A burger and fries from Frisko Freeze is a Tacoma rite of passage - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"There’s something instantly familiar about the Frisko Freeze sign, with a big lit-up arrow as a universal indication of “good burgers here.” You'll find no trendy smashburgers on the flat top at this drive-in—justclassic pattieswith plump edges that cling to melty American cheese, tucked into shiny golden buns with tops puffed like a game of whack-a-mole. This Tacoma institution is perfect for quick lunches, late-night burger runs, or those moments when only a thick milkshake will do. And if you ask anyone from Tacoma, they’ll tell you Frisko Freeze has been holding down all three for what feels like forever." - Kayla Sager-Riley

Google
Service was good, food served hot and cold (ice cream) and fast, and prices on lower side. The burgers were pretty good, the sundae and malt shakes were good. Overall not extraordinary but definitely recommended.

Google
Honestly couldn't even tell you the review on the food at this point. Because I'm so upset with the fact that we parked went inside to the building across the street came out. Ordered food and realized that my car was getting picked up by a tow truck. When I spoke to the person inside about it, she smocked at me, laughed at my daughter's face and then proceeded to say, yeah, we don't allow people to park from the hospital. Mind you. The hospital is for an orthopedic surgeon. For children, so this place is boycotted 100%. If you're going to do that to mom's or family members that are taking care of their children up in an orthopedic surgeon, and you're gonna treat them. This way you will never see my service again. And I hope nobody else goes and helps them out. It's disgusting to treat people like this. And I was not I've been gone from my vehicle that long. And then turned around and gave money to this company that wanted to have my car towed. And to add to that, there was other vehicles that were still sitting there. When we left and came back, so they pinpointed the only vehicle with brand new plates on it. UpdateThe food was garbageThe burger buns were burnt on the bottom and the fries were way too salty. Again across the street from a child's hospital have some coup

Our family’s favorite drive-in fast food. Very fresh and tasty food. Ordered myself the cheese burger with onions wrapped in lettuce and fries on side.

Stopped in after arriving at SeaTac airport for a Pacific Northwest road trip with our family! So glad we did everything was so good we all got double cheeseburgers with various things and fries and onion rings. The service was great. Several employees help me order. I told them it was my first time. So nostalgic!!!

Google
Excellent drive up in Tacoma. Discovered this little gem while visiting the Lemay car museum. It was so good came back the next weekend. Great burgers, and fries. Fries are big and can easily serve two people. Outside is very clean and the staff friendly. Prices are very reasonable and great menu. Plus they have coke products so that's a win. 😁

Google
A good place to grab a bite. Burgers are good but small. My malt was not mixed well and had about a half inch of united malt at the bottom of the cup, plus they dip you on the cup size (16oz held no more than 14oz of water). Fresh were ok.

Google
I love this place! It's your go to burger and shake place. Burgers are fresh and fries are wonderfully good and tasty. Man that butterscotch milk shake man you better get you one!

Däsha M.

Google
As someone who grew up on In-N-Out and lived near a Five Guys, I have to say Frisko Freeze is amazing! The bun flavor and texture, the flavor and fixings on the cheeseburger, the crispy on the outside but soft on the inside french fries... Delicious!

Yelp
Last night after a movie, my family and I stopped by Frisko Freeze like we've done many times before. But what happened this time left me highly disappointed. As we pulled up, there was a homeless man lying near the road--not really visible, not bothering anyone, just... there. It was late. Maybe he was tired, maybe hungry. As we walked up to place our order, we saw a worker with a broom approach the man in the road. That worker comes back to the window says to another employee with a shorter black scraggly beard, he wants some food. But instead of compassion, the man with the beard, I'm pretty sure he was the cook says, "Well, he can come in and do some dishes" making a mockery amongst his coworkers.. :/ That comment hit me hard. It felt cold. Dehumanizing. Like this man's hunger wasn't worthy of kindness unless he earned it--right there, on the spot I understand there may be a lot of homeless encounters but that was disgusting behavior. I couldn't just stay silent. So I told them, "We'll, buy him a burger since y'all won't provide one." We bought him food ourselves, gave it to him, and he quietly left. I'm still thinking about it. After us two more people asked if the man was okay and staff blew it off I even overheard another girl say "Did he get hit yet is he dead" like what the heck.. About how easily we throw away food at the end of the night, but act like giving someone a warm meal is a burden like it comes out of their paychecks..About how some people have nothing and still get judged for asking. About how easy it would've been for someone behind that counter to show an ounce of compassion--but didn't! This isn't just about Frisko Freeze. It's about how we treat people when we think no one's paying attention. But I was. And now I'm asking--can't we do better? I forever lost my appetite for y'all.

Yelp
Well I didn't get food poisoning... Granted I do not frequent this place and I won't be a customer in the near future. This place is just awful. I have been here a handful of times and never have I been impressed. There is no real nostalgic vibe for me here. The "food" is incredibly expensive for what it is. For a family of five it ran about a hundred dollars. The burgers were WAY over cooked the shredded lettuce was slimy the burgers were all smashed into one bag and the bottom bun on all were burned. The cold, flavorless fries were in another bag. The onion rings were warmer and relatively good but not very generous. When I say relatively good, I mean in accordance with the rest of the "meal". There is no tables to sit at or set your food on. There are benches if you don't mind placing your food where other's asses have been. The employees seem nice and professional. However, as long as it took to receive our order, I doubt they are working with a sense of urgency. I was told this place is iconic, but I fail to see the reason why. There are SO many missed opportunities. For the price I could have had better quality food and a better dining experience with a table and plates where flies aren't constantly hovering around what even THEY think is garbage.

Yelp
Still great burgers after all these years. I stopped by late on a Friday night and had a double cheeseburger and a Diet Coke and ate in my car as I prepared for the hour long drive home. The burger was tasty and I liked the chopped onions contained within the wonderful greasy mess of a meal. The parking lot is reminiscent of Dick's Drive In around the Seattle area with lots of varieties of people waiting for food. There were some Prom kids all dressed up when I got there with some loud music in cars playing but all in all, a great local place to try.
google avatar

Christy B.

Yelp
Customer service was great, the burger I couldn't eat even half of. It was farrr too salty unfortunately. It was a clean environment which was very appealing. I would go back but ask for salt on the patty what so ever

Yelp
It's a 4.8 for me!! My friend (whose taste in food leaves a lot to be desired) said it was his favorite fish place. So we went- so good! Super crispy and fresh tasting fish. We went with 8 pieces of fish alone (for $3 per piece) and I got a root beer float. Would come again. Staff was nice! Ordering counter side has heaters but not the waiting side. Loved the vibe- cuter than Dick's
google avatar

Phillip K.

Yelp
What a stop! This is the cheeseburger I've been looking for. No thrills! We don't need ghost pepper bacon jam! Meat, cheese, lettuce, onion, special sauce, bun.
google avatar

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
The food was really good! I wish we ordered more haha the people were also really quick and I had no problems with the wait! It was really cool seeing the old pop-up diner location
google avatar

Robert B.

Yelp
This classic old-timey drive in is a real gem! You really need to check it out! THE ROSES: Wonderful classic drive-in menu, with some real surprises (fried baloney sandwich, anyone?). Wonderful retro ambiance. You expect to see Richie, Potsie, Ralph Malph and 'The Fonz' in line with you! Good prices and reasonable service. THE THORNS: No inside dining. Shakes and malts are a bit thick for my liking, but you may like them that way. THE VERDICT: In an era of mass-marketed chain mediocrity, Frisko Freeze is truly an original. FF is to Tacoma what Dick's is to Seattle. You need to check this place out. Heartily recommend!
google avatar

Kathryn G.

Yelp
Always a solid fast food meal. Get the grilled onions on your burger and don't miss the shakes. Order online for pick up to skip the wait.
google avatar

Ryan B.

Yelp
First time going here and food was solid. Had a cheeseburger and added bacon while replacing the raw onions with the grilled version. Fries were good and crispy. Tarter was good as well. Will be back next week time I'm in the area. Service was friendly as well.

Yelp
Stopped into Frisko after working up an appetite thrifting and going to the business Costco. The food was quick, delicious, and well worth the detour. We always forget about them when we are in Tacoma, but hopefully we won't now! No picture of the food, we were hungry and didn't get a chance to snap a photo, but I promise, it was tasty!
google avatar

Yelp
One word: DELICIOUS!! We've been at Mary Bridge hospital the past few days and really wanted a good meal, Frisko freeze helped with that. Located about 5 minutes walking distance we found this incredible burger spot. Hot fresh burgers and crispy delicious fries, top notch. Service was friendly and quick. The vibe is very much that of an old school burger joints. From smash burgers to fried bologna sandwiches, you truly can't go wrong. The food was incredible and just what we needed. Next time, probably today honestly, I'd like to try one of their shakes I've heard so much about. Frisko freeze is such a treat and one of my new favorite burger spots. No pictures cause I couldn't wait to eat my food.
google avatar

Yelp
This review solely addresses Frisko's malted shakes. After enjoying a wonderful birthday-celebration dinner, she-who-must be obeyed wanted to end our evening with a malted shake at Frisko Freeze. She ordered a chocolate malted shake and I requested a chocolate-banana malted shake. The shakes did not deliver desired deliciousness. They were too thick evidenced by the fact that we could finally pull the shake through straws once we drove from Frisko Freeze to Dash Point. The chocolate and banana content did not meet dastardly expectations albeit insufficient chocolate and banana flavor. There was however plenty unmixed malt powder. I know not if our shake chef did not follow recipe or recipe is parsimonious with chocolate syrup and banana flavoring. Either way, training or revised recipe would make this camper and his partner happy.

Yelp
Frisko Freeze has been around since the 50's. It's a classic burger joint I've been going to since I was a kid. My husband wasn't a fan but I convinced him to go last night for a late night meal and he was pleasantly surprised! It's everything you want in a drive in style meal. The burgers were perfectly greasy and yummy, fish was great and fries were good and crispy. Got the blackberry shake as well and it was good. Wish it was a little more tart but tasted as I expected it to so that's not so much a negative and a personal preference. They're under construction right now so they're temporarily working out a food truck. That being said, we had a few orders ahead of us so we had to wait but it wasn't overly long. The staff was good all though one person inside was overly loud about their personal issues using rough language in the back but they weren't right in the front so I just ignored it. Just a warning, if you haven't been to this spot in Tacoma before it definitely seems like a sketchy street at night with all the construction going on so just be aware of your surroundings.
google avatar

Judy S.

Yelp
Onion rings only redeeming part of our order. Burgers are overly sweet. Fries are severely overly salted. Was excited to try their chili, I know it's a burger place but it was still only barely half a cup. Service was quick. The more I come, the more the quality seems to go away unfortunately.

Yelp
I finally stopped by Frisko Freeze after driving past it nearly a hundred times and always noticing people lined up outside. I visited around 1 PM on a Saturday, and luckily, one parking space was open. There's additional parking around the restaurant as well. I ordered online to avoid waiting, which was super convenient. I got a double cheeseburger, fries, and a drink, and the total came to $16. They accidentally added bacon to my burger but double-checked with me when I picked it up to make sure it wasn't an issue--no complaints from me! Free bacon is always a win. The burger was solid, especially the toasted bun, though I wouldn't call it amazing. For the price and convenience, it was decent. The fries, however, were the real highlight. Super crispy on the outside, thick, and fluffy on the inside, and for $4, you get a generous portion. The fountain drink was okay, though it could have used a bit more syrup. Frisko Freeze is a drive-up-only spot, but they have benches outside if you want to sit and eat. Customer service was great--everyone was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Burger was overcooked, flavors were good. I heard this was up there with Dick's and Lil Woody's so I wanted to give it a try, though I don't agree.

Yelp
I heard this was the Dicks, the In N Out, the historic burger joint of Tacoma. Open till 11 pm, it was a perfect late night stop for us after an evening event in the museum district. The place is a small building with wraparound windows showing into the cooking area. There is an order window staffed by some teens. Cars can park all around, but there is not too much parking, maybe enough for 10-12? There is not really anywhere to sit either, and it's not like a drive-in like BurgerMaster, so we opted to just order and take the food home. We got the classic cheeseburger and fries. It took forever to get the food though. There weren't that many people in front of us but it took like 30 minutes before our food was ready. People had told us this place was real good and to get the fry sauce. When we asked the cashier about it, he didn't seem to know anything about it, and noted that a bunch of people always ask about it. I dunno, maybe it's a joke Tacoma people play on new people? When we got to enjoy the food, I think it tasted a tiny bit better than Dicks, but the burger was tiny! And almost not toppings. It did not look super pleasant, but was fine enough to try. I wouldn't mind giving it another try next time we're in the area and need something small and inexpensive, but this first experience was not what I expected after all the locals raved about it.

Yelp
Stopped by Frisco Freeze yesterday for the first time in a long time! I saw that they were closed for remodeling and finally opened back up, so decided to grab some food. I was so happy to see a veggie burger (Gardenburger) on the menu. Not vegan, but good for vegetarians.I felt like $5.40 was super reasonable. My partner had a cheeseburger. We were all very pleased with our food. We also got a strawberry lemonade Frisco slushie and swirl cone. We were kind of bummed because we didn't see sundaes on the menu anymore. Otherwise, everything was good and it was prepared quickly. I used online ordering through Toast.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! Their burgers and fries are chefs kiss! Personally, I love the way their fries are made and my husband likes their onion rings. It's decent portion sizes and freshly made all the time because they're just so dang busy. The workers are also very friendly and helpful. Plus they're open late which is a very big bonus for me!
google avatar

Dustin G.

Yelp
Food was average/slightly above average. The burger was alright (5/10), chicken strips were decent (7/10), and the fries were too salty. The grilled onions were chopped/minced, which made for a messy burger. There's no extra charge for the onions so I got what I paid for, I suppose. I'll stick with Burger Seoul if I want a messy burger.

Jerry L.

Yelp
The burgers were very salty like the lid came off the salt shaker. The presentation was poor but the fries and shakes were very good.
google avatar

Robert W.

Yelp
Slower service but everything is made to order. No place to eat so in your car or takeaway. I had a doubt cheese added bacon. I generally do not like relish but this almost had a bbq flavour. Was good. Fries fresh but nothing special maass product "food service" type. Chocolate malt that was delicious!

Quianna K.

Yelp
We normally love coming here, and while the food was good- we were greeted with a very rude encounter with the manger. I went to tell my partner to go tell them that there was no bacon on either cheeseburger ( which was paid for) to be told that there was 100% bacon on one of the burgers when I am sure there wasn't. The manager "Charlese" told the cashier that "some people are just you know.... Anyways" and rudely gave me a refund. While I love getting food here, I'm not in the business of giving people money for things I didn't receive. I wish this encounter was different as my partner and I spent money here at least 4 times a month
google avatar

Debbie M.

Yelp
Been coming here for 55yrs moved to idaho last yr . Went there today, it was a little disappointing. Not much sauce and the prices have skyrocketed a double cheese was 4. 65 after remodeling and new owner its$ 6.95

Yelp
we have always loved frisco freeze, not so much today. we've always gotten great service and quality food in the past. very disapointed tonight. we just got home with our food to find only 1 burger in the bag. we ordered 2 burgers the 1 buger we received was undercooked sloppy & soggy. we also ordered 4 tarter sauce for our fries and onion rings. we got 3 half full tarters & 1 ranch check your order before you leave, trust but verify. lesson learned. we will spend our money elsewhere if frisco freeze is not committed to hiring competent employees who can provide the same quality and accuracy as in the past. think twice before going here on a busy friday night & check your order for accuracy. (our fault for not checking before leaving). we left a tip when we prepaid & before we got our food because we trusted we would get the same accuracy and quality as we have in the past. never again will i leave a tip until after if at all! we tried to call so they could make it right, but it went straight to voice mail and the mailbox is full. do better please!
google avatar

Jason R.

Yelp
We loved Frisko Freeze but it's just not great anymore. The burgers taste off, maybe sweet even, and the buns feel cold. The vanilla malt we ordered tasted Ok but there were so many chunks of malt not blended well and just made for a bad time. The onion rings were under done as well. The 20 minute wait was normal but the quality does not make the wait worth it anymore.
google avatar

Maxwell M.

Yelp
Yum! I got a bacon cheeseburger, a root beer malt shake, and fries. Burger is really tasty-- I'd recommend a double if you're a big eater, the single patty was pretty small. Some of the best fast food fries. Super crispy and salty, not too greasy. The shake was tasty. Service was good! Friendly and polite! Love to come here when I visit Tacoma.
google avatar

Kens H.

Yelp
Cheeseburger. Love the toasted bun. Red relish is something that needs to be on every burger. Not sure what white sauce is but it's a member of the team. Chopped onion and lettuce as well....great cheese burger! It's small but always good. The girl at the counter was super nice.

Jack S.

Yelp
Common The new owners are the same as Engine House 9 and Asado. Would have thought that the plans were to return this icon to what it once (a very long time ago) was! The food is absolute overpriced crap, and the service is still the same incompetent, surely, unmanaged group of undisciplined children!!

Terry S.

Yelp
I've been eating here for 30 years. it was so disappointing. They just changed owners and remodeled their kitchen. Unfortunately their double cheese burger was way below their usual standards. The condiments mixture has changed and they put way too much on the burger. not enough onions. makes me sad.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
Serious old school warm fuzzy feelings. Soft Serve Ice-Cream, huge burgers, hot fries, friendly service; who cares if there is no seating: just stuff your face on the tailgate of your truck My kind of place.

Chris H.

Yelp
Well, it's been a while since I've been here, probably new owners, cause when I was here last I told myself never again. But this time I was there with family. And I told the guy twice only luttuce and tomato, and the smear the whole burger in sauce with onions, I told you ass twice, and you said sure. We'll fu*k this place. Even with new owners still fu*ked up. If I wasnt with family I wouldn't of gone here. You'll see me tomorrow for a replacement, then never again. Scr*w this place. For the high price and you can't get things right. That's crazy.

Yelp
Fish & Chips 4.5/5 overall. Crispness 5/5. Batter 4/5. Fish quality 4/5. Flavor 4/5. Fries 5/5. Size and value 5/5. Great classic burger joint, with great fish and chips as well.
google avatar

Alyssa W.

Yelp
Fam and I were in town visiting his family and we decided to eat here for dinner. We each ordered a double burger and fries and my son got a Rootbeer shake. The burgers. 9/10. They were juicy, greasy and messy but they had great flavor. I my reason I didn't give 10/10 is because they were all thrown together and two of the four burgers were just in their little sack and almost had to be eaten wjth a fork (remember I said messy and juicy) The fries were great. 10/10 crispy and well salted. The rootbeer shake tasted like a rootbeer float but better. They did good! 10/10 we will be back

Elizabeth F.

Yelp
Went to Frisko Freeze for my burger fix. When I pulled the burger out of the sandwich bag, all I got was the buns. The meat and fixings were still in the bag. Rather than putting the burger together again, I ate it all separate which was really disappointing. Fix was not satisfied. Service was on point as ordering online makes a huge difference. Ambiance is eating outside. That's why I didn't put burger back together. However, picnic tables would be nice.
google avatar

Sonja W.

Yelp
I reluctantly gave 1 star. The jumbo prawns have been taken off the menu. The beef burger meat was dry and over cooked. They don't use the same meat. The fries tasted like bagged frozen French fries. They are too thick. The onion rings are cooked too long to a dark color. I'm 71 years old and have been going to Frisko Freeze since I was a small child. The nostalgia is no longer there. RIP Frisco Freeze. The prices are too high.

Jace B.

Yelp
Could improve on the malts they taste like a Wendy's frosty recipe also are trying to Mimic sonics burgers#copycats
google avatar

Sara C.

Yelp
I absolutely love that everything here is made to order, so be patient. Drive up for the classic trio of burger, fries, and a shake (the flavor options are endless, and sometimes seasonal - so there's always something different, but your favorites will always be there). It's a fun spot! And sometimes you just need a moment to yourself, in the car alone, with a juicy cheeseburger, salty dunk-able fries, and the thickest of shakes - Frisko can make that happen.
google avatar

William H.

Yelp
Was out late and felt like some food. I was told about this place. It's a burger and fry spot as well as other things if you want something different. It's an old school drive in, walk up and order. There were a lot of people waiting outside and it looked like it took 15-20 minutes for people to get their orders. I bought a bacon double cheeseburger with fries and a strawberry shake. It's was pretty good. Fries were ok, strawberry shake was really sweet, and heard the fish sandwich was good. If you want a burger/fry go ahead and swing by
google avatar

Shawn B.

Yelp
Apparently they have new owners because after all these years their prices have skyrocketed to the point that I will NEVER go back! $6.50 for a double burger with no cheese and $4.40 for fries is a lot more than I've ever paid here. I also noticed on my visit June 16th of 2024 that not one of the old crew was there! Apparently they weren't willing work for minimum wage. They even changed their beef patties to the size of a McDonald's regular burger, those super thin patties. At these prices, people are going to find a different place to call their favorite when they quickly realize they food AND prices AND staff have all changed.
google avatar

Paulette T.

Yelp
Since the renovation the tastes of their burgers and fries are very different. It wasn't the same as usual. Burgers and fries were overly salted and I was very disappointed. Their milkshakes were still very delicious but as far as food, I don't think I will be ordering again.

Samuel D.

Yelp
This is the best burgers and shake! And the person at the window was amazing high fives to the whole team please! All this place is missing is a couple of tables to sit at but will definitely be back next time I'm in town!
google avatar

Angie T.

Yelp
The burgers were ok, but not very well seasoned. They would be better with more salt or other seasoning. Probably the flavor comes from the sauces, which I didn't have on my burgers. The fries though, are terrible. I think they are Aviko Supercrunch Fries Thick Cut from Sysco - I could be wrong. But they're bland, generic tasting fries that you can find at any place in the country. This place would be much better with freshly cut and fried potatos.

Yelp
Way back in the day, this was one of Tacoma's premier burger stands. They could compete with the likes of other locals like Frugal's, Burger Ranch and Jubilee. They possibly even rivaled the likes of Dick's Drive in from Seattle. They had an upper hand on their competition because they offered the fishwich and the shrimpwich. Conveniently located just a couple blocks from Tacoma General Hospital, they definitely had the medical community as clients and people came from all over for the nostalgia of a fresh burger from a locally owned walk-up burger stand. Over the years, Frisko Freeze had suffered from a lack of patronage from locals due to rising costs and a lack in the quality of products. Recently, Frisko Freeze went up for sale because for whatever reason, the owners had given up. Along comes a large conglomerate who owns multiple establishments across the country including some or your favorite local eateries. They buy up Frisko Freeze and immediately throw up a food truck in the parking lot originally labelled as Mike's burgers but soon afterward, you'd see a Frisko Freeze banner covering the Mike's logo. They conveniently served burgers and fries to customers while the original Frisko Freeze building was being restored to it's 1950's era look. On June 1st 2024, they had a grand re-opening and introduced the new Frisko Freeze as a throwback to the original yet there have been some very noticeable differences. The walk-in fridge has been moved outside of the building and there are brand new grills, deep fryers and shake machines inside. The space has been completely revamped and that isn't necessarily a bad thing. They have always had 2 walk up windows and a make-shift drive through yet only the drive through and window on the right hand side have been operational over the past years. Now it seems as if the window on the left is poised to be a working window to take orders yet it still remains closed and for good reason. When we placed our order at the right window, it still took nearly 40 minutes to receive our order. I honestly do not understand what takes so long to fry up one burger and drop a couple of orders of fries and an onion ring. If you plan on ordering food here, be prepared to spend some quality time waiting around for your food. FAST is not in thier repertoire. The fries are new and that is better than before but they still lack enough salt and the onion rings even though a large portion are still just your standard frozen rings from some local food service company like Cysco or Harbor. The burger did have some mayo with chopped lettuce and onion on the bottom and a smidge of ketchup and mustard on the top bun but over all, the burger was lacking in seasoning and very bland despite its toppings. They no longer offer the shrimpwich which in my opinion was the only reason to visit in the first place and if you want any kind of deal, the only combinations they offer are thier fish and chips or chicken strips with fries, otherwise you must order ala carte! We ordered a couple of shakes, and it seemed as if they were made before our food because by the time we received them, they were melted and warm. I honestly do not understand why it is so hard to push out orders for plain old burgers and fries but then again, I do not work there but the time that I had to wait for 1 burger, 2 fries, 1 onion rings and 2 shakes was more time than I'd like to wait for just a meal at a sit-down restaurant. I do not recommend wasting your time or money here at Frisko Freeze because the value is not there, the service is not there and the quality is not there. Keep looking and thanks for reading.

Yelp
Isn't the Frisko Freeze I grew up with, burnt hamburger, burnt cheese could not even taste the special sauce RUDE COOK

Yelp
one year after my last visit and review, i decided to give the new frisko another try. unfortunately, my assessment last year was correct. the bun is wrong, too large and it actually got soggy on the bottom piece, something i've never seen before. the meat is not great quality, and it isn't seasoned like it used to be (no johnny's?). the red relish is sickly sweet. oh, and the cheese wasn't even melted. the institutional knowledge of what made frisko great has died.

Yelp
If you're craving a juicy cheeseburger, fries, and a milkshake, then you have to stop at Frisko Feeze in Tacoma. This burger joint is a Tacoma historic landmark, serving up burgers since 1950. Drive thru or walk up to order, there is a certain grit city nostalgia that makes these burgers so good. Definitely worth ordering a chocolate shake to go with that burger!
