Fresh Boston - South Boston

Lovely, clean, fresh, friendly - I ordered the chicken Caesar kale salad, it was awesome and croutons were made fresh. They had a lunch special which included beer on tap for $20! The vibe was chill and the place was really clean, lots of natural light. My server was really friendly and made me feel at home. I will definitely be back!

Fresh Boston is Amazing! The staff is very friendly and gave good recommendations. They have daily specials and serve you at the table. The food tasted great. Large portions too! Relaxing atmosphere and clean restrooms.

Great sandwiches! Although expensive, these are probably the best sandwiches in southie. The Chicken pita is particularly excellent. Drinks aren’t bad either! The staff is always friendly and they always have extra events happening too.

After a freezing beach trip with our dog on January 1st, we stumbled upon this buzzing café while searching for coffee and a restroom. The place was packed with cheerful energy, and we even stayed inside with our dog until our food was ready. Though it wasn’t a coffee spot, we decided to try a pulled pork sandwich and smoothies. The sandwich, served on fresh focaccia with cheese was easily one of the best we’ve ever had. We’ll definitely be back!

We ordered Fresh for a car ride wanted sandwiches for the road and the bread was so stale and hard we couldn’t eat it. I’m sure they are trying to make the bread last as much as possible with food costs, but this used to have amazing bread when it First opened. Not worth the $ at all!

The sandwiches here speak for themselves. I usually write long reviews but just trust me, come here for a sandwich. Amazing!

Fresh South Boston is the absolute place to be! From the drinks to the delicious sandwiches, you cannot go wrong. We frequent at Fresh at least once a week, and aside from the unreal food, the people keep us coming back! The owners and the managers are incredibly friendly, accommodating and know how to provide an A+ experience. We've been attending the various monthly events that the restaurant puts on and they have been a blast. My favorite part about this place is the range. Whether you need a post workout smoothie, a beach sandwich to bring down to Carson or a post work week cocktail, Fresh has got you covered!

Had the most AMAZING bridal shower for my future daughter-in-law. Everything was perfect. Working with Claire and the team, everything went soooo smoothly. The guests were blown away by the food, cocktails and the venue. Thanks so much Fresh!

This is a cute little spot away from the main drag of Southie! We went pretty early for dinner on a Friday and the place was quiet, seemed like everybody already left town for the summer weekend. I preferred it like that, though, it's hard to find a place in Southie that's not a crazy scene! The Peter Peter Caesar Caesar I ordered was delicious - the focaccia bread was soft and held up well to the hefty toppings. I loved the addition of sun-dried tomatoes, it added a nice brightness to the sandwich. The zucchini fritters were also a hit, the lemon and chive sauce it came with was top notch. They have a handful of beers on tap, but only a couple were local craft brews. Always happy to find Maine Beer Co. on tap around here though! The green velvet high-top chairs look very luxe at first glance, but they were surprisingly lightweight, and the swivel felt a bit flimsy. The decor was otherwise cute and I loved the chill vibes of the place. They also have a decent selection of beer, wine, and liquor that you can buy to-go. The sandwiches are a little pricey (but what isn't these days?), but I'd still stop back in here for some tasty food and nice drinks!

Great place for those in the South Boston area! We went multiple times during peak lunch times and still felt we were served at a reasonable speed. Never disappointed with any of the sandwiches that I've ordered! I also love the decor and overall ambiance! Check out their Instagram for all their fun events!

One of my favorite sandwhich spots in Boston. Great vibe - always bright, great service and good spot to watch a game. Spicy bloody - very good Boozy coffee (Southie Screwie)- good but a little sweet Bagel sandwich (Wake n'Bacon) - good twist on a traditional breakfast sandwich. Focaccia sandwich (Island Mambo) - a big sandwich but very good. Just the right amount of truffle flavor, not too strong.

Real nice ambiance and chill spot. Sort of in a sneaky location, but not too far from.Broadway. Great bartenders + TVs.

Cool setup with liquor display on the shelves for purchase. Haven't had a chance to try the sandwiches but the drinks were pretty good off the menu. The waitresses and owner was very nice and Welcoming. So far pretty good impression here and will definitely try the sandwich for lunch next time .

Really cool place, I came here for Mother's Day and we all enjoyed our sandwiches. About $15 + on average for a sandwich and they also have cocktails. A good place for brunch with family

I ordered THE MOTO GUZZI ($23) for takeout, got to my apartment and the sandwich was made incorrectly. I know the arugula and cheese were left off and unsure about the honey as I couldn't really taste it. I called the establishment twice that day and left voicemails, hoping for the sandwich to be remade, get a voucher for another sandwich, or a refund - though they never responded. I contacted them the following day and still never heard from them. This review is regarding their customer service & sandwich making - had their prices not been so exuberant than it might have been 'whatever' but a sandwich $20+ should be pretty close to perfect The bread was delicious - that is the only reason for 2 stars

This is a neighborhood hidden gem. The food was fantastic. The bloody Mary's restaurant. The staff is friendly and responsive. I would highly recommend.

This place was so cute! So happy I found it. I ordered the tomato and mozzarella sandwich with pesto and blackened chicken and it was delicious! Bread was baked with olive oil and with a perfect crunch. The place itself was beautifully decorated with a boho vibe. Very clean and everyone was so kind. One woman offered me a water when she didn't see that I ordered a drink to eat with my meal. Highly recommend. You can eat and drink as well. I will be returning!

Bomb food and great staff! The big Morty is probably the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. The Mac and cheese is rediculously delicious everything is just sooo good

Fresh .... Literally, from the food to the drinks to the vibrant smiles behind the bar. This place changed my life. Izzy and Aeisha were super friendly and informative about everything they had to offer. 10/10 must try!

To be clear, I will be back to order food here. My only gripe is that why should anyone pay 17 dollars for a salad that is the size of a quarter? Like how do you expect people to re-order salads when they are duped into paying 17 bucks for a side salad? Any other place in southie provides way more salad for less money. It's just a bummer, you spend all of that money to make it a super nice place and then jack up the prices across the board. I'm sure the sandwiches are great, but if you're looking for a meal, I'd avoid the salads as they are a side salad size and not fulfilling.

Such a great new spot in Southie! The sandwiches are amazing. Boston needed a good deli!! I also got a drink at the bar and the bartender Margaret was so nice and welcoming. Definitely will be a new spot on my rotation!

Happened to be in Southie for the parade and stopped by this place with my friends. I know it was busy but the staff were rude and food was ridiculously overpriced for what it is. Tiny portions that missed the mark. Will definitely not be back!! Much better places on Broadway.

I ordered a "Glaze My Buns" cinnamon roll to go and got a fry bun IETH NO GLAZE ON TOP. I paid $10 for this. So not worth it and will not be going back.

Amazing drinks, friendly staff, and just a warm welcoming environment! Our waiter Kevin was the best and they even let us use a shot-ski, wicked fun!!

I live nearby and have been coming at least once a week since opening. It used to be SO good when it first opened, but quality and consistency has gone way down. They took off a lot of the great salads from the menu, there's often something wrong with my order, and they don't even cut my sandwich (used to though). Disappointing with how significantly quality has gone down.

I got an awesome sandwich here earlier today with my fiancé, we were both satisfied and the restaurant has a cool little inside bar. We will definitely come back and maybe try the brunch next time!

Worse service ever. 2 of the managers were speaking to people or on their phones. The other two bartenders seemed to be struggling and weeded. Took 15 minutes to get asked if I wanted another drink. Just very unorganized and wasn't a pleasant experience.

Everything here is extremely overpriced. The sandwiches are decent, but still not worth the price. The kale ceaser salad was horrible and the size of a side salad. The croutons were too hard and the chicken was dry.

Stopped in for something quick to go and decided on the Greek salad which was delicious! The sandwich options looked great as well so I'll definitely be back to try those along with the bar. Super cute inside and looks like a good spot to grab a drink or two!

Great vibe. Amazing sandwiches (super fresh and tasty). If I had one complaint, it would be that I wish their dinner menu had a more extensive sandwich list. Other than that, this place is awesome!

Delicious sandwiches, wine tastings and a friendly staff...could you be looking for anything else in Boston? Fresh has a phenomenal atmosphere and lots of wonderful people who make it worth visiting. Margaret and Kristen were especially helpful, offering lots of insights on the variety of wines available. I'm a harsh critic...don't miss it!!!
