Small and cosy and open late. Fast and lovely service by owner. They have non spicy dishes. I suggest the dumpling soup and add apppetizer…generous portion of chicken satay. Both were delicious and chicken had a nice char on it. I could inhale the satay sauce! Enjoyed my flat fat cut noodle tom yum soup with shrimp. I chose mild spice level. Delicious and perfect for a cold night. Highly recommend. It’s good and fast. (I’ve had mediocre food at more expensive Thai restaurants in area.) Hidden gem with nice lighting, good service and don’t forget the carrot cake. It’s lightly sweet, Asian/Euro style! I will be back. Be eco bring your own soup jars ;-)

My wife and I came here the other night to get Thai food and it was excellent! I grew up next-door to a Thai restaurant so I know what good Thai food is. My wife got the pad see ew and it was amazing. We started with the crab wonton. The order had eight. I took a picture, but only after we had each grabbed one because they looked so good. I ordered the Penang curry. I chose to go with the brown rice and it was really good. To conclude our meal, we went with mango sticky rice. This was some of the best mango sticky rice that I’ve ever had. The staff here was super friendly, and the location was very clean.

I ordered the Cashew Chicken out of panic but let me tell you best panic moment ever. It was so fresh and it had such a delicious smoky flavor. Best Cashew Chicken I have had will definitely be coming back to try more!!

Nice for to go Thai food, slightly small portions for the price though. Food choices are pretty good.

My husband and I have found our new favorite Thai spot! We have gotten chicken pad Thai, yellow curry and chicken tom yum soup. All have been amazing and can’t wait to try more! The service has been exceptional. The woman who served us was clearly very busy with take out orders but was also very attentive to us and was extremely sweet. Thank you! We’ll be back 😊

Google
Food tasted great but the serving size was so small for there lunch special which is priced 1199 but cost over 15 dollars ... they said because I chose beef it's a 2 dollar surcharge...

Google
If you're looking for great tasting Thai this is the spot. It's small but the flavor is giant. My 3 year old couldn't get enough (no spice for her).

Nice small place. Went there for dinner and got the pad see ew. Noodles were a good texture and the flavor wasn't too sweet. It was pretty empty and other businesses in the plaza had already closed which made parking easy. I was the only dine in customer there. Several people showed up to pick up their order when I was there. Will be back when I'm in the area to potentially try other dishes, but pad see ew is my go to.

Yelp
COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. None of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. The kitchen staff also wears gloves when handling food. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor seating available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was dining here in this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is small, and it's shared with several other establishments. Some parking spots are smaller than others, so be careful where you park. Food: I ordered the fish cake and pad see ew. The fish cakes or patties were hot, spicy, soft, tender, juicy, and packed full of flavor. It came with a side of diced cucumber and crushed peanuts in the sweet and chili sauce for you dip your fish cakes in. They were massive, and so fricken good! I highly recommend ordering it. Next, I ordered the chicken pad see ew. Good portion. The pad see ew was a combo of savory, sweet, and slightly sour tasting. The chicken was slightly chargrilled, so it brought a nice smoky flavor to the juicy and tender chicken. The noodles were soft and bouncy. The Chinese broccoli was super soft, savory, and lightly salted. Overall, it was an excellent meal. Staff: The staff here are very attentive, kind, friendly, and welcoming. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is a $10 credit card minimum.

Yelp
3 stars I always want to like and support small businesses and this is one I spotted on my way to HomeGoods, so I decided to stop by. My usual test order is Pad Thai, so this was what I ordered...and, unfortunately, I thought the noodles were too hard and the sauce a bit too sour for my liking. I also got a Thai tea and I thought it was ok-tasting. Prices are similar to other Thai restaurants. Interior is clean and comfortable.

Yelp
So I really enjoyed this Thai place. Was a bit of a drive but we were in the area I was worried the food was gonna be cold by the time we got home especially since we took the street but it was super hot still thank you for making your food extra hot. It even burned my daughters. leg while she carried it so be careful and set it down. Pad Thai had good flavor good balance of sweet and the tang. Orange chicken had a perfect crisp with the perfect flavor. Fried rice was very good flavor magolian beef was soft good portions. Fresh rolls were different lettuce was a bit out of the roll but that peanut sauce was perfection and just made them delicious. Prices were ok unless you get chicken you have to pay an extra fee for the rest. I would come back though.

Yelp
Going out to eat doesn't have to end up being expensive as long as you are willing to share the main dish and a side. I ordered Thai tea, chicken pad Thai, and a side of steamed rice. I enjoyed the tea it was really good and the pad Thai was more than enough for two people. The only thing missing was the crushed peanuts on the pad Thai which always enhances the flavor. There were more people picking up to go orders than they were eating inside.

Yelp
They're located in a small strip mall on Foothill, across Maria's and Islands. For a quaint Thai spot, this restaurant punches above its weight class. Lunch specials are only $11.95, what a steal! For the "proteins" they even have soy chicken as an option, which caters to our vegan friends! The dishes came out fast, each came with a salad (dressing is yummy btw) and a spring roll. It's great - can't go wrong here for a quick lunch!

Yelp
We ordered online for delivery & our food arrived quickly - & everything was hot & freshly made. The Pad Woon Sen glass noodles were wonderful! We also got the crab fried rice & the Basil Leaves dish with shrimp - both were so good! Highly recommend!

Yelp
The food is amazing, the lady that works here is super sweet! My favorite thing to get is the spicy fried rice! I come here so often she sees my face and knows what I'm ordering. I call on the phone she hears my voice and knows what I want! 10/10 food is amazing!

Yelp
Looks small and dark from the outside. Easy to miss this place. Inside very clean and nice. Friendly service and really good Thai food. Don't forget to try their mango and sticky rice for dessert served with a small carafe of coconut milk.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been coming to this restaurant for 5 years. They serve excellent food because they use quality ingredients. Check the broccoli - it's always a bright green and not a grayish color that comes with cooking too long or an old stalk. They will prep the dish to your taste - mild, light salt, extra lime, etc. Every so often, they come out with updated dishes to reflect the changing tastes of the customer base. I just had their sea bass in spicy lime sauce. It was excellent! They try very hard to keep their dishes tasty and healthy. I highly recommend Fresh Thai. I don't live in the Pasadena area, but this is my go-to place when I get the Thai food cravings!

Yelp
The best crab fried rice in SGV! Kua Kai is 10/10. Not greasy like other restaurants. Definitely come back again.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite local thai places of all time. The food is consistently good here and I get takeout at least once a month. I love the thai tea, the curries, papaya salad, spicy grilled beef salad. I have not tried the pad thai noodles though. I like that the curry comes with the rice instead of being a la carte like most places these day, and the medium heat leans towards hot sometimes (which I like but just be aware it's decently spicy!)
google avatar

Yelp
I feel that some reviews are harsh in terms of authenticity. This is Pasadena, very far from the mountains in Thailand. Get out of the monk's robe and put on a t-shirt. Anyway, we've always loved the flavors and service from this small restaurant and we've tried quite a few in the area. Don't let the negative reviews stop you from at least trying.
google avatar

Sara Jo R.

Yelp
We are new to Pasadena and this place is close to our house. We took a chance and LOVED it. We got the green curry, pad see ew, spicy basil chicken, and a side of white rice. It was perfect. Everything tasted just right. We'll be ordering here again!

Yelp
Not sure if the name lives up to itself. Was it really "fresh" Thai? Such an unfortunate experience. It used to be my go-to Thai spot, but after today's meal, I don't think I'll be back. Had the flat noodles today with beef, ended up with an upset stomach that had glued to the toilet. The noodles were mushy soft that were stuck to one another. The beef was hard and chewy, it was painful to swallow down. The "meal" felt like it was reheated from someone's yesterday's leftovers. Yuck! Ugh just thinking about it gets my stomach turning again. What happened, Fresh Thai? Did your management change?

Yelp
Great Thai place! it's a little pricey but the food it's worth the extra couple of dollars!
google avatar

Joan S.

Yelp
Ive been ordering from this place for years. Over 10 years. And the food is always consistent and tasty. Tastes like authentic homemade thai food that a thai auntie makes. We always order their tom yom, pad see ewe, pad thai, and larb. We especially love how Fresh Thai chars their meat perfectly, as its not burnt, but you can taste the flavors. Generous with their meat portions. Household favorite

Yelp
Sometimes I get food here on my lunch break, they have a great meal deal during the week. The service is usually pretty quick, it's always a great option for a quick meal.

Yelp
I placed an order to go, the Pad Thai with chicken and although it was fresh, there was a lack of ingredients that have been in orders of Pad Thai from other restaurants, such bean sprouts, egg, tofu, crushed peanuts and lime, did I mention how sweet the Pad Thai was? I also ordered the cashew nut with chicken, again the food was fresh but there was a lack of veggies; my order had two medallion's of carrots a few slices of onion and bell pepper. The flavor of these dishes were ok but the lack of ingredients and the way it's packaged in aluminum foil for to go orders leaves a lot to be desired. The place was clean and the cashier was friendly enough.

Yelp
First time here! first noticed the atmosphere, it's very nice! Kim was great! Very attentive with a smile on her face. The service was quick and the food is delicious! Thank you! We will be back!

Yelp
Amazing mom and pop Thai restaurant with incredibly authentic tasting food. Parking is easy to find as the restaurant is located in a strip mall. Food: I've liked everything that I've tried but my favorite is definitely the pumpkin curry. The mild is perfect for people who can't handle spice but want a tiny kick. The mango sticky rice is just the right sweetness and is super pretty with the blue rice. Price: Very affordable for the area. Dishes range from $10-$15 dollars. Quantity is enough to fill me up on a hungry day. Service: they can get busy at times but the workers are always super sweet and attentive. If they don't pick up on the first call, try again a few minutes later. Tldr; Awesome Thai food for affordable prices. I would recommend it to anyone in the area looking to try something new!

Yelp
Stopped in here for lunch yesterday and enjoyed the food. The waitress was busy but attentive. The food didn't take long and everything was fresh. I ordered the fresh rolls and was a little sad it didn't come with any shrimp or tofu. Also, my soup didn't have a lot of mushrooms or chicken in it, but it was as tasty.

Yelp
location & parking: this mom & pop shop is located in a small plaza amongst other businesses! they have a small shared parking lot in front, super convenient. food & drinks: got a lunch special pad thai (~$12) it comes with a decent portion of the main course with a salad and veggie eggroll on the side! also got a thai iced tea ($5). the food is authentic and fresh as their restaurant name states! the thai tea is also perfectly creamy and sweet. service: called to order & picked up this meal on. tuesday afternoon and they were able to have it ready pretty quickly. the employee was super kind and friendly!!! great service! (thank you) vibes: the ambiance is very cozy and has a mom n pop shop vibe. definitely a small business & it's asian owned! theres seating inside & is great for a quick meal by yourself or with friends! note: SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES YALL!!!! fresh thai has authentic & yummy thai food for a fair price too. overall: 5/5 star, will def come back the next time my thai food craving strikes!

Yelp
I was not blown away with the food here, but I've only been here once and may have not ordered enough. I'll start with the most basic Thai Iced Tea. There was something about this drink that left me unimpressed. I can't pinpoint exactly what it was, but I feel like the milk may have been slightly overpowering? Honestly, I'm not sure what it was, but I would not order the Thai Iced Tea again. The Eggplant curry was not bad! It comes with my favorite: GREEN curry, and the curry flavors were pretty good! That's something I'd order again if I ever come back. I also had a couple of bites of the Pad Thai and while it was alright, I have been spoiled by the likes of Thai town and have to say that I would rather have my curry over the pad thai any day. The biggest issue I had was the price. I think for the amount of food that I received, this was definitely a bit overpriced. Considering the Lunch portion was almost the same price as the normal a la cart portions. Parking was a breeze as there's plenty along the street, and the service was great! Food came out fast in disposable bowls/boxes, making it easy to pack up in case you don't finish. Would I come back? I think so! There's definitely dishes on here that I still would like to try, and hopefully update my review after!

Yelp
The food is good. I order pad-Thai, fried rice and Tom-kha and are all very yummy. The staff is very friendly & accommodating. I ordered through yelp and it turns out they can't see the special notes you write in through the app. I had wrote no egg. They didn't know, so my order wrong and quickly redid my order with minimum wait. They advise you call in for special notes so that they know. Can't recommend this place enough!
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
Food is consistently delicious, consistent, timely and did I already say delicious? I've been coming here for the past few years. This is my go to order for a busy weeknight when you need something that will brighten your week. The recent remodel also increases the ambience, but I recommend getting take out to enjoy cozy at home.

Yelp
The green curry with rice was very good and was enough for two people. The service was quick and friendly. The place was small located in a shopping center next to Del Taco. It had a few tables and was clean.
google avatar

Chyanne R.

Yelp
Crab Rangoon's were delicious! If my memory serves me correctly they're more on the saltier side than the sweet side but the dipping sauce it came with balanced that out! I think I got a pineapple fried rice and that was UBER-DELICIOUS! On top of the food already being affordable!
google avatar

Ashley K.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious and fresh. Also, so happy that they have Thai iced teas that you can make with almond milk. I love Thai iced teas, but cannot have dairy. Thank you Fresh Thai!
google avatar

Eddie O.

Yelp
The nice little Thai place near our house. The ambiance is clean and basic and does not offer a lot of seating. Our order was to go so this did not come into play. They offer a good variety of lunch specials at a fair price. We tried their pad thai, beef panang, cashew nut chicken and the chicken basil. The specials include an egg roll, salad and either brown or white rice. The portion size was reasonable. My spicy basil chicken was very tasty and also pretty spicy (medium) and a decent portion. All in all, enjoyed the lunch special and will visit again.

Yelp
Great food...Great People! I have been here about a half dozen times already! I have thoroughly enjoyed what I have ordered each time!
google avatar

Fluvia L.

Yelp
We ordered wonton soup. pad Thai, Chow lien and tempura ... the soup tastes simply like water, the pad Thai is so sweet, it should be a dessert. the chow lien is inedible (bland, tasteless, dry and generally unappetizing) . how in the world did this t'restaurant get so many positive reviews?? I have no idea. I guess people just eat.. The service and ambiance are fine but we did come here to eat... so we are all very disappointed.. I gave one star for the shrimps which were ok.
google avatar

Raul R.

Yelp
Great taste and stood open for me even when I got there right at 3pm! The price is affordable and everything has a nice fresh taste.

Yelp
My parents and I visited Fresh Thai and we ordered pad see ew, yellow curry, and mixed vegetables with tofu. It was a Sunday night and there was no wait, but a few parties were dining in. Fresh Thai is a small restaurant, very casual, and many of their guests do take out. Food: Honestly, all of the dishes we ordered were way too salty. I thought having more rice would help, but it barely made a difference. The only dish not too salty was the curry, which was the best part of the meal. Service: Service was just okay. Again, nothing special. The food did take awhile to come out being that they weren't busy at all. I don't think I'll be coming back here even though my mom insists on it. She tells me to tell them to ease up on the salt, but at this point, I really don't want to. I'll see, but I'd pass on Fresh Thai for now.
google avatar

Julie P.

Yelp
This is not a fancy Thai restaurant. You likely will not eat there as place is super small. It is meant to be a TO Go place. I like this place because service is pretty fast and food is yummy It is close to Kaiser Pasadena and across from the plaza where there is Bowlero Pasadena This plaza has a small parking lot, but you can likely find parking on the street too. Menu is small, but sufficient. I normally get their Pad See Ew, Thai Iced Tea and either their dessert of Spumoni Bomba or Mango Ripieno. All I want to say is the taste is divine, flavorful and insatiable. Staff are friendly and helpful. This is a mama papa joint, which I love to support. Please do a quick drive by on the way home. Your stomach will thank you

Yelp
Quite possibly the best Thai feed I've ever had! I want to Thailand a few months ago and this is better that what I had there. The place is clean and the owner was nice, helpful, and attentive. The service isn't the fastest, but we weren't in a rush and the food made it all worth the wait. I'll definitely be coming back!!!!

Hiddy H.

Yelp
Great and flavorful food, reasonable prices, great service, nice mom and pop restaurant. My husband forgot his credit card here. They kept it safe for us until we could pick it up a few days later. We come back often!
google avatar

Shelley P.

Yelp
Finally satisfied my mango sticky rice craving! And it happened to be a beautiful blue due to butterfly pea so that was the cherry on top. The mango was perfectly ripe and juicy, and the rice was fluffy and soft, and everything was soaked through in sweet coconut milk. Fresh like the name!
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Excellent for a small little place. Taste is SO good. The roti is perfect, the yellow curry is yummy, the basil meat is delicious and ordering mango sticky rice next. It's so good I'm writing a review before I even finish my food. Thumbs up all around.
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
5 stars! Love this place! Will be hard to not go back immediately tomorrow. Cream cheese wontons are the best I've ever had. Only pictured two because we ate the others so quickly. Also had delicious chicken satay with yummy peanut sauce. Pad Thai was good but sweeter than most places. Try this place immediately! Takeout only during covid. Everything neatly and cleanly packaged.
google avatar

Ross W.

Yelp
Came here because it offers Khao Soi. To my disappointment, it takes exactly like curry. It lacks the essential ingredient of pickled vegetable. Also wish you have a choice of protein. It comes with chicken. However, as a curry dish, it tastes good; it's just not Khao Soi. Hubby ordered Kua Kai (flat noodles with bean sprouts, green onion, egg & chicken), tasty but flavor could be stronger. Thai Iced Tea is thumbs up. I won't rule it out & plan to go back for other dishes.

Paul R.

Yelp
Fresh is the perfect word to describe our experience! From the fire wok to or plate in minutes! Crunchy peppers, sweet onions, tender meats and savory sauces! Everything we've tried is perfect. Service is friendly and attentive. Few diners but steady flow of take out orders. Peaceful casual space.
google avatar

Mike Z.

Yelp
This place was really awesome!!!! I particularly appreciate that they made the food spicy, as requested, and they still maintained their flavor. For what it's worth, it's the best green curry I've had in a long time, the pad ki mao has great consistency, and the green papaya salad was really flavorful.
google avatar

Mark D.

Yelp
Cute little hole in the wall. Great food! We went just for the appetizers as we were driving through on a road trip home. Great find! We want to come back again and have their dishes. Staff were extremely friendly and food is authentic. Dine here if given the chance!

Shawn G.

Yelp
This place is near my work. I finally tried it. People here are nice. That's about it A small container of pad Thai and a can soda with 17.99. The chicken in the pad Thai was precooked and very dry and there was no peanut taste at all. Was not very busy at all during a Friday lunch hour.
google avatar

Michael A.

Yelp
This is a go to place for take out and delivery if you love around d the area. They will cater to the amount of heat you want on your food. The delivery is always on time. If they are running late they usually will give you a complimentary Thai iced tea.
google avatar

Monica G.

Yelp
Good food but the prices on their website do not match what I was charged. I shared this with the girl helping me but she would not honor their online menu. Overall, I feel like $14 for a plate of chicken and rice is overpriced despite how good it is. I wouldn't mind if the portion was big but it was not and only enough for one person and one meal.
google avatar

Alicia N.

Yelp
I was hoping to dine in, but they aren't doing that yet. So, I got a bunch of takeout instead. Service is fast and friendly. Pineapple curry with chicken - really good. Khao soi - just okay. I missed having the pickles and shallots. Chicken sate - good, but the peanut sauce seems diluted. Also got the pumpkin curry. Overall - food is decent. Curious about their larb and eggplant dishes. Many people came in to get takeout while I was there. Seems like a popular spot. I would call ahead if you know what you want. The parking lot up front is small, but there are more spots towards the back.

Yelp
Was looking for a thai restaurant to pick up food for the family and i saw this place! When i walked in it looked like everything was clean and orderly and that's important because of whats going on with this virus thingy. The service was excellent and the workers all observed the current cdc recommendation. The food was delicious and fresh. The food was made in a timely manner. I ordered 3 dishes with side of rice. I took it home and the whole family enjoyed it. I will definitely come to Fresh Thai again very very soon. Thank you

Yelp
Love this place. The best Thai beef salad around. Magic string bean dish is excellent. Give this place a try.
