We had an amazing experience in this hidden gem! We tried the lunch menu. First of all, the prices are ridiculously low. Main dish costs around ~$10 which is crazy for such dishes. We shared 4 dishes and a glass of wine. Everything was super tasty and fresh. The shrimp pasta was amazing, as well as the gnocchi with meat. The duck lag was very good as well. Above all, the lady (owner of the place?) was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We’ll definitely come back in our next trip to Budapest!

Best lunch menu in Budapest. Sophisticated compositions with high quality, local ingredients. We had the pea cream soup, beef with carrotts and sour cherry cake. Everything was perfect. Service is extraordinarily good. Highly recommended.

Amazing, quiet place. Loved the service. The chief went as far as agreeing to serve potato gratin as a side dish. Asparagus cream soup, crisp pork head meat, grilled octopus, goulash, and schnitzel were all very good, and gratin was just great (I'll ask for less black pepper next time)

We visited Fricska 2.0 predominantly because it's on the Michelin Guide however the food was open to interpretation, the tasting menu was the choice of the evening. The first few courses were excellent the pate was exceptional as was the goulash and octopus, but from there on the food became less Michelin all in I thought the food was overpriced for what it was the cheese was also not available which was rather annoying it's a Saturday night everything on the menu should be available.... The atmosphere of the restaurant was quiet but quirky and inline with the food quality. All in all we were £170 for the two of us personally we use the guide and app and this is the first time we have been let down by the recommendations of the guide.

We had the tasting menu and the food was amazing with lovely wine pairing. Everything was delicious and flavourful, and the wines were creative and from small unknown, local wine houses. I would totally recommend this place. The service was great and they explained every dish thoroughly. Unfortunately almost no customers were there, and therefore the waiters didn’t have a lot to do and maybe rushed our experience a tiny bit.

Fricska 2.0 had been recommended to me by a couple of people, but it took me a couple of goes to find it as it’s down in a basement and I’d walked past. Once inside the restaurant feels light and spacious and staff are welcoming. I enjoyed one of the best meals I have had this year in Fricska and I will definitely be coming back. The quality of the food and the excellent service make this a great choice.

This is a very small establishment. Capacity is around 40 guests. We ordered Goose Foie gras, Goose leg, Goose breast, and one bottle of Heumann Terra Tartaro. All the food was very delicious and the wine was a very good match. Service was very kind, but there were like 5 waiters for max. 30 guests, and at the beginning, there was a big chaos and a long waiting time just to get the menu. Later everything was OK.
