The 15 Best Late Night Spots In Austin

"There are very few foods that satisfy a drunken and/or late-night palate like a gyro, and the best spot on Rainey Street for some spit-roasted meat is Fresh Gyro Halal, a tiny food trailer with a footprint about the size of a small vending machine. But instead of dispensing an old bag of potato chips, here you’ll be leaving with a heaping mound of savory gyro meat in a pita, covered in spicy chili and cooling white sauce. You can also get it over rice and eat it with a fork if you want to, but that’s not nearly as much fun.  Open until 2am Tues-Thu, 3am Fri-Sat " - nicolai mccrary

We got the meat over fries. Fast service, good food, and great portion size. They even have stools outside their food truck so you can sit.

Arrived late to the hotel so choices were limited. Thankfully, this little halal cart is within walking distance. Stopped by and got a combo wrap, meat over fries and baklava. Combo was filled and tasty! Messy but worth every drip. Wife enjoyed the meat over fries. Baklava was sweet and delicious. Great portions for the price. I want to preface for a late night spot, the food was solid. Revolutionary? No but again, when your whiskers are wet and you need some late grub, would slam a combo wrap again

We did carry out from this food truck twice in 2 nights after leaving the bars late at night. They were open when most other places were already closed. Friendly service. The food hit the spot! The gyro had some spicy sauce in addition to the usual. It was great. The French fries had the same sauce, which was great.

The tiniest food truck along Rainey St. but had the best food I’ve tried. I had the chicken plate and I had to go back the next night for more. Found a hidden gem👍🏽❤️

I am in Austin visiting my cousin ( I live in new Braunfels) and I was craving gyros and since this place was close and available for GrubHub delivery I decided to try it out. I had the gyro plate and OMG was it amazing! It was a decently large portion and everything was cooked perfectly. The meat was tender, the sauce was delicious, rice was not over or under cooked and the "salad" part wasn't wilted or soggy. I highly recommend this place for any gyro lover.

This is another review of Great trailer food type establishment in Austin. Sadly, Google has once again lost my last review so I’m adding it again. Great food and friendly staff! Easily seen from the nearby street and located behind Brooklyn Pizza. I would sum up my review with just a few words: amazingly, delicious gyros!

I had the gyro over rice plate and it was so delicious! Im definitely going to get more before I leave town. The man working there was nice and prepared my food fast. If you like gyros, I recommend here.
