The 16 Best Cafes in Paris | Eater

"This Scandi-style spot merges caffeine with art, putting on revolving photography exhibitions alongside single-origin espressos. The bar also offers a variety of solid teas. Located in the 3rd arrondissement. Rooksana Hossenally" - Rooksana Hossenally

The 21 Best Cafés in Paris

"It's impossible to miss the light fixtures fashioned like clouds above blonde wood tables. Or the walls, dressed up with thought-provoking works by rotating artists and photographers. This relaxing environment trumps most Parisian coffee shops and the locals, frequently found reading or writing, know it. The owner is an expert in specialty coffee—he photographed an entire book on the third wave coffee movement in Paris. Not to mention the staff is largely Scandinavian; they take orders promptly and hustle to serve everyone quickly." - Lindsey Tramuta

Fringe — Café Review | Condé Nast Traveler

"Okay, you’ve just walked in. First impressions? It's impossible to miss the light fixtures fashioned like clouds above blonde wood tables. Or the walls, dressed up with thought-provoking works by rotating artists and photographers. This relaxing environment trumps most Parisian coffee shops and the locals, frequently found reading or writing, know it. Who else was there? The café attracts a mix of foreigners strolling the neighborhood (North Marais) and locals who come for the calm, meditative atmosphere. The raison d’être : the coffee. How was it? The owner is an expert in specialty coffee—he photographed an entire book on the third wave coffee movement in Paris. Was there food, too, and if so, worth getting? Snacks lean sweet and are (mostly) Scandinavian-inspired. Expect cookies, cinnamon rolls, granola, and croissants from the nearby bakery Petite Ile.  How about the staff: what did you think? The staff members are largely Scandinavian; they take orders promptly and hustle to serve everyone quickly. Who should go here? Catch up with friends, sit down alone with a book, or pass through for a coffee to-go." - Lindsey Tramuta

Is it the best coffee in town as the sign proposes? It’s damn near close! Love having a side of cool photography, great magazines to flip through and a cardamom roll! It has a cool vibe with cool people…a great break for people watching! Wait…that’s all of Paris! 😝

We had the great luck to find fringe during our first morning visiting Paris. How fortunate to find the best coffee available right away, so we didn't waste our time elsewhere! Fringe coffee (and their outstanding cardamom buns) was our morning ritual. The kind and knowledgeable staff were patient with our haltering French, and the coffee was world-class. This is seriously the best coffee you will find in Marais, no question. The photography is beautiful; the location is welcoming and private all at once. Vielen dank für die espresso-empfehlung!

Great coffee and very warm staff members. Enjoyed each sip of my oat flat white. Would prefer having coffee here again when back to Paris. Additionally, this coffee shop is pet friendly.

They serve great iced latte! I rarely had lattes with balanced coffee flavor but fringe did a great job! The shop is crowded with people, no AC during hot days, but I believe they serve other great drinks. Will come back again.

Google
Nice coffee shop near République. The prices were very fair given the quality of the product, and the location. I loved how they had the front of the cafe open to let in the fresh air, it was a very nice ambiance. I had a double espresso and personally didn’t love the coffee (was more on the acidic side) but it was definitely good quality. The servers were quick and friendly :)

Yelp
I've been excited to come back to Paris to try this coffee shop.c the ambiance is grata, no computers allowed so it's just conversations and coffee and some foods etc. I love this as it's naked a difference to the experience. I stayed for about 45 minutes and really enjoyed my order. Staff are ever so friendly and I didn't feel bad about not speaking French as everyone speaks English which was nice. I would highly recommend this place if you have time in Paris.

Yelp
This place is a gem. The vibe is so perfect. The staff so friendly. Music is relaxing. Decor modern. Reminding me of coffee spots in Vancouver Canada I'm so sad that I found it on my last day here. The coffee/lattes/ tea is the best I have had in Paris. Thank you guys for being so welcoming. I won't forget you.

Yelp
Was wondering around the area and saw this place. It was very inviting and we were in need of a break. The lady who helped us was very friendly in assisting with our drink orders. The place is small but cozy. We stayed for 45 minutes (until they closed). Wifi with password and bathroom downstairs.

Yelp
Come here if you're passionate about coffee and want to speak English. The size and vibe of this space reminded me nicely of The Curb in Honolulu. The filters are great. We enjoyed the avocado toast.

Yelp
Cappuccino is really good, not something I normally order but in Europe that's all I would drink. The tartines with salmon and the other with avocado and beets was delicious. Cute, small inside but I love how they put a bar area in the window so you can sit and look out. Friendly service too.

Yelp
Great option for those in the area. Outstanding coffee, the owner is passionate about the sourcing and preparation of the coffee and it shows. We went here twice during our stay in Paris. Service was very hospitable (and fluent in English if that matters to you). Food was fresh and flavorful. Would not hesitate to go there again and I highly recommend.

Yelp
Fresh and healthy eating - salads, tartines, juices, desserts made in house. Artisan coffee to wash it all down. Staff is friendly, and there's wifi! What else could you ask for?

Yelp
Charming spot and very good coffee in the heart of Paris. I didn't order any food but the smell coming from their little kitchen spot is very tempting. I didn't put 5 stars only because coming from Montréal, 5€ for a latte still seems very expensive no matter how good it is.

Yelp
My favorite coffee shop in Paris. I go every weekend and get some iced coffee plus beans to go. They are very serious about their coffee and food and it shows in the quality. The owner is incredibly welcoming and speaks fluent French and English. I'm addicted.
