vegetarian option of my veggie sandwich was good, but definitely needed a sauce and pretty bad. My husband's sandwich (beef of some sort, should have paid attention) was in the same boat. He asked for a sauce of some sort and they brought Choulula. The yuca frites were good, but like $5 for only 4 or so. It's in a strip mall so ambience isn't quite there for the pricing, but ya know. Bathroom was super clean and smelled good! Servers wore masks for those who appreciate that. Probably not in a rush to go back, but wasn't fully disappointed either.

Yelp
DELICIOUS!! Will definitely be back --Empanadas, tostones the Cuban combo and the flan! Sorry no pics (inhaled the deliciousness!!)

Yelp
Went to this place on just trying something new, my girlfriend been asking to get something to eat from here since we moved to the area, when I comes something different then your typical American , or Asian or even Tex-mex, this the spot I had the spicy bourbon chicken.... It was a great choice and of course got try the wings lemon pepper, and the were pretty good I must say. And the beans and rice was perfect....

Yelp
There's always that one person who seems to not like what everyone else raves about. I expect to really enjoy a meal out, so when I don't, I feel that I need to objectively point out why. I don't want to be a spoiler or throw shade unfairly. I'm just going to give an honest review of my experience. I didn't love it. We were excited to try it, as we miss Pollo Tropical and saw some similar item on the menu. We started with maduros and yuca frita. I don't like maduros but my wife does and she said they were good. The yuca fries were also good, but 4 pieces for 5 dollars isn't a good value in my opinion. The yuca also needs to come with salsa of some kind. These had a scant drizzle of garlic sauce. It needs more. The entrees... I tried the Cuban burger. She had the ropa vieja. The ropa vieja is shredded pot roast in a criolla sauce. The meat was flavorful and a good portion but nothing special. The black beans that came with it are nice but nothing special. The tostones we're big...needed to be crispier. The were on the plate being soaked in the ropa vieja juice and got mushy. So while the flavor was good the plating needed improvement. So a decent entree but nothing special. My wife is central American so she knows what to expect from this kind of food. She said it was "ok". I thought it a bit better than that. The Cuban burger was not good at all. The burger was under seasoned and quite dry surprisingly. It was supposed to come with ham and pulled pork. The amount of pulled pork on it was laughable. Maybe a teaspoon of it. The onions were dried out and tough. The ham was lunch meat. There was "swiss" cheese on it as well...basically white American cheese. I was really disappointed in it. Dry, lacked flavor, below average. Fries were decent. Hot and crispy. The burger was 15 dollars which is what angers me about it. What I got for that price was unacceptable. For dessert we had two guava turnovers. They were nice. Nothing special. They were not home made...probably a frozen item cooked in store. All in all nearly 60 dollars with tip. We agreed that we would not go back. Cheers to all who loved their food. We did not.

Yelp
Food was good. Good flavor and play cuban/Latin inspired music. Have full bar. Ordered more empanadas to go...for later. The empanadas are really good.

Yelp
Fast fresh and full of wonderful cuban flavors! I ordered the chicken Cuban sandwich but they gave me the steak sandwich as seen in the pictures . I also ordered chicken empanadas and the stuffed potato ball thing (sorry i forgot the name). Then i walked over and noticed that they had fresh pastries!!! I had to try just one! I chose the cheese. It was surprisingly sweet but decadent at the same time and the pastry was so tasty and crisp. My only complaint was the sandwich mix up! Everything else was absolutely deliciousness!!!

Yelp
This spot has been several different ownership with different foods of course. But I just hate that they were not busy. Hoping more peoples will come support them. Their food is delicious and very friendly nice service. Had the chicken Cuban sandwich. Big enough to have fed two people. Menu offers a variety of selections. With brunch menu also. I love empanadas and they have it here! Soon I will be back for empanadas.

Yelp
So as usual, I am always looking for good Cuban food. It's in my blood, and I grew up on the best of Cuban and Spanish cuisine. But, it is rare to find a place up in TN! And then, the husband found Fresh Bite... He brought home the prize I relish most for lunch - a Cuban sandwich. This sandwich alone will strip the wannabe places from authentic in a heartbeat. Seems easy enough - Cuban bread, roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, dill pickle, mustard. Assemble the sandwich and then cook on a sandwich press - very important to use that press and don't go easy on it! So there I was with this beautiful sight before my hungry eyes! I dug right in and grinned!! It was heaven on my tongue! Proper amount of dill pickle slices, juicy ham, moist roast pork, and the tang of Swiss cheese, with just a hint of mustard! My only critique is he needs to go a little heavier on la plancha! I loved it! There were fries added, too. They are respectable but paled in comparison to the glory of the sandwich! I am now on the hook to go in person! I heard they have ropa vieja. Ohhhh, I miss my mother's ropa vieja right about now and am dying to know if theirs is just as divine!! This is a HUGE thumbs up for Fresh Bite from a South Florida native.

Yelp
Do you see the 5 star reviews left for this place?! Yup! It's for a reason. Fresh Bite is what I call a hidden gem. We came in for breakfast but we will be back for some Cuban sandwiches. I was really impressed with the service today. The place was sparkling clean, including the bathrooms! We came at a time when it wasn't busy but our food came out super fast, was delicious and "fresh". There were no cons, no room for improvement because the place was perfect. There are menus right at the door and then more at the front. I like the layout so that on busy days the line stays off to the right and is blocked off away from the seating area! We'll be back! Thank you for a delicious meal!
