After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit reluctant to go here, but I'm glad I did. Many of Vegas' buffets remain shuttered, and some will definitely not return. I'm happy to report that Fresh Buffet inside the Westgate (and right next to their great Sports Book) is open and serving brunch.
At the omelet station, my made-to-order omelet was perfect. Sausage, tomato, and mushrooms, with just the right amount of cheese. The little fruit bowl I assembled of freshly cut pineapple and three melons was the perfect starter. Instead of traditional breakfast potatoes, they have those little, triangular hash brown cakes, and it was crispy and tasty. To kinds of mini-bagels (the cream cheese is over by the yogurt and cottage cheese), and breakfast was solid.
Then on to a bit of lunch, with large shrimp and cocktail sauce, a small slice of brisket that was well seasoned and prepared, and a piece of smoked sausage. They also had a small section of Asian foods with egg rolls, Beijing beef and orange chicken, fried rice and chow mein. These days, at about $25, it is one of the lower priced buffets that is operating, and gave us enough food to get through the rest of the day.
