Definitely hidden away but has a great view! Glad we stopped at this place after seeing a sign off the side of the road and following a winding path down to see this gem. Very homey vibes with a great patio for outdoor seating that just has a fantastic view of the hill country. Decently priced drinks consisting of either gin or vodka. Seating is pretty limited inside, but the outdoor space is just amazing and honestly makes the experience really that much better. I'd highly recommend 'The Bullfrog' with vodka. Tasty drink, but not overpowering and has a nice kick (smooth vodka that doesn't burn like gasoline). P.S. They have some cool looking merch! Make sure to take a look at their terrariums...they are wicked!

What a beautiful facility! Stopped in for their grand opening and was amazed at such a sparkling clean, friendly place. It's very obvious that a lot of careful thought has gone into this place. The actual distillery is incredible. The whole place is just beautiful. Even on a scorching Texas Summer day, there's a strong breeze out on the porch. It's a very "Austin-esque" type place, down-home and friendly. Although I don't drink, my wife enjoyed a cocktail very much and we bought a bottle to take home. They had some nice lemonade and infused water for me too. Great design of the logo, bottles and everything. Really worth stopping in if you're in the area or just feel like a nice drive from Austin.

Driving home from Austin and saw the little sign and decided to stop. Great place with friendly people, good drinks and a great porch to sit and relax. We tried several different drinks and enjoyed them all! Will stop again whenever we’re passing by. Bought a bottle of gin for the house! Go say hello and enjoy their great setup!

Google
What a nice change of pace from the better known distillery down the road. Instead of an overcrowded atmosphere with way overpriced drinks, this place is relaxing and affordable. There's a great wrap around porch to take in the landscape around you, while sipping a delicious cocktail. I definitely recommend stopping in if you're in the area!

Google
Really nice place to stop in and have a refreshing cocktail on your way out to, or back from the Hill Country. They have a beautiful porch with a nice breeze as they’re on a hill. Their Gin and Vodka are really tasty and we took a bottle of Gin home. We’ll be back when we venture out that way again for sure.

Google
Beautiful scenery and great drinks! Our group tried almost all of the cocktails on the menu, and none were disappointing. Friendly owners as well! We will have to stop by again when in the area.

Shawn Hayes

Google
Such a great little spot for tasty spirits and great music.

Steve Elmore

Google
Delicious gin (straight), but mediocre cocktails combined with non-existent customer service. Clearly uninterested in telling their story, describing their gin & vodka, or ensuring we’d come back.

Yelp
Great stop on your trip to Dripping Springs. A family owned and run business. The owners are super friendly, and it's such a relaxing atmosphere. I had the blackberry smash with vodka and it was so good. They have the option of vodka or gin in your cocktail depending on your preference. Definitely a great way to spend a day!

Estrella S.

Yelp
Small little spot. Too bad they are closing. The drink my boyfriend got was pretty good. The views from the balcony were beautiful!

Yelp
We spent the weekend visiting distilleries and this was very disappointing. It's not busy at all but they still gave us gin instead of vodka. It would be okay to play some music as it's awkwardly quiet due to the lack of patrons. Finally, the people at the counter seemed annoyed with people overall. Another couple in the parking lot stopped us and asked if we had the same bad experience so it was not just us.

Yelp
Good cocktails at a good price! The wrap around patio is fantastic. I could sit out here for hours with a book or drink the day away with some friends! Worth the stop

Yelp
Had a great stop here. The blackberry smash was amazing. The Helen's were amazing too. They are very eco friendly, affordable and yummy. And the people were friendly. Win win win trifecta! We left with four bottles.

Jeff P.

Yelp
Family owned and operated distillery makes for a welcoming experience. Not like other local "corporate" locations. Patio is large with plenty of comfortable chairs. Vodka and Gin are amazing. My wife enjoyed the Gin sample which was truly surprising. She a vodka gal. This is a must stop. Bypass the corporate spots and come here first.

Claire K.

Yelp
Walked in was greeted and made to feel like I was in my own home. If my home was a sweet Distillery like the Frog Pond. Patio and chair were peace on Earth. With a amazing Texas Breeze. And the Gin and Tonic was just perfect. My sister got the cocktail of the day with lavender and gin and it was amazing. Color and all. I highly recommend a stop to this Local Distillery. They are A must try.

Yelp
While driving into Dripping Springs for an anniversary get away we spotted this beautiful building set near 290, decided to turn in and see what it was. We weren't disappointed, Super cute place, nice patio to hang out on while sipping lovely cocktails. Really reasonably priced drinks (mixed drinks either $5 or $6 depending on choice). Has an area to play games out front, and indoor and outdoor seating.

Lochness P.

Yelp
Delicious drinks! Vodka is super smooth. I recommend the Helen! And the patio with the view is beautiful!

Wanida S.

Yelp
I've always wanted to stop in and check this place out. It's got a great view and their vodka and gins were tasty. They weren't overpriced and had great service. **only open on the weekends.

Yelp
I am very new to the Gin world, but I was truly in need of an alternative to Dark liquors. I heard about this place from a coworker and decided to take a chance. I am very happy to say that the product that they are offering, not only the liquor, is amazing. They couldn't have picked a better location to place their distillery. The hills of Texas, day or night, make relaxing on the patio with the variety of gin and vodka cocktails that much more relaxing. The bright pops of color when you venture inside of the distillery are such a delight and really made my girlfriend and I feel happy to be in such a welcoming place. The gin was delicious and I plan to buy more bottles very soon. Don't think that my lack of praise for the vodka means that it isn't good (I am just not a fan of vodka..rough nights in college) but I definitely suggesting venturing out to this family run, local organization. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
What a hidden gem. We started off at another well known distillery down the road and googled what else was close by and found this awesome little spot with a great view. They make small batches of vodka and gin at the distillery and make a few different drinks to try. Their porch was a great place to hang out while playing giant jenga and relaxing. I noticed cornhole as we walked in as well. We watched deer randomly wandering in the distance. The drink I had was great, a cranberry vodka fizz, so I had another. The indoor space is fairly small and the patio could fit maybe 30 people comfortably. It was not crowded at all when we were there on a Sunday afternoon. We'll go again next time we're in Austin!

Yelp
Frog Pond Distillery was a pleasant surprise. I have been wanting to come here for a while now, but always drive-by, and don't get a chance to turn around. However, this time I made a trip purposefully to stop in. I am glad I did. Frog Pond is a family-owned business and passion project. The entire family was behind the bar the day my friend and I stopped in except for mom and I think a daughter. The family owns the land and has slowly overtime built the tasting room and production area themselves. They currently make a vodka and gin. They offered us a free sip of each to determine which we would prefer in one of their handcrafted cocktails. Both had a nice flavor profile that blends well in cocktails. Their cocktails were creative and they mentioned the family came up with the recipes together. The cocktails were delicious and very reasonably priced. Their space has a fun modern 50's theme. They have an outdoor patio you can sit back and relax on a nice day.

Yelp
I stopped by after a recommendation from one of the wineries in the area. The owners were very welcoming and their drinks were fantastic! I ended up buying a bottle of gin on the way out. It was chilly and the sun was going down so we weren't able to sit outside but the view was great and seems like a fun spot during the summer.

Rachel A.

Yelp
This is a family run business, which is a major plus! Love supporting local, small family operated businesses. Their vodka is top notch and their featured cocktails are great. The views from the porch are amazing and so serene. Definitely coming back for another round.

Steve T.

Yelp
They put advertising stickers on your car without permission, which is astonishing. I left the one on my trunk and added a sticker that says "sucks" under it. Unbelievable that they would do this.

Amy D.

Yelp
Love this place!! Their gin and vodka are amazing. Their cocktails are on point. The views are phenomenal. I am never going back to deep Eddy's when frog pond is right here?!?

Paul C.

Yelp
We were intrigued by the little "place on the hillside with the turquoise chairs" so we pulled in. Lucky us, they were not legally allowed to sell drinks yet so we got free samples which were full sized! Normally I don't drink gin and had not found one I liked UNTIL NOW. Bought a bottle and shared with friends who all agreed it was good Will be back again. Also, nice family who shared there journey to date getting the place open.

Anastacia R.

Yelp
My friends and I were doing distillery/brewery tours in Dripping Springs for a cute birthday celebration. We tried Deep Eddy's but they were closed so we decided to give Frog Pong a try and we were not disappointed! The guys at the front were helpful and kind. The drinks were so affordable and flavorful, I will definitely be back.

Andrea L.

Yelp
Pretty great Gin & great customer service. Tried them during the Dripping with Taste event and wanted to come back. Usually have live bands on the weekend, $5 cocktails that are fantastic and great views. The gin is fantastic!

Jennifer E.

Yelp
This place has been on my radar for a bit and we finally made it this past weekend. We walked in and basically said we have never been here before. We were given a menu and told they make the drinks with their gin or their vodka. They also had a few special drinks on small boards vs. their normal menu. We ordered drinks and they were $4 each. That was it. Nothing about them or a tasting of their pure product. It was a Saturday and there were a few people there. I asked for my drink to be made with vodka but I am pretty sure mine was made with gin. Nice patio area. They offer blankets for chilly days. That Is a nice touch. Appears bottles of their product is $21. We will be back maybe during the week to see if the vibe is different. If not, then it is a basically a bar using their product. Probably fine for most but we like a tad bit of back story. I am not a gin fan and since I think my drink was made with gin it was ok. Appears to be dog friendly which is always a plus. Also which came first the road or the distillery? LOL

Netters B.

Yelp
Lovely local small mom, pop, and son place. Dont be an impatient spoiled brat, it may take a few minutes to get a drink. It's worth the wait! The view is incredible! The parking lot is small so giant buses might not fit. Be patient princess!

Beth F.

Yelp
While visiting Austin over Labor Day weekend we decided to try some of the local distillery's. Not a place to park at a bigger establishment up the road and we're glad. Stopped in at Frog Pond and meet a great hostess. She was knowledgeable of their craft vodka and gin. Not a big gin drinker but I could definitely be won over with theirs. Wonderful porch, fun live jazz. Who could want more!

Heather M.

Yelp
Stopped by Frog Pond on a fun distillery tour weekend with my husband. It wasn't crowded like some of the other stops we made, and the drinks and bottle pricing was very reasonable. My typical spirit of choice is vodka and I've never been a fan of gin, but I really enjoyed their gin and the herbal flavors. The cocktail that I ordered was one of the best I had all day. Their porch had pretty views and was very relaxing. We will be back.

Deborah H.

Yelp
Very disappointing experience. Walked in and was greeted by what appeared to be a husband and wife team. The lady told us that the drinks were free but she would appreciate us buying a bottle. After ordering drinks we stood around waiting for about 5 minutes, drinks were ordered by others after we had ordered our drinks and the lady went to work immediately making the other patrons drink. After another five minutes the gentleman asked if we had been helped. I replied yes as I was hopeful our drinks were being made next. Unfortunately I was incorrect as she proceeded to chat with other patrons as I stood their thirsty and drink-less. We headed over to our old faithful Deep Eddy where we were served promptly.

Robert B.

Yelp
Worth the trip! Quiet property off of 290 in the Gateway to the Hill Country just east of Dripping Springs. Friendly local staff. Great booze.

Arko G.

Yelp
On our way to a wedding, we stopped by for a cocktail, and this was the perfect spot. We were debating between here and Deep Eddy, and we picked here for a more off the beaten path option and chill atmosphere. And we were definitely not disappointed. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and knowledgeable about their product. Outdoor seating is spacious with impressive views. Cocktails were highly affordable and very tasty. Unfortunately, tours were closed due to COVID, but we hope we can come back for tours some time soon!

Kelsie G.

Yelp
This place was super cute! Saw the turquoise chairs from the highway and a friend and I stopped in before a concert at Nutty Brown. Family run and super friendly! They haven't had their grand opening yet, so all drinks were complimentary, and sooooo delicious. Will return!

Patricia B.

Yelp
Excellent Gin & Vodka.... they make a couple of mixed drinks...super friendly people... had live music.... not very large place but super cozy...

Chelsea M.

Yelp
Love! This is a great new place. It's small, but it feels personable. They make great cocktails. I bought a bottle of gin after tasting it. They make their gin and vodka from rain water - very different and very cool. The gin is smooth and a slight citrus taste. Great parking option.

Ryan L.

Yelp
Laid-back spot off the highway in Dripping Springs. Choice of 10 or so drinks featuring their gin or vodka. Nice porch with a view and chairs. Family friendly. I recommend ordering the Mule with gin.

Charles D.

Yelp
Don't drive by! Frog Pond Lane is on 290 just east of the Sleep Inn. Dripping Springs newest distillery is fabulous with wonderful gin and vodka. The owner Alan and son Steve were incredibly gracious and friendly and the tasting drinks are very reasonably priced, unlike so many of the wineries. It's a beautiful new venue as well with a welcoming patio if the weather is good. First on our list to take visitors!

Sandra K.

Yelp
Walking into Frog Pond Distillery is like walking into your neighbor's home. The greeting is warm, the vibe is relaxed, and the spirit is wonderful. The "spirits" are limited to gin and vodka which are distilled on-site by the family. They serve original mixed drinks along with wonderful conversation about how they make their gin and vodka. Worth a visit whether you drink or not just to hear their story.

Stephanie B.

Yelp
So welcoming! They make amazing drinks and have a great view of the hill country. Comfy chairs, and blankets if you get a chill. Definitely recommend stopping by for a drink!

Tara H.

Yelp
First time here. Not what we expected. Very slow service and awkward line to wait in to pay and order drinks, one at a time. Bartender didn't seem seasoned to say the least. Not engaging or interested in telling us anything about their gin or vodka. Took us about 20 min or so to get a drink and there was only two people in front of us. We decided to have one and go.
