Where to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Season all Month Long in San Diego | Eater

"After being shuttered for more than a decade, Froggy’s by The French Gourmet reopened in late 2023 with the original team of Michel Malecot and Billy Orilio at the helm. Like the original Froggy’s, the cozy space is indeed frog-themed, and offers French Gourmet chef Adrian Talavera’s menu of small plates, flatbreads, and burgers, as well as breakfast sandwiches on the weekend. As for what to drink, you can’t go wrong with a $5 shot of Jameson." - Mary Beth Abate

What a great place to hang, since the first time I went there the Bartender Steph made me feel like home. It’s the best bar in San Diego and with the best service for sure! Food is also amazing, would definitely recommend. Gave 5 starts because I couldn’t give 10. Go on Thursdays that Steph is working, you won’t regret!!

In town to meet up with friends, wanted to grab a quick bite and drinks before starting the night and found this spot around the corner from our Airbnb. The place was nice and pretty chill, their fries were really good and their salad as well.

The food was absolutely terrible. We ordered grilled fish tacos, side salad, and cheese fries. The salad was ok, without the gross dressing. Fish was way overcooked and dry. The sauce, I mean sour cream didn’t help. I suppose they’re ready to be demolished for the giant tower and they don’t care. It was Sunday and they were clueless about football.

I had a work party at Froggys and we all had such a great time. The bar staff was so warm and gracious (Shoutout to photographer Marcos for getting great pics of our group). We really enjoyed putting tunes on the jukebox and hanging out. Drinks were delish, food was good, service was outstanding.

Good to see this bar return. Great place to grab a bourbon and a burger. Chicken wings and flat breads are good too. My neighborhood needed a bar focused on bourbon that has bourbon priced for drinking not status. I hope to see their collection grow, Prices and pours are good Cheers

Menu continues to change and amaze. Chefs Vera and Adrian put out the best dishes in Pacific Beach. (They are chefs not cooks). Happy hour is an incredible value. The shrimp, quesadillas, hamburgers and chicken strips are to die for. This place is a can’t miss. Everything is great and the menu is always changing. Different specials all the time.

This review is regarding the manager, named Jenn. Froggy’s food is amazing, and the bartenders are wonderful. This manager is rude and unfriendly and is in the wrong job. I bring my dog in there regularly , because they allow dogs. She’s always in my lap, and no one has ever said a word. Apparently they were getting inspected when we were in there today. And I asked the bartender if I should take my dog off my lap and put her on the ground and he said he didn’t know, that no one ever said anything to him about it. So I figured since dogs were allowed, I didn’t change anything. Then the manager comes in, and she walks up to us immediately and says “I need these dogs on the ground dogs on the ground now. Now. On the ground now! Now!” All you have to do is ask nicely and I’m happy to abide by the rules. Talking to me and being bossy and trying to be intimidating was uncalled for and unprofessional. I made it clear as I paid my bill and left that never been spoken to there before and that I’ve never been told my dog could not be on my lap before, or I would not have done it. And I did not have to be anywhere where i am spoken to like that. she didn’t care. She ignored us. I would like ownership to please contact me. I have never been treated so rudely at a place I patronize on a regular basis. UPDATE: THE RESPONSE BY MANAGEMENT (jenn)DOES NOT ADDRESS MY ACTUAL COMPLAINT. As i stated in my review, my issue is not with the rules, or being asked to abide by them. It was jenn’s rudeness that is unacceptable. IM HAPPY TO FOLLOW RULES WHEN IM AWARE OF THEM. No need to be rude to regular (or any) customers.

Really impressed w Froggys. Great prices, cool vibe, drink was strong. It’s a small place so can fill up and empty in a matter of minutes. Excited to come back
