Had to wait 20 minutes for a table however, when we got into the dining area there were many empty tables. Overheard our server telling people at the next table there were only 2 servers and several large parties had just left. I believe this because when we got there we saw several little girls dressed up. We also waited a long time for our food. Our server was extremely nice and apologetic. The food was good. We will still go there.

Clean, inexpensive and slow as heck. Just like it always was. I don't know why a kids place is always so ridiculously slow. If I order the kids ice cream with dinner you would think it wouldn't come out 15 minutes after we've asked for it, which was 5 minutes after dinner was ready. Everyone that works there is still very nice, but the timing is horrible.

I have been going to this one particular Friendly's for many years. Even though there is another Friendly's much closer to my home I continue to go here because of this one woman Beth who is always my waitress. She is such a nice woman. When she is not too busy I will often find her sitting with a customer who is eating alone. Truly a sweet, caring woman who will be nice to you and make sure your food order is correct and comes to you in a timely manner. Great service great food!

I love friendlys! The food is great, good sized portions and the best fries ever. The service was great, it wasn't too busy so we had fast service. The bathrooms however need an update, they are old and small and haven't changed in 20plus years.

I'm not even sure where to begin about my most recent visit, which seems to be a pattern lately there. As a back story , i've been going to this Friendly's location for sooo many years now, since I was a kid like many area residents. Over the past 10 years it has gone downhill more and more in every way possible unfortunately. Today, not that long ago actually, my fiance & our two children stopped by around 3pm. We were the only ones there when we first arrived. We found our own seats which was no big deal then a few minutes later a disheveled man, who looked more like a maintenance man rather than a waiter, came to sort of greet us at our table. He looked very out of place & he knew it. He was much older with dishelved clothing, hands that didnt look clean, and unprepared to take our order. No other staff was around and we seen a sign as we entered that they were looking for wait staff, so we assumed he was the cook and just filling in while it was dead. He took our order then about 20 minutes later an actual waitress came over to deliver the food. She was sweet and apologetic. In the mean time she was busy starting her shift by cleaning the front & bustling around the back, when 2 different sets of groups/ families came in. They waited a bit for service or even to be greeted but no one acknowledged them. They seated themselves, waited with menus that they picked up themselves for over 15 minutes then got up and left due to lack of service. My family on the other hand was served dry overcooked food that not only looked unappealing but looked and tasted frozen. The children's food was alright with the exception of the half frozen fries (they ordered kids meals quesadilla & mini mozzarella sticks). My fiance and I ordered Patti melt & sriracha burger. My patty melt meat was thin like a finger nail, rubbery, dry as hell and the onions were barely cooked. Fiance burger was supposed to have onion rings on it which it did have one the size of a nickel. The portions are a joke. I mean the kids sizes are good but I got less than 12 fries and this is not the first time I thought their portions were ridiculous. Not for the price. We The ice cream is still great. The waitress, only waitress at all, made them perfectly and loaded it with extras for dropping one of my daughters by accident, which was nice of her. After eating about 1/2 my ice cream which was about 10 minutes after I ate my dry patty melt, I suddenly got very severe stomach cramps. I had to rush outside and leave my fiance to finish the bill and such. I've been home almost an hour now and I've spent the whole time in the bathroom. Was it the dirty kitchen? Probably. The dirty silverware? Probably. The lack of cleanliness on the cook? Probably. The food not cooked properly or refrigerated properly? Probably. So many board of health concerns I witnessed tonight and also a bunch of other times over the past few years. Not to mention a real manager needs to take some action and show their staff how to give a good client experience and how to take pride in their job. This Friendly's has been around for so long and many families like myself still come here for the nostalgia alone but they are caring less and less about the customers. It shows. Sadly 3 hour update: although I'm feeling better, about an hour after this post my 2 year old had gotten severe diarrhea. Yes I know TMI but she was fine before we ate there. Her and I ate from each others dishes. Go figure!

My family and I arrived hungry this Sunday morning. We were made to wait 15 minutes to order our breakfast because our server told us she was bringing food to a table of 8 that she had beside us, which we were initially okay with. When we finally were able to order, our food arrived semi-cold 30 minutes later. Eager to dig in as we were starving, we realized we had no utensils. I informed our server that we had no utensils. She acknowledged our request but Instead of getting utensils right away, she stopped at her big table of 8 and asked them if they needed any dessert. She then proceeded to take their dessert orders while we sat staring at our food which was getting even colder by the minute because we had no utensils. With no clue or urgency, she puts in the big table's order for desserts and then brings us our utensils and our napkins. To cap it off, our bill was about $5 more because she rang it in erroneously. She rectified it but not before trying to justify her mistake before admitting it. My kids love Friendly's but it will be a long time before we go back to that Saugus site, if we even do.

Got into the drive thru lane, no one else in the line, not busy at all...the girl said she’d be with me in a min....longest I ever waited to have an order taken, esp with no one there. A few minutes later she comes back and just has a super bad attitude. Mind you I wouldn't have even waited as long as they made me but my kids had a free kids meal for reading (with purchase of an adult item) and wanted something. Unfortunately even with the free voucher I have for my other kid, I don't think I will go there again. Super dissatisfied with service. And the food was sub par & cold 👎
