"One of the smallest breweries on this guide, Frogtown feels a bit like you’re hanging out in your friend’s garage, except there’s an industrial brewing set-up instead of an unused homebrew kit. The Lites Out pilsner is ideal if you’re there in the daytime (it’s only 4.1% ABV), but there's also a good selection of hazy and milkshake IPAs if you want to kick things up a bit in the evening. "A tiny brewery named after the tiny neighborhood it’s in, Frogtown Brewery is a great spot to grab beers to-go. Pick up a four-pack of the Feather In It IPA, or the Strawberry-Basil Blonde, then walk down the LA River bike path until you find a quiet place to sit and drink it. "Another dependable Eastside brewery, Frogtown Brewery serves solid beers out of their small space by the LA River. We highly recommend the huge, boozy War On Sobriety, a 10% TIPA that’s going to knock you over after approximately one can. On the opposite end, their Feather It In is a great session we’ll happily drink all afternoon. They’ve also been making hand sanitizer to provide to local healthcare facilities. Order via their website for daily pick-up, or $5 delivery within 10 miles." - brett keating
"After grabbing an early afternoon cocktail and brunch at Salazar, head down the street to Frogtown Brewery. The small taproom kind of feels like you’re drinking inside of a friend’s garage, only with way better beer. At only 4.5% alcohol, The Feather In It session IPA is a great daytime beer and our favorite thing to put in our stomach before walking the dog down the LA River bike path for the afternoon." - brant cox
