Frigate's Waterfront Bar & Grill

I came in here after my nail appointment to try something new and seen/heard of Frigate’s. I started with the Calamari which was good then my entree was a Macadamia Snapper with Risotto and green beans. The snapper didn’t have much of a good flavor that drew me in and my risotto was more like a rice pudding. Risotto is tough to make so I get maybe I had a not so great batch. My mom had the spicy Mediterranean Bowl which was pretty good. The key lime pie was so bitter with lemon juice or puree used. As for my sever, she was kind, attentive and informative. The view was good but there is construction going on so that can be a bit of a view killer. Overall, a good dinning experience.

We had a wonderful lunch experience at this restaurant. The restaurant with its bars is very large and spacious. The outdoor seating is wonderful. As we dined, we watched boats pull in, and people disembarked for lunch. It's easy to tell that this is a great place for the locals. People know each other and get along very well. Our waitress gave us excellent service. We had some delicious drinks and our food was fantastic. We started with a spinach and goat cheese salad. Our entrees were the shrimp & scallop with noodles lunch special, and a daily catch special of Wahoo fish. It was so pleasant sitting outside at this restaurant that we ended up staying for quite some time. This would be a regular stop for us if we lived in the area. We had fun and left with full stomachs! Wonderful place!!!

If I could give this restaurant six stars I would but Google will only let me give five. It has to be in my top 10 restaurants of all time. Very good food. Our waitress Kaitlyn was very attentive. Has a great outdoor seating area and you can even pull your boat up if you feel like it. There is some construction going on on the road outside which I am sure they will be happy with it being done so make sure you don't miss the turn. The shrimp appetizer was phenomenal and I think they put a whole grouper on my wife's sandwich. I had the fish and chips which were excellent as well as the French onion soup which was great. Followed up with a hot lava cake and ice cream. We will be coming back to West Palm Beach to do some more diving in the future and this is a sure stop for us.

We've been a bit on the struggle bus finding a good place to eat in Florida. I've always stuck to rule of "ask a local " so that's what we did. So glad we did because that's how we ended up at Frigate's! The French Dip was delicious and such great flavor. The Blackened Chicken Mac-n-Cheese was also a huge hit! Chase was a wonderful server and walked us through the many food options. Definitely will be back during our stay out here!

First time visit and not so impressed with both the service and ambience. Ordered an appetizer for the table and received no napkins nor utensils for a long time until we could finally get someone's attention. Server finally showed back up and took our order.....food came and we were half through eating before she showed again, by then 2 of us had been out of drinks for probably 10 minutes. I don't like to post bad about servers as I don't know how much they are responsible for, but this was obviously either understaffing or train issue. I ordered the macadamia grouper sandwich that tasted great, mango chutney was awesome....the fries were crispy outside and very good as well. My wife had the spicy tuna bowl that was very good as well, both with large portions. We were seated at the lower outside bar, where the locals reside and can be quite noisy. I would go back as the food was good and reasonably priced for the area and being on the water.... hoping for better service and quieter.

The food here is awesome! They seemed a bit short staffed or else rhe place is just so big our waitress had a bunch of tables so a small wait for the drinks. We sat outside as we were in beach attire but the music and atmosphere were fun. The bar area looked nice but we didn't visit it. We had the risotto and Mahi sandwich. Both were superb.

Amazing place on the water with friendly service from Chase! Food was excellent and they even have a decent Chamber! We had a couple of rolls, Cuban salad and spicy tuna bowl, everything was delicious, decent prices and quick service. If you like a loud rock and roll place, Thai is not for you. Peaceful and relaxing:) If you are on Singer Island and looking for a place to eat, not much there, stop by! Highly recommend!

Sat out back on a beautiful evening, enjoyed the food and cocktails, and service was great!

Lunch with 6 with friends & we had a great time. Ilove to travel, eat in restaurants and leave reviews. Fortunately, this one I give 5 stars. I guess we got lucky because I see some of the other reviews. We did arrive by boat. There was plenty of space. We ate inside because it was hot outside. Service was great. I had the fish and chips that was delicious. The french fries were crispy and not greasy & the fish was a small portion but enough. I had a friend who had the shrimp with the rice and kelp. Also, that was very good. Another one had a mahi mahi with the pasta. She shared the pasta with me, which was good. Maybe we all got lucky, but there was 6 of us who enjoyed our lunch. I would definitely recommend and definitely would go back. Thank you. We had a great time.

We decided to take an evening drive to meet up with family from out of town. With a reservation for four at 6pm, we were welcomed and seated immediately as the restaurant wasn't too busy. The food and drinks menu was straightforward, which was a relief. We started with lamb chop lollipops and oysters, both of which were very good. We also ordered a variety of mojitos. As the dinner rush began, our waitress became scarce, and we waited a long time for our drinks, which returned with flat beer foam. The food was overall just okay. From Yelp photos, it seems the lobster roll portions vary. The Tahini Salmon was reportedly good, but the fish and chips were mediocre, and the crab legs were overcooked. Our family has simple dining expectations, but 2.5 hours for dinner was excessive. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return or recommend this restaurant.

Beautiful location on the water at the outside bar. Service ehhh! It would be nice if they asked how you were doing and how everything was going before you were almost done. Drinks, lacking alcohol and carbonation on drinks not there. Other alcohol drinks were full and asked if we were done? Didn't really care that we weren't drinking them. Stuck with one drink since the first was not that great. Soups were not good at all, luke warm with no real taste to distinguish what they really were. Wings were dry as hell and skimpy, the only thing the bartender said was that's not the usual. Asked if we wanted them to redo after we were pretty much done. Offered a dessert but was a little too late for anything. People ask why you don't tell the management. Maybe if we are asked after we get the food I would respond. Maybe if you put focus in the kitchen and just get it right the first time. Don't get me going on the burger! Quality, was just not there at $200+! After thinking about it overnight, those were the worst wings I ever had! Dry and tough!

We sat outside with a nice breeze for an early dinner. Our waiter was attentive and took our drink orders promptly. We had the same thing: the Macadamia Coconut Grouper on a wrap with chutney and sweet potato fries as a side that comes with a maple type sauce. Everything was delightfully flavorful. We were stuffed!

Hostess was very unwelcoming when she saw I was a party or one. Sat me in a booth that I did not ask for and waitress was equally annoyed at my party size in spite of fact that restaurant was not full. I ordered the salad with salmon and the salmon was almost raw. When I asked for it to be cooked more waitress said she'd be back. I saw her stand and flirt/talk with a customer at the bar before returning to me 10 min later! Food was bland and place looks like the kind you don't want to look in kitchen!

Great macadamia coconut crusted fish but I would order it as a dinner meal rather than as a sandwich if possible. The crust was so good that it didn't need the toppings or bread. I like that they let you choose any side without a fuss or a chart but the Asparagus was given to me plain with no salt, seasoning, oil or anything. I assume they just forgot to put a little something on it because my order was a rare 'to-go' order, it was good asparagus though! Outdoor seating in nice, not the best water view in the area but they did a good job with the outside area that they do have.

Walked in and was immediately greeted. Bright us to seat right by the water on their huge outside 3 layered deck. Great waitress, not rushing us but also not ignoring us. We had Chardonnay and sangria and I believe our waitress was Rachel. Our food came timely and was so good. I couldn't finish my goat cheese salad with grilled chicken and my hubby got the half salad, half sandwich (which he loved and finished. Both meals were great waitress was great. Even manager checked on us. Very nice experience

A beautiful sunny day deserves to be spent on the water! It was quite busy and were lucky enough to get two seats at the bar. We had great service as there were a few bartenders on shift. The drinks were cold and the food was hot and tasty!

We came here after a day at the beach, so everyone was hungry! We started off with calamari, wasn't anything too special..just tasted like fried food! Needless to say, we still gobbled it up. We had a party of 6 and only saw our waitress a handful of times. Service wasn't great and she seemed to have an attitude the whole while waiting our table. Our spirits were high as we were excited to eat, though! I personally fully enjoyed what I ordered (Lamchops), the lampchops came on a bed of fried spinach with was surprisingly good as well, 4/6 of our party, though, were not impressed by their dishes, unfortunately. We sat outside, and I will say it was very nice! Right by water, the atmosphere was definitely an upside!

Service was horrendous. Food is mediocre. It's packed, loud, nothing special truthfully. We had an incident with the valet attendant and management handled it extremely poorly. He essentially kicked my fiancée and I off the property for his valet vandalizing our car.

Cannot understand the average review here. Probably because it used to not be as great as it is. If you haven't been here for a while do yourself a favor and give it another try because their food is sensational, plus the views and ambience cannot be beat.

This place was very nice, and the food was delicious. Came here to eat with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. For a seafood place it is very nice to have exceptionally tasty food. The service was nice as well, they could be a little more attentive once in a while. But they were very down to earth. Food came out fast as well, didn't have to wait too long. The inside of the restaurant was very marine life themed. Lots of cool designs. Bathroom is clean. Won't order any sushi because I saw the sushi guy digging in this teeth with his bare hands. But overall, everything we ordered was a 11/10. Must try place

We came here for the New Years Eve Brunch. The service for refills on our drinks was ehh, but when the waiter did come he was very friendly. I think he felt like he may have been disrupting our breakfast but we really need liquids to drink. Anyway- the food was delicious! Our party on a whole tried everything and we were all fully satisfied. I'm not sure how it would be if we bought a dish full of food because there wasn't anything that stood out to us as being "great" so I think it may be a bit lackluster if you buy a proper entree. We were very happy have spent the day on the river eating and spending our last brunch of 2024 there. Also we are outside and that was pleasant as it was cooler. But I can imagine there being unpleasant feelings if it was mid summer as there wasn't much shade.

Went for a friends birthday, ample parking in the lot and we chose to sit outside by the water. There was live music being played and a great breeze. They do have little lamps on the table to help see the menus in the dark but we all had to use our phone flashlights as well. Micheal was our server and he was great! The chicken wings were delicious, I wish I got a picture but everyone was too hungry to wait. The steak was cooked perfectly. Now this grouper sandwich, the menu says it's one of the best out there. I would have to say it is THE best fish sandwich I have ever had. Definitely will be back!

By far the best sushi I've had in my life! It gets really busy but it's worth the wait.

We were staying in North Palm Beach for spring training. We stopped in after a game because it looked like a nice place and on the water. It was a very good decision as we had a great experience. Kristi S, our server, did a wonderful job taking care of us. She was very friendly, attentive and patient. The food was great. Everyone liked their meal very much, so much so we are talking about going back before we leave town. Highly recommended!!

The menu is huge, the sushi was delicious and so was the fish, but the jambalaya was not so good. Service was a little slow, it's a big restaurant I guess is expected. The location was nice but I wanted to sit outside and noticed some empty tables and was told right away there is nothing outside. I was given the table with most traffic in the restaurant. It's a nice place but I recommend tapas and small plates and drinks.

Amazing Conch. We were delighted by the fitters and lightly breaded fitters. The salad was excellent and the fish sandwich was amazing. The restaurant is next to the US Highway 1 Bridge over the Earman River. Traffic speeds are very fast, so making the sharp right turn into the narrow entrance is a challenge. The parking lot is small, and valet parking has the choice parking.

Absolutely delicious drinks and meal! The grouper sandwich did not disappoint and was as good as the reviews!

Love this place, come back every year on our Spring Training trip to Jupiter/ West Palm Beach area. The food is great, the water side seating and outdoor bar are amazing.

I was by myself so sat at the outside bar. It was nice but didn't have a great view of the water. Should've pushed for a table. The location is really nice. The sashimi platter was so fresh! Decent amount of fish for the price. The cracked conch was ok. Definitely tasted more breading than conch. They gave you a lot though. I really wanted sushi but it seemed like the spicy tuna roll was the only one with raw fish. Most of it was tempura or fried. They do have a happy hour but I came an hour too early.....

We had a large party of 13 and Jae P. Was extremely accommodating and enjoyable to spend our night with! The food was delicious and the vibe of the restaurant was outstanding, a must try when in WPB!

Very Nice for Lunch Frigate's Waterfront Bar & Grill is a tropical Sports Bar, and we have observed a good deal of traffic this week. Our experience is that Lunch is much more subdued than dinner and late evening events. Frigate's Waterfront Bar & Grill appeals to a younger crowd, families, and to mature folks. Frigate's Waterfront Bar & Grill is a large restaurant with several indoor and outdoor dining areas; there is ample parking. Ambience: Tropical Sports Bar with much sun light Service: We commend Sonny Menu: Seafood, Soups, Salads, Burgers Dining: Mahi Mahi, Goat Cheese, and Spinach Salad Noise Level: Very comfortable - Island music We dined on the inviting waterfront outdoor patio in the mid-seventies in full sun with Palm tree shade. The fare is appropriate for the tariff!

I am telling you! This is the best, The Best grouper sandwich ever, instead of fries I got fresh asparagus, delicious! The ambiance is awesome, service it too and food is amazing!

Location can't be beat at this place. Very beautiful waterfront, outside bar area and plenty of outdoor seating. We went on a Saturday and got lucky and didn't have to use the valet parking because of arriving before they opened. This was on Saturday, March 2, 2024 Once seated, everything went downhill. First drink had to be remade and it was the basic vodka and splash of cranberry ($9.50 which we thought is way overpriced). When we finally were asked if we would like to order food, we didn't have to wait too long for it to come out. I had buffalo wings that were so dry they were hard to eat. Hubby had the spicy sweet thai chili style wings and the taste was very good (just overcooked). Our friend had the Blackened Dolphin Reuben and she said it was delicious. Hubby got his second beer pretty quickly but we were never asked again about drinks. Our friend wanted dessert and another drink but we finally gave up. Once the place got more people, we were lost. That doesn't usually happen when you choose to sit at the bar. But, bartenders left the bar people and concentrated on the tables. Once she came back, I jokingly told our group that she had mastered the "no eye contact maneuver" really well. She walked by us several times without looking at us. We finally asked for our check and left. It doesn't take much to make bar people happy when you get the right ones coming in. We won't be back. There are plenty of other places that are happy to have us.

Fantastic eatery! My sister, great aunt, and I enjoyed our food and whole experience.

I've been here before, and the ambiance is always nice. They are right on the intercostal, although right across from that is an IHOP. But there is a boat marina so you see people coming in and out. One time they were trying out the water jet pack which was super fun to watch. The wait staff is very nice here. Typically you should not come if you are in your rash. Lunch hour is sometimes difficult to get through and get back to work, but the food is great. I absolutely love their lobster roll. It is cold and has the perfect amount of seasoning. Not a lot of dressing. They're bun is the perfect size with just the right amount of toast and butter on it. It's not overwhelming but it does hold together. The macadamia nut encrusted sandwich is also really good. Their bathrooms are clean and the parking lot is usually in a parking, but if not they have valet.

Stay Away!!! We waited over 1/2 hour for our drinks, only to have the manager, Phil, tell us off!!! Our waitress was lovely, and felt terrible about the terrible bar service. Owners should wake up and find someone else to mind the shop. We paid for our appetizers, only to have Phil follow us out into parking lot and behave in the most despicable manner! I'd give zero stars if I could!

Ate here for lunch on a Sunday. The lunch menu doesn't have a large variety to choose from. Our waiter was friendly but service was a bit slow. I started with a margarita and the lemon pepper calamari.. Definitely my favorite choice of the afternoon, the calamari was delicious. Super fresh and seasoned nicely, the marinara sauce provided was a nice compliment. For my entree I chose the fried shrimp with French fries and coleslaw. The shrimp batter had no seasoning and could have been fried harder. The coleslaw was ok, fries were as expected. I would return for dinner but was not wow'd by lunch at all.

Yes. I'm going with Five Stars This isn't a typical five star restaurant but what is these days? Solid, well prepared and well thought out menu. Some interesting specials. A decent happy hour and The Staff! From the optional valet out front to the host personnel, to the bartenders and servers, a fine group of people. After a great lunch today we noticed our server going through the menu with a newer member of the staff. Pure class. The setting is great, right on a canal with some small boat traffic. The terraced outdoor seating is nicely maintained with umbrellas for the hot days and heaters for the chilly nights. The inside areas are spaced out and the whole place is designed nicely. They offer a great selection of wines by the glass and nice cocktails as well. The food is beautifully presented and promptly served by friendly, well trained staff. Kudos to the management for creating a real gem.

Went to Frigates for a quick glass of wine before our lunch at daughter's house. Talked them into going there for dinner. The wife and son in law had the grouper sandwhich and they ate every bite. My daughter had the lobster roll while holding her newborn, 2 1/2 months old. It looked amazing. Looked like an entire lobster in the roll. She loved it. I had the Broiled Group over a lovely risotto. I ate all the grouper first with small tastes of risotto, because the grouper was out of sight. Best meal we had on our visit to see the grandbaby for 4 days. Nice atmosphere as well, right on the canal. On our list of favorites for the next visit

Love the atmosphere of the outdoor bar. The food is good but somewhat pricy. I had the grouper sandwich and my friend got a chicken and Brie sandwich. She wasn't terribly impressed with hers but mine was quite tasty. The bartender was in NO HURRY to help people! He never checked to see how it was or if we needed anything. I asked for more water and my friends was also empty. We assumed he would fill both but he only filled mine. Just seemed like he wasn't thrilled to be there working and he had zero attention for detail!

3.5/5 stars (don't know why we can't do half stars) You can tell this is a locals spot, the bartenders knew everyone sitting around us. We ended up sitting at the covered outside bar, it just rained so it wasn't crazy busy but the bar was still full. Kept it easy with drinks, we went with bar classics, for me a Captain & Ginger and for my friend a vodka soda. Can't go wrong with either of these options. For food, I went with the Sweet Potato Seared Mahi Mahi. I loved the idea of this, and honestly it was almost awesome. Unfortunately the middle of the fish was soft and mushy when it came out. Felt like the quality might ave been off or the cooking was wrong. The crust of the fish was crispy, as well as the sweet potato. And the outsides of the fish was cooked nicely, it was the center that put me off eating the rest of this. Citrus beurre blanc needed a bit more citrus but was good. My friend got the burger, she said it was okay, nothing amazing but we loved the crispy fries and the aioli it came with.

We were visiting from Miami just for the weekend and was looking for bars around the area that we could see the water and boats. So we stumbled upon this hidden gem! We sat at the bar and ordered some drinks and some Blue Point oysters. Everything was delicious! Our bartender was attentive to us and always asked if we needed anything else. It was a Sunday so football was all over the TVs on the walls and everyone around were just enjoying the beautiful weather, good games and company. The food that other people ordered looked phenomenal, and I'll definitely come back and try some dishes (especially those lamb lollipops!)

Bella was a wonderful waitress and got everything right!! The macadamia and coconut grouper sandwich was AMAZING and would 10/10 recommend to everyone! We will definitely be back! The view was great and so was the service!

I was here with my family on February the 17th to celebrate my first cousin's 21st birthday. We felt unwelcome as we sat there for dinner the lady that was our serve (older lady) r was very un attentive she never brought silverware we had to wait 15-20 before she would bring the drinks or take our orders and every time she would appear and I would ask her for anything such as removing the used plates from The appetizers she would mentioned that they were very busy but was easily to serve others in a timely matter except for our table. Food was 6/10 if I had to rate the sandwich.

Mother's Day Brunch was epic and memorable. The entire staff was attentive from securing reservations to the complimentary valet. Brunch set up was easy access, selection was plentiful and service was awesome! Highly recommend brunch!

We went here for Mother's Day brunch, and the food variety was good, but the execution was somewhat meh. I do like this restaurant on any other given day and the view is always amazing.

Walked out. We waited and waited and waited. No waiters. Or waitresses. No acknowledgment. Looked dirty. Kids running loose. Terrible. Don't come here.

I'm sitting outside at the tiki bar on a holiday weekend. They're completely full and I'm sitting at the tiki bar and the service here is terrific, and the food was excellent.

Don't know why I only seem to post 5 Star reviews but I guess our friends have great taste. Frigates super easy to get to and tons of parking. Valet parking service excellent. Sat outside and the atmosphere is quite pleasant. First thing you notice is front and back cover of menu is all adult beverages. Understand big/fun evening crowd. I bet! Our server, who claimed to be quite new, was lovely and very professional. She brought us the wing appetizer as good as any with 2 nice sauces. I love a wedge salad and Frigates was my BEST ever. Had it with blackened shimp and there were plenty. Blue cheese dressing great. But the slightly carmelized onions with their own separate dressing made the dish completely over the top. Better half had Shrimp Panini with lots of delicious shrimp. But the fresh cut/fresh cooked sweet potato fries alone are worth going back for. Our friends dishes were equally excellent. We did lunch and found, especially by today's standards, the prices were very reasonable, especially for both the quality and quantity of food. We will eagerly await an early return.
