Yesterday, we checked out the Frijoles and Fresca spot on Charleston. We'd given another location a shot a couple of years ago, but it didn't wow us. This time, though, it hit the spot perfectly. The lady at the counter was super nice. The dining area was clean and roomy, which we liked. We went for a shrimp quesadilla, asking for it crispy, and they nailed it. The sauces on the table were tasty, too. We also grabbed some street corn, and even though it was out of season, it was surprisingly good. My wife went for three tacos: Al pastor, carnitas, and shrimp. The Al pastor was the winner by a long shot. She also got chips and beans, which she dug, and an Horchata that she couldn't get enough of. No doubt about it, we'll be back for more of those quesadillas and Al pastor goodness.

Google
25 .00 dollars for a chicken salad and 2 tacos The dress was two small scoops of salsa dress for a big salad. asked for one more and the lady’s tell me we can only give you 2 small ones you have to pay for extra. the salad very little chicken it’s like they are continuing the food, 4 years of eating at this restaurant and paying good money and to get cheap on the salads dressing . it’s time to move on and find a better places,

Google
Food was great, had street style tacos and they were amazing.

Google
I order the #2 mini combo. Wait time was good. From the Bay so still getting used to the veggies being in the rice but it’s good ! Green sauce isn’t too hot and they offered to open my Jarritos bc I ordered to go. Staff is super friendly and the place give authentic vibes. Seems like they know their regulars too! Overall very pleased and will be back.

Google
one of the only places that serves vegan beans. Most places put lard in their beans, so it's greatly appreciated!!!! and not to mention their vegetarian burrito is super yummy, as are their tacos, especially shrimp! I will definitely be returning

Google
We have seen this place multiple times and never stopped in and decided to try it today. It's nice inside for what is basically a taco shop. We decided to share the Asada nachos and they were very good. While they weren't necessarily much tastier than most places, I didn't take one bite that had that chewy, fatty piece that you find in a lot of places. That in itself was a big deal. We also had mini pastor tacos and those were delicious. The flavor was really good and the cut was good as well. It was a good lunch and we'll definitely be going back again.

Google
Man I regret eating here. $51 for portions that were not even worth it. The burritos were so soggy I had to eat it with a fork, I also fed my son his with a fork because he couldn't pick it up without it falling apart. The nachos were ridiculously small. Ok, if the food tasted better then they could kind of sort of justify how bad it was. There were stacks of baskets of chips which I thought we would get one of but were each had 4 chips on the side of our burritos. Yes 4 chips. As though they were a garnish. We used to go here regularly about 4 years ago and they have gone down hill since. Oh, did I mention NONE of our food was hot?

Yelp
A client suggested we meet at this store near his office. There's a large private lot and plenty of seating. I'm so down with Mexican food, so I've had some of the best of everything. I ordered a Carne Asada Salad. Delicious AF! The right amount of romaine, frijoles, tomatoes, avocado, and plenty of seasoned steak. The guacamole dressing just was fabulous! I could eat this every day, but I will settle for once a week! PS - the staff are absolutely accommodating and kind!

Ana H.

Yelp
I ordered taquitos, a steak taco and mini tacos. No flavor on the meat which is unfortunate, I remember this place having good flavor . First time ordering in a few months. Maybe staff changed? The taquitos are supposed to be topped off with guac, sour cream and I got naked taquitos- super dry. Almost $30 for bland food. Never coming back.

Roberson C.

Yelp
FIRST time there on Tuesday June 18th, 2024....I was not expecting Great food, but I loved the burritos, and the tacos......WOW. Just Two suggestions: it would be AWESOME, if you guys had outside sitting, you know, right next to the door, maybe 3 or 4 tablets. You see, I had my dog, so we ALL ate in the car. There's plenty of room by the windows outside for outdoor sitting. I just saw also that this place has a ton of restaurants in the Las Vegas

Michelle F.

Yelp
They don't do taco salads here-sad story. But their nachos are delish and the perfect serving size. I literally demolished my plate of carne asada nachos. They have pico, chips and you guessed it frijoles a la carte should you want that with your meal. They offer red (spicy) and green (mild) salsa at each table should you feel so inclined. Also tried a LARGE mango aguas Fresca which was massive and flavorful. It wasn't too sweet and definitely quenched my craving. Plenty of parking available in the private lot. Located across the street from Hush Puppies restaurant and in the same shopping center as Kelly's 24 hour gaming. Service is fast friendly and welcoming. Ambiance is trendy and laid back. Definitely a family friendly place to dine.

Mayra C.

Yelp
This place is fire!!! Very authentic. I love the asada tacos and the fresh aguas and the burritos.

Heather S.

Yelp
My husband and I drive 45 minutes to eat here!!! It's a franchise but the other locations don't compare to the Charleston location! We've visited 3 and they're never as good. We always get the fresca mixed with watermelon and spinach (which tastes like fresh watermelon juice only it has the nutrition of spinach without any green/grassy flavor). We always get chicken quesadillas and the other locations have sad thin quesadillas and sterile interiors, but this location tastes like they measure from the heart. It feels like visiting your best friend's house and it's a meal your mother would make you with overfilled meat and goodness falling out as you eat it so afterwards you can use your crispy tortilla edges to scoop up a second taste of the perfect balance of flavors. It's so filling that I have a hard time finishing a second one and my husband (who's a bodybuilder and eats a lot) is stuffed with 2 chicken quesadillas. Service is always excellent and quick, ambiance is homey and nostalgic, and the value is spectacular. Bathrooms are always clean. It's never too busy which is great for dining in and all the employees eat there so you know it's good! If I had a last meal, I would choose the watermelon-spinach Agua Fresca and chicken quesadilla with green sauce

Clint W.

Yelp
Visited this location for dinner and was quite surprised! Food was not pricy and great! Service was good, place was clean and a great atmosphere. It seems hard to find a good Mexican place sometimes but I definitely found one on this trip!

Amber N.

Yelp
I love it here!! My go-to is the carne asada tacos with their green sauce & has me in a choke hold!!! I eat here at least once a week. Food is great! Customer service is great!

Jazzlyn P.

Yelp
Food was 5/10 for the mini taco. Very bland Carne asada fries 5/10 no seasoning. Menu diversity 6/10. They did not have battered fish just fish ceviche. Cleanliness 8.5/10 Customer service 10/10 Lots of parking, they have tvs here. I had really high expectations for this place but I was not fond of the taste.

Slade J.

Yelp
Not even close to being worth the trip. The food is edible, but not exactly. We ordered a variety of foos, starting with a shrimp ceviche tostada, after asking if it was cocido (cooked) o crudo (raw). We asked in Spanish, and the server said crudo. When it came out, it was definitely cooked (we know the difference). We sent it back because my wife is allergic to cooked shrimp. We could hear the ladies arguing that it was raw, cooked in lemon juice, and another saying no. We also had a carne asada quesadilla. The meat was adequate, but not great. Some parts were very chewy. Finally, we had carne asada fries. Ugh! By now, I was tired of the disappointment, but I was still hungry. The crinkly fries were overcooked, not crispy, brown, and black. It feels as if the fries had been cooked at the start of the day and left out waiting for some poor person to order them. The meat was sparse and made us feel like they just didn't want to try anymore since we sent the food back. And whoever puts beans on carne asada fries. Not to mention, is guacamole supposed to be brownish grey? It looks like they scraped the top layer of guacamole and the edges of the bowl to give us the day-old stuff. It's not a place to ever go back to.

Marlynne P.

Yelp
Not worth the price. Their social media overhypes the quality and quantity This taco alone was about $5 with tax included not mentioning tip And it was a mini taco not even the regular size

Wendy W.

Yelp
This isn't a fancy Mexican restaurant. The food is excellent You get your order quickly it is homemade and delicious I have eaten in the restaurant and also taken it out. I usually get the burrito, but I have also had the French fries nachos Both are yummy !

Christian B.

Yelp
Overpriced food and portions are small! This place used to serve good food and decent portions. Now it's just overpriced small portions!

Jaime B.

Yelp
Not good, the quesadilla al pastor doesn't taste al pastor, my big taco al pastor was like melted meat very old and the guacamole super bland and watery, my favorite location of frijoles and frescas is the one in rainbow and Tropicana, there the food is really fresh and well made!!!

Claudia S.

Yelp
Stopped by for food to go 1. great customer service 2. clean locale 3. food was very very good ( burrito, shrimp tostada , elote, asada tacos) 4. food was seasoned just right, not sure what the complaints are about food not being salty enough. I much rather add salt or salsa to my food if its not seasoned enough then to eat some food that is way too salty 5. will come back

Spencer A.

Yelp
Quite possibly the best tacos I've ever had. These tacos were so good that I ate so many I reached a level of taco-lirious and should not have been permitted to operate a vehicle. They should really have a warning, eat at your own risk known to cause extreme happiness and weight gain 100% of the time. I'll be back tomorrow.

Judy R.

Yelp
Delicious, fresh tacos off the strip. Unique way they prepare their tacos that you'll want to try. Good, flavor rice and beans for me is a must in my book. Frijoles is in their name for a reason! They make food to order so keep this in mind when you go here, it's not fast food under heat lamps or microwave. Learned of them on social media as a place to visit in town, glad we did!

Roe L.

Yelp
They use to have great carne asada. In the last 2 years, the food quality has gone down. I would rather charge more, than sacrifice the quality of the product. I ordered 1 taco, 3 months ago. Took 1 bite and threw Away. Such a shame

Stephanie B.

Yelp
This was my second time visiting. Last time I visited was about 5 years ago. I remember why I haven't been back in so long. The place is in a converted old school Pizza Hut location and it's very clean and well kept. The staff behind the counter was attentive and friendly. My group of 4 ordered and the food was brought out quickly and was hot. This is where it goes downhill.. the food is ...meh. The carne asada burrito was $12 and it was small ( see photo) and all the meat was cut so small it was more like shredded beef and nothing like carne asada should be. The filling: quacamole and pico de gallo was severely lacking. There was no flavor very bland. The tacos suffer the same way where there was barely any filling and the flavor was again bland. The only bright spot food wise were the aqua Frescas: mango, strawberry and a horchata, we had which were delicious. You could tell it was real juice and fruit. 10 stars for the aguas! I'm not sure I would go back. Pretty pricey for what you get.

Terrie Q.

Yelp
Good is absolutely delicious. Service is quick and friendly. The ambiance is airy and clean!

Carol B.

Yelp
It's just okay. I find their beef to often be too tough so stick to meatless if I go there which is rare. Okay in a pinch I guess.

Maria L.

Yelp
This is a solid taco joint that we've been coming to for years. It's casual, with plenty of seating and quick service. The tacos are our favorite, with the carnitas and carne asada being the usual go to's. They have very generous portions loaded with meat, guacamole, beans, pico and sour cream. Their quesadillas are wonderful too. The shrimp quesadilla has delicious fajita veggies inside and is very flavorful. Our latest discovery was that you could mix the Agua frescas. Strawberry and horchata is a delightful combination that you should try!

Debbie G.

Yelp
Every time I am in Vegas, frijoles is a MUST! Their food is so dang tasty that I typically order 3 items from their menu just for ME! Lol

Bethany L.

Yelp
Look, this place was super FRESH--quality ingredients, but I had to salt everything..... The burrito, the shrimp cocktail, the tacos. Everything needed that little bit of salt to bring out the BING BANG BOOM of the flavors. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I was just surprised. I was lead to this place because of a local foodies TikTok post and I'm glad we went. The tacos were super tasty, the quesadilla was perfectly cheesy, and that shrimp cocktail was chilled to perfection. My biggest gripe was that my al pastor burrito felt like it had too many beans and not enough meat, but otherwise my fella really liked it. Give this place a go, I'll certainly b

Samantha A.

Yelp
Food is always fresh and tasty. IStaff is very friendly. Dodd still got when we get home. Satisfied so many cravings

Tiffanie E.

Yelp
Not bad, not great. Skimpy on burrito ingredients. No real discerning flavors or anything that stands out as memorable. Corn was small compared to other elote we've tried. Churro was basic, but a nice treat. Easy pick up. No salsa or pico, but we used the green sauce we had at home to help add sauce. There are a lot of choices for pick up during this shut down so we probably will wait to retry. They might have been having an off day with limited staff (hence 3 stars instead of 2)

Antonia M.

Yelp
I use to eat here every week and I thought they were 5 stars all around. I love the al pastor tacos, chips and salsa, and their agua frescas. I've notice they aren't consistent with their quality and service at the Charleston location. Although I am a frequent customer, I've had too many situations where I've hated my food because it's way too greasy, salsa has gone bad, or they forget to provide me what I've asked for. On several occasions I've spoken to an employee who sounds moody or rude (she's made me feel like a jerk for ordering takeout on the phone most times) I've limited my return because of these interactions. I miss the time when they use to always give great service with a pleasant attitude and consistently well prepared food.

Madison M.

Yelp
I ordered 4 junior carne asada burritos, a bean and cheese burrito and chips and beans. The junior burrito says it comes with meat cheese beans avocado sour cream and pico de gallo... No not mine. However I added in the notes 2 burritos add lettuce 2 burritos no pico de gallo I didn't know this would screw up my whole $50 order! I opened my burritos (because even tho they're junior sized the seemed unusually small.) and what do I see ..... 2 literally just had carne asada ..... nothing else !!! And 2 had carne asada and lettuce. Nothing else! I was so livid ... I didn't want to drive all the way back I was too upset at the fact that this meal cost me $50! I think I'm going to give this place a break for awhile :( Ps I was going to take pictures of my order but I started to heat up my OWN pinto beans out of a can, that now I realized I should have done in the first place. Just gotta stop being lazy and ordering out :(

Vienna Q.

Yelp
These guys are so horrible they never answer there phone, there street corn is good but I tried 4 different sites to order from and none of them let me pick the bean and cheese burrito. I was trying to order pick up and if the sites don't work for that simple burrito I was trying to call which I could not do. Just alittle annoyed cus they hung up on me 3x

Randolo Q.

Yelp
Awful food & service, I can still taste the cheap sour cream. I'd rather have a plate of food from nasty shopping cart and it'll be made with more love than this expensive ahhhh place

Sandy S.

Yelp
I don't have a photo because I was in a rush but I thought this place needs a review . 15 min before my doctor appointment I got hungry and headed across the street for some food . I got there was instantly hyped by the salsa music playing on the radio . The staff said "hi welcome " as I entered . Place looked like it had a decent crowd as I walked in at 12:30 pm lunch time . Cashier took my order went for something simple carne asada burrito with everything(beans ,cheese ,guacamole, beans ) side of salsa and a Large cucumber drink called aguas frescas yes they have different flavors and for those that think these are healthy they are not sorry to disappoint the drink itself was delish but the calories and sugar ooooh. Fast workers as soon as another person came in there was another employee at register taking the order . I had just sat down and my order was ready to go with salsa and utensils inside my little bag . Cost was like $15 plus tip so not too bad . That simple burrito hit the spot meat was tender and in small pieces so made burrito easy to digest .

Wayne P.

Yelp
Easy and plenty of parking. You order and pay up front and they bring the food to your table. I got 2 of the tacos, which are like loaded tacos compared to the mini tacos, which are the typical street tacos. The tacos are loaded with choice of meat, avocado, and pico de gallo. I got the carne asada and carnitas. The meats were both good. Tender and well seasoned. The avocado and pico de gallo together in one taco gives a variety of flavor per bite. Also shared a plate of nachos between 3 people. Overall, the food tastes good but it is pricey. The tacos are about $5 each and they're not that much bigger. Think it's more worth to get the mini tacos.

Renee B.

Yelp
The food was delicious! We had their carne asade burritos and Unfortunately we ate too quickly before taking pictures!

Corinne H.

Yelp
Food is great!! Not far from my job so be we tend to get Frijoles every week. The fries are my go to lately!

Cell U.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with my family. The food and drinks were great. The vibe of the restaurant is dope and our waiter had great customer service. Definitely recommend!

Chloe Joie R.

Yelp
I LOVED this spot, but recently they have not been doing me good! The most recent times I've ordered from them, they would not put items in my takeout order, they would insist I only needed the small amount of salsa they packed for me, and once they over charged my card... I have not been happy with my past couple orders with them... The most recent one today was just disappointing. I ordered a burrito, four mini tacos, a quesadilla, and nachos. They only gave me TWO salsas for this order! I love their salsa so when I picked up I asked for more and she said "oh you have plenty" so I took her word only to open my food and find only two. It seemed like they made our nachos first because they were extremely soggy. I had to use my own tortilla chips! My two fish tacos were made messily like no effort was put into making them. I can't believe how poorly they have been making their orders recently. They need to up their game back to what it used to be!!

Catherine R.

Yelp
Had lunch here today, I had the fish ceviche tostada and carnitas mini taco. Both so good!!!! My husband got the queso quesadilla and asada salad which was also so tasty! Usually there's always a lot of grease in the carnitas but somehow this restaurant made it so good without the grease! How??? It's so good!!!! Definitely coming back!

Jay A.

Yelp
There is only one thing missing from this place; flavor. My burrito was so bland, I could not put enough salt on it to jack it up. Normally I give a place a second chance, but the service was so unfriendly that I'll pass, and you should too. There are plenty other great Mexican places in Las Vegas. Live It Up You Are In Las Vegas For Cryin' Out Loud!

Kris K.

Yelp
Not sure what took me so long to write this review. I usually get a carne asada burrito combo with beans & rice. The carne asada is very flavorful & good quality meet. The rice & beans taste very authentic to me. I tried the carne asada fries the other day & it was the perfect amount of fries & meat. The fries were cooked to a perfect crisp. I definitely recommend both menu items.

Sara W.

Yelp
Rolled up for a quick take out of tacos. It was a nice experience. Casual quick-bite but it is cooked to order, so it does take a bit longer than a grab and go. It was really good. Looking forward to going back to eat inside and enjoy other options.

Jason L.

Yelp
Hands the most fire quick Mexican food in town. Forget Roberto's, forget Pepe's," this place is all you need. Authentic food that tastes AMAZING. Customer for life

Sasha A.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem in Las Vegas! I recently moved offices from Henderson, to Charleston and Rainbow. I passed this restaurant every day, and always noticed this restaurant, on my way to lunch. About 3 weeks ago, we ordered lunch from Frijoles and Frescas. I was amazed by the taste of the Steak Burrito! I was instantly hooked! Last week, I met my wife there for lunch. She also was instantly hooked. Today, I met a friend there, and he was very pleased. I've eaten a lot of Mexican food in my 42 Years on this planet. This is the best I've ever had! It's my new favorite Mexican Restaurant in Las Vegas. They have 2 locations. Both are a short ride from the Vegas Strip. Spend a few bucks on an Uber or Lyft, you'll save at least $8.00 per person. I'm going back in a few days! I highly recommend Frijoles and Frescas to not only locals, but tourists too!

Rick Sr. T.

Yelp
Best Mexican food along this portion of Charleston Tacos are delicious My favorite is the Shrimp Plate Friendly staff Great spot to bring the family.

Laura S.

Yelp
I found it offensively overpriced on Agua's Frescas and I didn't find the food to have flavor in my personal opinion.

Jessica T.

Yelp
We finally had to check this place out and we were NOT disappointed! Everyone got street tacos and we shared some Carne Asada nachos; all flavors were firing on all cylinders! We also ordered agua fresca's which were so delicious and refreshing! I had the Watermelon and Jake got Cucumber, but we ended up mixing them together in the end ;)

Jessica G.

Yelp
Parking was easy, no wait! I ordered a carne asada burrito. Super good!! A bit disappointed that salsa and chips are extra and not included in your meal. You order at the front, they give you a number and you seat yourself. Hope to come back soon!!

Dani N.

Yelp
DO NOT COME HERE!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!! RIP OFF AND NASTY FOOD!!!! There's way better taco spots literally anywhere else. I would've much rather had Roberto's and that's last resort for food. Went in there ordered 90 DOLLARS worth of food and they messed up my whole order. They charged me for tacos I did not receive and on top of that had the audacity to charge me 2 dollars a topping for MINI tacos. I spent 20 dollars just on toppings for 4 mini tacos. Two of which I did not even get. Also got chips and guacamole with a bag that had about 5 chips inside and as much guacamole you can fit inside a shot glass. Rip off if you ask me. Then when we called to let them know they messed up our order, items were missing and their food tasted like trash, they told us to come back the next day. We proceeded to come back the next day and the manager told us they can't give us the money back because it's the next day and we have to give the food back. Disgusting place to eat and sorry excuses for workers. They are rude and lazy and make nasty, sloppy tacos. Maybe consider getting more competent workers or new food. Or maybe both.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
The food I got was very good but I was a bit shocked that the agua fresca was $6 for a large and yet I had to pay another $2 for a refill

April S.

Yelp
No stars worthy No masks worn in restaurant in food service during pandemic seems unwise Super de duper rude service They Forgot our order of carne asada fries We ordered like 10 things And they insisted we go back-and-forth over and over to show them we were missing an order. 10 minutes later they come over and say oh here's your fries with no apology Food was also not very good We will gladly spend our money anywhere else but here in the future Get it togethaaaaaaa
