Where to Pick Up Picnic Food For Chicago’s Parks - Eater Chicago

"Belgian-style pomme frites with a twist is the focus at this restaurant near Washington Park. Instead of being a side dish, the fries are topped with hearty proteins and serve as full, shareable meals. Toppings include smoked chicken wings, Italian beef, lobster, jerk salmon, and roasted veggies. Save time by ordering carryout here." - Jeffy Mai

Ina Mae in Wicker Park wows a critic for its New Orleans-inspired food - Eater Chicago

"Nobody is "making pomme frites quite like Friistyle" in Bronzeville, writes Claire Voon. The fast-casual joint serves up "crispy potatoes covered with decadent options, like chicken wings, roast lamb, jerk salmon filets, and Italian beef." They’re seasoned with special sauces to "pack in extra flavors — enough to keep things interesting without going overboard." Combinations include smoked-wing frites coated with boughetto, "a twist on mild [barbecue] sauce," as well as jerk-salmon frites served with a mango salsa to "introduce a hint of sweetness." - Jeffy Mai

This place was great. I really love the combination of flavors they used in each meal. I tried the lobster, it wasn't as buttery as I hoped but was good. I tried the salmon and I really liked the sauce they used. I also tried the Caribbean shrimp which was delicious as well. They also sell these wonderful lemonades that are so refreshing. The only con is there is not a lot of sit down space and they play unedited versions of songs so it's not family friendly.

Delicious! I ordered the Lamb fries. Ummm...umm...ummmm! I love lamb and hand cut fries so I was delighted when my order arrived with a bit of tziki sauce and a few greens topping the lamb nestled on a bed of hand cut fries. The staff was friendly and will help you with your choice from a modest but tasty menu. The lamb was $15 their most pricey item but, worth it. You get a very nice sized portion. All kinds of folks come to this south side jewel near the green line. I will be back with friends to taste their other varieties of fries. Highly recommended.

Definitely got my money's worth. They DID NOT cheap out when it came to the amount of meat I was served. Overall the portions are huge and the food is flavorful. It wasn't anything outstanding but will definitely consider stopping by again.

I’ve been to this place twice in the last two weeks. I might go there again this weekend. I usually don’t frequent the same establishment so often but let me tell you, this food is amazing! As you can see from the pictures, I’ve tried several different dishes. I loved the spice that you get from the Lobster Frite, how you can taste some Coconut on the Caribbean Shrimp Frite, and the sauce on the Wings Frite gets you going. If you haven’t tried this place and live in Bronzeville, do yourself a favor and stop by! See you guys soon!

These fries are so good! I was sad when they closed down and elated when they reopened. The toppings are delicious and the fries themselves taste good. I got the Chicken Alfredo Frite. My husband and son both got the Wings and Frite. Will definitely return.

We had the lobster and Italian beef fries & we will be back! The taste of the food with the portion alone makes me wish I could give them more stars! Their customer service makes you feel welcomed! Try it, you will not be disappointed!

I tried this place for the first time after it was recommended to me. No dine in at this time. Very short wait, ok prices, overall I would visit again.
