Update: I appreciate the thoughtful written response to my experience. Because of that, I have changed my rating from a 1 to a 4. It really does show that you take reviews seriously. Thanks!
I hope that our visit was a fluke, but everything I had was inedible yesterday. I got the Applewood Chicken special, and it was about 1/4” thick piece of chicken the size of my palm. I didn’t mind that it was tiny, except the texture of the meat was like biting into undercooked chicken. I cut it into 1/2” squares and the waitress offered to cook it more. When it came back, it was cooked more, but the texture only changed slightly and still was not edible. (By the way, I was super hungry and am NOT a picky eater. Besides, my 88 year old mother really wanted to eat there on her visit, and I so badly just wanted to eat it). The broccoli was chewy and I could not eat the stalks at all. And my roll was so stale and dry that I couldn’t eat that either.
I seldom write a bad review. I know any place can have a bad day. The waitress asked if it was better, and I let her know it still wasn’t edible. I left hungry, was not offered anything that I could eat in replacement, and just paid the bill since I didn’t want my Mom to feel bad about the experience.
