After 5 years, I finally tried Korean food again at this restaurant. I ordered the short rib plate with dumplings, salad, and rice, while my husband went for the spicy chicken with rice and Korean beer. Of course, they served us plenty of banchan (side dishes) as appetizers! The place has a nice vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating. It wasn’t too busy, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely worth it for our dinner—so happy to eat here again.

Honestly, with keeping in mind price and portion size, this place is okay. My friend recommended this place as having good food. I wanted to try it out and honestly, I can only take away two good things from here: the service (kind of) and the candies they offer near the front. When I arrived (they said the order would be ready in 20 minutes), I looked at a nearby menu and was confused with the prices because it had looked as though they overcharged us. The woman in front was quick to explain and it all made sense. I don't mind how much I pay for food, as long as the taste justifies it (and as long as they don't scam the prices too much with online ordering). I took a little candy from the bowl they had and the woman in the front said I could take more if I want (I forgot to do so, but I thought that was sweet). Well, they almost gave me the wrong bag, and had I not checked before leaving, it would've just been that. Ambiance was chill in this place. Things were tidy but still looked semi busy. Getting home, my friend mentioned that the soup was a smaller portion than before. I can appreciate how they have different sides compared to other Korean spots, but they weren't necessarily better. The sausages in the rice cake dish were of the store brand kind you buy when you don't want to spend money on the good sausages. Really disappointing. The sauce was good but too watery. The soup was pretty good. Tasted just like one you'd make at home. All in all, I would not recommend this place. You can get the bang for your buck elsewhere.

AUTHENTIC KOREAN FOOD! Oh my gosh!! They’ve got everything here! The menu is so well put together; it isn’t big but they’ve got it all! Walked in and we were seated quickly! They said we could sit where ever which is great cuz I always prefer a booth. The servers are so amazing, so tentative and professional and don’t act like you’re bothering them when you need something! Always on top of my water cup and even brought me out a pitcher of water! The inside had older candid photos taken in Korean that made the whole place feel welcoming. So I’ve been a few times already. We’ve ordered the BBQ Short Ribs, the Army Stew (Budae Jjigae), Steamed Dumplings, Spicy Rice Cakes, Spicy Chicken and Kimchi Pancake. I’ll start off with my absolute favorite.. the Army Stew! It was so authentic! Had everything in it from hot dogs to spam to kimchi! It was loaded!! My only complaint is the consistency.. the first time I had it, it was perfect, had ramen noodles and bubbling on the burner at our table. The second time they have us wheat noodles with it which is not the traditional way of eating Army Stew.. and it was extra spicy, I still ate it and it was still so so good! But my preference is ramen and not loaded with jalapeños making it super spicy.. so if you come here and have a preference ask these questions so you’re not surprised. BBQ Beef Short Ribs were delicious! Perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned over sautéed onions. It did not disappoint. The spicy chicken had rice cake slices in it with onions carrots and other veggies. It was perfect over some rice. The spicy rice cakes were cooked perfectly and were true to their name.. spicy! But just the right amount of sauce and rice cakes! Best I have ever had! The steamed dumplings were pretty good and loaded, authentic Korean dumplings with a good sauce for dip! The Beef Bulgogi was top 3 I have ever had and that’s only because I have spent some time in Korea before but it was well seasoned, perfectly cooked and perfect with rice! The Kimchi Pancake was delicious as well and so large! Bigger than my chopsticks! Great flavors and so enjoyable. The sides (bonchon) they gave before the food came out was also enjoyable; enough to hold you over before the food came out and each side dish is made to perfection. I even asked for more of them! Friend’s house is the best Korean restaurant I have had in the states! Authentic flavors, great service and just a nice chill spot for dinner. I regret all the times I’ve ever walking past this place and not walked in! I know Convoy has such good foods but trust me when I say this isn’t one you want to skip!

Loved our lunch at Friend’s House! We ordered the bulgogi BBQ beef and hot stone bibimbap and thought both were spectacular. We also ordered the Korean beer cans which were a lot of fun. Fast and friendly service, and we sat on the dog friendly patio. Definitely recommend if you like great-tasting food!

Under new ownership. Unfortunately, they haven’t taken down the old photos of the dishes they no longer have that are still posted when you walk in. However, their smaller menu is delicious. The banchan was tasty but spicy which some may not like. We took a friend that was gluten free and they server did the best he could to accommodate and even went above and beyond to check some ingredients to make sure. Everything we had was delicious, the 3 of us shared 4 dishes and were more than full. The new owners definitely made sure to step up their game as we didn’t enjoy the place when we went years ago.

Really enjoyed their flavors. The seafood pancake was super tasty.

Worst korean place I’ve ever been to by far. Whoever says that this is “authentic” doesn’t know what authentic korean food is at all. Charging 20 bucks for a nasty dish when there’s so many better korean restaurants near here such as Prime Grill and DJK korean bbq. For this place there are pictures displayed outside of the restaurant and most of them aren’t even on the menu but they still have it. So the menu isn’t even updated. I asked the waitress if they still have the shrimp dish i ordered a while ago, that is also displayed outside with the pictures. She said yes they still have it. I ordered that and when my dish came it was a completely different dish. When I asked the waitress if it was a different dish she starts arguing with us saying “no no it’s the EXACT same dish displayed on the picture, we used to have bigger shrimp but now we just have these smaller ones”. So tell me why there is a picture of it displayed outside that is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from the dish I received. The picture of the dish displayed outside was deep fried shrimp, no veggies, and the head and shell was still on it and it was huge shrimp and it wasn’t just completely drenched in sauce. The dish I received was already pealed shrimp, no head, the SMALLEST SHRIMP YOU CAN IMAGINE, 90% veggies, and drenched in sauce that wasn’t even good. There was probably a total of 10 tiny little shrimp in the whole dish. Never coming back here ever again, I don’t know what happened to this place, it used to not be this bad. Go to Prime Grill or DJK instead. Much better food quality and they know what they’re actually doing and talking about. This place is a complete waste of money.

my mom and I went here about a month ago. The restaurant was quite cozy and there was a bit of a weight maybe about 15 to 20 minutes, but not too long. The staff is extremely friendly and very hard-working! The food was pretty good. My mom and I had the beef bulgogi and yukgaejang. Both were very flavorful. The banchan were great too! Kimchi was on point. Looking forward to coming back here.

This had been on my friend's list for awhile and we decided to try it out. We came on a sunday at an early time so there was plenty of seats available. I had my daughter with me and they accommodated us rifht away. They gave her a bowl of rice and nori sheets and some toys to play with. I appreciated that so much! I tried the dolsat bimbimbop and it was so tasty. They were very fast in service and always asked if we needed anything. Parking may be hard, especially for convoy area.

We came for dinner on a weeknight. I got the kimchi fried rice, it was good but pretty basic, all the food was, I didn't really taste the kimchi in it. The bulgogi tasted like it was bought from Costco, not bad, but nothing special. Fried dumplings also tasted like they were frozen, good fry, but not super impressive. Overall, nothing was bad, there wasn't anything I didn't like, but I wasn't impressed with anything either. My favorite part was the little appetizer plates they brought out before food arrived. The restaurant was cute, service relatively quick, waited about 10-15 minutes for food to arrive. If I were to come out to convoy, I feel like I would prefer one of the many other restaurants that justify having to pay to park everywhere in Convoy.

Amazing food and even better service! The employees were so welcoming and checked in on us many times during our meal. The inside of the restaurant was very pretty with lots of greenery and plenty of indoor seating. Now on to the star of the show, the food! Everything tasted perfect, portions were large and prices were fair. My mouth is watering just looking at this pics again! Can't wait to come back!

Yummyyy everything here was so hearty and delicious! Exactly what I was craving for home-y authentic Korean food. I appreciated that the banchan had multiple assortments, the spicy bbq chicken was flavorful, and my tofu soup was so warm and hearty. Service was quick and efficient! They even gave us a 10% discount to Sunday, the ice cream store next door which was so nice. Nice ambience with plentiful seating - indoor and out. Parking can be tough so be ready to find street parking if none in the lot are available. Would def come back here again!

It was my first time here because one of my brothers loves this place. The parking can be a little challenging because of the neighboring restaurants. We were seated right away so that was awesome! We ordered what we wanted, but it took about 25-30 mins. The food was delicious and the portions were a good amount that I was able to take home leftovers for my next meal! The service was ok, but I'd still come back. You should come and try it for yourself. Thank you!

We each got the galbitang because we were craving something soupy and it was delicious! Lots of meat, but biggest downside was that all the radish was undercooked. Would have really enjoyed that with the meal. Banchan and service were solid though!

My daughter likes to go here for the bulgogi plate. I decided to try their short ribs & fried dumplings. The meat marinade here is a bit sweet for my liking. The short rib was chewy. As you can see the dumplings came out looking crispy but I was left disappointed. It was not crispy at all and tasted burnt. Our service was good just like every other time. It wasn't too crowded this time so we were seated quickly. Most of the time it's a full house and can get loud since it's small place and the seats are pretty close together.

The food was fantastic. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I've had my fair share of Korean food and it definitely is a great option at the Convoy. The mackerel was a bit on the fishy side but the lemon helps with that. Both the soups come with a side of rice and banchans (side dishes) are complimentary with free refills. Service was friendly. They conversed with us and gave tips on where to go as we were out of state visitors. They have two sections inside. When you enter, there're doors that go to a covered outdoor area with a fireplace. We stayed in the indoor area. It's a casual place to go and grab something. Nothing fancy.

Quick service, authentic Korean food with BBQ and hotpot options. Best for parties and family dining. Well arrange table setting and deco for indoor and cute patio seating with flaming heaters next to tables. Servers brought water and utensil to table and explain the menu for any questions. We ordered a large kimchi dumpling hot pot for 5. Rice and pickled small plates (side dishes) also served. Server check up regularly. Plenty of dumpling, spam and pork belly in the soup. You can order it no spice if preferred. Price is on the light side for the portion. Food is tasty and comforting for a cold night. Solid choice for Korean family food. SOLID spot for Korean food! I haven't had to wait long for a table, but it isn't ever empty inside either. Parking can be rough, just as any other place on Convoy. Service is great and I would recommend coming here for a casual, chill spot for dinner! I've tried: - Tteokbokki - one of my favs, must add ramen! - Tofu soup - super good flavor, warm and comforting on a cold day - Bulgogi - a good amount of meat, but definitely on the sweeter side compared to other bulgogi I've had in the past. I would definitely come back soon and would want to try the army stew next time!

Huge portions!!! MUST GET the spicy squid. It had onions, zucchini, and other vegetables, and was perfectly sweet and spicy. The rice cakes were not the best I've ever had. I wish the sauce was a little thicker and flavorful like the spicy squid. Overall great price for the portions and a good place to have a family style meal.

Great spot to stop by for your Korean cravings! Parking is usually terrible in this lot so I usually try to come early to account for the possibility of needing to street park. I ordered the seafood tofu soup (mild spice) which was tasty with a good portion size. The perfect comfort meal on a cold day! If tofu soup isn't your thing, they also have some other popular Korean dishes. Their seafood pancake also hit the spot and is great for sharing. Good variety of sides too with free refills. I think this will become my new go-to spot in San Diego for tofu soup! Love supporting family businesses too!

Was craving some tofu soup and Friend's House did not disappoint! I got the beef tofu soup and was very happy with the level of spiciness and quality of ingredients. It also same with a side of rice and additional sides like kimchi, cucumbers, fish cakes, potatoes, etc. Service was very friendly, fast, and stopped by our tables a few times to check in on us. We had a great experience and will be back!

This place was okay. I came with a friend who was a pescatarian so we didn't get any bbq items. I love bibimbap so we got that - it was ok, not great not bad. We also got the tofu soup, which was less than stellar. Heads up for you vegetarians- a lot of their vegetarian dishes especially their banchan have beef flavoring in it (including the tofu soup) which was a disappointment to my pescatarian friend. Good for carnivores but not vegetarians. The waitress was kind enough to let us know which was nice. The vegetarian bibimbap was our favorite dish, and overall this place is on the pricier side.

Food and service was Amazing!!!! Shout-out to the friendly ladies at the restaurant!! We loved everything!.. side dishes were great, prompt service, Great selection, good portion sizes and Reasonable!!

Another quaint Korean restaurant that serves delicious foods. They were fast and furious! After ordering a few items food came out 10-15 minutes later scolding hot and impressed. No frills restaurant that delivers and got my Korean fix for the night. For sure will return!

I would give this 3.5 stars. Nothing about the food was bad, although maybe on the saltier side, but it wasn't mind blowing. Parking in this plaza is super tough during busy hours so keep that in mind. Service was good and the food came out super quick. Did the Combo B which was pricey for 2 people but is a good amount of food for 3. The bulgogi was definitely more sweet than what I'm used to but still good. Good portions and good banchan! Worth a try and a good fix if you're craving some Korean hot stone meats.

It's been 6 years since I ate here. I came with a friend, and saw I ate here before with the Asian Foodies MeetUp. I feel the same way, the food is expensive, and portions small. I ordered grilled mackerel, but it cost $20 for two fillets and a bowl of rice. Mackerel is just about the cheapest of fishes, sells for $2.29 a lb at Zion Market. The taste of the mackerel wasn't very exciting, I couldn't taste the grill flavor, and I wish they put some marinate on it. The dish I really wanted is Beef Bulgogi (but I like pork better) but it cost $27 and I couldn't bring myself to order it, too expensive. My friend ordered dumplings for about $14, but I did not taste them. My friend only ordered dumplings, which I did not taste. I come to the same conclusion as my previous visit, 6 years before. Not coming back ! Too many other places on Convoy St to try.

I wanted to open up my aperture with Korean food in San Diego because when I think of Korean food I always think of BBQ. I think of all the meat sizzling on the grill, all the banchan, and especially all my clothes smelling like BBQ smoke. So I went to Friend's House and ordered their dolsot bibimbap. Now this isn't my first rodeo with this hot stone dish and so of course my fave is the burnt rice parts at the bottom. The portion was a little too much for me but I would definitely order this again. As for the atmosphere, you can't beat the patio area on a sunny afternoon, this is what you're paying for in San Diego so why not enjoy it!

The interior decor is modeled after an old traditional Korean village. Warm inviting colors abound whilst the friendly staff greets you. This was my first visit as daughter picked out our lunch spot. She loves this place! Our nice server answered all of my questions and provided excellent service. The food was fresh and full of wonderful flavors. My dish was presented in a sizzling, steaming plate! I enjoyed my food and look forward to returning. The parking lot is shared with other businesses. We got lucky and found a spot right out front.

Stumbled in here after passing by it for so many years. I really didn't know what I wanted but was definitely hungry.. Was fortunate to find a spot out front and was seated by Angel immediately. Litzy took care of us. She checked in on us often and replenished our drinks. Decided on bulgogi with rice as well as a bibimbop with egg. Both came out quickly and were huge! Enough to share and split with a party of four. Delicious food thats priced right. Yes, it wasn't ayce but it didn't need to be. The place was warm as they weren't running their AC but they did have fans on full blast which was appreciated. Their restroom is spotless as is the dining area. Their decor of throwback items including a rotary phone was cool. Inside their restroom, there's even a few cool things in there of characters smiling. Interesting. Came hungry and left full. Success. I'd be back again to try more of their options.

Parking was hard to find and the service was kind of slow here. We actually thought they had forgotten about us. It took them a while to help our table. We finally got water and banchan after 10 mins of waiting. We loved the variety and texture of each banchan dish. I ordered the spicy squid with rice and it was really spicy. I wish I could ask to make it mild or less spice. The squid to veggie portion was balanced. My husband got the bulgogi rice dish and he said it was flavorful. It reminded him of Korean bbq. Overall, it's a decent place for groups and date if you don't mind the parking situation.

Was craving Korean food and was seated right away upon arriving. The banchan were unique from what I was used to. The kimchi for instance was very, very gooey rather than juicy. The Beef Tofu Soup was also quite different. It wasn't what I was used to since it had a very, very strong and unique kick to it. It wasn't spicy and was very flavorful though. Zucchini were also included which I don't see often in any other restaurant, so that was nice. Eggs were not provided though. Overall, I thought this dish was okay. I wasn't used to the flavor due to that unique strong flavor it had. For the Bulgogi Bibimbap, it was delicious! It was hot, flavorful with the help of gochujang, and had a great variety of ingredients. Parking can be a bit tough but there's plenty of street parking if you're okay with walking. Staffs were super nice and very attentive in refilling our water and our banchan.

Very homey feel to a Korean tofu soup place. Service was pretty good, attentive to refilling our sides. Wish the bean sprouts had more sesame oil but otherwise pretty good. Bulgogi bibimbap was huge and sizzling in a stone pot, and there was gochujang sauce to add and mix. Very classic dish, and contained lots of veggies like spinach bean sprouts and carrots. Not too salty. The portion was pretty big, I couldn't finish it and had to take the rest to go. Tofu soup was super flavorful and the meat and tofu wasn't overcooked.

Such a good meal! We wanted tofu soup and remember eating at Friends a while back. Best decision! The service was great, I don't remember his name, but our sever was attentive and patient. He kept checking in on us periodically to ensure we were good. The place was not busy when we got there, it was quiet with two other tables other than us. By the time we left, it was busy and at least 4 more tables showed up. It truly does feel like you are a Friends house! The spice was just right and the food was 10/10! We will be coming back for sure!

FRIENDS IS HANDS DOWN MY FAVORITE KOREAN RESTAURANT IN SAN DIEGO!!! This noodle dish I got in the picture was really good and a pretty big portion if you are sharing with friends. The staff here are very nice and the ambiance is awesome!! Would recommend :)

UPDATE. Galbi quality has gone down hill. Ordered the Galbi when I meant to order the "rice plate Galbi" and after realizing the mistake I thought since I paid more I'd be getting more. Was I wrong.... $32.99 Galbi for basically bones and barely any meat. It literally looked like left over scraps (the discarded unwanted bones and meat)instead of $32.99 worth of Galbi. And the very meat that was received was chewy and stretchy.. yes, stretchy. It did come with a ride of rice and the typical banchan but could someone explain to me the difference between the rice plate Galbi and this order?! $10+ difference was not justifiable in any way. If I was being served scraps of bones and meat then I might as well should have paid lesser for the same thing. Do yourselves a favor, if you are craving Galbi - spend $13.99 at Trader Joe's for their frozen Galbi which is much tastier and meatier and 2x more of what I got here. No lie! Such a delicious and cozy Korean spot in San Diego! The abundance of sides they offered was great to see. My personal favorite was their kimchi. It was fresh and quite pungent. I enjoyed all of the larger plates, especially their galbi! The marinade they used was sweet and full of umami. The japchae and kimchi fried rice were enjoyable but the noodles were a bit chewy (overcooked) and the rice felt more like a fried rice rather than kimchi fried rice. Menu prices are a bit pricey for SD but for the portion sizes I'll say that it is reasonable. There isn't too much parking available in the lot, I was lucky to find one right in front of the restaurant!

It's a cute little Korean joint in the middle of Convoy. We had the sweet beef stone pot with onions. Delicious. I had the bibimbap which wasn't amazing, but it was nothing special. There weren't enough side dishes. The ambiance is a traditional not super fancy Korean restaurant which is great for families. The service was good.

I always stop by this spot while in San Diego. Best authentic Korean food this side of town.

Been coming here for years and I love the place and the owners of the place are lovely people but today I went and ordered the same thing I've ordered there for years and when it came it came with pork and when I asked why it has pork the server said that's the only way we sell it with pork I said no buddy I been coming here for years this the first time it comes with pork he picked it up and threw it in trash and got very mad where I almost got up and smacked him but I just decided to leave Little buff aisan guy with short hair kinda

The food was soooo good and is always so comforting. I ordered the stone pot bibimbap and the tofu soup with kimchi. Our order came with unlimited banchan, including Napa cabbage kimchi, pickled radish, spicy bean sprouts, fish cake, broccoli salad, potatoes, and sesame oil rice paper. The restaurant was pretty busy for the Sunday dinner service but the servers checked in on us often. Although I ordered the tofu soup with kimchi they gave me the wrong order-- seafood soup. I still enjoyed my meal but will try something else next time.

Super busy place on Friday night. However, parking in that plaza is a nightmare. It's a one way and if you don't find parking you'll have to exit and circle again. So minus 1 star. The service is great! All the staff were really nice and super attentive. Your order is promptly taken and your banchan is served. A good assortment of banchan is provided such as kimchi, sweet potato, broccoli, picked cucumbers, fish cake and a few other items. They walk around offering to refill of your banchan items. Ambiance is busy, as they quickly turn around tables to sit other people waiting. We ordered 1 veggie bibimbap and 1 beef bulgogi bibimbap. It's a hefty portion of veggies, rice, egg and beef. The best is the crispy rice that is at the bottom. So, so good.

Food was good but a little pricey. Service was decent but didn't get checked up on too often. Lots of side dishes and a good menu to choose from. Would probably come again.

Felt like getting some Korean tofu stew today. So we headed to Asian food central in San Diego - Convoy. They have a parking lot but its Convoy. You'll have a better chance hitting the lottery than finding a parking spot in the parking lot the restaurant is in. Street parking it is! We ordered the seafood pancake, spicy rice cakes with added ramen (for additional charge) and tofu stew. Of course all orders came with banchan. The seafood pancakes were ok. Kind of flat (literally) and missing of flavor. But pancake none the less. The rice cakes on the other hand were not missing any flavors as it packed a small heat in every bite with the sauce. I probably would've skipped the saussage (first time I've had this with saussage) and asked for cheese or something. This dish did not have cheese. The tofu stew with the banchan really hit the spot. Lots of big chunks of pork and veggies in there. They serve the egg already in the tofu so ask for the egg on the side if you like it done in another way. The rice came first with the banchan, ask for the bowl lid to keep your rice warm. There's definitely a good few minutes between when the rice hits your table and when the tofu arrives. The wait staff were all friendly but stretched a bit thin. They had the inside to serve and the outside. Overall, I like this place. I definitely would recommend this place and would return. I'd like to try the large Korean hot pot next time I return with more people at the table.

Everything is delicious, my favorite Korean restaurant on Convoy! I've tried the bulgogi and galbi, bulgogi soup, beef tofu soup, and seafood pancake. My favorite was the tofu soup, it was flavorful and comforting and the right amount of spiciness! The bulgogi soup could use more flavor and the seafood pancake could be crispier but still good.

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile. Finally came for lunch with a friend. We shared a kimchi pancake, which was good. Her spicy tofu soup was also good, as were the banchan (sides). My spicy crab soup was good...except for the fact that the crab was beyond mushy. I can only assume that the crab was far from fresh. I still enjoyed the broth but the crab should have been the main star of the dish. I was also disappointed at how slow the service was. They need more help on a Friday for lunch. Unfortunately, I will not be in a hurry to return.

Food was just okay nothing to write home about. However, the hard working Latino man who does everything needs a pay raise! He does a great job greeting, taking & delivering orders, taking payments, etc. while the owner chills out with friends.

A pretty solid place for tofu soups and bibimbaps. This is our usual go to for Korean food since we know that the tofu soups and bibimbaps are good. The tofu soup is especially nice on a cold rainy day. It comes our boiling hot and really warms you up. You can choose the spiciness level and the type of protein you want in there. The bibimbap is great if you're craving more vegetables. It comes out also sizzling in a stone pot and the rice is nice and crunchy at the bottom. Careful in touching the pot though! It's extremely hot even after some time has passed. There is a good variety in their banchan dishes and they're nice to nibble on along with the main dishes. We usually don't deviate from our go to's but I remember their seafood pancake being a good dish to share. We weren't a big fan of some of the other soups we tried, there weren't as many variety (diff veggies/proteins) in some soup that made eating it become a bit more tedious. Those are also a bit more pricey. For the tofu soups and bibimbaps, this place is pretty good!

I got the sundubu jiggae with pork and I thought it was good. However, it was slightly more salty than I would've wanted. Overall, it was good but personally I've had better sundubu before. They also charge extra for rice other than the 1 bowl they provide for you which is usually not the case at other places. My Korean friend got the doenjang jiggae and he also thought it was just okay. This is a cute and cozy place in convoy but I don't think I would go back again. Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5

We go here every few years or so. I appreciate the selection on their menu... they have several kbbq items, bowls, soups, etc. lots of unlimited banchan on the side too! I always get their bibimbap in the hot stone pot. It comes to you sizzling and the rice gets nice and crispy on the bottom. The servers are quiet and you can tell they were busy, but definitely working hard. Our waters were kept full and empty plates cleared. We ordered and waited about 15 mins or so for our food. The food itself is your typical Korean fare. All good things! The atmosphere is cozy, a decent size dining area, both indoors and enclosed patio.

First off, if you go to any restaurant in this general area, parking is very hectic. The plaza is relatively small and street parking is extremely difficult so please save yourself by going to the parking structure. You will have a 5 minute walk max, but it is worth it to not park in these plazas because it's a tight fit. Ok onto the food. The banchan was pretty standard and they let you have two free refills of all the banchan which was nice. We ordered the tteokbokki which was about a medium for the spice level and it had some sausage and fish cake ( I didn't realize until this point that there was no hard boiled eggs which was a little different from what I normally see). We also got a stone pot bibimbap which was so delicious and it was hot until the last bite which was amazing. It's definitely good for a cold night.

This is my go to Korean food place. I drove by it for years and never ate there until recently. I love the food here, everything I've had is among. The workers are really friendly and the restaurant is clean and really nice.

This is one of our family's go to KBBQ spots in SD. They have great combo packages that offer a couple main entrees and sides of rice. Even their individual main entrees are big enough to share. The staff are always attentive and willing to refill the various banchan items (condiments to eat alongside the entrees). The parking isn't the greatest, as their plaza/strip mall they are located is jam- packed with other popular spots. They have both indoor and outdoor seating which is great. The outdoor seating is covered and heated. It is able to accommodate the larger parties.

Insanely big portion for the price. I got the seafood udon and it was only $22 for the biggest bowl ever. There were over 4 crabs and like 15 squids and 8 shrimps along with lots of veggies and noodles. Could easily feed two people. The banchan is ok. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Price: 6/5
