$7 for a literal pound of the best fried rice I've ever had, a pop AND 2 handmade egg rolls? In this economy? And $4 for the crab Rangoon (amazing and not the sweet version, 10/10). I had lunch and dinner for 2 for $18. Service was quick and super friendly. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

Google
This is a little hole in the wall place . 1st time I have ever been here, the shrimp fried rice is really good and the egg rolls are little greasy but very good. Only take out, cash only .

Nathan

Google
All I got was the chicken fried rice, two egg rolls and drink! I couldn't wait to try the egg rolls and I think they are the best egg rolls I've ever had! I will definitely be a frequent customer!!! Plus, the girl taking orders has an incredible smile!!! Thanks for making my day!!!

Lou Fegans

Google
Chicken, pork, shrimp, or combination of all three fried rice served with two egg rolls and one generic brand soda can for $6 Fried rice didn't have much flavor but the egg rolls were truly fantastic! Overall it's perfect if you're looking for cheap eats, otherwise it's not worth the visit.

Brian Granger

Google
Not really an atmosphere because no table service which is why they can make it so cheap. If you want inexpensive food, this is your place. Very fast and my choice was already cooked and packed and I ate on my trunk in the parking lot. Spring rolls were decent. I prefer to see people when I eat.

Louise

Google
Found a cockroach in my fried rice. Definitely don’t recommend.

Vanessa “NESSA” Wadsworth

Google
We have been eaten here for over 30 years. The food has always immaculate. In her homemade chili sauce is to die for they're just scared people, and they're not greedy. Like some Asian places over pricing tanks for $6, you get a pint of chicken or shrimp or Pork fried rice, 2 egg rolls in a soda. Now they look out for their people. And that's why there you are pat every day!!!!

Google
Little hole in the wall but it’s the best! Stop here anytime I go thru Wichita. Delicious egg rolls!

Yelp
I have had some great luck with this place for awhile. Makes me wonder now Great people great service but Unfortunately TODAY I had an experience that will keep me out of those doors im sure for awhile. 3/4 of the way gone and this was on my spoon. I hope things get better.

Yelp
This is not a date place. This is where you go that you go there you get your supercheap food and you get out that's it, I loved it. I would definitely go back here. Make sure you bring cash because they're cash only. This is definitely a hole in the wall, but the best kind .

Yelp
What a great hidden gem in Wichita. Finally some fried rice with some flavor. Also the crab Rangoon and egg rolls were very good, big and crispy. Two lovely ladies laughing and having a good time making the food so you know it's made with love.
google avatar

Christine B.

Yelp
A virtual hole in the wall! Is it a deal? Yes, if you want generic soda and sketchy meat. Only go if you want cheap food.

Adrian M.

Yelp
staff was very friendly food smelled very good free eggrolls. also the establishment was pretty clean and they had a nice fish tank.

Yelp
Ordered: Shrimp Fried Rice comes 2 eggs rolls & a soda The food is good, more rice than shrimp. The texture and taste is more of a seasoned rice or vegetables rice mix. Cash only and be prepared to order. Service was quick.

Yelp
I've been going to this place since I was very little (I'm 20 years old), and it never fails to amaze me! A pint of rice with a choice of pork, chicken, or shrimp, a can of soda and two egg roles for $6! I gotta say as being a college student, it saves me money. I bought some for my boyfriend who's never tried it and he loved it! Definitely a must go to!

Yelp
Absolute hidden gem in Wichita. It's been around for 40 years and quite frankly I'm glad it's not widely known about unless you've gone there by word of mouth because it's SO freaking tasty. This is what I love about America. Vietnamese owned by a man and his wife who have been doing this for 40 years making some of the absolute best Chinese American style fried rice I've ever had. The absolute epitome of hole in the wall but trust me, you won't regret it. The name says it all. Fried rice is what they serve. Don't expect anything else. 5 dollars cash gets you probably about a pint of fried rice (choice of protein chicken, pork, shrimp, or mixed), two egg rolls, and some surprisingly tasty off brand canned soda. I got mixed and was pleasantly surprised the shrimp was cooked perfectly, not rubbery or chewy. The eggs rolls were also very yummy. My gripe with eggs rolls is often the ginger just cuts through way too much but these were not that way in the slightest. If you absolutely have to pull my leg to offer criticism, I'll say the egg rolls were a hair on the greasy side, which is usually attributed to too low of a temperature of the frying oil. Easily fixed. It's just yummy, no frills fried rice. Next time I'll be ordering two orders for myself.

Yelp
The food here is very affordable but I could not get past the cleanliness of the restaurant. I tasted my rice and egg roll and it was very flavorful, but I didn't eat much more after 2 bites. If you are looking for a very aafordabke dive restaurant, you may like this restaurant. They do not except credit cards, so be sure to bring cash.

Yelp
Awesome hole in the wall joint! The owner is such a sweet and humble guy. Very simple menu for fried rice! You can choose from: chicken, pork shrimp or combination. I really enjoy the egg rolls. Nice crunch and tasty filling. Don't be deceived by the small (16 Oz) container. He really packs the rice in them so it is a lot! Beware! Yelp has the wrong business hours. He closes at 9pm, not 1am. We stopped by at 11pm, he was still there and fed us
google avatar

Chris F.

Yelp
Cheapest fried rice with meat around. You can get a carton of fried rice with choice of meat, 2 egg rolls, and a drink for all under $5. The fried rice itself it very basic. Plain fried rice, a small amount of egg bits, and your choice of chicken, pork, shrimp, or all three. Egg rolls are great. Crab Rangoon is a tad off from most. They are mostly just cream cheese and it picks up too much of the grease flavor. They have bottle water or a can of soda that comes with the combo. The cartons of rice can sometime not get as much meat so it's a hot and miss depending on when it was scooped. Nothing gourmet, but fro the price it is a great deal for a cheap and quick meal. They also only take cash.

Yelp
The best price, fast service, generous portions, piping hot, delicious Take out. Love the crunchy eggrolls, and all of the sauces. I come here once a week and the whole family is happy!
google avatar

Yelp
I served in the Air Force at McConnell AFB this place has the greatest food. The price is right and perfect for a young airman.
google avatar

Landon M.

Yelp
This is the greatest fried rice restaurant in wichita. The quality of food for the price it comes at is unmatched and you cannot find a place much better than this. The building and area surrounding this business is not that impressive but it is not to be worried about because the food overwhelms and speaks for itself

Malyna A.

Yelp
0 stars. First time wanting to try this place, called to place an order for pick up, guys answers and tells me to proceed with my order then randomly cuts me off to ask if it was my first time eating here. I say yes then he proceeds to rudely say "too busy bye" then hung up. mind you, I was only ordering two orders of rice. He must not be interested in new customers so I definitely will not be returning.
google avatar

Ben H.

Yelp
The fried rice is average at best. It doesn't take anyone special to make fried rice. The chicken was gross and the lady working acted annoyed that I wanted to order crab Rangoon instead of an egg roll. Then when I asked for red sauce for the crab rangoons I get home to discover that she put the wrong stuff in. I suggest you goto Dillon's and get fried rice. It will taste about the same and you will at least get the order right. I promise our family will not be back.

Ashley L.

Yelp
I wish I could give zero stars! The owner was beyond rude to me when I called in my order. He hung up on me before I could finish my order and when I called back he told me to stop calling. I'll NEVER go back to this place!
google avatar

Angela D.

Yelp
Honestly can't beat the price. Was the place gross...YES. Was the food delicious, also yes! I'd go back.

Yelp
Don't waste your time going to Panda Express. Fried Rice is where it's at. Not only is it cheaper than Panda, it's way better. This is what real fried rice tastes like.

Yelp
Not too sure who introduced this hole in the wall type place ~13 years ago, but I've been coming here off and off ever since. It was directly around the block form where I use to work so during that period in my life it was often. You cannot beat a filling, delicious tasting joint that doesn't break the bank. The daily special is $4, which includes a soda, two egg rolls, and a pint of chicken or pork fried rice. Shrimp costs a little extra. They also have a couple other menu items, but won't be needing it unless you're taking it to go; which is the standard choice for patrons. This is definitely a "don't judge a book by its cover" restaurant as it is tucked just off the road in a run down looking mini strip. Door is usually open to provide air circulation and he decor hasn't been changed since its grand opening. I'm curious to find out how long this establishment has been here. This place always reminds me of the Chinese version of the soup nazi (NY/Seinfeld reference). Don't step up to the counter if you're not ready. It shouldn't take you long to pick from their small menu; which is relief since I feel overwhelmed at some restaurants that have too many options. Unless you catch them during a lunch rush you won't have to wait for your food, unless you choose something out of the daily special parameters. Otherwise they have plenty stocked up in coolers waiting for the next customer to pop in for a meal. The rice is greasy, but it never sways my taste when I decide this is where I went to eat for a meal. The egg rolls aren't heavily greasy like some I've had, but they sure do provide a good balance for the rice.

Todd O.

Yelp
Everything tastes amazing and the price cant be beat! Wish I found it sooner, will definitely be going more often.

Yelp
Located behind To Chau in a strip mall I didn't realize existed, Fried Rice presented me with the shortest interaction I've ever had as a customer: Me: "I'll have the pork fried rice combo." *Lady takes carton of rice and eggrolls out of a cooler* Lady: "Four dollars." *I give her the cash and leave* So it wasn't exactly prepared to order, but the tongue-burning temperature of both the rice and eggrolls didn't bring into question any questions of freshness. And while the eggrolls were large and crispy, and the fried rice ample in pork, everything was quite greasy. Probably not so bad when it come to fried rice, and when you're paying four dollars for this large quantity of food, you're obviously not expecting anything unique or creative. Much like this review.

Yelp
OMG..BEST EGGROLLS IN TOWN AND ONLY .75 CENTS EACH!! Funny, it is kinda like the kitchen (soup Nazi) on Seinfeld but I'm so used to going in it doesn't really bother me anymore. I had a great chat with the owner (male) on his previously military service. He is really nice and since I had to wait he offered me a free soda..really great guy and kind!!

K W.

Yelp
Only $6 for fried rice with chicken, two egg rolls, and a coke. Everything was FRESH and tasted good.
google avatar

Sara K.

Yelp
My boyfriend absolutely loves this place! The food is cooked well and has amazing taste. The price is right and they always have the food out as quick as possible. Great location for lunch or even a quick snack! 10/10. But make sure you have CASH!!!!
google avatar

Gary P.

Yelp
Pros Loved it!! Don't let the low price fool you. What you get for just a few bucks ($4 cash at the time): eggrolls that are tasty and fried to golden perfection, 16oz of perfectly fried rice with your choice of meat, and a generic soda or water. It was filling, tasty, and the owner was hospitable and gracious. Con A con to many anyway, not me. The restaurant could be considered a hole in the wall; so, don't take your prom date there and expect to get some. But if she really likes fried rice, egg rolls, and good people, you might have a chance.
google avatar

Crista S.

Yelp
To be fair, I've only been once. I read some mixed reviews but fam and I gave it a shot a while back. I don't get what people like, other than the price. It's cheap so has that going for it, but I probably won't be back. I just didn't like it, really at all. It's kind of cool that it's a really limited cheap menu and you get what you get. Unfortunately, I never learned how not to throw a fit (you get what you get and you don't throw a fit was never something I learned ) Oh well, win some, lose some. There's plenty of people that don't like what I like.

Zach L.

Yelp
Very simple place but the food is amazing for the price! $5 gets you lots of fried rice, two egg rolls, and a drink. You can only do takeout but for the price you can't beat it.

Amber M.

Yelp
Heck yeah! This place is great. I wasn't sure what to expect when I went in but I was really amused by the owners(?) yelling back and forth. $12 got enough food to split into four meals. The fried rice is excellent. $4 gets you a 16oz container of fresh fried rice, two egg rolls and a can of soda. I don't drink soda so I gave mine to my husband and he saved the other for later. We also bought two orders of rangoons, so half the rice, one egg roll and two rangoons filled me up and I have lunch tomorrow! I will definitely be back. It's a great way to satisfy a fried rice craving and pick up some fresh cooked food on the way home from work.

Janet A.

Yelp
This place was once a top favorite. Now their food quality is poor and they aren't the friendliest.
google avatar

Howard C.

Yelp
Pros: inexpensive. For example an order of nice and salty chicken fried rice costs only $3 cash. Cons: you get what you pay for. Salty flavored rice with a few chunks of chicken and almost nothing else (i.e eggs and vegetables). The rice is about soggy but that's expected when it sits in a to go container in a cooler and is not fresh from the wok. The location is in a dilapidated strip mall.
google avatar

Jamie P.

Yelp
Small hole in the wall asian joint. The fried rice is as close you will get to authentic home cook fried rice. Pretty good. Definitely worth the stop. The owner of the place is pretty funny guy and it also fairly cheap.
google avatar

M M.

Yelp
I love this place! Tried it for the first time after reading some reviews. The fried rice and egg rolls are great! I got there pretty late so I was able to chat with the owner. He is such a funny guy who loves to tell stories about his life. It was great. I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Ken R.

Yelp
Many times in live that the food chicken special called ahead if that is one to have it with that the shimmed fried rice on it? Give it shorter Han the most of th new era that and it is the greatest food ever
google avatar

Annie C.

Yelp
The rice is very good, it has a really unique taste and they give you a large amount, two egg rolls and a can of pop for very little money. BUT the cooks have a very much take your food and get out type of attitude.

Minnie M.

Yelp
Seven violations including raw food next to ready to eat food. Food at unsafe temperatures. Business doesn't even have a thermometer to check food temperatures. No hand washing supplies, mice nesting behind refrigerator & about 50 mice droppings on counters.

Michelle L.

Yelp
So cheap and so good! Will not disappoint! They provided fried rice for our rehearsal dinner 10 years ago and people still talk about how good it was.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
I started my conquest of fried rice in 1997. The price and the menu is the same. Have you heard, "if you do what you have always done you will get what you have always got". This place is great. It's not a dine in place, but the last dozen times I have ate there, I dined in. Consider the dining room more like a picnic area, you feel like you are sort of in an adventure dining there. Paper napkins, plastic ware and the generic colas from the cheap grocery store.
google avatar

Larry M.

Yelp
I have been going in this place for many years. The building looks questionable but the food is amazing and priced so low that you hardly feel like you paid. I have always received friendly and prompt service when I walk in the door.
google avatar

Sean P.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! For $4 you get a drink, a container of pork or chicken fried rice and two egg rolls. I highly recommend you ask for the chili sauce for your egg rolls and even fee free to throw it on your rice as it's quite tasty. When I think of Wichita I think of Fried Rice as one of the must go experiences for cheap yet tasty food in a hole in the wall.
google avatar

C M.

Yelp
Save your money! Today was my 1st visit to this restaurant and I went based off of the reviews but the reviewers definitely got it wrong! I'm not from Wichita so I actually know what good/great fried rice taste like and this is NOT it! I ordered the daily special with shrimp fried rice and an order of crab rangoons. The positives were the price and the egg rolls and crab rangoons were cooked fresh. The egg rolls were really good, but that's were it stops. The crab rangoons, although hot, tasted funny and the fried rice was just down right pitiful! Being that fried rice is the main thing they serve, I was expecting to be wowed but ended up being very disappointed and underwhelmed. I got sticky yellow rice with a couple of shrimp... no veggies or anything that normally goes in fried rice. I took 2 bites and threw it away... same with the crab rangoons. The egg rolls were good but not good enough to make me wanna go back.

Tt T.

Yelp
This place is awesome for 4.50 u get a box of rice and meat , 2 egg rolls and a pop or water . U can't beat the price it's two meals in one and it's tasty cheap!!! The owners are so friendly good stories can't beat the price my daughter is in the military and when she comes home she stops here!!!
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
The main thing to say here is, for the price the food isn't that bad. Not necessarily a go to restaurant, but if you have a craving and want a decent bargain, it is well worth the trip. Always heard of this place, just never went looking for it, it just happens to be tucked away. For $4.50 you get fried rice, two egg rolls, and a can of pop, not bad if you are on a college budget or have a random craving.
google avatar

William L.

Yelp
Love this place! it just a small family run place and super good fried rice. For $3.75 you get 2 egg rolls and fries rice of pork, chichen or shrimp and a drink from the fridge. Been going here for years...
google avatar

AJ S.

Yelp
You get two fried egg rolls and a bucket of fried rice, with pork, chicken, or shrimp, and a can of soda (random brands in a fridge by the door) for the low price of $3.50! This is a ton of food for the price, but it probably isn't so healthy to eat this greasy stuff every day.

Jullia C.

Yelp
One of the best hole in the wall places Wichita has to offer and has great prices, friendly staff and owner.
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
Some buddies and I did a comparison of this place and the same meal at the Chinese deli in Dillons grocery. Dillons won. They had fresher rice, egg rolls that have meat in them and not just cabbage, and a fountain drink instead of a can of soda. The exact same amount of food for the same price. Anytime we have a hankering for a cheap what I call "Peasant Meal" like this we just hit up a Dillons grocery store. Something to think about next time you go to this place.

Rick B.

Yelp
4 dollars (cash only), chicken fried rice, two (good) eggrolls, can of soda, make sure you shut the fridge. Has been a little greasy once or twice but no more than a $10 (name brand) dinner. There is some seating but grab and go is the preferred dinning experience.

Desiree C.

Yelp
Who could possibly give them less than 5 stars? They're more reliable than your significant other. They're more consistent than your government. They whip up fried rice, egg rolls (or crab Rangoon) and a drink in five minutes and with four swift dollar bills, your belly experiences sweet bliss. They're literally the best and nicest people. Don't ever come for them or the residents of Wichita will come for you.
